I absolutely love coming to this coffee bean and tea leaf location. Staff is super friendly and they always make my flavor coffee right all the time. I like their cafe mocha which they use fresh coffee and their signature CB powdered chocolate. They also have CB signature mugs for sale. You can also purchase through their app and earn points there. Once you earn enough points you can redeem for free drinks. Definitely coming back here as I love their drinks. read more

(Ones the cashier and one is a barista) Placed a mobile order and had to wait 10 additional minutes in the store and there were a ton of people waiting for their drinks and they were super backed up. I always get the hazelnut latte with whip cream, probably one the best lattes I've ever had. I love how they use the small ice cubes. Staff is always sweet, and the line goes by pretty quick. I never have to ask them to change the drink because it's too sweet/too strong. It's always tastes delicious and gives me the right amount of caffeine. A different selection and taste from Starbucks. The coffee is definitely stronger when it comes to caffeine content. Don't drink the regular coffee after 4pm, the caffeine will keep you up till 1-2am, FACT! (happened to me twice :( Coffee Bean hot coffees are full flavored, bold, and very aromatic, while the ice coffees are refreshing and flavor-filled. If I need to stay up, a regular cup of coffee does the trick. The teas are very soothing choosing from Oolong, Green, or Black. Hot or cold they are a treat for the non-coffee drinkers OR if you just want a cup of tea. My favorite tea is Oolong for night and Matcha during the day. Try the difference. I decided to treat my coworkers to some coffee in the morning. Put in the order about 10 minutes after they opened. I arrived about 20 after they opened and noticed someone walked in but locked the door behind them. I realized they had come in late to open the store so they decided to cancel my order. Not only did my chai latte taste horrendous, but when I approached the manager Michelle to express my dissatisfaction and to have the drink remade properly, she responded with an attitude just as nasty like the drink she made. She told me to drink something else if I didn't like. It's ironic how their own policy claims they would remake a drink if a customer is unhappy, yet they failed to do so. Unless you enjoy subpar drinks, policies being ignored, and abrasive people like Michelle. I highly recommend you go elsewhere and avoid this location like the plague. read more

So let me preface this by saying I have a lot of compassion for people who work retail jobs. I understand that customers can be annoying, sometimes even malicious to cashiers or other employees. I always try to treat people in such positions with humanity and respect. So this morning, I went to this Coffee Bean as I had a few times prior, and the woman working the register seemed displeased. When she finally came to take my order, she didn't say a word. She just stood there and glared at me. I asked her earnestly if she was ok, to which she replied that it was a weird question to ask. I said I didn't think it was, and then she walked away and said "someone else can take your order." Fortunately one of the other guys working at the time was kind enough to take my order and ring me up. (Thank you bro if you're reading this.) Since there aren't a lot of "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" locations near where I live, I honestly never really made it a point to stop by for coffee/tea. However this location was closest to my workplace and every time I stopped by (even for mobile order pickups), the staff has always been phenomenal and super friendly. The GM Thomas knows all the regulars and he goes above and beyond for his clients; ensuring quality drinks with a smile. I will say though that since most of the staff are part-timers/students, there can be a high turnover and inconsistency when it comes to the taste and quality of the drinks.. However, if you kindly let them know that you didn't love your drink, they're usually more than happy to fix it for you. It's usually very busy at this location so I do appreciate when the team takes care of their clients and do so with respect and a friendly smile (which can definitely be easier said than done sometimes). My go-to drinks were an Americano, Vietnamese Cold Brew and Hazelnut Latte, and they always hit the spot each morning. read more

Every time I come here I ask for a hot drink and they make it iced, or vice versa. I don't understand why it's so hard to listen to people's orders and make what they want? Also the workers sit and talk forever and take forever to make anyone's drinks. Customers sit and wait forever while the workers don't even make drinks, or make easy drinks and make the people who get more complicated drinks wait forever. It's super annoying being in a hurry and people that come in after me get their drink before me, and then I still end up getting the wrong drink (: they also don't take your name so when your drink is ready they don't call it out so basically it's a guessing game! I am a daily coffee bean customer but honestly this location sucks. I feel like the owner really doesn't care at all about how their business is ran at this location. EVERY single week they are out of something essential. Whether that's cups, oat milk, vanilla.. you name it, they will be out of an essential item. But what really turned me off was that in order to pay for my drink, I was asked to tip the cashier in order to finish my purchase. Tipping culture has really gotten out of hand. Internet here is insanely slow. But I guess that's good since most people here should be studying and not surfing the web anyway. It's a really spacious shop with a decent amount of seating although during the busier hours, it might be hard to find seating. There's A LOT of outdoor seating though, weather permitting. Drinks are not bad and the baristas are all really friendly. Bathrooms are relatively clean and there's food nearby, making this shop an ideal spot to marathon cram for exams. This Coffee Bean is really cozy and nicely decorated. Also, the restrooms are so clean as well. I didn't have a chance to know the casher's name, which I should have. He was a very friendly, funny man with an interesting hair style - no offense, I just thought his hair and everything made him look like a scientist in movies or something, like a scientist in Coffee bean lab. He gave thorough explanations to each customer's every question. I liked he never said, "Oh, let me check what we have" or "Let me ask what we have", he just knew everything. I start off with the good first. Love your coffee and their drinks. I love their variety and especially the dark chocolate that they can add. They have great specialty drinks and you can tell the ingredients they use are high quality. The bad: customer service at various locations is wildly different. For example, the coffee bean nearest my house on El Toro road and trabuco has good customer service. They're usually quick and eager to please. They are friendly and have a great attitudes. On the other hand, the coffee Bean on Moulton parkway just south of El Toro is one of the worst ones I have ever been to. The manager has a terrible attitude. Just doesn't seem to care about anything. Even though I'm a silver member, he would not honor the email that I got from coffee Bean that would have given me half off my drink. I showed it to him and he refused to honor it. He gave me a bad attitude about it and said the best he could do was take a dollar off. This is typical of this location is I've had terrible customer service one time waiting 20 minutes in line while one car in front of me ordered two drinks and it took them 20 minutes to get. I would avoid this location like the plague. It is terrible. The ugly in general corporate customer service is terrible. They have never responded to anything. I have sent them text wise message wise or a phone call wise. I have heard this from numerous other customers. When they put in their new rewards program the app wouldn't work for 10 days and I missed out on several things like the half Price coffee, all the points I could have earned during the 10 days etc. I could not use the app at all because it wouldn't work etc. Customer service never responded and I have heard that this is common with many people who have the same problem. That's why I left a maybe review because it depends on which coffee bean Location you go to. The one by my house is excellent. The one on molten parkway I would quit going to if it was my only location near my house. It was terrible read more
