This place is very nice, from the moment you drive in with all the beautiful homes, to the really big and nice golf course. You get to the club at the end of the drive, and come inside the building. You walk in on the top floor, then go down the stairs to all the tables, and the different spreads of food on both sides. They've got tables inside & outside too. The spread had a lot to offer including, an omelette bar, a stir fry station, roasted turkey, prime rib, fish, chicken, veggies, salad bar, cheese & meats, & a separate room with food for the kids, including sliders, pizza, & chicken tenders. I had my wedding here back in September of 2024 and man it was so much fun! I still dream about that day and receive compliments on how fun, beautiful and classy it was. I'm not going to lie, Ruby Hill was our first wedding venue that we toured out of 7 other venues! Nothing else compared and I couldn't settle for anything less. The drive up was already an impressive start. For one, it's a gated community and you drive past all these big beautiful homes. The venue has an amazing Tuscan feel and I fell in love with the reception room. I really loved the pillars and how classy it felt in there. The venue coordinators were so helpful and always had good communication. I did not have to purchase much decor for my wedding except for beautiful flower arrangements because the venue itself was already very pretty. I just did not like how we only had 3 hours prior to the ceremony to set up and decorate for how much we paid. I was not willing to pay extra to add anymore hours before or after our 5 1/2 time limit. Although that's how most wedding venues are unfortunately. Anyways, aside from that, my guests and family enjoyed the delicious food and will never forget such an amazing night! read more

Attended a gala here, and it was a beautiful event space, with stunning architecture, ornate details inside, a lovely staircase leading to the lower level dining room, and so many different connecting rooms, lounge area, bar, and more. A gorgeous setting outside as well, with elegant columns, captivating views, and an abundance of greenery creating an incredible backdrop for photos and making this an ideal spot for special occasions. For the event I attended, the food didn't really stand out and was not the best value, but good enough (the chicken not very tender, and nothing noteworthy about the mashed potatoes or veggies, flavor was just fine). Also, a decent sized parking lot right in front, though each attendee had to check in (name/ID) for their vehicle to enter the gated community and access the road to the clubhouse. The Club at Ruby Hill was a fantastic venue for our wedding. The space feels like a French chateau both inside and out, and it was the perfect setting to celebrate our beautiful Persian wedding. We were very impressed with the entire Ruby Hill staff, especially our private events manager, Samantha. From the beginning, she helped make the planning process smooth and enjoyable. We had a wonderful tasting experience and an initial walkthrough where we were able to visualize the flow of our wedding day, which made us feel confident that everything would come together perfectly. The food was also delicious. Guests loved the steak, fish, and vegetarian options, and the late-night bites were a huge hit. The bartenders were fantastic as well--friendly, quick, and great at keeping the energy up throughout the night. One of the most special moments was seeing the staff and servers dancing along and enjoying the music with us in such a playful way, while still remaining attentive and accommodating to our guests. Their energy truly added to the joyful atmosphere of the night. This venue is absolutely five stars. For me, the biggest draw are the french fries- they are almost always perfectly crisp and well seasoned. **Wedding Venue Review** I had my wedding here in July 2024 and it was amazing. I did a lot of research and toured a handful of places before deciding on the Club at Ruby Hill. - Ceremony Space: as a DIY bride, I wanted to save where I could. The ceremony space at this venue was so beautiful on its own that I barely needed to add any additional decor. The ceremony space is surrounded by columns and wisteria vines, and although in July the wisteria had already wilted, it left behind the most luscious greenery. All I added to my ceremony space was a floral arch and a few vases to line the aisle. I was nervous as the day before the wedding it was 105F and we were sweating just practicing our ceremony script, but on the day of in the afternoon it cooled to (a still very warm but much more manageable) 95F and shade had covered the entire bridal party and more than half of the guests. It was nothing short of perfect. - Reception Space: just like the ceremony space, the reception space was so beautiful on its own. I personally used minimal decor and just 10 uplights (provided by my DJ), and it was the perfect amount of decor. The tall ceilings and grand staircase really made the place feel special! - Food/dining service: I believe the venue is doing away with duet entrees, but when I had booked in June 2023, that was my only option. When I came to the venue in May 2024 to do my tasting, I was informed that they would be transitioning to single entrees, but since I signed on with duet entrees, they let me keep my duet entrees selection (it was less work for me since I didn't have to poll each guest on their choice of protein). Our starter was the most refreshing salad with poppyseed dressing, nuts, strawberries and Parmesan shreddings. It initially came with goat cheese but Samantha allowed us to make subtitutions! My duet entree came with a New York Steak and Salmon with a side of fancy mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. My vegetarian selection was a stuffed eggplant. Dessert was not included in my package, but basic open bar for hard liquor was included for the first 3 hours of my event, and beer and wine available throughout the entire event. Since I only had a single tiered cake and catered 12 dozen cupcakes, I did not have to pay any additional cake cutting fee. - Venue Staff: Working with Samantha was great. I do wish the team was a tad more responsive - 2 days prior to my wedding one of my bridesmaids got covid and took out her family of 4 and I had reached out to the venue about getting those heads refunded vs. finding replacements. I never heard back from the venue so in panic I found 4 replacements, but I then heard on the day of the wedding that they would've refunded the 4 had I needed it. It would've been nice to know that information to prevent my panic and extra efforts. Other than that, the waiting staff were so efficient! The meal service went flawlessly as did the breakdown. Our event ended at 11 PM and we had an hour to break down but I swear we were done by 11:30 PM since everyone was so helpful in emptying water from all of our decor vases, gathering all of my other decor and loading it onto a cart so that it could be loaded into a car. Overall, I had a positive experience and am so happy I decided to choose The Club at Ruby Hill as my wedding venue! read more

