I would not recommend this company. The communication is terrible. I booked my appointment a couple of months in advance and asked if I could have a noon start time. I was told "it is not guaranteed and someone would call me the week before to confirm". I never got a call so I called them the day before and was told a crew would be here at 8:30am. So, I figured I did not get my requested time. On the day I wait, wait, wait. I finally called at 9:20 and asked where my crews was and was told they would not be here until noon. So frustrating!! The ladies did show up at noon and neither one spoke English. I had many things to show and communicate to them and had to use Google Translate - again, very frustrating. This was to do a deep clean in my home which required some unreachable shelves and was never told they would not be able to use a step ladder to reach the "high stuff". I had to readjust all shutters after they were cleaned and I had to reposition all of my decor as they were not put back in place. A company inspector (also did not speak English) showed up about 1.5 hours after they began and much of the house had not been cleaned so this was a complete joke and there is no way the company can verify the work was done to my satisfaction. It took them 4.5 hours to clean this house which was wayyyyy too long, therefore, very expensive. read more

I had a one time clean scheduled for a new build home with no furniture or tenants. It cost me $444 for 3 hours and change. They were late, did not call to let me know, cleaners spoke zero English so could not communicate what I wanted specifically done, had to call the call center 4 times for them to clean the items I wanted cleaned and what I was told would be done when I booked the appt. Overall very disappointing and stressful - which is what they were supposed to alleviate with this move in. Also have the cleaners on video- chatting anywhere from 10-15 min at a time several times during the 3 hours. Very much not worth the cost and do not recommend. They did offer to come back and address whatever I was not satisfied with but I honestly don't want anything to do with this company and do not want them in my home again. read more

We used TCA for almost three years. Over the last year, it is apparent that the company is struggling with finding good employees. The cleaning has been sub par and very inconsistent. When the owner met with me to give me an estimate, he bragged about his staff always being on time for cleanings. My husband works from home so this was a big seller for me. Cleaning day comes and we are scheduled for 8:30 am. Husband went to work at a coffee shop while they're supposed to be here cleaning but ends up having to stay there alllll day long because the crew was 7.5 hours late. They showed up at nearly 4 pm and didn't finish until after 6. Not only that but you pay by the hour and I can see on my security cameras one of the girls on their phone for ten + minutes at a time. A waste of time and money. I was quoted roughly $160 for the initial clean yet was billed $250. The cleaning job was subpar. They'll pick up your items to dust and then not put them back where they were. My light fixtures didn't get touched and my floors look like crap. They didn't follow their list of things to clean. They have been cleaning our house for almost a year now and we have been overly satisfied with the results! They have also been coming to clean the house throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the new protocol and procedures they have in place make us feel very comfortable. My main problem with this service is the number of different people who came through my home - at least 10 over a period of a few months. The secondary resin for firing this company is that they do not follow their own rotational schedule. Nothing ever gets cleaned completely at any one time. This was the letter I sent the owner of this franchise: I was going to wait until Monday to let you know that I am not happy wth your services, but after seeing a window ledge that is filthy and has trash on it, I am too upset to wait. Right after your cleaning crew left, I came back to my home and office where the floor at the entry was still dirty, the closet floor was not mopped thoroughly and had stains still left on it, crumbs on the kitchen counter, no sweeping under a desk, animal hair clumps left on the stair well and in the hallway, paper remnants next to the paper shredder left behind, and that was just a quick glance. And just this moment, hours later, I noticed the trash and cat hairs on a window ledge in my bedroom. This is what prompted me to write this email now. You should know that your staff does not follow the tasks on the lists as it pertains to that week. Or they don't follow it all!!! For example, my dinning room chairs were not vacuumed before Thanksgiving. I pointed this out to the next crew who vacuumed it then (first part of December), but the chairs haven't been vacuumed since!! Also, I did NOT agree to nor do I appreciate the number of different people you placed in my home and to never see again. This is my HOME. This is where I do BUSINESS. This is my family's safe place and to have dozens of individuals walk through my home on a REGULAR basis is unacceptable. You mentioned people would be training, but I certainly didn't expect this. You put me in a position to TRUST every one of your employees, and frankly, that's something I can't do. Especially when you choose employees who are high drama and "don't like dogs" as I heard today from the new person---that I wouldn't see again!! I overlooked a lot of things, because I was waiting for you to give me a crew that would be here consistently, each and every time. Last week, I saw improvement (only after i mentioned it to the lady) and decided to try again. But today, I am terribly disappointed with today's service. read more

We had them clean our house for the second time on Monday. They spent 2.5 hours cleaning. Dirt on the floors cabinets not clean so we took pictures and called they said they would come back and clean to get it right. Ok awesome. But as we went thru the rest of our house. We saw that we had packages that they had emptied. Example I had toys I bought for my daughter still in the Amazon box on my dresser they took all the toys out set them on my dresser and threw the box away. Of course my daughter walks in the room with me and sees all the toys we were waiting to give her. They also took my Father's Day gift out of the store bag and left it on the tv stand for me to find so my kids didn't get to give it to me. We also found our reusable grocery bags in my wife's dresser drawer. Took pictures that were in boxes because we were not ready to hang them up yet and threw the boxes away. Our trust was broken at this point so my wife called them back and said charge us for the cleaning and cancel our services. We agreed to 70 and hour so 175 plus tax. Well they decided to raise the price because we canceled to 100 dollars and hour and no one will call us back read more

