I got the 3 Meat combo with Kung Pao Chicken, Jalapeño Chicken, and Mandarin Chicken, plus fried rice and chop suey. And let me just say: the portions are noticeably more generous than Panda. The Kung Pao Chicken was a little different from what I'm used to. No peanuts here -- instead, you get water chestnuts. Honestly, I didn't hate the substitution. The crunch made it feel surprisingly refreshing. The Jalapeño Chicken was easily my favorite. This was the only one of the three that actually brought some heat, and I appreciated it. Not "call 911" spicy, but enough to remind you that jalapeños were invited to the party. The Mandarin Chicken is basically Orange Chicken's cousin who went through a name change. Sticky, sweet, savory, and very much in the same family. Overall, Chinese Fortune is Panda Express without the corporate training video. These people are so rude. God forbid you change your mind on something and ask them that you want something else instead because they give you an attitude. They also don't have certain options by a certain time, even though it's over an hour before closing time. It's a restaurant! This is one of our favorite Chinese food places. We also enjoy Wok Deli in Norwalk but unfortunately they do not offer teriyaki chicken. We don't mind the drive from Norwalk to La Mirada because the food is just so delicious and juicy. You get a lot of food for such a great price.
