Left over food

Hands down the worst fried chicken spot in Fresno/Clovis. We didn't finish our food because the place had a terrible smell to it, the tables were filthy hand to clean my own table. Service was not the best, chicken was rubbery and dry, fries were bland, and Mac and Cheese was disgusting. I wouldn't come back ever.

I was really excited to try Chicken Shack for the very first time! When I walked in there were 5 take out orders being prepared and 6 guests waiting on food . I ordered a 6 piece wings plain a small chili and lemonade, I got the wings plain because I wanted to try their sauces, and lemonade. The people behind the counter were cussing with the young men cooking the orders. Uncool, The wings came out under cooked , the lemonade was good , the ambiance was obstructed by the yelling and cussing behind the counter, if I was an under cover boss, 3 of the 5 people working would have been gone on the spot Please do not go here for 6 months , hopefully the manager will find some help that represents their brand better, I do not recommend, avoid , I'll try it again October 1,2025 and review

Hard pass. My husband reminds me to not rely on Yelp reviews. In this case, I should have listened. Upon entering this quiet, desolate restaurant I wasn't greeted. There were two tables accompanied by 2 guests per table. I ordered the chicken strips and a soda. The chicken strips came with ranch dressing. The chicken was barely breaded, flavorless and plain boring. You have to eat them hot, otherwise, they're not good. I ate 3 of the 6 that came to the order. How can you mess up chicken strips? I won't be coming back nor do i recommend.

Typical "fast service" interior. They have some funny sayings on the wall. The person taking our order was nice enough but not friendly. I thought it was strange they don't offer a cup for water.. you have to buy a bottle of water. Be patient because it takes a bit to get your food, it's not fast by any means. The strips and fries were hot and crispy. Very good.

While visiting Fresno/Clovis over the weekend, my son was craving chicken. We found The Chicken Shack on Yelp and decided to go....despite the negative reviews. It's located in a beautiful outdoor shopping center. Parking was fairly easy to find. And my daughter loves the waterfall on the walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. They have a variety of items to pick from from wings to tenders to bites. They even gave a chicken waffle slider. So we decided to get a little of everything. The French fries are to die for!!!! My son loved his wing & tender combo. And my daughter got the kids meal. I tried the chicken waffle slider. It was tasty. My only complaint would be that the waffle broke in pieces after a couple bites making it hard to eat. Wish we had one closer to us!!!!

Over charged? One of these cost almost $17, two of them were $13. Can you tell which one had the extra chicken? Ya me neither.

Can you tell which one cost $17 and which 2 cost $13? Me neither. The one in the middle had a strange marking but nothing to indicate the extra chicken I paid for.

I would like to make a note this place is a solid 3.5 stars. I ordered Lemon Peppered Chicken with Garlic Fries. I tried a side dip of Sweet BBQ. The chicken was good and the BBQ was suprisingly good but it was very sweet (I have never tasted BBQ like this before). Hubby tried Buffalo Chicken and said it was a bit too sweet. He would try the chicken again with a different flavor. This chicken is worth a try.

The Local has a ton of potential. My family and I were excited to try a new restaurant in Clovis ,…read moreand ran across positive reviews of this place. We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The shrimp scampi was well-seasoned and flavorful, paired with risotto that was slightly undercooked but not enough to take away from the dish overall. The chimichurri steak, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully--the chimichurri sauce was definitely the highlight. Our server, Jen, was also acting as host and bartender, and she handled it all impressively as the restaurant started to fill up. Even while understaffed, she kept everything running smoothly until additional staff arrived. Overall, it was a great experience

I love Heirloom. This place is definitely the gem of Fresno! It's not a fancy, high-end restaurant,…read morebut they absolutely know how to plate and make food that keeps their customer come back for more. Their dishes have their own unique twist, and while they may not always follow the traditional recipe, everything is incredibly flavorful and statisfying. The flavors are simple, approachable, and easy to enjoy. Making it a spot that almost everyone would love. They mainly focus on the new American table. A little fusion of some other ethnicity food here. They mainly focus on their limited menu and always wing it everytime. The consistency is always on point. I love their fresh farm to table ingredients. Their plate is super affordable and beautiful. AMBIANCE :: This place is always pack. The line are always long but it does move up pretty quick too. Indoor is always pack and stuff. They do have a large patio too. I wouldn't really recommend sitting out in the patio during the hottest time of the day but it's not that bad too. They do have mist and coolers outside. Artificial leaves covering up the place cools it down a lot too. The PROS for dinning in the patio is the fresh air. SERVICE : Is great. With the high volume of guest and crowed it is. They are so patient and friendly. RATE : 5/5 PLATES :: If you're undecided and wanted a little bit of everything. I recommend choosing a plate. You get a little bit of everything. Ill say everything taste generic but so good too. WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : SHRIMP W/ GARLIC BUTTER : Their garlic butter shrimp is so buttery. It's slightly seasoned and salted. RATE : 5/5 WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : SALMON W/ TZATZIKI SAUCE : I love their soft salmon with a lightly crispy crust. Llightly seasoned. It's not fishy and gamey at all. I love their tzatziki sauce and it paired so well with the lemon juice too. RATE : 5/5 WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : ANCHO CRUSTED PRIME TRI TIP : Nicely seasoned and salted. It's always come out medium rare, tender and juicy. RATE : 5/5 NOTE :If you like medium rare pieces of beef. Go for their tri tip. If you wanted more cook go for their ribeye. The cons about their ribeye is that they are not consistent. You can ask to be remade but it does take them awhile to cook it too. SIDES : TEPPANYAKI FRIED RICE W/ BACON : I love their bacon teppanyaki rice. It's probably a must have everytime you go there. I love their sweet sauce on top of the rice. It's a kids favorite choice too. The sodium level is perfect. Usually bacon would overly salted it but this fried rice is perfect. RATE : 5/5 SIDES : RIGATONI W/ SAUSAGE, PECORINO : Straight up generic boiled pasta with sour tomato sauce and sausage. It's so simple but its ok. I'll say this could be kids top 2nd favorite side dish. RATE : 4/5 FOUNTAIN DRINKS :: I love their unique fountain drinks. It's mainly focus on Mexican fountain drinks. OVERALL :: Sometimes the best food isnt about being authentic. It's about being delicious, the art, and this restaurant definetly delivers. I can already see myself coming back for more!

As usual there was a line, it took about 15-20mins for us to get to the front and orders taken. I haven't been here in years and I really missed it! Before reaching the registers our order was taken by a kind lady while we were in line. My order: salmon with tzatziki sauce, teppanyaki fried rice and rigatoni with sausage. I also ordered my kids from the lil sprouts: spaghetti with butter & parm. We requested for patio seat since we had our munchkins were with us. I've never seat in their patio area, it was wonderful! Shade, misters and ac though it was a hot 90 degree weather it was very cool and comfortable! Our food came out quickly and plated beautifully! Large portions. The food was amazing! So much flavors. The salmon paired perfectly well with the tzatziki sauce. The pasta was and the fried rice was delicious! The kids meal was also large portioned and enough for my kids to share and they enjoyed it. For dessert we ordered their frozen greek yogurt the baklava & honey was yum! Perfect treat to top our lunch! Will always recommend this place!