We celebrated our friend's wedding at The Club at Ruby Hill and I've got to say that it was such a magical and fun night here despite the rain. Upon arrival, we enjoyed their open bar with some delicious finger food. We were so surprised by how good their food was. I enjoyed their French Onion Beef Slider. It was made with perfection besides if being a tiny bit too greasy, but I'd still give it a 5/5 stars. Their cauliflower bites was also delicious, 4.5/5 stars. They are Peruvian Leche De Tigre was also a hit, a 5/5 stars for me. I didn't try their drinks, but my friends all enjoyed the bar and liked their drinks. To get to the dining area and dance floor, you would need to go down these beautiful stair cases and the whole place was designed so elegantly. I absolutely loved it. Even their restrooms were nice and big! For dinner, I was served their Ruby House Salad that came with I believe two bottles of strawberry vinaigrette for my appetizer, filet mignon for my entree, and crème brûlée for dessert. Both the salad and filet mignon were 5/5. Absolutely delicious and fresh. We all agreed that only the crème brûlée was a let down as it tasted like half tarts and half crème brûlée. I wish we got to explore the outside but it was raining hard the whole day. Overall, we all can't agree more that this was such a beautiful place to celebrate our friend's marriage and we are so grateful to have witnessed their love at such a fun and lovely location. read more

I had a tour of The Club wedding venue with Allison and Jill. They were extremely friendly, informative and responsive. The tour was quick, Covid-friendly and organized in terms of parking/instructions. The venue is high end & gorgeous; with the beautiful outdoor ceremony, string lights, indoor/outdoor cocktail hour setting, to the gorgeous elegant reception ballroom. I absolutely love that there is not only a bridal suite, but a grooms suite as well! That was important for me because I definitely want my groom and the groomsmen to have an area to get ready before the ceremony. All in all, the value wasn't all there for me & I don't have money to blow. I definitely appreciate the help of Allison, but felt that I could get a lot more for my money elsewhere. Came here yesterday for a wedding and was impressed overall. Security wasn't as much a pain as I've dealt with in the past, so getting in was smooth. The venue is a decent size, but the dance floor is a bit on the smaller side, so be prepared to not have much room to move around. The food was really good and have to say I was impressed with the steak. One of the better wedding venues when it comes to food. The grounds are great and very picturesque. golf course review Ruby Hill is a private course in a gated community (of extremely large homes). they were having a "member for a day" tournament, which is a great way to experience a private club. the course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is beautiful, well maintained and has a beautiful layout. not overly long from the regular tees (6500) but the championship tees are 7500. only the grill was open for us, but the staff were super friendly. a great day and would love to play there again (even thinking about joining since it's so close to me) read more

