Had to stop in for a tea this morning.
David P.

It was hot in Riverside, and I needed to cool off. I stopped in Coffee Bean in downtown. I can be a little picky with tea because I don't like anything too sweet. The person behind the counter described all the drink and suggested the Passion Black tea. I'm so glad it wasn't like some other places where they get annoyed when they have 1,000 options and get upset when you ask a question. Good customer service.

Shout out too Desaree, I hope I spelt it correctly! Her customer service is outstanding, she did a beautiful gesture for my husband and I this morning and we appreciate her kindness!! Not all angels wear capes!! Thank you Desaree.

It was early morning and no one was there I order a Cappuccino and a chocolate croissant, the croissant was a pretty nice size and it tasted good. It was nice and flaky.. surprisingly the Cappuccino had a good taste as well. It wasn't water down but had a nice strong taste to it.. as it should.. the service was nice , helpful girl taking my order and was polite. The ambiance in the morning is nice and quiet inside and just the homeless outside the streets lol. But overall a good location to grab a quick cup of coffee

After a long wait at the ABC licensing office, I stopped by for a much-needed coffee and opted for a dirty chai to perk me up. The customer service was excellent, and I didn't have to wait long for my drink. Both the interior and exterior were clean. Overall it was great!

Great place to come and get a delicious tea of coffee. Came here to warm up from visiting the mission inn Festival of Lights. Very quiet peaceful place with nice mellow indie music playing

Coffee Bean is far superior to Starbucks. I wish that there were more of them in our area.

I love coming here to drink my favorite ice blended drinks and study. However, the weekends can get pretty noisy.

I didn't want to enter any cafe very small/ with petite tables or judgement if I sat down for 1.5 hr to work on my computer. I bought a sausage croissant which was just ok, but still a nice quick breakfast item. I was able to sit in a comfy chair with an outlet source & table to conference in my meeting. I was left unbothered & comfortable the whole time, which I greatly appreciated. There are several lounge chairs, tables & areas to space out to work, read, lounge, etc! I would certainly return another day to try out their coffee menu and those earl grey lavender scones (wish I saw those first!!) The barista was kind & the atmosphere very pleasant!

SERVICE here is VERY BAD!…read more The service at Back to the Grind was genuinely one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. While I was in the middle of placing my order, an older gentleman wearing glasses abruptly walked away from me mid-conversation to speak with someone he knew. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right back," nothing. I was left standing there confused and waiting while they casually chatted amongst themselves. At the same time, my husband approached another employee -- a young woman with very long black hair and a pink bandana (see pic)-- simply to ask for the WiFi password. Without even looking at him, she told him he needed to "buy something first." When he explained that I was already ordering, she repeated herself in a dismissive tone and continued making sandwiches without making eye contact once. What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. One rude interaction can happen anywhere -- but multiple employees displaying the same behavior reflects a larger issue.

Overall: a cute place and concept( pretty expensive and hot or miss food…read more ---- My number one gripe is that there were no prices on any of their items in their display case for food and desserts. How are people supposed to know how much things cost? If here is enough room to have the name of the product on it, it's not hard to put the number of dollars it costs right there next to it. I hateeeee when coffee shops do this! The coffee was an iced pistachio latte for $8.50, and various food items that we had no idea the totals until charged for the bill, I don't remember the exact number but I was kind of shocked at the total price of everything which I think was high $30s-40s? The interior was super cute with their red chairs and their story concept on the walls. The seats were comfortable and it was pretty crowded in the coffee shop with students and people working on their laptops. The food wasn't that good. For the prices we paid I kind of expected more, especially from that chicken roll item. The chicken was very dry and the flavors were lacking. It tasted like something you can get frozen from the stores that you just microwave or air fry.I enjoyed the cheesecake, but I didn't really like the pistachio milk cake, it tasted Joe they just mixed their milk solution with pistachio pudding powder (based off of the to bright/unnatural green color of it) and didn't flavor it with any real pistachio nuts. I enjoyed the coffee as well however I feel that the prices of everything was expensive especially when we didn't even know the prices of 3/4 of the things we purchased. I understand that we can ask how much each thing cost but how annoying would it be to ask about every single one. It would be very annoying and such a hassle for the cashier too. On the plus side parking is easy bc it shares it in a pretty big plaza. Another upside is that it's close to a ton of good food options in that area as well. ---- Overall: I wouldn't be back, expensive, don't know the price of their food bc none of it is listed out, and the food is hit or miss, interior decor is very cute tho

Arcade Coffee Roasters is a place for coffee enthusiasts and non-coffee enthusiasts alike--they…read morehave options for all ages and tastes. This is a very unique shop. I must say I was hesitant to go here for a few reasons (none of them great, to be honest). First, the name--I didn't get the connection between "arcade" and "coffee" (then again what does that matter). Second, the location: it's in an odd building that doesn't scream typical coffee shop, with restricted and unusual parking. After overcoming these nonsensical, self-created mental barriers, we walked inside and saw that this is a sophisticated operation with wonderful products, employees, and a truly unique experience. When we entered, we saw a very nice menu with pictures showcasing the drinks and highlighting what makes each one special. The barista was super casual and friendly. She asked over the counter if we had any questions and told us to let her know when we were ready. Her welcoming approach was perfect for first-time visitors. We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice matcha and the Cherry Glaze matcha. Both were delicious, and it was clear that quality is a major focus here. The matchas weren't overloaded with syrup like some places; instead, they tasted naturally infused--subtle, balanced, and perfect. For snacks, we tried the salmon bagel and the blueberry scone. Both were excellent. The bagel was fresh and packed with flavor, again showcasing quality ingredients. The scone was one of the best I've had from a coffee shop--it tasted like it came straight from a bakery. The blueberries were large and bursting with flavor, and the texture was ideal: not too hard, not too soft. It was just right. (They should name it "Goldilocks"!) In addition to coffee, matcha, and chai tea, they also offer craft sodas and other choices for any mood. We decided to enjoy our drinks and snacks inside. As we sat, we noticed they have their own bean-roasting machine (totally unique!). I've never seen one in person, but for coffee lovers who enjoy fresh roasts, this means they bring in green coffee beans, roast them on-site, and produce the freshest, highest-quality product possible. (You could say "they have the beans" -- a little Curb Your Enthusiasm reference for fans of the show.) Aside from having "the beans," they also had a projector showing the World Cup. There are plenty of seating options: tables with chairs, standing desks, sofas, and benches. We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven on Earth.

My wife loves the cheese cake blueberry one. In fact today leah (forgive me if I spelt your name wrong) made one from scratch after I had said my wife loves them. I'm not even a big doughnut person and I can say they are really good. Better than any run of the mill yum yums or krispy kreme. There aren't many mom & pop stores like this in riverside and it's great to see places like this opening and staying in business like this for over 6 years now. I personally love their coffee! My go to is a caramel macchiato. My wife has worked in countless coffee shops & even she thinks it's great. The espresso they use is amazing. The place is really clean and has a very chic atmosphere. I wish i took pictures but it has a really nice outside patio area. And they even serve alcohol. There is to much to say so i'll stop here.
