went to the dewey beach location! it was clean, but small and snug. it was also hard to read the menu until you were right at the counter. it was definitely a cute store- even had self serve milks in the fridge for coffees. they have so many flavors of coffees and there is something for anyone. the employees weren't overly kind and welcoming but were not ever rude or abrupt. i got a latte with caramel and it was delicious. it wasn't cheap but not overpriced for beach coffee. i didn't get any food, but did notice some flies around the pastries, so maybe keep that in mind since they seemed to be unprotected. read more

Greatest and most friendly coffee shop in Rehoboth. Clean and welcoming with little trinkets for sale. Stop by for delicious pastries and a wonderful selection of coffee's. They will gladly grind your favorite blend so one can go home and entertain their neighbors. When the weather is nice, it is such fun to sit at their tables outside and if it is too chilly, you can sit in the creamery across from the Coffee Mill. Wish my experience was better! Terrible service and the coffee we all ordered was bland. We got the costa rican, toffee, hazelnut and chocolate thunder. Nothing great in my opinion and it took longer than usual coffee places. Guy who helped us wasn't too friendly and seemed like he really didn't want to be there. It's 8:28 a.m. I'm pre-coffee, so I know to be extra careful to treat people with kindness cause its not their fault I had 6 hours of sleep and drank my ass off last night. Unfortunately, the amazingly rude man minding the counter here doesn't have a similar code. Granted, the customer in front of me seemed mystified by the idea of exotic things like "latte" and "muffin" and asked the dumbest questions for 4 minutes. But I was all smiles with hello and my order. Me: Good Morning HIM: WHAT YOU WANT. (disclosure: seemed extra abrupt due to his russian accent) Me: medium caramel latte and plain crossaint please. Him: five dolllars Him to co-worker: MEDIUM CARAMEL LATTE AND PLAIN CROSSIANT. WAKE UP. YOU'RE TOO SLOW. Him to me: Move to side now. It was very Seinfeld Soup Nazi. After a brief wait during which he yelled at his coworkers and was rude to each and every customer. I got my latte, it was very weak. Never got my croissant. But I was so pissed off, I couldn't think of a way to approach his rude ass that wouldnt have ended up ugly. Sat outside and wrote this. PERFECT WAY TO START YOUR VACATION MORNING. Stopped in for an afternoon cup; the staff seemed flustered and some of the patrons in there were arguing with them before storming out. Not a good sign, but I decided to be nice and since I was ordering very simply we figured there wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately they couldn't even get the price right on just two small iced coffees. Apparently because my friend wanted the flavored coffee blend of the day on ice, we were charged an extra $1. Really? A dollar upcharge so you can give us less coffee than you would in a normal iced coffee? I don't get it. She was fine with watered down coffee but should we really be paying more for it? Seems they need a bit of a refresher on customer relations. Also the sugar/cream area was pretty dirty, and the place just was crowded and uninviting in general. I won't be back. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The food is overly expensive even for Rehoboth beach, the staff is rude, and the order was wrong. I know many businesses here in Rehoboth go under often, and it's surprising to me that this place hasn't joined them yet. Don't waste your time. I heard that this place has been around for years, and I love little hole in the wall coffee shops, so I decided to give it a go! We walked in an the owner, right off the bat, was EXTEMELY RUDE and unwelcoming. As we stood looking at the medu, he barked two times at us "what do you want." Was impatient when we ordered our drinks, and made fun of us when we gave him our food order(we weren't familiar with the menu.) The portions were so small. Not to mention, it was beyond extremely overpriced! Not worth the money and I have no idea how it is still open. Try Greenman Juice Bar a street over, they are reasonable priced and have much fresher, larger portions. The staff is so sweet at Greenman. read more

