Came here from a suggestion on Tiktok - I always pass by but never during the day, so I made it my business to finally try this coffee shop. I ordered an iced chai - it was good had the original chai flavor that I feel like a lot of coffee shops lack. It was spicyyyyyy! They have a lot going on - they make sandwiches, smoothies and according to other reviews- they have flavored coffee beans. 3 stars because the customer service was really lacking - i didn't even know they had flavored coffee beans!!! read more

Found myself at this nice coffee spot for a brief business meeting. The workers are thoughtful, patient, and kind. My co-diner hadn't even ordered anything and they kindly let them sit around. Eventually I arrived and got something for us both. The menu includes many options: healthy, sweet, smoothies, coffees, snacks, and more wholesome meals such as sandwiches. The place was busy, though mostly for drink orders , prices were high, so I expected something g really nice. What I ordered: a Chicky Chick chicken sandwich, on a toasted everything bagel, with mustard added to the sandwich, and a cappuccino. What a got: a very stale and COLD regular bagel, with no mustard added and a nice cappuccino. The chicken salad was generous in size but completely bland and dry - salty, but no spices or anything else added to liven it up and make it moister. Just a big bleh. Very impressed with this small nook of a coffee shop on the UES. The service here is really friendly, and they serve up a tasty cup o' joe. Coffee Inn was a spur of the moment experience on my way to Tasti D Lite! I decided I'd check it out because I hadn't heard of the company. It was busy inside but very well organized and with efficient customer service. I saw the price on the small drip coffee and decided to try it. It was a little bitter until I added two Sweet n Low and the instant creamer that I carry with me. After that I enjoyed sitting outside at one of the many bright colored tables and chairs. Everything was clean and I was comfortable. I highly recommend. Just remember the line gets long but it moves quickly. Most people are waiting for their orders to be prepared. The employees are hard at work. They have lots of pastry items if you're hungry. read more

Great coffee and food - but unfortunately they do not take food allergies seriously. Twice I have ordered a gluten free bagel and twice received a regular bagel. The first time, I took a bite and immediately double checked with the cashier. They assured me it was gluten free. I ate it and got sick. Second time I made the cashier check with the kitchen and they did - and came back and said it was not gluten free and they would remake it. Close call. I wish they would fix their systems, and train the entire staff on the seriousness of food allergies. Because their GF bagels are actually very good! But I'm too scared to eat there anymore. read more

This is a cute place that you almost wouldn't notice walking by but they have a few chairs and tables set up outside you can sit and sip your coffee. It's a small space inside so doesn't seem like even normally you would stay here long but they have a really cute interior with coffee beans you can purchase directly from them. I got a large americano and they asked me if I wanted milk in my mine and put it in directly rather than leaving room for it. I've never gotten an americano like that but liked that the milk was also warmed up. All I can say is WOW - best americano I've ever had. It was strong and flavors balanced well. I've gotten used to the sort of watered down americanos( which I don't mind just for comparison) and this was not at all what I was expecting -- in a good way. There's a lot of cafes in this area that I have on my list to explore but this is now a staple one that I will keep returning to. read more

We had an hour before my sons doctors appointment and decided to stop in at The Coffee Inn. Spent $30 on some snacks, drinks and subpar coffee. After a few minutes my kid had to pee. We asked the barista and he said normally they don't allow customers to use the bathroom, but that for a kid it should be fine. He went in the back and asked the manager, who, very firmly said no, and yelled at him for even asking. I had to gather our things, all the food and drinks we purchased and move to another coffee shop down the block who very kindly allowed my child to pee. Steer clear of this not so friendly and not so community based coffee shop. read more

I agree with my fellow Yelpers who gave Coffee Inn high marks. I stopped here in between my Manhattan errands to have an oatmilk white mocha latte. Say that three times fast! Ha! The flavoring definitely didn't overwhelm the delicious richness of the coffee. Top notch customer service! I just randomly walked in to get some regular iced chai tea & my bf got the spiced chai with soy. Both taste really good! You taste the spice but not too strong which I like. The person behind the counter name Dex is very friendly & he chit chat with us for a little bit. He suggested some drinks that we might like & explained it to us. Theirs this one lady that walks in & I observed that the person behind the counter know her & what shes going to get coz shes a regular customer in that cafe. How nice is that! Taste & customer service is very important to me thats why I'm giving this cafe a 5 star. The interior of this cafe is cute with some books that displays inside. I thank the coffee lords everyday that I am blessed enough to live across the street from this espresso haven. Not only are the prices unbeatable for the neighborhood, but they are so friendly and welcoming. I've seen them offer free coffee to so many people unable to pay and they know their regulars! They have delicious flavors of cold brew like Swiss chocolate almond and cookies and cream that I haven't seen anywhere else. Coffee Inn is truly a special place.
