One of my favorite coffee beans to go to. Right down the street from my Keller Williams Real Estate office. Favorite drink is a hot black Americano. I usually pickup a cup on my way to the office. When I don't feel like working in the office or have many phone calls I find my way there. I walk around the shopping center if I'm on a phone call or work on one of the many seating arrangements they have or on their nice outdoor patio. Since a coworker told me that brand is actually tasty, I bought a bag in support of the show's success. This CBTL location is awesome! My out of state friends came to visit this past August and we grabbed coffee here every morning because they were THAT in love with it. I really enjoy their blended matcha or when I want a coffee their iced vanilla latte is the perfect amount of sweet to espresso ratio IMO. If you're looking to beat the line, their online ordering app is very effective. I walked in to this CBTL that had a like almost out the door on a Sunday and I got in and out within 8 minutes after placing my order there in store. The service/ staff is what makes me continue to come back to this location. One of the managers recently helped me out with an order and I appreciate him alongside one of the employees, Matthew. Whenever I come in with a friend while Matthew is working, the experience never misses! I haven't really sat down extensively inside of CBTL, but while I wait for my drink alongside a friend we sit down on their blue velvet seats and they are sooo comfy. IF I were to come here to study, I'd bring some noise canceling headphones since I think their music overhead is a bit on the louder side for that. I've only gone through drive-thru at this location so I have no idea what it's like to actually sit down and eat here. The drive-thru service is pretty quick. I really like that they give non-dairy milk options as I am lactose intolerant. I always just get matcha lattes. The drink itself is pretty sweet. I'm pretty sure that you could ask for less sugar. I don't know what kind of matcha powder they use. I prefer the Starbucks matcha lattes just a little bit more. I've noticed the matcha lattes at Coffee Bean are a little bit warm. I guess I can just ask for more ice next time. Other than that, the workers always seem happy. I haven't had any negative experiences at this location. read more

Went in to get their 6 orders of bagels and coffee breakfast . They were out of plain bagels so had to pay separately for the bagels and coffee. Should not be the customers fault or dime that they run out of plain bagels. So when I asked if I can also have a creamer or milk to go, the cashier said that I have to pay for it. No choice so I paid. In all actually, when you order coffee you can pour your own milk or creamer at no charge. Would never go back to this place. My love for CBTL is strong, there is really no coffee chain that is as consistent. While I do prefer seeking out and supporting local businesses, when there is nothing in the area like here in Brea, CBTL is absolutely the best choice. SUMMARY: This place is terrible. If you want coffee, there's a Starbucks in the Albertson's right down the way Let me preface this review by saying I don't complain about bad service... like ever. I usually give restaurants and what not the benefit of the doubt; maybe someone there is just having an off day, maybe there's new hires. But the service at this place is so consistently awful that I'm now convinced that it's staffed by undercover Starbucks agents who are just trying to scare people away Literally every time I've gone here it's taken more than 30 minutes to get from the start of the drive through until I get my order. And if that weren't ridiculous enough, by the time I actually get the order, there's almost always at least one thing wrong with it, and it's not like I ever order anything super complicated. The weirdest thing is that if I order a pastry or a sandwich they'll ask me if I want it warmed up, and no joke, at least half of the time they've done the opposite of what I asked for. So it's not like they always heat it or they never heat it. It's like if I specifically ask for it heated up they won't do it, and if I ask for them not to heat it up they do. Last time I went there it was so bad that I've decided to just never go to any coffee bean and tea leaf again. I ordered an ice blended drink and a croissant. Again after 30 minutes, I finally make it up to the window and when I get there they ask "So you ordered the ice blended drink and the croissant?" After confirming, they go back in for another couple minutes, and bring out... an iced drink and a bagel. I didn't feel like waiting for another 5 minutes to get the ice blended so I just asked for the croissant and left... with a drink that had so much sweetener added that it was pretty much undrinkable Again, I don't complain about bad service. This is THE MOST UNSANITARY Coffee Bean I've ever been in. This is the second random time I've made a pit stop here, on a whim, only to find bugs (flies/gnats) crawling all over AND in