Huge portions, amazing food! It is clear that this restaurant takes the time to make great food with high quality ingredients. The service was fantastic and the outdoor dining has great vibes! Very family friendly! Dogs, too!

Lovely restaurant with outdoor seating. Perfect for a warm summer day. Loved the vibe but the fish n chips were only alright. My friend did like the chicken sandwich so maybe i just got the wrong dish! Service was great.

Great restaurant that's tucked away. Lots of brunch, lunch and dinner options that all sounded good. Parking was easy since it's near a park but can see how it can get busy easily. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well. Their patio is really nice too for larger groups.

Always love the quality of food and service, top notch! We are coming here for last year more than 10 times and never regret, super fast food delivery, delicious drinks and we are very picky with food overall. A lot of choices for kids! And for seafood eaters, great menu

Great atmosphere and friendly service. The outdoor patio seating is perfect and spacious. The food was great as well. Ordered a pizza and Cesar salad. Simple and hit the spot. Would definitely come back soon!

The Cloverfield is one of my go to spots with a nice quiet patio and yummy food when I have guests or meetings. The servers are friendly. I enjoy their brunch quite a bit, especially the pancakes (always order them for the table!). I opted to get the Asian salad while my friends got more breakfast dishes. Everyone kept saying they really liked the location.

The coolest inside dining room that I loveeeee.

I love it here, I love inside so much- all the color and pictures!! awh the feng shui is on point! Outside is perfect for a warm day, it's a nice area (even with being across from the airport) I normally come mid day for lunch and it's calm and peaceful. Service is lovely, coffee and bloody mary's are delicious, I love the fried chicken sandwich, fries are crispy, tomato basil soup that comes with the grilled cheese is heavenly and the burgers and juicy and flavorful!! 10/10 would recommend :)

I've dined at this place multiple times since I was very young. It has a lovely location being across from a soccer field/park/airfield/flight museum which means plenty around it that gives it a lovely atmosphere! The outdoor seating is lovely and the inside seating is no different. The waitress's/waiters vary. Some are very engaging and will check on you while others don't give you as much attention which didn't ruin the experience, it just was something to note. When it comes to the food it's very average pricing when it comes to a restaurant with this vibe and setting. This most recent visit the Chicken pot pie I had was better than most I've had. It was thick and the crust was very nicely done. The mashed potatoes and peas on the side was great as I got to add however much I wanted. Though I enjoyed the chicken pot pie, it still lacked seasoning. Just a note. Overall I'll come back here to try more of the menu but it's not anything special in terms of the actual food. Plenty of cheaper places that are tastier.

Came for an impromptu Father's Day gathering and it wasn't packed which I appreciated. Eating outside here just makes you appreciate living in LA. I splurged and ordered a Bloody Mary and those bartenders know how to do it. Everyone enjoyed their meal but the surprise star was the chicken pot pie. Our kiddo really enjoyed coloring their paper placemat.

    What's the corkage fee/policy?

So I see theres Al fresco / Garden / Patio / Dinning as options for seating but what/where exactly is this?…

It's a regular restaurant. You can dine in the garden (outside seating), on patio or inside.

    Are there vegan options available?

Yes, a few of the expected suspects. But it is all good and the outdoor space is so worth it. Actually planned out before covid so it wasn't a lady minute hack job.

    Are you dog friendly?

    Yes! Ee love dogs!

Do you have to make a reservation to dine in? We were turned away and said they only take reservations after going through the trouble of showing us the menu.

We certainly recommend reservations so you are guaranteed to have a table. You can call for a booking, book through our website or Resy.com.

During the social hour times, what menu is offered? Brunch or dinner?

The social hour menu is offered. https://thecloverfield.net/menu/#social_hour_menu

Do you have high chairs for kiddos?

    yes we do...

Why are you not open during the week for lunch? This doesn't make sense to me?

Thanks for reaching out Steve. We are currently open for Dinner Wednesday - Sunday and Brunch on the Weekends. We look forward to expanding our hours as we continue on, as Covid restrictions are relaxed and offices and schools open back up.

