I guess today was a good reminder why I don't get coffee from Coffee Bean. Staff our ruler rude. I am not the biggest fan of chain, but I do go to Starbucks often and I've never had this horrible experience. Charging extra for ice? What? I ordered on the app and went inside, drink was ready in a few minutes, however did not taste good. I was trying to get the barista's attention and she seemed to know that I wanted something but looked the other way. Ok! Drink didn't even taste good and with that kind of attitude, I was not gonna ask her to remake it. Based on the reviews from before, she would probably refuse. The store was a little busy. I ordered a cold brew which is something that is already made. 2 people that ordered after me received their blended drinks. And a woman ahead of me was still waiting for her drinks as well The person putting the drinks on the counter was calling out names and placing the drinks on the counter. There were several places the drinks were being placed and a couple of different servers. Customers were walking up and didnt know what drink belonged to who. When it came to mine they called out a completely different name. I waited and finally asked if my drink was coming. One of the servers said" oh yea this is yours" pointing to the one that been sitting there and had a different name called for it. Still gets 3 stars because the coffee is good. GETTING HERE: For clarification, this is not the location down on Victoria/Seabridge (as another Yelper reviewed). This is the location across from the Walmart on Rose Avenue in Oxnard, CA. Very limited parking, especially at lunch time because you have to navigate the car crowd from Chick-fil-A. REVIEW: Oh, this is a tough one to review. Some Coffee Beans are outstanding and the baristas are seemingly friendly and happy and positive. But, this one doesn't leave me with that same feeling. I get it though. Different employees, different days, etc. etc. But, still. It is what it is. We're doing the best we all can, I try to believe that. Overall, my visits have been unremarkable, very very basic, Nothing much brings me back here, honestly, for me their location doesn't make it easier for me to want to come back. Drinks have been good enough. I've ordered a variety of drinks over the years and have gone back again and again to their Ginseng Peppermint Iced Tea Latte. My favorite drink, hands down. If you have time to navigate the limited parking area, I would recommend this CBTL. read more

Stop marking mobile orders complete if they are not ready!! The coffee is good but the service is horrible. Why give an estimated pick up time if you're always gonna be 20 minutes after, I guess they mark them complete to make their numbers look better. It sucks sitting there watching the walk ins get their drinks 5-10 minutes before you. I can deal with the long wait times just stop flagging it as complete and maybe add the additional time to the expected pick up time!! read more

They always take long for drinks to come out, which I understand it can be a bit busy, but the amount of baristas they have, they should've take 30 min for a mobile order. I went in this morning and ordered a blonde Americano with light half & half, one pump of cookie butter, and a jalapeño bagel. The cashier immediately said in a sharp tone, "We don't make blonde espressos," which confused me because I've ordered this many times before. When I asked what kind they did have, she replied with attitude, "Regular." It was early, and I didn't have time to argue since my child and I were headed to a soccer game, so I said that was fine. Then she asked if I just wanted a latte, and I clarified that I only wanted light half & half in my Americano. After waiting quite a while (especially since it wasn't busy), I was finally handed a small cup which was less than half way full with what seemed to be mostly creamer and syrup, definitely not what I ordered. I also never received my jalapeño bagel. I've never had such a rude experience like this at any other coffee bean before. I had to be leave in a rush since they took so long. I am so confused and disappointed. I literally gave you my money, ended up tossing the drink because it was absolutely disgusting and never got my bagel. read more

So many great memories at this place! I studied here when I was in college. I love all the windows. The shop set up is kind of weirdly shaped. Staff wasn't super friendly and were not in the best of moods but that's ok. I got the Pumpkin Cold Brew, I didn't love it. I love the Turkey pesto, quick lunch in a rush. I asked one staff about the difference between handcrafted latte and the cold brew latte and she explained kindly and I easily understood They are attentive to things around them even when they are busy with making drinks. First time was horrible and they've gotten my order wrong. But I've decided to give them another try. One thing I can say about both experiences is that they do one thing right: consistency. Mondays as part of my routine; I go get a mid-day coffee for a pick me up. Today I needed something strong but I was served with horrible customer service and given an incorrect drink. I ordered a pure blended hazelnut drink with no whip cream. The empty white part you guys see was all the whipped cream inside my drink. I will not be coming here anymore this place is so inconsistent I ordered this exact drink two weeks ago and it tasted sweet. I called at 6:21 p.m. and came on 5/8/24. Lady told me that they usually "add a lot of ice to make it thick which makes the drink not sweet at all that would just recommend how the drink regularly is" and to not order thick. It is really hard to review a chain coffee shop like Coffee Bean because of how similar all of the stores are however, what sets them apart is their baristas and their ability to leave a good impression in the short time you are there. This is a place that I visit frequently, mostly because of the location and its proximity to the freeway. But out of all of the CB I frequent, this one always seems to get my order right and the staff always has a positive attitude when taking my order and handing me my drink. While these are some of the things you would normally expect from every business you frequent, it is really not the case everywhere you go. So because I always get good and consistent customer service which is coupled with having my coffee order correct every time, this is one of my favorite CB shops in the VC. read more