I just had our wedding here and it was honestly an unbelievable experience. We booked our date a year ahead of time (August 2022) and the earliest date available was actually August 2023. Just the drive into the club was an entire experience itself. Everyone that drove through seeing all the beautiful scenery and houses on the way up were just mesmerized. Initially we had toured a few venues but literally the instant we stepped foot in, we were greeted by such friendly staff members. The vibe, the furniture, the lighting, everything was just astronomically beautiful. Without myself and my fiancé saying a word throughout the entire tour, we both knew instantly that this was the place. It may be pricy, but I can tell you it is so worth it. The staff is on point. Tiffani and Samantha were so helpful throughout the past year. They know what they are doing and are amazing at what they do. They've always been so kind and pleasant, even when I felt like I was being a bit annoying with all the constant questions. The Club has a list of exclusive and preferred vendors. We basically chose every section off their list and from our experience, there is a reason why these vendors are on there. They are good at what they do, and the staff knows it. The Club requires you to have at least a day of coordinator. If you think you can get by without one and that the mandatory coordinator puts you off from booking this venue, think otherwise. I'm assuming this is probably your first time getting married, and there are so many subtle details that you just will not know. These people know what they're doing. They know the ins and outs of this venue, as well as the staff. Again, there's a reason these coordinators were put on their list. There's nothing I regret with having our wedding done here. They were so accommodating. I've received no complaints. Everything just worked just as we hoped over the past year. A random act of kindness that I heard from my mom was that one of my uncles initially told us only 1 of his 2 children would be attending, but due to circumstances on the day of the wedding, he had to bring both his kids and one was not going to be accounted for. I was not aware on the day of, but my mom had spoken to Mo and asked if they could have an extra seat for his table and an extra meal. He said yes no problem. That made me so happy to hear and the fact that the staff had the courtesy to just do it on the spot. Just unbelievable all together. To be honest, flowers are expensive. And that was initially one of my main concerns. But the fact that the outside ceremony area is so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing in itself, and the inside reception area is so well designed, we knew instantly that we wouldn't have to break the bank and go all out. If you are worried about the area being a golf club and that they'd be interrupting the ceremony in any way, there were no issues whatsoever. They were so kind and respectful, they even let our bridal party mess around and take photos on their golf carts! They all understand that when there is a ceremony going on they will take a pause. The entire place is full of great spots for photos all times of the day. And because everything is so close by, it makes it so much easier on yourselves by not having to walk such long distances especially when you've been doing photos literally all day long. I will admit, at the start I was concerned about the total price of everything. If anything, I was most stressed about how much we were spending into this wedding. But along the way, I came to terms with this by realizing this is honestly a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to enjoy an entire day to yourselves, making it all about you and enjoy it with all your friends and family. It was worth every single dollar. Of course, more than anything it's about the bride and groom, but if you also care deeply about your guests' experience, let's just say we received literally 0 complaints and both of our families complain a lot. One huge factor I will admit is we got lucky with the weather as the peak was 82F whereas Pleasanton normally runs ~90-100F this time of year. The only thing that went wrong on our end, and no fault to the venue themselves, was that only around 20-30 guests out of 120 had arrived when the ceremony was supposed to begin, and it turned out that many of our guests had just typed in "Ruby Hill" in their GPS which defaulted to the venue right next door. So if anything, make sure to make it clear! The other thing was that there is an option to have the bride come through a more aesthetically pleasing entrance, so our coordinator had to go off with the bride, so there was no one to kick people out of the front row seats reversed for the parents who did not get a great view. I have so much more to say but there's a limit on Yelp, so the last thing I can say is it will be difficult for most venues to come close to what The Club at Ruby Hill can offer! read more