the bakery items. I would NEVER eat anything unpackaged from here, and maybe even if it were packaged, I would still be hesitant. I don't know what else they have crawled around in the back. I will be posting pics! The last time I was here, I pointed out the big fly that was in the baked goods to the cashier. The fly was crawling over some of the muffins. She allegedly told me that she would be throwing away all the baked goods. I doubt she did that, but I'm sure she shooed the fly away so anyone who came in after me wouldn't see it! In any event, this place is filthy. The filth is primarily around the "kitchen" area where drinks are made & food is heated up. In addition, some dusting around their in-store displays couldn't do them any bad. Not very happy with my experience I had today. This is usually my study place and the staff USUALLY are helpful. The lady who takes the drive thru orders has an attitude tone of voice and I do not appreciate that when I am being nice. Being rude to a customer because they want a drink a certain way, (asking if almond milk is good or if soy is better with my drink) then someone that was making the drinks said "just do it whatever" is not a good attitude. This morning staff was very rude and not plan on coming back to get served by these people. Do not recommend getting coffee with these morning crew. So unhappy with todays and I wish I caught the MULTIPLE STAFF who was rude. Afternoon staff RAUL is kind, patient, and understanding with no attitude towards any customer. I love Coffee Bean, They have the best ice tea but this location sucks! Always super slow and when I went the other day I ordered and Ice tea and I got what looked like dirty water. So gross. This location needs some attention. It's a great space, larger than most Coffee Beans, but not well cared for of late. Spills on the sugar/creamer bar weren't wiped up during my 90-minute visit. Dirt and crumbs were visible under the coffee table....some of the same ones I had seen there last month maybe? And the bathrooms needed more toilet paper and a quick sweep. Oh, and now they charge a quarter for water. According to the barista, that started in December and they're charging us for the cup. At 10:28 am I ordered my usual drink from this same location that I always come ,but today's service was unusually horrible. First, I ordered and paid for a large drink and they gave me a regular. I let them know and they had a new drink ready for me about 30 seconds later. I drove away and took a sip of my coffee, but it tasted like milk rather than the creamy coffee it usually tastes like. I went back into the drive thru and kindly explained to the same barista that this isn't the drink I usually receive. She took my drink rudely and came back with a speech ready. Instead of apologizing and demonstrating proper customer service she decided to lecture me on getting a different drink next time if I don't like it. I tried to reiterate to her that I get this drink almost everyday and know this isn't what it tastes like, but she walked away from the window without listening. At this point, I was done with her. I drove off and took a sip of the "new drink" she made and it was the same one but with way too much sweetener added. After I moved, I still come here to get a drink but their ice blended drinks are in the worst quality ever. I got two extremely watery ice blended drinks two times in a row. Not sure who was blending them but they sure don't know how to do it. My dark chocolate ice blended drinks came out like drinking chocolate water 2 minutes they came out of the order window. How can an ice blended drink taste like melted chocolate water?? Please train your employees correctly and have them deliver the good quality drinks!!! My "home" store now that I moved across town (last year! Yes yes this review is Long overdue). & I am confident to say I am absolutely so so lucky to have the best morning drive thru staff I can ever ask for. Sincere (no fake chirpiness here), quick, and most importantly ACCURATE. They pour my ordered drinks into my personal cup, and it's that perfect temp to drink right away and stay deliciously piping hot for my entire work morning. It doesn't last Beyond that. Oh, & the drive thru line is half the one on Rose Dr. I've tried most of the menu, and it's hard to make Recs cuz it's all personal preference. My go to is the vanilla latte, extra shot & they can sub almond or oat milk. Oddly, I prefer my iced vanilla as iced coffee. It just might be that extra kick cuz the brewed coffee here is bold. For the ice blended, my Fav is the cookies & cream. It's an absolute treat, and can be ordered coffee-free (if you have littles to bribe). My Fav tea is the matcha (extra matcha) or one of their black teas as a hot tea latte. Blueberry Pom, English breakfast, all so good. Iced, oh.. the peach jasmine cold brews is so refreshing. They also have this jalapeño cheese bagel, it's surprisingly delicious for a chain coffee shop. Blueberry muffin here has a legit muffin top with crumble (vs you know,.. the green strawed rival).
