Below average product and service. Parking sucks. They are in a condo building and if you sit outside people walk by to go into the condos and give you dirty looks. My absolute favorite hangout. It's one of the few places I will go out of my way to go to... it's really that great. The coffee is great, the staff is fun and energetic, and the art is worth drinking a few cups of latte to. Stopped at the Coffee Loft on the way up to New Hampshire for a conference. We were limited on time and I found the Coffee Lot on Yelp just in time. It was literally only about 5 minutes off the highway and it was super convenient for a quick on/off pit stop. The serve Jim's Organic Coffee as their choice of coffee on tap - very impressive. Jim's is solid coffee that comes in regular roasts as well as flavored (all naturally) and are about 15$/lb at WF - so this impressed me. They had delectible sounding latte options such as the maple one, I stuck with a black Jim's coffee however. The space is really what impressed me, located in a loft it has big bright windows and tall ceilings. The hallway near the bathroom boasted some pretty impressive and abstract artwork, which I found I wanted to bring several home! There is also a mini gallery in the loft as well. All in all I was thoroughly impressed by a off-the-whim stop in MA and I'm slightly sad this place is too far for a quick stop from home! Next road trip I'll be sure to stop back in. read more

Tried tirimisu and chocolate brownie. Both were great. Tirimisu was slightly different than traditional. Had more caramel flavor less rum tasting more dense but great. Brownie same - dense and really chocolatey. Ordered Samoa, and bee hive lattes. Not too sugary actually perfect hint of flavor. read more

This reminded me of the delicious coffee shops in the heart if Boston. The place itself has a lot of character. It reminded me if those cool city loft apartments I could never afford. I had an iced mocha and it was absolutely delicious! I also purchased a giant cookie for Big Love and ate some in the car - also delicious! The staff gave me a warm small town feel. They were so friendly. They have free WIFI and I can see myself hanging out there doing work and sipping a hot latte. I saw many other folks doing the same. Coffee and tea and munchies! Poetry and music and art! Every town and city needs a cool independent coffee shop! The music and poetry nights are really cool. It also looks like they are expanding their hours, which is a good thing. This the place I go to every week when I have "Mommy's Night Out to relax, drink an iced dirty chai and read a book or iPad (free Wifi!) I have also signed up for several sessions of their life drawing class, which is great. No instruction, but a relaxing session to draw models and no one cares how "good" you are. A Jem hidden in the outskirts of Marlboro. The atmosphere is relaxing, comfy couches, chairs, with local art. The coffee is top grade. Nothing better than a large cappuccino from the Coffee Loft on a cold day. My son enjoyed the hot chocolate and was grateful that it wasn't blistering hot like the one's served at other establishments. Nice place to kick back and relax. read more

I love this place. My sister and I have been trying to find a new place for coffee and this was one place we decided to try, since we had been there once before and enjoyed it. We went again and I had a chocolate mint brain freeze. It was delicious. After we sat down at the cozy seating place, we looked at the mad hatter gallery. Being an artist myself, I loved seeing all the local art. Even my sister who is not an artist loved the artwork. I suggest everyone comes here at least once and just try it. Definitely a fan of this place! It's a few towns over from where I live but I have no problem making the trip. The staff is great, the decor is cool and the coffee is awesome. Their baked goods aren't bad either. If I had one complaint it's that the specialty drinks haven't been changed in a while but I guess that's OK since the current options are pretty damn good. Cute, artsy place, but epic fail for vegans (it comes up on Yelp search for vegan breakfast.) Oatmeal is instant and has no flavor and they served it extremely dry even after bringing it back for more oat milk. Avocado toast was mediocre. The bread was something from a supermarket and was barely warmed, definitely not toasted. Avocado spread was fine and spinach was fresh. People were very friendly, just not sure they know much about food. Baked goods look good, but no vegan items there. read more