I have a really bad experiences with them. The guy who works there wanted to charge me for a dollar to warm up my milk which is ridiculous in my opinion. I didn't ask them to do something big, it was just warming my milk which I think should be part of their responsibilities!!! Another day, he also wanted to charge me for 25 cent for an extra cup!!!!!!!!!!!! which usually Starbucks gives it for free!!! Oxnard Coffee Bean has been at this location for years. It can get really backed up but they are making drinks fresh. My favorites are the ice blended drinks, especially the hazelnut; vanilla cafe is another winner. Plan ahead, I've waited up to 15 minutes for my order in the past. Of course this only happens when I'm rushing to work, 5 stars. The employees work really hard here and the coffee is great. read more

I went there today, there was no line so i was happy about that since i was in a hurry for an appointment, still i waited almost five minutes to be greeted by the barista which i believe was the shift supervisor which seemed annoyed because i apparently interrupted the conversation she was having with another barista, she was so rude and her customer service needs improvement i really cant believe shes the shift supervisor. We stopped for coffee tonight and received the worst service we have ever had in a CBTL. We walked in and the batista barely acknowledged us. She made a burrito for a mobile order before even looking at us. We stood there for a solid 4 minutes and she didn't say anything. My husband said to get her name, wich she must have heard because she immediately wentin back and took off her apron that had her nametag on it. This location has never had stellar service, but tonight was bad enough that we won't be going back. A new coffee place just opened, so Starbucks is not the only other option. read more

Although this location is so busy, they always have my order ready within an appropriate timeframe and I never truly have issues with my items. I love the artwork inside and their commitment to their community by allowing students to study inside. Coffee is delicious, which is why I keep coming here. Thank you! Great staff !!! Very friendly !!! Sometimes parking can be a. It tight, due to the traffic of a lot of take out restaurants and small little spaces to get by all of that congestion. This is a pretty small CB, but it works. There is also sitting outside. read more

Good drinks but slow service. I tried to order ahead using the mobile app for the first time. When I got there 15 minutes later, one of the two drinks I ordered was ready. After about another 15 minutes, the barista asked if I ordered a matcha latte which I didn't. Tried to explain to her that one of my mobile order drinks wasn't ready and she finally made it (cold brew which shouldn't take long...) but gave me a small and didn't ask what size I ordered. I had to show her my receipt (ordered a large) and she finally made the drink right. The cold brew vanilla bean drink was great but the service was lacking. Ended up waiting almost 30 minutes anyway even though I ordered ahead and the line was out the door. Not sure if I'll be back to this location. Parking is also tight with a lot of speedy drivers. Will likely go out of my way to the one in Ventura which has the best service, easier parking and good drinks. read more

This location is disgustingly dirty. The furniture is visibly worn and windows are full of hand smears. The floor smelled of urine upon walking in. The bathroom was dirty and had no soap. I politely let the baristas know that the soap was out. I waited approx. 15 minutes and still no soap refill was brought out. Who knows if the staff is even washing their hands properly. Coffee Bean is one of my lower ranking coffee shops to begin with. This coffee bean location is the worst. I waited for almost ten minutes to order, then no nice greeting from the barista. I ordered a deaf ice tea which took another 5 minutes as they had to brew it. It came out looking like water, it was so underbrewed. I asked the girl behind the counter what's was wrong with my ice tea and she merely said they don't come out good when they make ice tea. Ummm, and that's acceptable?! I asked her to make me another one that actually had the tint of ice tea (maybe use more tea leaves or bags)? At this point it's all way over her head and I left with a cup of very very weak water with a hint of tea coloring. Also, zero vegan options for snacks. Terrible service. Terrible taste. Dropped in for a quick midday pick me up and I was surprised (I thought it was going to be busy!) I work in that same shopping center and was hesitant to go visit the coffee bean because it may be swamped with too many customers but to my surprise it wasn't! I had originally tried to make my order through the app but I was having difficulties doing so, so I went ahead and walked inside. I was second in line and was promptly greeted by a smiley young blonde woman. I ordered my poison of choice (large hazelnut ice blended with whip) and asked if I could apply the 50% coupon in store she then stated that it was only valid starting later in the afternoon. She also asked if I would like to add a pastry to my order but I kindly declined. Well while she was asking me if I wanted a pastry I had already put my phone away. She kindly instructed me to pull my phone back out so that I could get credited with my purchase any way and so I did. She then asked if it was a "for here" or a "to go" order and I stated that it was a "to go" order, them I payed through Apple Pay. I sat down and literally waited less that 2 minutes for my order and I heard that they had called the customers name that was originally in front of me and thought to myself "she didn't ask me for my name" .... low and behold I heard the barista actually say my name and not butcher it! I don't drink hot coffee, but I do enjoy an iced one from time to time. This location is in a plaza, so parking is very easy to find. The interior is clean and modern, while the staff are friendly and welcoming. Large Hazelnut Iced Coffee: Good! It had a great hazelnut flavor, was creamy, had the perfect ice-to-coffee ratio, and the coffee overall was not too strong. My co-worker says anything flavored with pumpkin spice from Coffee Bean is worth getting. I'll definitely try some next time, as well as a pastry or another baked good from the glass shelf. read more