A girlfriend and I attended a wedding here about a week and a half ago. It happened on Saturday, November 3rd at 4pm. The ceremony was outside while the reception was inside. I believe the whole wedding was modest in size, so their outdoor area ended up being the perfect size. And such a pretty backdrop for the bride and groom. For the reception, I think there were a little less than 20 tables? Plenty of room for everyone, a dance floor, and the sweetheart table. Inside, they have a beautiful staircase where everyone made their entrances. I love height and depth, so aesthetically I adored that aspect of the wedding. Wedding Dinner: *First course: Caprese salad - tomato mozzarella with fresh basil *Entree: Petite certified angus beef filet mignon with cabernet demi-glace, grilled atlantic salmon with champagne fennel sauce, crisp yukon gold potato galette and sweet corn and leek ragout *Vegetarian option: Citrus marinated grilled paneer cheese & portabello mushroom, asparagus, beluga lentils and spicy tomato fondue *Children: Chicken fingers and fries The app was pretty good. Drizzled with balsamic. And I adore mozzarella. Though the tomatoes were a little over ripe as some of the slices were a little mushy. For the main, I really liked the ragout. Reminded me of creamed corn which I adore. The fish was prepared well. Not too overcooked and dry, but the steak was the opposite. Mine ended up being well while my gf's was a nice medium to medium rare. But I guess that's to be expected at a banquet style dinner. They have a cute outdoor area with firepits which was my favorite space. The bar was located there as well. Nice place to chill and get our drank on. Right off that patio area was a small room where they had the photo booth. There wasn't much in this room, so it never got crowded when there was a wait. Plenty of space for people to chill while waiting to take some silly pix. Such a pretty setting for a wedding. Though being in Pleasanton, I can imagine it getting super hot in the summer. Went here for a wedding--the venue is really nice as you drive in, as you see the palatial estates the country club is on. Everything went off fine; the bartenders were friendly and kept things moving, the outdoor grounds are nice (heat lamps on cold nights are a plus), and the venue where the reception was is also very well done. I also liked my beef/fish combo dinner. The only negatives were two issues: the first was a kid's meal situation. My son was sick and couldn't make the wedding, so we left him at home. Since I assume all meals are paid for in advance (I've never heard of a wedding venue giving money back to you for non-attendees), I told the servers to just leave the kid's meal at our table and we'd eat it so it didn't go to waste. For some reason, this seemed to confuse the staff, as several of them came back to ask if our baby was here or not. When we told them he wasn't, they removed his high chair, serving plate, etc, and took the kid's meal (which they already delivered) back. I asked several people to just leave the food, but was continually told no, with one staff member telling me she'd have to ask her manager. Really didn't make any sense to me. Not like it was one of the main courses either--it was chicken fingers and french fries. Finally, I found the wedding coordinator (who coincidentally I knew), who was able to talk to someone and they dropped off said chicken. It shouldn't be a big deal, but I feel the venue made it that way. I didn't want to cause a scene (which I don't think I did--I explained everything nicely), but it was mostly the principle of the matter. Felt I needed to write this review to inform the venue that if a child doesn't show up, just leave the food--it'll go to a good home. The second was the staff kept busing unfinished items. I had a full water and got up to go the dance floor--when I came back a few minutes later, it was gone. I also had a full drink--I put it down for a few minutes, came back, and it was also gone. I get they want to keep things clean and efficient, but it's not like our whole table had left for the evening--some were still sitting there. So that was mildly frustrating too. This review is solely for The Club as our venue from our wedding on 9/15/2019. We knew when we walked into The Club more than a year from our wedding date that this was the venue of our dreams! From the high ceilings, the grand staircase, and the golf course backdrop, this location is nothing short of a dream. Janan was a pleasure to work with ever since our first meeting as she was responsive and super helpful with our wedding planning. She was quick to answer questions to my numerous emails and really was just so patient with me. She works with so many couples and really made us feel special whenever we met or spoke. We worked together for over a year having in person meetings and through emails regarding anything and everything wedding related. Fast forward to a year of planning, we couldn't have been more excited for our wedding day! At our rehearsal walk through, my husband and I dropped off a bunch of decor for Janan and her team to set up the next day. I left instructions on each box on how things should be placed for our ceremony and reception. Janan was super attentive and was patient while I explained where each piece of decor was supposed to be set up. Rehearsal went smooth despite our huge wedding party. This isn't Janan's first rodeo so she was able to gather and round up everyone and do our walk through. This lasted about an hour. On the day of our wedding, we entered the venue and we were just in awe. All the decor we left for Janan and her team was placed perfectly and lit up the room. We can't thank them enough. My husband and I were in "go-go-go" mode that day so we were so thankful that we did not have to worry about setting up the reception/ceremony. Janan greeted us on wedding day and was the captain of our ship. She worked with our wedding party and venders and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. The staff and bartenders were very kind to me and my husband and we thank them for taking care of our wedding of 150 guests. Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff because our guests could not stop raving about the food! Our short rib and chicken duet plates were a hit! Walked to the bar and the bartenders, they gave us attitude of we needed to be a members, even the member invited us in. They acted as they were high horse and crap! As if we are so poor that we don't belong at their "members only club"! Save your attitude, because we got our own! And we were also here for a charity event for a greater cause! They charge $18 per corkage fee for event, plus tax, and plus 20% service charge! It's still much better than their crazily mark up list and limited choices/appellations. read more

