My wife had been asking me for a Fri fit visor as we couldn't find her other one. I must say I was given exceptional customer service from Hali. When I asked her where something was, she pointed me in that direction, but when I showed her the item on the web, she looked it up and noticed it was in the back, then went and grabbed it for me. There was no customer service at all. I used the kiosk to request a shoe try-on, but after waiting more than 15 minutes, nothing happened and there was no update at all. I eventually had to ask an employee directly to scan it again and bring the shoes out. Honestly, if the kiosk system does not work properly, I do not understand why it is there in the first place. It only made the experience more frustrating and time-consuming for customers. Please either improve the system or remove it altogether. read more

One of the worst return policies around. I've shopped at Dick's for years and regularly spend a few hundred dollars a month there -- shoes, gear, basketball equipment, you name it. But after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I bought a set of dumbbells for my mother-in-law ($70+), still unopened, with the original receipt. She decided not to use them -- totally fine -- but when I tried to return them just outside the 90-day window, they said the only option was to process it as a no-receipt return. That meant I'd get just $19.99, the lowest price in the past 90 days including any coupons or promos. Even though I had the receipt. Even though it was unopened. Even though I spend tons of money at this store. Most places would at least offer store credit or some form of acknowledgment when you clearly have the proof of purchase. Costco, Target, even Amazon are far more customer-friendly. I'll be shopping at those places going forward. I'm not going to keep supporting a store that treats loyal customers this way. read more

Buying shoes online is hit or miss for me due to the sizing, so I came in hoping to find my shoe size. There was just one associate working in the shoes area and she was very busy so I waited quite a while to be helped and was told she would bring me my size. But after a while of waiting, I saw her again helping someone else and asked about the shoe I was waiting for and she's like, "oh yeah, we don't have that size". lol. like guuurl you couldn't tell me this sooner? lol. Unfortunately they didn't have the color I wanted, and they didn't have the size I wanted, so I tried a size up in a different color just so I could determine my size, and was a bit too big so I knew I'd order the next size down. She felt my toe's location and she suggested I go down a whole size but order both sizes and just return the other. She helped me order it in the store and shipped to my house 2 days later :) I knew though the next size down would be perfect and it fit great. I think they're a bit short staffed, so just expect to wait a bit to be helped. read more

I like DICK'S Sporting Goods, there's always a decent selection of stuff. If you go in Spring/early Summer there seems to be a better selection of goods and most sizes in stock. Fall and holiday seasons are hit or miss, the place gets depleted. Pros: great selection, many brands, friendly staff. Okay, I debated between a 3 and 4 star review. Because it was such a slow time with few people in the store last time, and we saw several employees literally turn and almost run away (it seemed) as we tried to approach, I went with the 3 stars. Overall, Dicks has a bigger selection than other Sporting Goods Box stores in this local area. There are better stocked/better priced ones if you drive over 30 min. While it does have more than the "other" nearby store, it still didn't have the bat we wanted and said a shipment was coming later that night. This is the second time we heard that, so not sure if it's "real". Seems to be the norm. Although, after we saw it available online, at the store, it no longer was... it is in fact a popular bat, so will agree it's just not available right now. I will give kuddos to every employee that has helped us once we receive help. They always have a great attitude and ask useful questions to help with our purchase (hence the teetering between ratings) once we have their attention. So, Dicks has done well to hire and train people in interacting with customers. Well done! The store always looks immaculate and presume most of the employees (when not "running away" LOL) are working hard to keep it that way. It's definitely more expensive than other stores and online, but they do price match. They don't match every store and it must be in writing, so if you're willing to do your homework and have documentation, they will do a price adjust. We will continue to come back. I would be happier taking my baseball players shopping if it was a less frustrating experience finding someone to help us. read more

Came in at 10am on a Sunday. 3 workers in the front 3-4 roaming around the store. Unsure if 1 was on break with a drink/bag in her hand. I knew actually what I wanted to buy but no want could assist me with shoes. I saw the tablet where u can can put what you wanted to try on and someone will bring it to you in 2mins. We stood there for 15-30mins with no help. We ended up leaving and saw a worker heading towards our direction. I asked them if they were available and heading towards the shoe department and she said no. Customer service is definitely not what it used to be. read more