Part 2: tried this shop 3 more times and the coffee became more and more bitter and acidic each time I went. The last time I threw my coffee in the trash after the first sip. Prices for coffee are higher than Boston and NYC and I can't figure out why I had to wait for 20 min to order 1 coffee because it took 2 girls to wait on the customer in front of me and ring up her one coffee and cookie. Coffee Loft: a casual cafe delivering decent drinks and great service! I had a great experience at Coffee Loft. From the lady in front of us who kept dropping her change (and we kept helping her) to our chatty barista, Coffee Loft was just so dang....pleasant. This is a nice, quiet space for anyone looking to study or chat with friends. Our drinks weren't necessarily artisan (I can tell they use powder mixes for their drinks) but still very good. I LOVE their ice blended drinks. Our ice-blended Mocha Frappe was smooth, mocha chocolatey, and sweet. (Coffee Loft uses Big Train to make most of their products---this is a global powdered drink mix manufacturer. I quite like this brand, actually!) if you want a desserty frozen drink, THIS is the place to be! And my vanilla latte was good. While the espresso is a little weak, the latte was solid. read more

So cute, so cozy, so friendly. I really like this coffee shop. I had a delicious latte and a strawberry chocolate glazed (gluten free) donut. Both were so good and I am still on the sugar high. The donut was not partially glazed in chocolate, rather the whole donut was covered in a thick layer of delicious chocolate goodness. Downside is parking- there is hardly any. read more

I love this place. It's really a life savor as there are no other comparable coffee shops anywhere in the area or neighboring towns. Of course you can just stop in at a Dunkin if you just want a coffee fix but I like this place because it's an actually cafe with great seating and interior space with free wifi. The young lady who runs the place on weekday mornings is always super sweet. Sometimes I hang out for several hours doing work and they never seem to mind, which I am so thankful for. Funny thing I'm not much of a fan of their coffee, even though that is usually what I drink when I go there. But they have a whole slew of coffee, espresso, and tea drinks on their menu. And for food they have two or three types of quiches, bagels, croissants, tea breads. And around lunch time they have hot soups, pasta salad, and probably some other things I'm forgetting. If you want to shake up your mundane schedule if you are working or studying or just want to a place to grab a drink with your friends I'd really recommend this place! read more

The Coffee Loft is built into one of those charming old industrial buildings with high ceilings and brick walls. The cafe doubles as an art gallery providing the perfect atmosphere. There are couches and a chess board available for use. What really sets the Coffee Loft apart is the way they brew their coffee. They use pour over coffee filters, hand tamped espresso, and loose leaf tea. I learn something new about brewing every time I go there. I highly recommend the Coffee Loft. read more

I've been here four times now and have been really impressed each time. The coffee is clearly what matters most with a coffee shop, and their espresso drinks are top notch. (I can't comment on the iced coffee or regular coffee because I've never tried them.). The food offered could be a bit more robust, but both the muffins and croissants were excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I'm personally not a huge fan of the art they currently are displaying in the cafe, but the decor is very tasteful, and the fact that there is actually original artwork by local artists on the walls can't be beat. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, and I could see getting some studying or chatting done effectively. The cafe is adjacent to artists' studios, and it's a neat place to meet some of them as they pass through. read more

Love this place! It's a great space & usually very quiet. They have a great variety of coffee/tea, including brews from different countries. They usually have Ethiopian as their dark blend, which is one of my favorites. The only complaint I have is the parking! If you go around 10am or 2pm I have found it hard to find parking. I home roast my own coffee, so I guess I might be a little more fussy then the average coffee drinker. Having said that, my roaster has broken. I can't stand DD's and never got into the Starbuck's scene, so I didn't have many choices. I had seen the Coffee Loft several times driving by and stopped in one day. My first encounter really surprised me. I was taken by the music, the art and the welcoming layout of the place. I wasn't treated like someone who just stumbled in, but more like a returning customer who they were glad to see. I enjoyed the coffee and the chance to just sit and chat. I have returned several times and have also taken in both the "Poetry Slam" which they host on Thursday night and the live music that is featured on Friday night. These types of cutural offerings are new to both me and the City of Marlborough and I feel may take a short time to be discovered. Both are a welcome addition. Beyond this is also the artist community that resides there. During their grand opening the gallery and several of the artist studios were available for viewing. I didn't find any Monet or Renoir offerings, but I did see some very, very talented artists that offered their works for viewing and purchase. I truely hope that the gallery and studios will be open on a regular basis for the general public to see. All in all, I would say that the Coffee Loft is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, the city and my daily need for good coffee. read more