I have been using this service for over two years now, and they have been a lifesaver. I am pleased with the rotational schedule, etc. Like other reviewers have said, the teams have changed over the years, but the one I have now has stayed the longest. Good thing I think they are one of the best I have had (Thanks, Sandra and Liliana)! Also, Barry and the staff have usually responded to my questions and my need to reschedule on occasion with understanding and action. My only "suggestions for improvement" pertain to the following. Please note: I say all of these things with personal experience in the custodial arts, so I have a good idea of what should be expected or not. 1). I struggled at first with finding a schedule that worked for me, and I felt somewhat pushed into choosing a day and time that wasn't right. I was told this was because the team had other houses to do near me, and well, that was the best time, so choose it. Never mind that they might show up an hour earlier than expected. Finally (after some struggles) we found a happy compromise. Now, if they go off schedule, I expect due notice, but I have to tell you, someone showed up at my door unexpected more than once. I do have a life, and can't just sit at home in case the schedule gets changed. And no, I do not trust anyone other than my immediate family with a key. Been burned on that before and won't do it again. (Especially not with the changes in staff that, understandably, do sometimes occur.) 2). There is never an overall deep clean or detailing, not even once a year. The corners and places that even my own vacuum is able go are never free of debris. The toilet pedestal and other similarly reachable places are never cleaned, either, that I can tell. Getting to these overlooked places, even underneath furniture (either moving it or using the right tools), might be an additional service to offer. 3). None of the teams has ever taken trash from each room and dumped it into the main bin. This is a small thing, but... really? 4). The mops/rags need to be cleaned themselves. Unless I ask for the crew to add scented cleaner to the water, my house is left smelling like wet dog. Change out the materials more often, and this won't happen. That said, overall, I'm happy with the service, and will continue with them. read more

I received a flyer in the mail from this company I called and scheduled a quote. So far it was great price loved the team that cleaned my house. Finally I had found a GREAT company and loved the service. Barry was great with communicating with me. Until I had to change my normal scheduled date to the following week because my kids had step. The new crew didn't not clean my floors they were sticky the ceiling fans were not properly cleaned. It was not the service I had received before. I was very nice to Barry with emails still let him know I wanted his service even after my son's 20 dollars was missing from a previous service. BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFERENT PEOPLE EVERY TIME. I was so happy with this company. I am not sure what new hires he has but they were not doing the job of the prior crew I had with cleaning authority. The email Barry replies with was an easy way out: "I think it's probably best if we consider moving on, Jeniffer. The pricing I gave on your home simply does not allow us the necessary amount of time to properly clean it. Beware!!! Do not hire this company to clean your home or office! You will have different people in and out of your home at each cleaning. They do not do what they say they are going to do. They have a "rotation schedule" which is a complete joke. On many, many occasions the cleaning that they signed off on was not done. It was awful. The employees complain instead of clean. Totally unprofessional staff. We gave this company chance after chance to improve and make things right and it only got worse. Do not waste your money!!! It will be money spent for nothing!! DO NOT hire this Company. They sound great on paper, but their service is terrible. They ALWAYS sign off on cleaning that they don't do. I have complained many times and am usually told they are restaffing or fixing internal problems, etc. and that it won't happen again, but nothing has changed. I'm done! Firing them today because, again, they didn't remove spider webs and dead bugs on window sills, corners, floors etc. I tried calling corporate to complain but was told I had to work out problems with local franchise, even after telling them that hasn't worked. They claim to have a rotation schedule where every part of the home is cleaned. (Bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, etc.) The first two times they came they were done as described. After that, they did a lousy job. They said they would clean under the furniture, but there was dust under the beds, sofas and chairs. I walked in while they were cleaning the bathrooms and the ladies were dunking their rags in the toilet bowl to clean the toilet. It is disconcerting to have different people show up every time. read more

We tried The Cleaning Authority after meeting with their staff and getting a quote for what would be a "detailed and thorough" cleaning. They requested a door code so they could enter without delay. For the initial deep clean the agency sent 2 members of their staff to clean our home while paying extra attention to the kitchen and bathrooms. The following visit would be a deep cleaning for other areas of the home. They arrived promptly and brought all supplies as stated. We left after they completed the upstairs, so they could finish the job and we would be out of their way as they were working downstairs. They had asked for a code to the door, stating they typically have customers use a predetermined code in all homes so the staff can enter with ease. After they had finished, the manager once again requested the door code stating that they had left something. I unlocked the door remotely so they could enter. When I returned home the floors in the kitchen were not even mopped and the bathtub was dusty. If this was their first time out and a deep clean, I can only imagine what their standard work would be. When I contacted the office to discuss their quality of work, rather than return my call, the manager, Barry, had the cleaning ladies call back asking to come redo anything I was dissatisfied with. This company was very quick to take my money, but gave little effort in righting their wrongs. I have used cleaning services for years, this was deeply disappointing. I have called the office several times, unsuccessful at reaching the manager. I would suggest going elsewhere for your cleaning needs. What was supposed to be taking something off my shoulders has left me spending additional time to deal with subpar service and required me to do the work anyway. read more
