Classic Lox with rosemary with sea salt and cheddar chive schmear
    Clare C.

Came here for a bagel on a Saturday late morning. Was able to park on the street for a little while we went inside to get our bagels. The inside doesn't have any seating and we had to wait a little in line which was expected on a Saturday morning. I ordered the classic lox bagel on an a rosemary with sea salt and cheddar chive schemer. I loved it. It was very tasty and filling. Bagels were fresh! Yum!

If you're looking for fresh, reasonably priced bagels this spot has exactly what you need. Made and served by such a welcoming staff, these bagels were bound to be delightful. The menu is small, but still has such great selections that I couldn't decide and wound up buying two bagels for myself. I ordered the sea salt bagel with cheddar chive schmear and the cinnamon cranberry bagel with plain. Between the two, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Plus, I only spent $8!

We were on our way out of town and needed to grab a bite to eat. This place was right on our way, so it was the perfect answer to our needs. The bagels looked great, and I am a self-declared bagel snob. They also had an interesting selection of cream cheese shears. I tried the cheddar & chive - it was really good, although the cheddar flavor was pretty subtle. Definitely a top notch bagel shop!

The Cleveland Bagel Company on Fairfax is a busy, local spot for fresh, homemade bagels. I tried two of their small selection of bagel options yesterday as I was in the area before their 1pm closing time for once! Honestly, the parking situation makes no sense and made me a bit anxious if I would get a ticket for a $4 bagel experience. This tiny storefront was packed with people an hour before close on a Saturday afternoon of which I'm assuming consisted mostly of locals picking up after-Church people buying their brunch bagels. The staff were friendly and very busy. As an FYI, there is no bathroom nor anywhere to sit. There are a few non-food items available to buy, like stickers, shirts, and spreads. I bought a little sticker of an illustration that looked just like my dog. Very cute! The bagel I ate for lunch was the rosemary bagel and the bagel I saved for the next day was a salt bagel. Bialy's Bagels in University Heights offers a rosemary bagel that is loaded with rosemary. This one just has a light sprinkling. However, their salt bagel was so overloaded with salt, it was a bit overwhelming! Overall, I liked the rosemary bagel the best of the two. Honestly, I liked the bagels and I dug their "homemade" vibe, but I just like other local bagel places more, like Bialy's Bagels, which is also slightly cheaper per bagel. The Cleveland Bagel Company charges $2 a bagel which I think is about $0.50 too much. The honey brie shmear sounded absolutely delicious but as I was already planning on a calorie-heavy dinner that day, I skipped trying their shmear. Hopefully next time!

Unless you've been living under a rock, I'm sure you've heard of Cleveland Bagels, termed the best bagels in Cleveland, Ohio. Why is it the best? It must be the Lake Erie water or how the hand make them but whatever it is, they are good. I visited this 2nd location (east side) of Cleveland Bagel Company in October 2020. I came to buy a breakfast sandwich before work. BREAKFAST -- I ordered the Rosemary Sea Salt Bagel which came with egg and bacon breakfast sandwich (I got it with no cheese). It was tasty but it was hard to eat because it was VERY salt. I love rosemary which is why I choose this bagel but the sea salt was overwhelming. I don't recommend this bagel. I'll stick with a plain bagel next time. DRINKS -- They sell water, coffee, orange juice, tea. I ordered a small bottle of orange juice for $2.50 which is definitely expensive but that's all relative to your budget. Still, the bottle size appears to be less than a cup of orange juice. Overall, I know I'll be back to their west side location but I'll get a different bagel. The Rosemary Sea Salt bagel is just very salty, in my opinion. **** - 21/150 total reviews in 2023 - 572 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 14 February 2023

Veggie sandwich (on everything bagel with spicy hummus)

I came to Cleveland to attend a friend's wedding and naturally looked up places for good food online and found this spot! Having lived in NYC for 5 years, I can be somewhat of a bagel snob, and after looking at the reviews of how great the bagels were here, I decided to drive 20 minutes out of the way for it. I placed an order online since we were running late for the wedding and while it showed an ETA of 40-45 minutes, I was able to call and confirm that it would only take 20 minutes to make my veggie bagel sandwich and my friend's bagel with schmear with an added bacon. We went and picked up our order and it was already ready under 20 minutes and brought it back to our hotel to consume. My veggie bagel sandwich was quite delicious. The homemade spicy hummus was delicious and went really well with the lettuce, cucumber and tomato. They also didn't skimp on the avocado which I was really appreciative of. My everything bagel was also pretty good. The consistency was almost spot on, with the exception that the crust could have been a little crispier. The veggie bagel sandwich is also a nice vegan alternative that doesn't feel like you're getting a lesser-quality dish just because it's vegan. I would definitely come back if I'm in Cleveland again!

How have I never reviewed this place!? Definitely the best bagels around. I love the everything, sesame, and rosemary sea salt. I can't speak to all the sandwiches because well I only ever get the #5 BLTO on one of the aforementioned bagels with cheddar chive schmear. She is perfection so I have no reason to stray. One of my favorite sandwiches in the land. Also their bacon is the BEST. I don't know what kind it is or how they cook it but it's everything. Trust me just get it.