Now this is a great, charming shop. It is small in size and tucked away but it's a great find with organic coffees and Mel knows how to make a tasty drink. I'm visiting during the off-season and was in there during the morning into early afternoon chatting with another patron and doing my own work on the wifi. Mel also showcases his glorious collection of photography. He has extremely handsome model pictures and beautiful scenery and nature photos. I was impressed. Mel is also very sweet and endearing. Out of the few coffee shops I've tried in the area, his coffees are the tastiest. Make sure to get a frequent buyer card for your coffee purchase prices. Price is competitive. The Coffee Mill has been one of our coffee/breakfast traditions at Rehoboth for the past 6 summers that we've come. We are totally spoiled by Zeke's coffee (if you're from Baltimore, you know what I'm talking about) and have a hard time finding decent coffee when we travel, but we both agree that the Coffee Mill serves a good roast. The bagels and muffins are yummy too. As everyone has said, the shop is tight quarters, but the service is quick and they have lots of little wrought iron tables scattered along the alley to peacefully enjoy your breakfast. read more

First thing I thought upon entering, "Wow, it smells good in here!". A delicious smell fills the air. Owner was friendly. I asked him if is this is the place that Hoda Kotb of The Today Show comes to get her Coffee, he said yes. I ordered an Iced Latte made with Whole Milk to-go, which was pretty good. Young lady Barista was nice and worked good. Like most have said, the place is tucked inside a passageway, which makes it a wonderful discovery. I'll definitely be back when in area. read more

Absolutely the biggest disappointment in our trip! Took over 30 minutes to get 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 hot mochas- ($30) add that to the 30 minute metered parking ... and the order taker was RUDE and making snide remarks to customers- NEVER coming back to this place - ever! read more

Went here and got an iced mocha and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll tasted great and was at a nice temperature. I'm not that technical or knowledgeable when it comes to coffee but the iced mocha I got was really good. Overall it was a nice place to go to. read more

Stopped here for a quick cup of coffee midday. It wasn't busy but the employees almost seemed bothered to help us. The iced coffee and coffee was pretty bad. But the smoothie was ok. Owner was not nice. I was standing in front of the counter and he yelled next like he was the soup nazi from Seinfeld. I was literally standing right in front of the counter. He took my order. Just a small vanilla cappuccino with avacado toast with a fried egg on top. Charged me freaking 16.50$!! I said 16$?! He says yeah you know I have to pay my rent girrrll! I w been here 28 years and we've been closed the past 6 months. (This was all with attitude.) I understand that, but seriously? Then he put in my coffee order wrong to top it off. I was here before and was unimpressed with the coffee, but I'll give a second chance, but this time their service was rude and I won't ever come back. No matter how cute of a place it is. If he's been open for 28 years I would think he'd be nice to his customers. For those of you who think I'm blowing this up, rude service is an extreme pet peeve of mine. Great coffee but the service isn't great. When multiple people order at busy times they get overwhelmed and mix up orders. This morning they had a few mix-ups and when people asked about their orders the manager/owner barked orders to move out of the way of the small window they deliver drinks and they'll let us know when our drinks are ready. Unfortunately they got confused and gave the wrong drinks to two different people this morning. Again mistakes happen but when a customer told them again the person they were calling they had already given him a drink, the manager/owner got upset and literally walked around the service table, opened the door and told the customer to leave. Pretty embarrassing for someone in the service business to lose their cool and act that way. read more

I read about the Coffee Mill from social media and thought I would give it a try yesterday. I was very disappointed. The banana nut muffin was stale and dry and the coffee was average at best. Great coffee, not the greatest service. But the coffee really makes up for it. I think it was the owner who greeted and took care of us. Seems like a nice guy, but a bit rough and wasn't very welcoming. We asked some questions about what some of the items mean, and he pointed to a poster under the register for us to find the answer (unfortunately the poster didn't have the explanation either). Shrugging that aside, the coffee was good. They have a large selection of coffee here, and many are quite unique. A lot of the beans are flavored, not our favorite. We went with the house milder brew, and it was just perfect. Condiment bar was well stocked, and milk was kept cold in the fridge. The atmosphere of the place was really nice too. Very local-vibe! I love how cozy and dark it is, and the smell of coffee sticks on you fairly quickly. Though we wish that we get better service around here, I think we'll come back for the coffee. The location is convenient, and the coffee is good. Just get in, and get out! read more