We joined Ruby when we decided to get married at the venue! At first the golf membership was great until we started noticing things go downhill FAST The management is practically non existing. Every month we have to check our accounts for charges that have been placed on our bill that we didn't accrue. They mix up our bills with other members They add "voluntary" charges without you approving and keep them on your bill if you don't notice We constantly have tried to contact managers and rarely is a response back The food at the restaurant is not up to par. The greens are being fixed but have gone down hill POOR POOR MANAGEMENT. Can't wait to leave read more

I attended my friend's wedding on 11/10/18, and I am still very upset about what happened to me and the mother of the bride about the wedding cake. The bride had purchased a cake from an outside vender and it was mentioned to the guests that we should take some cake home after the wedding, especially considering that majority of the time there's left over cake and it ends up in the trash. Also, my friend had to pay a cake cutting fee for using an outside source and not the club's source. Getting to my part. I noticed that several of the guests had cake in a box, so I asked this older male waiter for a box so that I can take some cake home. He walks to the back kitchen and comes back with like 3 boxes and tells me that's all they had left, just 3 boxes. I will stop right here to say that I watched this man walk to the back and grab the boxes, there was more than 3 boxes left, so that already irked me. As I walked back to the area where there was like 3 trays of plates filled with cake slices that essentially would be thrown away if guests didn't come up to get cake, the same man walked by and told me I was NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANY MORE CAKE HOME. When I asked him why, he said that because I was not a member and that only members were allowed to take cake home. It didn't make any sense to me. And when I basically pointed out that he would rather be wasteful, throw cake that the bride and groom paid for in the trash than the let guests take home cake that was already cut up, he said yes because the bride and groom are members and that we were not. I just didn't understand this man's logic, and when I kept pointing out that the cake is already cut up and it's not like I'm asking him to go cut up a brand new piece or anything, he was still adamin about not letting me clean off 3 more plates of cake slices. Again, its like taking leftover food home, I apparently was not allowed. Ok whatever, so I walk over to talk to the mother of the bride with the 3 boxes of cut up cake bits to tell her what's going on and that the waiters are making a fuss about guests taking cake home. She told me that her family left with cake no problem and she didn't understand why I was being told something different.... Ok so now at this point I feel like I'm being singled out. Just as I was talking to the mother of the bride another waiter (Napoleon) walked by and the MOB asks this waiter where the cake topper was. He then proceeded to bring out this giant tray of cut up cake slices. To which the MOB yelped and said that it was discussed/make known/established earlier that it was not to be cut up and they were going to take it home. Napoleon, then proceeded to tell her "I don't know, they told us to cut it, I'm just following orders". MOB: "who's they, who told you to cut it" Napoleon: "they did" MOB: "who's they, I need you to tell me who specifically said it" Napoleon: "I told them" MOB: "What?! Can I talk to your supervisor please, because this was not supposed to happen" Napoleon: "I am the supervisor", then walks away.... Wow, just wow... As a guest, for me to not only be personally lied to and then singled out to be harassed over slices of cake that would end up in the trash, then to see how rudely the MOB was being talked to, then have that person walk away without any real answers. That's pretty F*** up in my books. Honestly it probably wouldn't bother me as much if it was at an Asian restaurant, but this is a fancy upscale venue that you're paying $$$ for and the service is this poor over cake, I wouldn't even want to consider this venue for my wedding. I will mention though, the food here wasn't cooked consistently, I received well done steak, while my bf got rare. Both our fish was over cooked and was hard to swallow. The only thing in my opinion that actually went right that pertained to guest service was the bar. There was actual real bartenders that was friendly, knew what they were doing, and make correct drinks. That's the only thing that I do commend this place for aside from the nice scenery. But, honestly I would not recommend this place to anyone I know that values how their guests or family member might be treated; very disappointed! read more

