The Club House is a fairly well known establishment on the south end of Gardnerville. They are located on the golf course and serving up lots of tasty bites. We visited the clubhouse on a Saturday night and enjoyed sitting on the patio. Our party of 4 + 2 kids was seated right away, though we arrived for a dinner quite early. Our drink orders went and in soon after, so did our food. Everything was going well and some live music even started up on the patio. We did have to wait quite awhile for our food. When it arrived, everything looked good and tasted good. One issue was that my step dad had ordered and was charged for extra bacon on his BLT, but I would describe the amount of bacon on his sandwich as extremely underwhelming. One other issue occurred with the ribeye steak being slightly overcooked, but not so much so to be a major issue. When the bill came gratuity was already added, which seems a bit strange since we were only a party of 4 adults. Do kids count as grown people who should pay gratuity? I will recognize the restaurants comping of my mom's meal for her birthday, which was very nice and appreciated. Overall I would certainly come back to the Club House. The food was good and the service was good and with a few small tweaks I think it could have been an excellent experience.

Great spot for dinner at the clubhouse! This was my first time here, and I'll definitely be back. The ambiance was super relaxing, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. We happened to sit on the patio, which was a great choice--especially since it coincided with movie night on the golf course! Locals showed up with lawn chairs and kids, creating such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. It turned out to be a perfect evening. Can't wait to go back!

The interior is dimly lit, calm, and still very inviting--something you really have to experience in person. The drinks and mocktails are so well crafted that it's almost shocking--you take a sip, then look back at the menu like, "Wait... that's all it cost?" and then back at the bartender like, "Hold on... you made this perfectly for me?" We sat at the bar top and, like everyone else, got caught up in our phones trying to post everything in real time. But Amanda, who was making our drinks, could spark a conversation out of thin air. She was a total pro at keeping us engaged and enjoying our time, all while making drinks and taking care of everyone else around us.

The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.

This young man was the best. We were brought chips and salsa, and we also requested the extra spicy for the Hubby. The mild was perfect for me. The chips were nice and crunchy with a great corn flavor. We did order a sangria for me and a margarita for the hubby. They have a really nice lunch menu with great prices and a very extensive regular menu. I ordered the #6 off the lunch menu. A chili relleno with the sauce on the side and a crispy ground beef taco. The rice was so good, great flavor as well as the refried beans. 5 stars for each of these. The taco was so full of meat (ground beef) and fresh veggies. The chilli relleno was huge and perfectly cooked. I get my sauce on the side so leftovers will not get soggy. Now this sauce was like a ranchero sauce, looked like onions, celery and maybe tomatoes in it. It was really tasty. Hubby got a #13 off the regular menu. 1 enchilada, he got ground beef, 1 crunchy taco with ground beef and a tamale which was shredded beef. I tried the tamale and it was very delicious. We did ask to speak to the Manager who looked a bit nervous coming over. We explained to him it was our very 1st visit and won't be our last. We told him everyone wants to call you over to complain, we were like we wanted to give you major compliments on everything from the awesome waiter Ivan to the food and atmosphere. Music was at a perfect tone etc. We were seated by the bar area in a booth. Very nice in that area. We will definitely be going back

I hadn't set foot in this building since McDonald's was here, and found that the subsequent renovation to be impressive. I'll need to come back for a sit down with music, but for this visit it was a To-Go order at the counter. The order came out relatively quick and hot, so much so that I had to be careful taking it back to the car. It was a huge amount of food and so much so that it was good for 2 very satisfying dinners. Even a little microwaving on Night 2 didn't really dent the experience. My only quibble is that I prefer black beans to refried, but either forgot to ask or wasn't sure.

And we brought some Bay Area friends with us. We also came in mid-week to avoid any crowd potential. Our evening began at the bar with a round of Picon Punch, the official drink of the State of Nevada. I first thought that this was a drink that you only ordered once, but this small glass of goodness actually grew on us. After closing the bar bill and looking at all the branded merchandise, it was off to the main dining room. We chose the Basque Family Style side of the menu, which at the end of the evening resulted in number of take home containers. Our 4 choices were Basque Chicken, Fish, Lamb Shoulder, and Lamb Chops. Those came with Vegetable Soup, Salad, Beef Stew, Beans, French Fries, Bottle of Red Wine, Coffee, and Ice Cream. for the Table. These inclusive choices were priced just south of $40 and that's what the bill was at the end of the evening, as there were no extras needed. OK, the included wine was a little on the sweet side, but we didn't see the need to "upgrade" as we were too busy concentrating on the food. It was all good, especially the Soup and the French Fries. The only regret was not being here on the night they served Huckleberry Ice Cream, but our Vanilla or Pistachio Almond was good enough. JT Basque is family generation owned, and we certainly felt welcome and well taken care of. The rustic decor was also cool, as was the happy energy in the dining room. We were also surprised that there was NO WAIT for us to easy dinner on a Friday night! And the food? So freaking good! The shrimp scampi is divine, and the steak was 100% perfectly cooked both times we went. Excellent Basque dining experience with attentive staff in a unique spot. Do not pass this place up!!

The servers were kind and attentive, if a bit shy, but the real standout was the man behind the bar and, I assume, the menu. You can tell he has a real passion for what he does, and that energy adds so much to the experience. I'm blanking on the name of the cocktail I ordered, but it was a mix of a martini and a Negroni, which sounded unusual at first and ended up being absolutely delicious. On the food side, everything we ordered was bang on. The bread with rich tomato sauce was comforting and full of flavor, the chorizo sausages were spicy and savory, the endive salad was bright and acidic, and the milanesa was incredibly tender with a deep earthy flavor and paired with an arugula salad to balance things out. Definitely a place I'll be going back to again and again any time I'm in the area and a strong recommendation for the cocktails, the food, the ambience, but especially the people!

It's a combo of go up to the cash register and order plus a server will come and help you out while they deliver the food. Overall food wise, I thought everything was fine. The dip was cheesy. The peppers a little too salty. The salad fulfilled that green craving tho I found the dressing and cheese a lil too heavy handed. And the soup was the comfort I needed on a cold day. I found the fish to be a little heavier in batter than I prefer, but I like most things very lightly battered. The cocktail I got was nice. Balanced and refreshing.
