Was in the area and wanted to check this place out. Walking in the place was bright and light. Welcoming you to sit, play, and enjoy your stay. The manager was nice. Beer selection had something for everyone. They only have food here and there. Plenty of space. Even added a side yard with corn-hole, big checkers, and the big jenga. Cool place to hang out.

Stopped off in town for something cold and refreshing and saw this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The nice big patio outside was what caught our attention. And it's pet friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a good selection of boards game to play as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drink selection does offer a good variety of beer on tap. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was great and the vibe was great as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loads of seating outside which was nice to lounge and people watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I totally loved this place and I hope they make it! They have an amazing location with lot's of space for hanging out. We sat outside and started with a few beers and French fries. My companion and I had a great time playing board games and enjoying the beautiful weather and ambiance. We actually stayed for several hours and enjoyed some bites as well. They have a great selection of beer and wine. Great service too!

    Dog friendly. Beer. Surf.

We love this place after a nice surf sesh. Juno approved too! Great beer selected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Outside seating area with corn hole!

Very clean inside, lots of tvs to watch the game, and I especially love the patio! Enjoyed some delicious beer while playing a game of corn hole outside - and met some cute local pups (pet friendly place!!). When the wind picked up, we opted to come inside for another beer and played a game of chess. The owner is very nice and made us feel welcome. Hope to come back soon!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]So we drive all the way from Fresno just find out there is no pets allow? Such a disappointment in the policy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

WOW. What a great place. No reservations but the hostess was great. Gave us the 'beeper' and came…read moreoutside to check if everyone's was working. We were seated outside under great heating. Water and warm bread were brought by an enthusiastic server. Our wine came less than five minutes later. Seafood pasta was great, packed with everything. We also ordered pork taco trio. Super. We had a great experience here.

I don't like giving negative feedback, in fact this may be my only bad review written to date -…read more but I feel customer service is important & had been genuinely excited to try the food here. Seeing that there was a Patio and that everywhere I had been up to that point, including our hotel, had allowed dogs, I walked over with my tiny pup in his little carry bag. When we arrived, I saw that the patio was enclosed, so I realized I might have to take my pup back to the hotel, but then saw an open air spot with tables and chairs in the parking lot. I would have been willing to sit there and order, so my companion went to ask if that was possible, but was given a very quick and rude "we're not pet friendly", which I was an attitude I was already catching on to as I walked closer and saw unnecessarily large "no pets" signs. I was offended, not for the policy, but because I was already starting to see that was the case & it would have been so easy just to say it gently or nicely & acknowledge that our inquiry was no longer about coming into the restaurant or patio at all. That response made the difference between us taking the doggo back to the hotel room to return for dinner or writing a negative review apparently, because it felt condescending and no food experience is worth feeling unwelcome - especially when every place surrounding the area was completely pet friendly. They are located on a beach, but that day with not-so-relaxed vibes when a simple redirect would have been perfectly fine. I'm a pet person, and it's ok if that's not something you accommodate, I completely understand (especially, sadly, because some pet owners are not responsible, and their pets act like animals and not necessarily family members) - but there's no excuse for being rude when your entire job is service. You're in a beach spot where people come to relax with the people (or animal companions) they love most, no need to have an unfortunate attitude. :( Sorry restaurant/ chef/ other staff, I really would have liked to try the food. P.S. Dog-friendly places can happily have all my money, cheers to patio dining in (most of) California.

Calamari starter as well as the clams on the half shell were perfect. Baskets of sourdough rolls were also very popular. We never felt rushed. A great dinner for our party of six!

Not worth the hype…read more We went to Sea Chest Oyster Bar last night. Honestly, it was extremely disappointing. The food was lackluster and bland. The Clam Chowder tasted like flour and needed salt. The Soy Ginger Mahi Mahi was presented with the Soy Ginger sauce on the side, rather than being cooked in. It was so bland you had to search for the flavor of the sauce. I'm not sure how a dish with soy needed more salt, but it certainly did. Rather than it being a reduction or the fish actually cooked in it, it was just flavorless. And don't get me started on my Halibut. All of the fish is cooked in butter, which should give it some flavor, but it did not. We are usually plate-cleaners, but we both ate only about half of our meal. Lackluster, boring, bland. I would say it was a one-note flavor, but you'd have to have some flavor for that to be true. The only positive I have about the fish is that it was fresh, so I guess there's something. The service was fine. I can imagine what it's like to have an entire restaurant sat at the same time, so there should be some forgiveness there. But for $200 for two people for one appetizer, two entrees, and three glasses of wine, I would expect to be able to get through the meal.

The service was impeccable. The server really knew the menu... the ingredients, how the sauces are made, etc. Speaking of the menu there is a lot of love and creativity in the food... so many subtle details! After each dish we'd ask the server what exactly was in that dish, or how did they create that sauce. A fun dining experience for sure! The Arugula salad with strawberry, apple, walnuts, and goat cheese was a light and refreshing start to the meal. The Paso Robles Pork Belly came in date, apple, mustard sauce or broth that we were literally drinking with a spoon! So interesting! The Shrimp Risotto was really interesting as well! The shrimp were so perfectly cooked that is was notable right off the bat. The consistency of the risotto was very different in a great way, and the type mushrooms they use added anther layer of interesting texture as well. Crab Cakes were good... could have used a bit more crab meat, but the flavor was there and we liked how it's plated with a jumbo shrimp in the center and the grated mango was a yummy mini flavor bomb. The table next to us got the Polenta and that look incredible... definitely going to try that next time. Pricing at this restaurant was extremely reasonable for such an elevated dining experience... 4 dishes and a glass of wine wine for around a hundred bucks! We look forward to coming back!