I used to come to the Ruby Hills country club for lunch/ dinner buffet. Also celebrated New Years Eve couple years back. Excellent place to host a private party/ Wedding Venue. I used to help clients buy and sell houses in this neighborhood. My friends invited me for some catch up time. The service and people are always welcoming here. It over looks the golf course - Breezy and calm view. Our server Ed was very accommodating and helpful. I was a little disappointed that they didn't carry port wine flight. I suggest they do and they told us they are still building the wine menu. We got the fried prawn and calamari - beer battered! -more crispier. The cocktail sauce and mayo sauce was delicious. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus was perfectly seasoned. The halibut on cream corn was fantastic! read more

This review is for the wedding venue space at The Club at Ruby Hill. I had the pleasure of photographing my recent couple's wedding here and wow- this venue is gorgeous! First off, I love how they have separate spaces for both of the couple to get ready with their loved ones. We snuck them out into the lobby for some of these "Getting Ready" photos and the light was perfect up there. The ceremony space with the lush greenery and grand stone pillars had a very regal feeling- so easy to dress up with additional flowers for a secret garden look. The reception space is one of my favorites in the entire bay area. Spacious, modern, gorgeous. It has the perfect flow and the grand staircase makes for an epic grand entrance for the couple. I loved photographing this venue for my couple's wedding day and hope to visit again soon! read more

I was in awe the moment my husband and I stepped foot on the property for our initial tour. The venue provided the perfect setting for our black-tie wedding elegance and sophistication! Our desire was to have an elegant outdoor ceremony and the circular patio area, which highlights a beautiful columned trellis adorned with hanging wisteria and golf course views offered just what we wanted! The ballroom is absolutely breath taking, the grand staircase and high ceilings are stunning. Everything about the venue was beautiful and perfect. The food was good and the bar tenders and banquet staff were great! Day of coordinator: Janan was our day of coordinator and I don't know how we could have pulled off such a successful wedding without, she is fantastic! She was a great partner throughout the entire planning process. We especially appreciated Janan's partnership and professionalism because we were planning our wedding from Texas. She was always available via email, phone and for in person meetings when we came to town to visit.  She worked diligently and gracefully to ensure our wedding day was perfect! I, the bride, was running slightly behind schedule  on our wedding day due to traffic and Janan was quick on her heels to make adjustments to not only get us back on schedule but to also  get us slightly ahead of schedule which left us with more mingle and party time! Janan was a joy to work with and our interactions is one of the things I will miss most about the wedding planning process. Miscellaneous My only complaint is that we paid a lot for our cake and a lot of people said they were not served cake nor I did get any to take home. So, as a lesson learned, if the cake is important to you, find out the process for cake being passed out to everyone and make sure you communicate that you want cake left over because you will be too busy and preoccupied during the wedding day to even think about it. Overall, I love the club at Ruby Hill, if I had to do it all over again I would still choose that venue and Janan as my day of coordinator! read more

