Serving mediocre food + shitty service = no thank you, and I would not recommend. As a regular customer who frequently visits--often enjoying the wonderful service provided by Andre--I was appalled by how I was treated. I can't imagine how they treat other customers Upon my arrival, the manager seated me at a table. Shortly after, a server approached me and, without greeting me or offering a menu, bluntly stated, "This table is reserved." When I explained that the manager had just seated me there, he responded disrespectfully, stating, "Table is for five, she's single," and demanded that I get up and move. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability from management and the owner, both of whom were present. Rather than attempting to rectify the issue or address the server's rude behavior, they acted as if nothing had happened and dismissed the situation entirely. Being blamed and mistreated for sitting at a table where your own staff placed me is completely unacceptable. While I have appreciated the convenience and good service from certain staff members in the past, this experience was deeply off-putting. Had a great experience for Dine LA lunch. The hanger steak was tender and perfectly cooked, and the open-faced lobster roll featured impressively large chunks of lobster. The staff was incredibly attentive- spontaneously moving the umbrellas so the sun wouldn't hit us without us even having to ask! Despite being busy for a Friday lunch, lunetta delivers high-quality food in a great atmosphere. While the banana bread and gelato didn't quite hit the mark, the overall meal was excellent. We had a very nice dinner here inside on a Tuesday night. I loved the whiskey cocktail which is brought smoking to your table. We shared the cheese plate and gen ceasar and the servings are quite large and perfect for sharing. The BBQ scottish salmon is a real standout and the fries and blistered spinach great sides. Little Gem Caesar- plum tomatoes, croutons, reggiano, white anchovy dressing. And fresh cut Kennebec Fries with chipotle aioli and ketchup. The patio was so lovely and one of the staff members (I forget his name but he has kids in college) went above and beyond to accommodate me (when he found out that I'm a teacher) with a change in cocktail and A+++ service. My husband and I stopped by on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm for an impromptu date night and were seated quickly even without a reservation. The restaurant has two parts to it and the dinner service area is cute and cozy with a French cafe-like vibe in its decor. The crab cake was good- more crab than filler which is how we like it. The shiitake was not overpowering in the pasta and the white wine sauce was nice and light. The ahi crudo was also tart and refreshing. Loved how many fresh vegetables were in each dish. I came here midday on a Tuesday, and it was extremely quiet although about 30 minutes after we arrived it started slowly getting busier. Busy place would seem is a norm for this venue. We had a very relaxing plunge, and we did not feel like we were being rushed out and received great service all along the way. We only ordered three items, including a latte which was actually pretty good and well worth it, and also ordered the avocado toast which was very good although a little small and the lemon pancakes which were absolutely outstanding. Came here at 10 am on a Saturday after picking up some friends from the airport. We had a reservation for 10:30 am but there was almost no guests there yet so we were able to be sat early. I think the main entrance is in the back, facing the parking lot which is a decent size. They have an outdoor seating structure, completely shaded, in the parking lot as well as some tables on their patio. We didn't see much of the inside except for the bathrooms because we chose to sit on the patio which was the perfect option for us. The sun started to get a bit more intense so they opened large blue patio umbrellas to protect us which was very nice. I decided to get the crispy jidori chicken & pancakes ($24) while the rest of the group got the two+two+two, OG breakfast sandwich, and eggs Benedict. They also got 2 coffees and Bloody Mary. Everything was out quickly since we were some of the first guests. The chicken wasn't completely crispy all over because of the marinated peppers but had great flavor. It went well with the syrup and melted butter. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. A lovely brunch spot! I would be interested in seeing their dinner menu sometime as well. I stopped in for lunch today and had an outstanding lunch here. The staff is absolutely top notch, knowledgeable and kind and of course attentive without being overly so. I started with a glass of chilled Beaujolais and decided to try their new steak taco dish. When the plate arrived I was truly blown away. The tacos were deconstructed with corn flour tortillas for you to build out with a citrus cabbage and an ancho sauce, along with pico de gallo. The steak was so perfectly done and flavorful and the portion was so generous for a munch portion that at first I was a bit nervous I wouldn't be able to finish it all. That changed the second I took a bite of the steak. It was cooked medium rare plus and was so easy to cut, you could have used a butter knife. It was so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned that I could not stop eating it. The tacos paired quite well with the versatile chilled red wine and if I were to rate the entirety of the meal it would be 10 out of 10. Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never had a bad meal here. Their attention to detail is simply their DNA, along with their kindness, ambiance and the overall quality of the experience. If you're in Santa Monica you would be smart to find Lunetta and enjoy a next level relaxing LA cafe/brasseire experience. What a lovely venue with so much outdoor seating... The weather yesterday was a bit chilly, so my pal Jack and I dined inside. I had the chopped vegetable salad with grilled chicken atop of it. The best chopped salad I've ever had, seriously!!! I am a big fan of a chopped salad and have never found one that was better. Jack had the salmon sandwich, and he was blown away by the nuanced spices. He loved that this sandwich was so delicious and different than usual. We had a wonderful repast together. The waitstaff is superb and the manager was so lovely and attentive. To be honest, dining here, even at lunch was a bit pricey. However, they do have an interesting "specials of the day" menu for lunch that you could share with someone. ( a complete meal including dessert that intrigued me). I definitely will return to try. Chilaquiles: again eggs were cooked to perfection. I feel that the sauce lacked a little flavor though. But it was still good and I ate it. This was a great brunch spot to meet up with one of my friends when I was in town visiting! It was a super fun vibe and well decorated. I also really liked how this establishment had an outdoors area for additional seating and to enjoy nicer days. Food was also delicious! I had never seen egg yolks this color of orange before but apparently it's because the product is more natural and healthier for you. Prices were a little steep, but nothing out of reason for the area. Our server, Brian, was also very pleasant and attentive to our needs. This place is a hidden gem in an unexpecting parking lot next door to a Rite Aid. The food was EXCEPTIONAL and we didn't even realize there was a whole indoor section with cozy seating and inviting ambiance (we sat outside on the lovely patio). The grilled artichoke and sourdough with truffle butter were the stars of the show, but the hanger steak frites were also incredible and so tender. Easily one of the best breakfasts that I have had in Santa Monica. I have pretty much been everywhere so that's really saying something. There's a lot about this place that I really like. First the food quality is great. Our server was extremely polite and very attentive. They have a free giant parking lot in the back, and plenty of seating inside. We sat at the bar because all the dining tables were taken, but it was still a really nice experience. They don't have a very large menu, but they do have a lot of great choices on it. Lunetta At Night shares the same roof, but is next-door. I plan to be back in the near future to try it because their breakfast was that good. I started off with a Cappuccino, and it was terrific. Strong and flavorful just like I like it. I chose the Eggs Benedict for my entrée and honestly really loved it. I got a side of the chipotle aïoli, and it was a great combination with the mini potatoes. I especially liked how the ham is shaved instead of a thicker Virginia type ham. I thought it was great and I would order it again. Overall a great breakfast option in Santa Monica with extremely easy parking. I took a seat on the lovely patio, which has plenty of shade on a hot day, and ordered the TWO + TWO + TWO (eggs any style, lemon ricotta pancakes, almonds, thick-cut bacon, blueberry butter, pure maple syrup) and it was AMAZING.
