Very happy with our experience here. I brought my 8 year old son for a haircut and we were helped immediately with no wait time. Anthony was really nice and did a fantastic job. He took his time and both my son and I are so happy with the result. NOTE: the ONLY gripe I have is the music. I saw an earlier comment from the owner about there being a shuffle on Pandora which I totally get but since this is a family establishment I think that only the clean/censored version of the songs should be playing. QHCS is the best on the west side. Diamond cuts my sons hair so perfectly it goes without saying she takes pride in every client that sits in her chair no matter what age or cut requested. Thank you for being so great to him every time. Word of mouth is one of the best referrals a business can have. It's a personal experience here. Glad I found this place. I've cut my own hair for years because I've always hated paying money to walk out of somewhere bummed from not getting anything close to what I've tried to describe or from something getting lost in translation. Driving by here a few times on the way home, I have noticed that this shop kind of stood out as being a little offbeat. It sparked enough curiosity, from seeing the Caddy parked on the side and a few other details, that I wanted to try something different and see what it would be like to get a haircut here. I brought a book with me just in case there was a wait and also because I didn't really know what to expect. When I walked in, one of the barbers let me know to write my name down on the sign in sheet by the door. The wait was short, but it looks like I got lucky because by the time I left the place was packed! I learned while I was there that for future visits it is possible to make an appointment. But, unless you are in a time crunch and need an appointment, it seems like the wait wouldn't be a problem as everyone keeps the conversation rolling and the atmosphere makes it seem like a cool place to hang out until it's your turn. I forgot to ask the name of the girl who cut my hair/beard but she did an awesome job. I had no idea what I wanted when I sat down other than a low maintenance haircut and for my beard to not be such a mess. She asked a few questions and some follow-ups throughout the cut and the end result was exactly what we had talked about. I really liked this place to get my son's haircut. The three barbers were personable. The decor was AWESOME! I liked that there was a sign in sheet so I knew how far down on the list we were! I also like that you can make an appointment for $5 extra.... I hate the wait that comes with a trendy barbershop so this will be a nice option on those days you're dragging your feet to get that haircut. I felt like they did some really awesome cuts while I was there. It's a little tight as far as room but I think that lends to the cleanliness and lack of chaos... No where for people to let their kids mess around like I've seen in other shops. We will definitely make this our only place to go! Worst place ever to go without an appointment.. they had me waiting for 3 hours, 3 freaking hours for a hair cut its ridiculous.. they should be more organized and let people know and not make them wait that long. By the way i left without getting a hair cut. This place sucks. read more
