What I must say about this place the options that they provide are out of this world! They offer pastries, dessert sandwiches, chips... literally all of the things! There's coffee, seasonal and traditional - tea, hot chocolate! I came on a Saturday afternoon and I must say they were extremely busy . The place was filled with people from all various generations and walks of life! There were families that met at the community table that bonded over coffee and lunch, there are some that are students in the singular seats working, families, and friends gather sharing for the holiday season. I ordered a Christmas tree cake latte - Tis the season!

Definitely will be my go to coffee shop when in Portsmouth! Their coffee beverages are delicious! Staff is super friendly. The ambiance is welcoming with lots of seats and even blankets for furry babies! They even partner with their business neighbor Hello Sweetie bakery to offer 10% discount.

The Coffee Shoppe never disappoints! I love their specialty drinks. My favorite is the Raspberry Mocha, but I have more I want try like the Caramel and Vanilla, and Peanut butter specialty drink. Service is excellent! They really care about their customers. Place is cozy and clean. Bathrooms were clean and nice. I could have stayed there all day which we kind of did until closed . Love you Coffee Shoppe!

This is our go to breakfast spot to hit before going to the Children's Museum. Everything in their menu is scrumptious, from the coffee creations to the breakfast bowls & lunch wraps. The Chocolate Chip Muffin is dangerously good & stuffed with warm, melty chocolate chips. The service is great & there is plenty of seating indoors & outdoor.

Creamy Caramel Coffee

Came in for the coffee, left with a book and a bagel. Really relaxed and funny environment, and I can tell there's a real community here. Bagel was super delicious, with good proportions. I really enjoyed the barista, and the chef's work.

This is our second time visiting, and we are definitely I'm impressed with the food and the smoothies. The staff is always very friendly, even the cooks in the back as well! I forgot to take a picture of my husband, chicken wrap, but he really enjoyed it. The bread and the cheese, the meats, everything in between is always very fresh. The smoothies are also very fresh, decent size for the price. You can also get chips and a drink. We want to come back for breakfast sometime too! The bathrooms are clean, and for the most part tables in the area to eat is also clean. They have a few tables outside as well to eat. Every time we are inside, there's always tons of people. It's located right in the historic district, downtown Portsmouth. If you have not checked it out yet, head on over!

Stopped here after a cruise headed back home. if I could give it 10 stars I would. I got an apple cinnamon bagel sandwich with ham, egg, & cheese, and there are not words to describe the experience I had with how delicious it was. The coffee shop was booming with locals, but it still was not a long wait whatsoever, I was in & out in under 10 mins (with the line out the door). Recommend, do your taste-buds a favor and eat here (.)

Excellent coffee shop! Such a cute little coffee shop, with outstanding service and food. Keto friendly with 2 bowls, a veggie and a meat lovers. They were delicious. We dined in and the personal touches made you feel at home. Highly recommend!

The Coffee Shoppe was such a cute spot in downtown Portsmouth. The staff was so friendly and greeted regulars by name as they came in. The coffee was great, and the food was delicious. I'm so glad we decided to try it out, and we'll definitely be back again!

Came here for a quick breakfast and caffeine fix prior to driving back to Alexandria. Their coffee was superb! I got one of their specials - an almond coconut chocolate iced latte. I was a little scared it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it was perfect. Tasted like a toned down almond joy with coffee! Indoor decor was so fun. I took some time to look at the local art on the walls, love the support for local artists. The barista was so helpful in recommending breakfast items and the service was fast. Definitely will stop back by if I'm in the area!

However, since the reopening they went so downhill I can't even believe that it's the same place. We arrived and they were busy, we grabbed a table and the staff came over we got coffee. Then we ordered, while waiting we had to get there attention to get more coffee which in a busy place is no big deal. When the food came over the waitress said can I get you anything else? I said how about some utensils to eat with? She left and never came back! Thank God we got spoons for the coffee or we would have had to eat with our hands!!!! Extremely disappointed, the staff was walking around but no utensils came? Then I got up to pay and the prices must have gone up without them putting it on the menu? If you decide to go, i wish you luck! As for me if I plan on spending over $30 for breakfast I will be doing it someplace else. I can't believe in the times we live in where the prices are so out of hand when you decide to spend the extra money to go out, it should be worth it!

