This place is under new management. Their food is always fresh, tasty and is constantly moving due to the amount of people coming in. Friendly staff and huge portions.

The service was amazing. Was greeted with a smile and good vibes. The food looked good and fresh on the counter bar under the heat lamps. The glass was clean and the prices are pretty good. Got chow mein, rice, kung pao, and orange chicken. All delicious and fresh. The 2 ladies behind the counter were working hard. The younger one took my order. But both happy and working hard. The place is clean and big inside. I'm definitely coming back. Vengan a probar lam mejor comida china en Whittier . Muy buen servicio! Y limpio.

Total for 2 plates with double items, 1 plate with single item, large egg flower soup 3 egg rolls and a Thai tea not bad at all

This is one of our favorite Chinese food places. We also enjoy Wok Deli in Norwalk but unfortunately they do not offer teriyaki chicken. We don't mind the drive from Norwalk to La Mirada because the food is just so delicious and juicy. You get a lot of food for such a great price. I was only able to finish half of my double orange chicken and the good thing the Chinese food still taste the same even when you warm it up. This place will not disappoint you. The food is excellent, great prices and great staff that are very helpful and patient.

I grew up living in Whittier most of my life and this was our favorite Chinese food place we would go to. The orange chicken is so juicy, there is absolutely nothing else like it. Since moving it's been awhile and since we were in the city we decided to stop by. The food taste the exact same as it did years ago. It's so good! I definitely recommend this spot especially for the orange chicken

I am very sorry to say that this place has gone downhill from what it once was. I have no idea if it is from the change in staff or management. This used to be a staple at my household, but it seems that the freshness and availability of all the dishes are rarely on point. I ordered orange chicken, bbq pork with chow mein. I had grabbed a bottle of soda from the fridge then looked at the register to see 15.00 on the screen. I left the restaurant thinking in my head..."with the money I just spent I should have just gone to SILVER PALACE or PANDA EXPRESS" less than a mile or two away mins mind you

The back of my mind is just the pounds of sugar in his recipes, but oh well! Located in a strip mall, with many Korean restaurant contenders, Mr. Paik has a pretty steady trickle of customers. You order at the counter and pick up once your beeper buzzes. I ordered a jjajjangmyun (black bean noodle) and tangsyuyuk (fried pork) to share with my sister. The portion makes sense with the price. I must say the best experience is to eat there while the food is piping hot. Mr. Paik hands down the best jjajjangmyun and tangsyuyuk that I had... the texture, sauce and everything was just perfect. They had other items that I want to try next step, like the stir fried jjampong! Reviews on their seafood jjampong didn't seem too popular, but ordered one to go to try and it was good too!!! This is the one time I shouldn't have trusted the negative reviews. Can't wait to come back again!

Lol. Shared space with so many high traffic shops like Hmart, Daiso, 85 bakery and Kang Hodong Baek Jong Kbbq. We were lucky to find a spot at 6:30pm on a Friday. We decided to eat out in the patio area since the weather was nice. The jjajang myun was really good. What stood out was how chewy the noodles were. And their yellow pickled radish had a nice tang to it, not too sweet. I also liked that they have 2 filtered water machines that dispenses both hot and cold water from copay. I will definitely be back to try their jjampong next! Hope parking is okay next time too.

It felt family owned, super cozy, and the service was genuinely amazing from start to finish. We definitely over ordered (everything sounded too good ), but honestly... no regrets. Portions are huge and perfect for sharing, especially the soups...they were rich, flavorful, and came loaded with so many ingredients. Every dish had depth and tasted authentic, not watered down at all. They also brought out a few extra dishes for us to try, which was such a nice touch and made the experience feel really welcoming. The banchan (side dishes) kept coming and were all fresh and flavorful you can tell they put care into every part of the meal. And the fried rice? Easily one of the best I've had. My absolute favorite was the noodles with the black sauce (I think it's jajangmyeon?) savory, slightly sweet, and so satisfying. Overall, amazing food, generous portions, and standout service. This is the kind of spot you come back to again and again.

My friends and I came here because the reviews from other yelpers had been great. The portions were good and price also wasn't too bad for four adults and two kids. The gripe we have was the Service. Which is why I took off a star and a half. My husband is Korean so he was conversing with the waitress in Korean the whole time. And he told us that every time she came by there was some sassiness or attitude. And he felt like he couldn't eat the food and enjoy it the way he wanted to even though it's Korean food and he's Korean. And at the end, she apparently rushed us out because another big party was coming in while we hadn't exactly finished eating yet, so we took some of the food to go and left some food uneaten on the table. I was in ignorance bliss because I didn't understand what they were saying but he usually doesn't get annoyed by these types of interactions but just be aware! It's a small place maybe eight tables. The bathroom is way in the back and it's not air condition but clean. I think I would still come back though because the food was really good to me and I really liked that bone broth and the spread of the side dishes. Maybe next time we just won't come on a weekend or peak hours or something. We did get seated really quickly probably bc we came right around opening time which was 11 AM on a Saturday, and it was also a holiday weekend.

As I was about to place my order at the kiosk, an employee informed me that only takeout orders were being accepted and that dine-in was no longer available. I was told this was due to a policy change from management. What I don't understand is that there was no notice posted anywhere about a dine-in cutoff time. Maybe this is normal for this restaurant, but it is not what most customers would expect. When a restaurant posts a break time of 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, most people assume that orders are accepted until 2:00 PM and that the break time begins at 2:00 PM. That has been my experience at most other restaurants. If dine-in service actually stops at 1:45 PM, then that information should be clearly posted at the entrance, on the kiosk, and online. Otherwise, customers may arrive before the posted break time and still be turned away for dine-in service. In my opinion, if customers need to finish their meals before 2:00 PM, then the restaurant should either post a dine-in cutoff time or list an earlier break time. Other restaurants with a 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM break time typically allow customers to enter and order before 2:00 PM. This appears to be an exception. I made a special trip to eat here and was disappointed by the lack of communication. Going forward, customers should know that a posted break time of 2:00 PM here may effectively mean you need to arrive early enough to finish your meal before 2:00 PM, not simply arrive before 2:00 PM. Because of this experience, I will think twice before returning during lunch hours.
