    The Cambrian breakfast.

The food at this place is consistently good and the service is excellent. You can bring your dog to the patio and enjoy a nice meal. The inside dining area is cozy and inviting. It's a can't miss place to visit in Cambria.

Creekside Garden Cafe has been our family's favorite place for breakfast and today I tried lunch there and I was so happy I did. My cheeseburger was delicious and so juicy. The restaurant itself has a beautiful patio with a relaxed vibe and great service.

We had breakfast here this morning and being Danish I was excited to see they had ebelskivers on the menu. They were nothing like ebelskivers. These were more like greasy old fashioned donuts with a very dense, doughy center that were fried in old oil. I could barely eat one. The sausage patties that came with it were dry, hard hockey pucks. I was sawing for days to cut it. The coffee was very weak. My husband's garden omelette with home fries were good though. And our server was very pleasant. The outdoor seating area was nice and the bathroom was clean.

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The outside has a nice garden. Our waiter and the staff was very nice and friendly. We received our food quick and hot. My wife enjoyed her egg sandwich. My Denver omelette was good. It just had too much tomato. Next time I'll ask for light tomato. Some of the country potatoes were overcooked and hard. I just moved those aside. Overall we were happy with our meals. Thank you for your friendliness and serving us!

beautiful morning to eat on a patio. service excellent. coffee good. portions are huge. we should have split. should have figured it out when $2 split charge. the wife had Country Browns. I had eggs sausage and biscuits and gravy. all delicious but too much good.

Quick and friendly service - and so good!! We arrived at 7:15am so we could make our 9am reservation for Hearst Castle. We were finished by 8am! We ordered the omelette and the two egg breakfast. Super! Bacon and potatoes ordered extra crispy plus basted eggs - so good !! I ordered

These are the applesauce pancakes. Very disappointing. We couldn't eat them

As a local resident we used to eat at creekside often. My husband loves the applesauce pancakes. I ordered pancakes to go and when I got home I was surprised when I opened the box. The pancakes were so flimsy and burnt and tiny. These are not the applesauce pancakes we remember. The pancakes were also undercooked. I feel so bad recommending these to our air bnb guests the day prior to me getting these. Really disappointed! Quality has gone down.

Must get the pancakes!! Food was delicious, service was amazing, and the ambiance was wholesome and relaxing. Perfect little spot to grab brunch! Also very dog friendly!

Nice little place to enjoy a good breakfast or whatever you're feeling. The wait was a bit probably because I was in a corner spot and there was a a big party in front of me and most were standing up because they didn't have enough sitting for their party. But other than that the patio outside was nice with some cool air to beat the heat where you're from.

We stumbled across this little gem while shopping in downtown Cambria. It was a cold, foggy day. Walking in we were greeted with a warm restaurant, friendly staff, and fun holiday music playing. I had the French dip and fries. The sandwich was excellent. It was served HOT, with warm au jous and hot French fries. My honey had a 1/2 Mexican pizza. She said it was also excellent. She loved it. The food was so good we went back for breakfast the next day. Again, she ordered the 1/2 Mexican pizza with an egg on the side. I had the breakfast special, the chicken fried steak. Yep, again, incredible!! Another favorite of ours in Cambria. We'll be back!!

Love, love, love this place. There are plenty of breakfast spots in Cambria, but none like this one. The food is yummy, they have good coffee (nothing fancy but we are coffee snobs and we enjoyed it) and the service is amazing.

We have eaten breakfast here twice midweek. It's chilly outside but cute. SUPER corned beef hash !! Their home style potatoes are good. Second visit our food & coffee weren't real warm. Inside is cozy. Busier dining room that day. Biscuits were cool on a cool plate & hot gravy cooled off fast. We wanted to try the famous apricot French toast. Next time. Service is very friendly, maybe they have trouble keeping up when it's busy.

Our server easily named several of her favorite dishes, and we happily took her recommendations. The beet salad she recommended was excellent, and the olallieberry vinaigrette made such a big difference in the burst of taste. The burgers were also outstanding - we tried both of the ones she suggested. On our way out, we bought three pies, including a mini olallieberry pie, preserves, vinaigrette, and more from the attached shop. What a great idea to have a shop with the restaurant. It was pricey but worth it for the quality and taste. Bathrooms were clean. There is parking in the lot behind the restaurant.

Everyone was…read moreincredibly welcoming, and I'm writing this from a place of appreciation because I genuinely wanted to love the food as much as everything else. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, so I left feeling a little disappointed that it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. My husband and I ordered the calamari, Caesar salad, linguini, and wild-caught salmon. The calamari was good, but the oversized plate made the portion look much smaller than it actually was... almost like leftovers. It's a minor detail, but serving it on a smaller plate would make it much more visually appealing. The Caesar salad was decent, although I wasn't expecting the tortilla chips. It was a unique touch, but I personally think the salad would benefit from sticking closer to a more traditional Caesar recipe. For our entrées, the linguini was much too watery, and most of the shrimp hadn't been deveined, which noticeably affected the overall experience. Given the price, I expected a higher level of attention to detail. In Southern California, shrimp linguini typically ranges from about $18-25 at casual restaurants, $26-32 at mid-range establishments, and $33-45+ at upscale restaurants. At around $35, I expected fresh, well-executed pasta, a balanced sauce, and properly prepared shrimp. I don't mind paying premium prices for a great meal, but in this case, the quality simply didn't reflect the price point. The wild-caught salmon had good flavor, but it was unfortunately overcooked. The presentation also left us a bit confused. It was served on a wooden board placed on top of a large ceramic plate, and neither my husband nor I could quite figure out the purpose of the extra board. We actually found ourselves giggling a little because we kept looking at it wondering, "Why is there a board on a plate?" I think the dish would have looked cleaner and more elegant served directly on the plate. The oversized plate, combined with the board and the vegetables arranged around it, made the presentation feel busier than it needed to be. Sometimes, less really is more. Overall, I truly enjoyed the ambiance and the excellent service, and I appreciate the effort that goes into creating such a welcoming experience. I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit it's intended because I'd love to see the food match the outstanding hospitality. Despite my experience, I would absolutely give Linn's another chance. The atmosphere and service alone make it worth returning, and next time I'd love to try the breakfast menu, which I've heard wonderful things about. I'm hopeful my next visit will better reflect the reputation this restaurant has earned. :)

We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. I tried branching out once... the Baja Mocha and I worked through it.

The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

Now, full disclosure--I might be a little biased because Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. I grew up in Los Angeles, where finding incredible Mexican food isn't a challenge... it's practically a birthright. So when I say Medusa's is the real deal, I don't hand out that compliment lightly. My wife and I almost always order the Molcajete, and it's become our tradition. It's advertised as serving two people, and it absolutely does... assuming one of those people doesn't "accidentally" keep taking just one more bite. It's loaded with flavor, generous portions, and arrives at the table looking like it deserves its own introduction. The biggest surprise on this visit? The tortillas. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list. If you're in Cambria and craving authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. Just one piece of advice: don't fill up on the chips... no matter how much your stomach insists it's a great idea. Your future self will thank you when the Molcajete arrives.