I ordered a 10 oz drink for $7.99, which honestly feels a bit steep for the size--especially for something you finish in a few minutes. That said, the juice itself was actually very good. Fresh, clean flavors, and it tasted like quality ingredients were used. No complaints at all on the product--just the value. Overall, it's a solid option if you're looking for something healthier than typical airport food, but be prepared to pay airport pricing. Good juice, tough price point.

This came from their Ghent location which is different than the usual location I order from (VB TownCenter) I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel and a creamy caramel coffee. Since I am gluten free, I ordered it with a gluten free bagel and also added avocado cream cheese. I will say this, it's not the best gluten free bagel HOWEVER I have learned that if I add a cream cheese to it, it helps with the texture of the bagel. (just a helpful hint!) The sandwich was great, it got to me still warm which is an accomplishment in this cold weather snap we had. I have no complaints. The coffee was different than what I normally order but it was DELISH! And they wrote the nicest comment on it. I'm sad I didn't take a picture but it actually was enough to make me smile. We don't order from here that often, and never this location but NO complaints and I will be ordering here again. I hope to visit this location as well soon :)

Sarah and Erin greeted me with such great energy that they instantly made me want to come back and become a regular. I had to take a moment to look around because the entire place has an incredible aesthetic and vibe. Then I ordered an iced double espresso with cream, and it was absolutely out of this world. It was so good that I ended up buying a whole bag of coffee to take home. I got the Main Street Espresso, and it has amazing notes of chocolate and berry--smooth, rich, and delicious. The staff also recommended the food, so I ordered the chorizo burrito. Honestly, that's what pushed me to write this review. It was incredible. This place nailed everything: the atmosphere, the coffee, the food, and the people. I'll definitely be back--possibly as soon as tomorrow!

Date of Visit: Tuesday, March 3…read more Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones you aren't looking for. I was actually on my way to Chelsea Bakehouse when I happened upon Vessel, and I am so glad I did. The Atmosphere: A Coffee Lover's Dream The second I walked in, I was hooked--they have their own roaster right there in the shop. There's something special about a small business that roasts its own beans rather than pulling bags off a shelf. You can tell they take the craft seriously, and as someone who has been diving deep into the world of small-batch roasting lately, it was an immediate win. The Order: Off-Menu Customization I decided to go off-script. I saw a Brown Sugar Espresso on the menu but was really in the mood for something chilled, so I asked for a Brown Sugar Cold Brew. The barista (I didn't catch her name, unfortunately!) was fantastic. She was incredibly informative about their coffee profiles and didn't hesitate to customize my drink. We even chatted about the roasting process--I'm really hoping they follow through with the idea of hosting classes on different beans and roasting techniques in the future! The Verdict The Taste: The cold brew itself was excellent. The brown sugar flavor was subtle and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. It let the quality of the coffee shine through. The Kick: Whatever they're roasting works. That cold brew hit the spot and kept me alert and productive for the rest of the day. Vessel was well worth the detour. If you're a fan of fresh, house-roasted beans and staff who actually know their stuff, this is a must-visit. I'll definitely be returning.

It's not a sit down restaurant, it's more of a huge kiosk. There are few tables and chairs around though. I've had coffee here twice, and surprisingly, their plain $1.90 medium coffee was better than the fancy $5 espresso drink that I had last time! They provide a couple of different flavored (Coffee Mate) creamers and milk (self serve, and on the side.) They offer coffee, different Espresso drinks like macchiatos, cappuccinos, the usual. Their bagels are bomb though. Ask for them to toast it... it's got the perfect chew, and is still soft. I hate a stiff (too tough) bagel! My total today for a medium coffee, which I added French Vanilla creamer to, & toasted bagel with cream cheese was $5.10! Pleasant surprise. I already took $7 out of my wallet, thinking it would be that much. I'll just get this again next time. Good deal! (Hopefully there won't be a next time visit though.)
