Came into town to see family im from san Antonio tx. We do breakfast big there, time but as it turns out not here or not in Scott. My family comes to this place fairly regularly but its not a (to me) a full service restaurant. The have coffee and sweets but thats about it. The a few options for a full (sort of) size breakfast but it was MEH very just ok. The service was very slow which didn't help the situation lol i was hoping for a steak and eggs breakfast but nope. Had some regular eggs and potatoes plate and it was ok. Had to keep looking for our waitress to refill coffee over it juat ok. read more

My kid and I were driving through Louisiana and decided to stop for coffee and found this place. Friendly atmosphere , gorgeous decor and super attentive staff. We got there before their rush and are glad we did. Food was delicious and priced fairly. Now this is coming from a California resident though so food prices were better than back home. If you are ever near this place it's a must stop. Great food and service and everyone was just so nice. read more

What an adorable town with a perfect place to stop for breakfast when traveling!!!! Cute little Coffee breakfast shop next to our Airbnb and on the train tracks. Lots of great options. The beignets were good nice and fluffy. The price is great too for all the food. Our family enjoyed everything we got. There is a wait in the morning if you plan on dining there. We did take out so we didn't eat there. Food and atmosphere is great. But the customer service is lacking. We walked in and Noone acknowledged us. We finally had to get their attention and they acted like we were cramping their style. This place was wonderful - small enough to feel cozy and pretty quiet, but large enough to host enough people. Went Sunday around 12pm so around church time and it was busy but ample seating. On line your menu shows a lunch menu.....after waiting for a table, ( with one cleared off and just sitting there, which we were finally seated out) only to discover since Covid they quit serving lunch menu items.....one would think they would update their website and probably update this site. This site still shows a lunch menu.....it's been over a year since Covid....oh and the breakfast, small portions,high prices...if you want breakfast go to Waffle House or Ihop. Loved this place. By the name I thought it was simply a coffee shop, but the have a large and filling menu of breakfast items. If you order pancakes be aware they a large and filling. Service was excellent and seating was quick, even for a busy Saturday morning. Great train depot theme next to the tracks in Scott. Go hungry, leave happy. read more

I love the ambiance but the food is lacking in flavor.... Very plain breakfast options. The best thing are the the beignets. Also they had decaf coffee but it was disgusting. The also only had liquid creamer as an option which for a coffee place I thought they would have better quality coffee and at least milk or half/half. read more

Ok, we loved this place. The ambience, the concept and especially the Christmas Village with the train running in the middle. What a unique idea. We order beignets for takeout and they were delish. I really, really like pancakes! However, by far the worst tasting pancakes I've ever had. Or more specifically, they had no taste. Pecan pancakes and only pecans had flavor. It's the place to go in Scott LA if you want coffee and breakfast! We were tourists but you could tell most of the people there were locals so you know the food had to be good! Everything about this place is cool. Great building in a train depot. Wonderful servers taking care of every customer with a smile. We always get the same thing- bite size beignets and box car breakfast. The beignets are always served piping hot with ample amounts of powdered sugar. Absolutely amazing food. The beignets are simply out of this world. Nice, light, fluffy and pillowy and sprinkled liberally with powdered sugar and they are freshly made. The grits and eggs with toast/biscuit goes awesomely with the boudin (French/Creole sausage crumbled with Cajun rice). The boudin is orders of magnitude better than the breakfast sausage option.
