Nutella French Toast
Christina D.

Sunday brunch experience was pleasant. Quiet dim light bar that serves brunch the first Sunday of the month. The food was good, nothing out of this world, and a little on the pricey side, but overall an enjoyable experience. Service was good. Our party had the coal miners breakfast, Nutella French Toast, Spicy Smothered hash-browns, and the spicy biscuits and gravy. The pancakes where very good - fluffy and not too sweet. The Nutella FT was good but needed more filling, and maybe bananas instead of the 4 slices of strawberries in the middle and on top. The coal miner was a plateful, and the biscuits where very good. The sausage gravy was ok, and the spicy hash brown lefts you wanting something more...like it was missing an element. Neither those, nor the 'spicy' sausage gravy had any kind of spice. Overall would do again, but nothing to get super hyped about.

Waiting on Name That Tune to start!

Loved our first visit there. Had a blast during name that tune. The set up could of been better (cheating was very prevalent). Food was good, service wasn't so much. The staff seemed quite confused. We will be back for sure!

Ordering our first dinner! Yum!

I've been here several time on the weekend during bar hours! But I had yet to make it out for the actually diner hours. Tonight I finally got a chance to make it out with my girlfriend! We went in and it also happened to be $5 burger night so we were pumped! I got a burger with jalapeños and bacon and fries! We also ordered cheese curds! The cheese curds were the best I've had and the sauce drizzled on top of them was sweet and spicy! The burger was so juicy and cooked exactly how I requested it! The fries are also amazing. They are like a cross between almost a Cajun/curly fry outside breading, but larger thick cut fries. The house ketchup is fantastic as well. It's like a spicy dark color almost BBQ hybrid. Besides the food, they also have great cocktails and they had my favorite local beer on tap: Devil's Anse. Overall, we left stuffed and I won't have to eat for 3 days! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting great food for a reasonable price! Plus they always have specials and trivia and late nights it's a bar! Will be back!!

Menu has great food choices and drinks.

First impression of the inside of the restaurant was great...kind of like speakeasy vibes, cool decor, dark. We were greeted by the water waiter who offered us three types of water to choose from. Waitress came over and took our orders. First thing to come out was the Waygu Beef Carpaccio. I took a pic of it but it didn't save to my phone for some reason but it was a solid 10/10. That garlic horseradish aioli was amazing. Secondly, my dad's meal came with a salad, he chose ceasar which might have had the best croutons on it that I've ever had. Bread was also served which was a sourdough, I believe, with 2 butter options (regular and garlic) and an olive oil. Very good. Dad's meal was the 14 oz bone in ribeye with a one pound loaded potato. He said all was very good. For my meal, I got the Cajun cream pasta with steak. It was perfection. There is nothing bad I can say about this dish other than I didn't think it was spicy at all. Didn't matter though because the flavor was great. With the Father's Day special, dads got a dessert and an old fashioned with their meal as well. For dessert, he got the lemon blueberry cheesecake. I took a bite of it and it was so good. The reason I didn't give this experience 5/5 stars is because the service was lacking. Typically, I factor in if the restaurant is busy. I'll start by saying, they were not busy. Out of the 13 or so tables, 6 were occupied including us. Our waitress maybe had us and another table she was waiting on. The waitress was very nice but I had to ask for items a couple times. Bread, drink refills, etc. The water waiter filled our drinks many times and then he stopped coming around. I asked the waitress for refills on our drinks and ended up having to remind her. I know technically it was the water waiters job so I'm not faulting her entirely because she did end up being the one to fill our glasses. At the end, she did tell us it was one of her first nights there so then we understood some of the hiccups. Again, very nice and certainly not a horrible waitress. She did great for the most part. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend- go try it out. Enjoy some food pics I took.

We knew this as the Union Square Music Hall, so had to check this was the right entry to review…read more Went to see Marc Broussard there on a family staycation thing. Baby K's first indoor concert. Great place for a show. Coming in was confusing. The entry is in the center and up the stairs. But we had to check in first and get our hands stamped, in the door just to the right. Friendly and helpful staff the whole time, at check-in, the door, bar, etc. Go up the stairs and there is a little landing with bathrooms and a sort of recovery room thing- didn't go in there, but looked like a place to escape the crowd and noise. Straight in the double doors is the show venue, a cool old theater. Great sound, nice lighting. Bar is up another set of stairs, with a small balcony with tables. Accessibility might be an issue; I saw no elevator though there could be one. Two sets of steep stairs were hard on an old guy with bad knees, especially coming down from the bar with drinks. Pizza and burgers, etc., at the bar, nice to have handy. Fast friendly service. Downstairs, the bar to the left of the entry looks quite nice, and they had the show on a TV. Crowd wasn't massive so you could wander up and down and enjoy all areas. Definitely would come back for another show.

We did have drink/bar issues in that the third floor bar was limited and the main floor bar was busy with only one gal tending. My husband could not get the beer he wanted as they were out so he settled for another. He ordered my Riesling but they had to go fetch a warm bottle from the basement. The sound was pretty good, although since we were standing under the speakers, it was difficult for me to hear his between song chats with the audience. I would return. I love old places with character and this suits my enjoyment of small Indy shows.