My family went back to get another baseball glove and to steam the new baseball gloves. The nearby manager helped point me to the right person. We were able to compare the best options quickly and logically. Both gloves were steamed and then beaten with a mallet. They made sure the glove came out how we wanted. My daughter then found an outfit. Every single staff member is helpful and nice in that store. Yelp may need more reviewers to accurately reflect the current state of the store. read more

We showed suggestions from friends and since they didn't have it in store, Devon ordered it online and gave us a price match! Excellent service from Devon! This place has zero customer service. Do not buy from here. I was there to buy a baseball glove for my grandson. First of all I couldn't find anyone who knew anything about gloves. A customer was listening and she was nice enough to help us. She was a retired coach for the local community college. She was super knowledgeable!! After he selected the one he wanted a sales associate told me if I purchased it today they would soften it up for me. When I checked out the clerk said it was going to cost 15.00. I said the sales associate did not mention that. I told him I should have been told there was a charge. So he said I'll cut the charge in half for the error. I looked on my bill and instead of charging me 15.00 they reducing it by half, he charged me 20.00 then reduced it by half!! So dishonest. I asked to speak to a manager. This manager never apologized and told me he wasn't going to help me. He looked as if it was his first day on the Job. He didn't speak very good English so possibly a language barrier was his problem. Unacceptable customer service. If I could give it a minus review it would be a minus 10. This store is an absolute horrible place to shop. I'll never go back and I'm hoping people will read this and stay away from this place. Go to a place that values their customers and is willing to provide excellent customer service. read more

It's a nice looking store with relatively friendly employees. But they have an absolutely lame selection of hiking boots. In an area with More outdoors and hiking opportunities than just about anywhere, they had around 7 pairs of boots, and four of them were work boots not hiking boots. read more

I have bought several things here and so has my husband as he loves to golf. My daughter likes the clothing and shoe section and they are pretty good. If you are looking for the premium stuff like Air Max for kids you may have to order online. But I see that with all of these stores. The staff is helpful, they'll greet you and ask if you need anything. The parking lot is huge and there is plenty of parking. It is also in a very convenient location, Target next door and a grocery store as well. I purchased 3 tennis skirts on sale online. I need to exchange the size so I called DICK'S via phone. They told me to go into a retail store and they can do the exchange for me there by ordering the replacements and taking my order back. So I headed to this Dick's store closest to me. When I got there, I went to the cash register and told him what I needed to do. He sent me to the back of the store for apparels. I went back there and there was no clerk to help me. I walked around and found an associate working on a bike. I told him what I needed and he shook his head and sent me back to the front. I went back to the front only for him to send me back again to the back. He said to look for a gal named Rachel as he supposedly radio's Rachel to meet me in the back. I went to the back and there was no Rachel. The ladies in the back then radio'd her and she then magically appeared. I told her what had happened and she said the guy at the front could have taken care of this for me. This is what you call human ping pong. I guess it's a sports store, literally. Joking aside, No one wants to handle the customer. At least Rachel tried to help me so they get a star for that. Beautiful store but sucky service. read more

I just went to the Dublin store looking for a specific Owala water bottle. One of the sales associates, Sydney, was the sweetest girl and legitimately was trying her best to help me look for it. We couldn't find it, but the fact that Sydney helped me look in four different parts of the store, and then asked around with her coworkers, AND then even proceeded to look in their warehouse was more than I could have expected. Service was definitely great and even though I didn't leave with what I was looking for, Sydney found it at another store and called over to put it on hold for me and I left the store happy. :) read more

I bought a pair of Nike Track and Field spikes for my kid. He used them for less than two weeks and the seam on one of the shoes burst. Took the shoes back for an exchange or refund and was told they wouldn't take them back. I had to go through Nike directly. Turns out I have to ship them back on my own dime and wait for them to evaluate and then decide what to do. Could take weeks. What is my kid supposed to do in the meantime? More importantly, what is the point of going to Dick's if they are not going to be of service? I intentionally went to a physical store for customer service and this is how one is treated. Another example of why everyone is buying online and skipping the actual retail stores. They just aren't helpful, more expensive, and more trouble. About a month ago I sent the above review to Dick's on their website. I received an email from "Katie C., Experience Ambassador" from Dick's saying they were sorry and that they would like to make it up by sending me a gift card to cover the cost of shipping plus some additional for my trouble. I responded with the info about the shipping cost. Guess what? They ghosted me. I have not heard back since. I have sent multiple emails and have not received a response. Nike refunded me the cost of the shoes only so I lost out on both shipping and tax. I will never go back to Dick's Sporting Goods! read more