Always good and consistent. I recommend if you buy a dozen and can't eat them quickly to slice them up and place in plastic bags. They will keep well in the fridge and eventually In the freezer. Toast them in the oven for best taste and texture. My favs are the salt ones. I love the everything bagel and rosemary as well. Cream cheese always good. These are the best bagels in CLE! Get some.

Cheese, bacon, egg on a sesame bagel.

Classic NY bagel. Crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I got the egg cheese and bacon on a sesame bagel. it was really good, but difficult to eat without all the insides slipping out- grab extra napkins! My friend tried the rosemary bagel- really great flavor and more unique than the usual kinds of bagels. My only complaint is that these bagels are on the more expensive side.

Everything bagel with cream cheese. That with a small black coffee - $6.00...!!!

Okay bagel - definitely overpriced. Earlier this week I had a bagel from Bruegger's that I thought was great. It was with a firm outer shell, and a soft chewy inside. It was delicious paired with the cream cheese that they provide. I later read online about how ostensibly "great" Cleveland Bagels is supposed to be so I decided to give them a try. I drove to the one on Carnegie right around 9:15 AM on a pleasantly sunny Friday. Upon reading the menu, I was disappointed to learn they didn't offer espresso. A strong espresso with a bagel and cream cheese is one of my favorite treats. So I went with the everything bagel with cream cheese and a small black "drip" coffee. To my surprise this one bagel with cream cheese and small black coffee was $6.00! Yes, that's one bagel with cream cheese and one small black coffee. That's quite a profit margin they're enjoying! The everything bagel had good seasoning, but there wasn't a lot of contrast between the outer shell and the inside. The shell had a decent firmness, but the inside was kind of dry and stale to a degree. I don't understand how it could've been stale already being it was only 9:15 in the morning. There's really no excuse for that. I don't know that I would return. I mean for one it's very expensive. Like I said six dollars for one bagel and coffee is exorbitant. I could've got a decent size breakfast at other cafés for that much. And I feel like the Bruegger's bagel was just a better quality bagel, and tasted better. So I think I'll pass on Cleveland bagel for a second time.

Literally every time I come here and order more than one bagel, at least one of the bagels is not mine. It's actually ridiculous.

Does Bialy's Bagels make the BEST bagels in all of Cleveland?…read more YES!!! Without a doubt! #BestbagelsinCleveland I moved to Cleveland in late 2019, right by Bialy's and would often walk over every Sunday to pick up my sister and I a cinnamon crunch bagel before they sold out for the day. We loved these large bagels, generously topped with crunchy cinnamon sugar as sweet Sunday brunch treats. I moved in 2021 and am no longer close to the store (and also didn't eat bread for 2 years) but I went back last Sunday to recreate some of the pre-pandemic magic I remember. Bialy's has since expanded to also be a sandwich shop but I just got two bagels, one rosemary and one cranberry cinnamon. They were both hot and fresh and under $2 each. I've been to other bagel places since but nothing compares to Bialy's! I also saw one of the co-owners while I was there and felt like I was in the presence of a celebrity!

Bialy's Bagels is a small, no frills, budget friendly bagel shop. It's a pick up location only, no…read moretables/table-side service available. You'll find interesting bagel flavors here (such as egg, cinnamon cranberry, and onion) and merch (tees, hoodies, Mish Mosh seasoning, greeting cards, and stickers). My order: - Asiago Bagel - Toasted with Smokie Salmon Schmear ($5) - Bagel was over toasted, dry, and too salty. Schmear was more like lightly whipped cream cheese, not flavorful. Barely there salmon is the best way to describe it. - Cinnamon Cranberry Bagel with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Schmear ($5) - Bagel tasted like plain bagel. Schmear very light on flavor. - Mish Mosh Bagel ($2) - Plain, not toasted. It's their version of everything bagel. I ordered this bagel because I overheard it being a popular choice while waiting for my order. It's way too salty, and I love salt. It didn't taste freshly made this morning and tasted not fully made inside. - Coffee ($2.50 for 2 small coffees): Flavorless and barely warm coffee. The menu is pretty well outlined on multiple signs at checkout. It clearly indicates up charges and premium topics. If you purchase bagels dozen, you'll get one bagel for free. Other options are sammies, bialy wheels, and bialy sticks. Most customers ordered baker dozen during my visit. Service: Service was alright. I felt a lot of pressure to order (especially as the first timer). Other guests were pretty rushed too. Checkout did not make much sense too. If you order a dozen bagels, they'll take your order in line. If you order a single bagel with schmear or sandwiches, you must go to the checkout counter and repeat your entire order. Service was quick, my order was up quickly and all customers were addressed in a timely manner. Parking: Parking lots are available in the front and the back of the store. The bagel shop is in a little strip mall area. If you're looking for a wallet-friendly bagel, this is the place to be. If you're looking for bold flavors or more standard bagel experience, it's probably best to venture out. I unfortunately personally didn't enjoy any part of my meal but appreciated the low prices.
