Great replacement restaurant for the Broadway that used to be there. Cuisine has a cuban flare to it and some innovative sandwiches. I would highly recommend for lunch. Love the Committed Pig. We've eaten breakfast and dinner here and both times the food has been great. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious with nice portion sizes. Can;t go wrong with Taylor Ham. Loved the individual coffee thermoses. We had burgers for dinner and again they did not disappoint. Love the fact that this is a byob. Servers were great and the atmosphere has a hip vibe. I stayed at the Inn on Main on a recent Business trip and walked over to the Pig for some Dinner. The waitress recommended the Fish Taco mainly because of the Corn Pudding. Forget the Tacos (which were good in their own right), the Corn Pudding was to Die FOR!!!!!!! read more

The food is so delicious, I have gone several times and their specialty burgers never fail to disappoint. However the service is pretty awful, the servers always seem overwhelmed and have taken over 10 mins to greet our table on multiple occasions. If the waitstaff were more focused I think it would really enhance there performance and customer satisfaction. read more

Tried it for the first time, and thought I'd try something simple. Pork Roll and cheese. For $10 I thought it would have been better. I could only eat a 1/3 of it because the roll was saturated in so much butter that it made my stomach sick. The pork roll was burnt and a little too crispy for my taste. Overall, I was not impressed. I have had much better PR sandwiches for half the price. I think I'll stick with Max Devros! read more

Terrific grilled cheeses at The Committed Pig today. Loved the menu, atmosphere, and our server was spot on. Enjoyed the presentation of the grilled cheeses in the "pans" with the "newspaper" lining. Sweet potato fries were delicious. Iced tea in mason jars reminded me of the south. Looking forward to returning to try other items on the menu. The food is amazing!! They always seen a bit confuzzled and it's hard yo have more than two people.... Forget note than 4 because you'll have to wait for a seat because the place is so small. Went for breakfast on a winter Sunday morning. Service was prompt, polite and efficient. "Chicken and the Pig" omelet was very good, as was the accompanying bacon. Pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich was also very good. The hash browns, however, were pathetic... deep fried patties like one would get at a fast food outlet. We went for dinner. My sandwich wasn't bad, but it was a little greasy. It took the waiter a very long time just to bring water, and we felt as though we were being rushed out the whole time. The most incredible comfort food money can buy!! I'd pay double the prices on the menu because to be honest the food is just that worth it... and I am a foodie at heart! The burger's here are delicious. The Illy Dilly burger is like a gourmet McDonald's Big Mac!.... OMG they quite literally melt in your mouth. The baked mac and cheese is a burst of gooey goodness in your mouth. The grilled cheese with tomato soup combo is also one of my favs. I like to teach my daughter to dip her sandwich into her soup. This place is great for families and my daughter actually asked me if we could go back the other day. Service and excellence with a smile. I wouldn't usually take the time to write a review but I was poking around on here and stumbled over some of the other reviews and they just didn't do this place justice. I have been here several times as my family has a shore house nearby. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to service AND food wise. I suppose every place has it's off day, but every time I go there I leave with my "barriga genna y corazon contento".--A Colombian phrase that my husband always uses after a good meal that means "full belly, happy heart". wow! what a horrid place! the prices are outrageously high for the most average portion sizes I have ever seen. In addition, if you want to substitute sides they add on ridiculously high fees to do so. For example, I substituted my bacon for french fries and received a $4 substitution fee when the bill came at the end of the meal! We were there twice last weekend. We went on Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner and then again on Sunday morning morning for an after church breakfast. I have no complaints about the food or service. My compliant is the billing system. Both times we were denied the full change! It seems that the Committed Pig is committed to keeping any change (coin) from a cash payment. On Saturday I thought it was an oversight by Sunday I was convinced it was something else. Both times I asked for the full amount of change to be handed to me. Both times the staff looked sheepishly returning it. When I questioned the hostess on Sunday morning I was told " other places do this......we keep the change and round up your bill to the nearest dollar" . The total for the two meals was over a dollar in coin change. I explained this is stealing from a customer. This week it has been disclosed that Chipolte also practices this so their staff won't handle change........this must be the new dumbing down of America where no can make change or has learned how to add, subtract or count! Look at your check next time you are there......we are supporting a new business and getting ripped off at the same time! read more

my wife and i were excited to finally have time to make it down to manasquan to try out this place. when we walked in there was only about 5 tables left and it was monday afternoon. so i got pretty excited thinking wow for a monday and this packed already this is going to be good! and then it went downhill. no exaggeration in the following story, we sat down at exactly 11:35. at 11:42 a table behind us was seated and drinks were ordered for that table. 11:51 and still no greeting from the waitress. 12:03 and a second table for a party of three was seated by hostess and waitress immediately followed. 12:08 table behind us gets food. 12:15 table three is seated directly next to us by hostess. 12:19 table three is greeted by the waitress and a drink order is taken. it was at this exact moment we got up to walk out. having been walked passed by the waitress numerous times we had given up. once we went to walk out the hostess asked if there was an issue and we explained the issue and the response was, "well have a nice day" either she just blankly stared at us with out listening or she just didnt care. im going with both. employees should be focused on their jobs and not their cell phones. read more