I purchased what I was sold as a new pair of Under Armour Steph Curry's on 5/8. I literally took them to my car and left the box in my car until 5/18, when I tried to return them. I was looking for a pair of court shoes to wear in a basketball game between our staff and students, and I was in a time crunch. I was worried they might be a bit tight, but the salesman convinced me they should be tight (which I should have never listened to). As I tried over the next two days to find another pair, I realized that for one game, I should just wear my Hokas that had much more cushion. I literally never touched the box from the moment I bought them and put them in my car until I took them out to return them. When I got to the counter to return them, they refused saying that they had been worn. I told them the soles were somewhat dirty when I bought them, but I just assumed they had taken them as a return from someone else. Several pairs I had tried on that evening had similar dirt on them. So, I also just assumed maybe coming from their floors. The first attendant said if I had bought them that way, they would have given me a discount, which they also did not. The sales attendant, then asked me to go to the shoe department and she would send a manager. The attendant in the shoe department also said they had been worn and would not take them back. Then Dino came up (we assumed he was acting as a manager) and pretty much was dismissing me all together and threatened several times to remove me from the store. I also asked that they bring out all basketball shoes in a size 10.5 because that is what I had tried on the evening of 5/8, but the sales associate said he did not have time to do that--he did bring out one of the other Under Armour Steph Curry shoes I had tried on and it was also soiled on the bottom, though not as bad. The display of my exact shoe, looked almost identical to mine. They also questioned had I bought a display--I had no idea if my shoe had been a display! I also asked since they sold me that very shoe, and it had not left my car, why they would not give me the discount they said they should have given! What angers me the most is the dismissive attitude of Dino and the fact that these shoes never left my car because I decided I did not need a $120 pair of shoes for one game that were probably too small anyway (all reviews now I see also show the shoe runs small!). If I had been trying to pull one over on them, I could have washed the shoe off! I literally think it comes from their floors! Their men's bathroom had dried blood all over the floor, according to my husband. I will NOT shop nor recommend that anyone I know shop in Dick's again! read more

They refuse to refund me over the phone and require me to drive all the way back to the store to help me. After considering all factors a 4 star rating is in order. Fact is that Dick is one of the only places I can get Largemouth Bass fishing tackle. They have enough to get y up in through. A little slow up front but the friendly staff do all they can! read more

I was glad to discover that something great has happened to Dick's sporting goods in Dublin. The customer service has really turned around since last time I was there. A friendly greeter welcomed me at the door and asked to help. I said what I wanted, and he directed me to exactly where I needed to go. He radioed to someone in that department to meet me. That person found me immediately, and helped me find my item in seconds. Last time I went there, the merchandise was messy and haphazard. This time it was organized, and it looked more appealing. A few reviewers would like to give zero stars. I am looking at NEGATIVE stars. This place SUCKS beyond belief. It is an affront to capitalism. It is a sad commentary this place can even exist as I guess there is just no competition in the area. I do not take pleasure in writing scathing reviews but this place is worth it. I needed some cleats for my child. The one employee in the shoe section had no interest in helping us. This store is the definition of self service. I am glad I am not a MFG and using this retail outlet to try and sell something of value. I asked two questions, got short and somewhat incomplete answers, and then never saw the person again for the 15 minutes it took us to try on some shoes and find the correct sizes. There is no organization to the stocking at all. A size 12 is next to a size 3Y. It is such a waste of time. Besides no customer service, the place is a pig pen. Think I am kidding? See the photos I took of the dump and the fact that there are no customers in the store. It is actually a cool job here for a kid. Just hide in the back and nap while the customer (single customer) works through all the shit on the floor and the completely disorganized stocking system. read more

Dick's has a state of the art batting cage to test drive your bat and Christian provided invaluable batting advice to my daughter. Christian is has decades of baseball experience and passion.