Event was held on an evening the restaurant was closed so can't comment on general noise level Service: no issues, staff was extremely helpful with clearing the dishes, bringing out to go boxes pre emptively prior to the end of the event to allow guests to take leftovers to go Food: - Proteins were surprisingly not overly cooked/dry! Hard to say this routinely about salmon and chicken - Pizza/flatbread: nothing super standout but crust was not dry, tasted mostly of cheese - Oven baked sweet potato: garnished with strawberries and cheese, blistered for a nice caramely flavor on top of the already nice sweetness - Pasta salad: nothing special but also nothing alarmingly bad - Sadly didn't get to try to tuna crispy rice - Desserts: an assortment of small eclairs, profiteroles, and brownies -- feel like this is where the food fell flat. The eclair and profiterole pastry was kind of flat/dry (didn't taste fresh really). Brownie was probably the best - moist but also nothing super amazing Interested to come back in the future to see how The food (especially the dessert) fairs outside of large events.

Parking: They have an adjacent paid parking lot though metered street parking is cheaper since they unfortunately don't validate. Ambiance: Really gorgeous inside, with high arced wooden beam ceilings, natural light through skylights, romantic dim lighting, candles, lots of potted trees for greenery, and velvet seating to add elegance. Even the plates are worth admiring. They have a nice patio with heat lamps for cooler evenings as well. I absolutely love the vibes for date night. I have eaten here four times now and have a reservation ready for my fifth. The menu changes EVERY WEEK and the fact that the ingredients are so seasonal, and the chef really seems to takes pride and passion in creating different dishes so often, keeps me coming back each time. They have done specials from Sunday Night $35 7-course omakase to 50% off Neighborhood Patio nights to $65 for two 4-course date nights and the quality is so worth it. I even came by for an art class hosted on the patio since they hold multiple community events, including sports watch parties. The best yellowtail I've had (including eating in Japan and various sushi spots in LA, OC, SF, and NY) was surprisingly here, at a place I was honestly hesitant to even order sushi from. It's the first time I actually really could taste the flavor as it's more subtle than tuna, salmon, or albacore but they somehow made it incredibly memorable from the freshness. Definitely order the hamachi with pomegranate. I loved the flavor with the ponzu and that it wasn't just the basic jalapeño combo. There was a Singaporean crab garlic butter noodle dish they made once that was incredible though sadly seemed to be on the menu that time only. This was my absolute favorite entree they've offered so far. The gem lettuces Caesar salad is amazing although unfortunately, both times I've ordered it without cheese, they forgot. The boquerones (anchovies) are a gem (ha) that really adds to the salad and I love the texture from the herb crust. Their signature shrimp toast has a good crunch from the sesame seeds and distinct pieces of shrimp rather than mush inside and the ikura on top adds another good layer of flavor. The vegetable curry was rich, flavorful, and savory witbout being too heavy with perfectly cooked potatoes that didn't just hide in the sauce in a way that actually didn't make me miss the meat. The short rib curry had such tender meat and the roti made in house was actually a major highlight for me as it was so flaky, hot, crispy and had an amazing garlic flavor. The chocolate pot de creme had a good orange zest flavor to add to the chocolate and wasn't too rich or heavy though the texture was thicker. The calamari had super crispy batter so didn't associate it as much with a lighter tempura one but the lemons in it and the roasted garlic marinara sauce it came with were so good and added a lot of depth. The butter curry prawns has SUCH well cooked shrimp - flavor was amazing. Miso salmon was good though crispy skin side up would have been better personally. I liked the olive oil flavor in the vinaigrette and the lemon with veggies on the side as well. The tres leches was surprisingly light for a cake and very moist so I enjoyed a lot and the caramel ice cream wasn't overly sweet. The lychee vodka drink is my favorite (came with a drink pairing they offered with Sunday omakase) and the imperial gold yuzu cocktail is better for those who like a stronger drink. The grilled asparagus was cooked to a tenderness with great flavor from the crispy onions on top that have somehow made it among my top favorite dishes here, despite it just being a small side vegetable dish but I didn't like asparagus until this! I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner over brunch personally, as those have been my most memorable bites. Definitely order the yellowtail sashimi, shrimp toast, gem lettuces Caesar salad! Hoping the garlic butter crab noodles, grilled asparagus with crispy onions, and housemade roti reappear on the dinner menu!