With changes in operators, cooks and workers, quality of à la carte food orders has been in flux. Relative to the 12 Jan 20 Yelp post, given that we are cognizant of what CDC** publicizes about char and residue, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), from grilling as a human carcinogen, cause of respiratory disorders, cardiovascular disease and precursor to such maladies cooks conjure up, the customer should choose nutritional options suitable for personal lifestyle. Make sure you impress upon wait crew your preference, any objectionable food or "allergy," and be steadfast with your expectation for quality when paying (or having paid for member privileges) top dollar for sustenance at a premiere SF Bay Area golf club. Don't let bad apples at a Michelin restaurant or five star establishment turn your fine dining experience into a "GEICO: Chez Dumpster" raccoon food truck experience. Catchy, subtle and insidious as this trend is for charring when chiefs cook or grill and serve it up to subjects, don't fall prey to fads or passing fancies. However, for children, those wary but easily impressionable or unwitting, they are left to the mercy, ambivalence, apathy or peril of cooks who carelessly or knowingly adopt the style thereby weaponing food and beverage establishments as cattle cars in the 1940s to, what history documents as, their eventual demise. Nor allow zealots or orthodox cult reenact past or mock passions. If you are a good parent, guardian or patriot with proper prior military training, it is the time to step up and take appropriate action. Do demand quality and satisfaction. If you want long life and wellness, consider the adage "Don't drink the Kool-Aid," when you make food choices and grill options. Don't fall prey to the insidiousness of burnt food made up to look appetizing unwittingly. A boar with lipstick is still a boar. A burnt burger with delicious melty cheese atop is still burnt. If you brave the grill, opt not to char. However, if you are a badass or one raring to "go out in a blaze of glory," living like you just don't care, consider this an upscale venue, the wild west of culinary delights. You can have the dignity and liberty to experience a bit of gambling (with wellness), Jones Town, and Doctor Kevorkian all at once in an upscale restaurant. Come to experience this, avoid or bespoke given your personal taste. If operator and any relevant official recognizes such acts to serve burnt burger or char beef with spaghetti as sociable, then pictures of what shop plates as "acceptable food," or wrongdoing and 1st Amendment protections, are just and fair for the public, members and guests to enjoy, anticipate as patrons, know they will be subject to and given to eat or dodge. We were supposed to get married at the beautiful Club at Ruby Hill in April 2020, but you already know what happened.....it never happened. We postponed several times and ultimately decided to cancel our wedding. Let me just start with saying that the Club at Ruby Hill is one of our top wedding venue choices. The theme for our wedding is best described as a glamorous, black tie event, and this venue hit the mark for us. Do you know what made it even better? Working with Jennifer Franklin, the Events Sales Director. We met her in March 2019 and booked with her in April 2019. She's so wonderful to work with and has been so nice and accommodating in this whole wedding planning and cancelling process, and especially during these unprecedented times. We are so happy to have worked with her as she has set the bar high. Beautiful venue for a wedding. I photographed a wedding here September 2022. It was a rainy day and we were still able to take portraits outside, and though it cleared up to have the ceremony outside, the option of having the ceremony inside would have been beautiful as well. Love the light feeling of the venue, and the romantic patio for the ceremony. Would be perfect to have reception outdoors as well. read more

Came here to attend a wedding and what a beautiful venue! Upstairs was the ceremony and downstairs was the full reception area. Awesome utilization of space, as there are plenty of areas to host the groups of people! From cocktail hour to dinner time to reception/dance time, there was lots of space to do it all! Not to mention the grounds are just beautiful. The staff was very helpful and from a guest perspective, it was all wonderfully executed. We held our wedding reception here last month. I absolutely fell in love with this place the moment i walked in the door. This was the first venue we checked out after i did all the research, and after checking out a few other spots, nothing compared to this place. It has absolutely breathtaking views driving up to this place, and not to mention multi-million dollar mansions. It felt like we were driving through an episode of MTV cribs. But not only is this place absolutely BEAUTIFUL, the food and service here is also fabulous. Top notch chefs, and great portions as well. I was pleasantly surprised. This place was not cheap, by any means. But I figured I will have only one wedding, so why not splurge and have it be everything i wanted it to be. The only reason i'm not giving this place 5 stars is simply because poor Berni (the event coordinator) was sick with walking pneumonia and could not direct our wedding the day of =( Throughout the wedding process, she was fabulous and always returned my emails in a timely manner. She was super organized and very professional. She has an OCD type personality like me, and likes everything perfect, and that's why we got a long so well. Well...2 days before our wedding, we find out she is sick with pneumonia, and her assistant took over instead. Of course, you couldn't imagine what was racing through my head...the biggest event of my life thus far, all the planning involved thus far..........let's just say i was not a happy camper. But i went with the flow, i mean there was nothing else that can be done at that point. (although if Berni mentioned it to me a week prior that she was under the weather..i would've prescribed her a Z-pak and called it a day!!). Our reception was absolutely beautiful. Minimal decor was needed here. I wouldn't say everything went flawlessly, and there was some screw ups that i know if Berni was there, would have never happened. After calling to book dinner reservations for our 10 year anniversary which was declined since we had to be a member of the golf club. I'm very dissapointed that the club won't accept any former wedding clients that threw in so much money to have their wedding event here. read more

3.75 stars I had my wedding here in March so it's time to write a comprehensive review. THE UGLY 1) they have a preferred cake vendor. I knew this in advance and thought no big deal...boy was I WRONG! we had so much drama around the cake. we loved our Katrina Rozelle tasting but the cake we liked...not overly complicated btw, would have cost us $1600+ after tax ad service charge (since the cake is paid for through the venue). For 120 guests, that was just too much. We had a bad experience at Primrose bc the owners were arguing in front of us and our cake had hair in it! So one expensive bakery and one that we wouldn't even consider, left us between a rock and a hard place! The cake cutting fee for outside vendors is 2.50 per person plus tax and service so $3.26/person!!! ours got lowered bc of our experience but I still hated the cake cutting fee charge given our situation. 2) communication at times was poor. We started with the old director Bernie and weren't informed that Melisa took over. some things that were promised by a certain time, weren't delivered. The Good 1) Day of execution was great. My instructions on how to set things up was done to my satisfaction, hence I tipped Melisa. 2) the food was good. I got many compliments, hence I tipped the chef. 3) they are willing to negotiate or accommodate specific requests which was nice. 4) venue is gorgeous! read more

We attended a wedding on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The club is located in a gorgeous gated community consisting of private homes, vineyards, and golf courses. The wedding ceremony was on their back patio which features two nice colonnades that are covered in vines. The sunset in the background was gorgeous. The ballroom features a breathtaking staircase which made a great entry point for the bride and the groom. Seems like a great location to host large celebrations read more

New Private Equity owners have driven this place down to a municipal golf course with the food quality of a hot dog stand. Terrible what happens to the members but almost criminal to what has happened to former employees and disappointed brides and grooms. Go elsewhere, you can do much better read more

My daughter had her wedding ceremony over a week ago on a Friday. Due to COVID-19 restrictions only 25 people were able to attend the outdoor ceremony only. During the ceremony there were a group of club members nearby obviously drunk (happy hour?), talking and laughing loudly. It was so disrespectful. I cant review this place from the bride/groom's perspective.. but i can review this place from the spectator's point of view. Was here for a reception. I really like the place, very elegant and classy. The houses, as you drive to the golf club, are like mansions. The view and the scenery is nice. The way they set up the banquet was good. Except i felt bad for the people who were sitting in a secluded room where they can't see the dance floor or whatever that's happening in the front / main room. For me, personally, not only is the venue has to be in a nice location, but the food has to be good too. I always feel soo bad when the food is bad because you know the bride and groom paid $$$$ for each person. so to find a place that serves good food, it's hard.The food here was surprisingly good. The salad was okay, nothing spectacular. The main course....I've never had such a good sea bass at a wedding reception. The mashed potato was buttery and smooth. The asparagus was fresh. The filet mignon was thin, but still good. The portion of the dual entrees = small. But that's what you expect from a wedding banquet, american style. i think Ruby Hill Golf Club is best for smaller weddings. So you can fit everyone in the main room..no need to seat people off to another room. on my part, i had a good time at the wedding. the service was good too. so it was 3 stars originally.. but i dont think 3 stars matched w/ what i wrote.. so i guess 4 stars is better. but i guess i'm just in between 3-4stars... cuz i'm not to the point where i'm a fan but the venue is really better than 3 stars.. oh heck.. i'll just round up. read more

This is the most important thing for you to know about this venue if you're considering it for your wedding: this organization does NOT care about you or your guests. During this time of COVID-19, they refuse to let their clients postpone or cancel their wedding and insist on things getting back to normal. This says it all about how you'll be treated should something go sour with your wedding. I'll be reporting this experience to local government to see how they feel about this venue forcefully resuming large gatherings. read more

Played golf here the other day for a tournament. I also have played here with a friend, who is a member. The service by the staff is very good--everyone is polite and very helpful. The course was in great shape. The greens are lightening fast. Be aware that the wind can be challenging in the late afternoon. Good food and great beverage service, too! read more
