I really really really wanted to give this place 5 stars because their food is just over the top delicious and their service is usually great. However, I docked them a star because they ask offer to cook their burgers rare or medium but every time I order a burger, it comes out well done. That being said, their burgers are a mixture of brisket, short rib, and hanger steak and I promise you've never tried such a delicious mixture. Not only are they delicious, but also creative- my favorite is the burger with Brie cheese, bacon, and fig jam. The burgers fall apart pretty easily so get ready to get your hands dirty. Along with the burgers, you get a choose of regular/sweet potato fries or regular/sweet potato waffle fries. Both waffle fries are great. You'll definitely end up overly stuffed but glad you went. read more

There are a lot of great dishes here and some that missed the mark. I recently went here for brunch and then dinner. For brunch, my friend and I split the beet salad and mushroom/spinach omelet. The salad was great, generous portion and delicious. The omelet was good too but just overcooked so it had that sort of burnt eggy taste. I don't know how to describe it but it spent too much time on the pan. It's served with a crispy and tasty hash brown and toast. The hash brown is not healthiest thing in the world (reminded me of McDonald's hash brown) but a good splurge. For dinner, my son had the cheeseburger and fries, which he loved, and were served hot and fresh. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup that was tangy and creamy. I really enjoyed the soup and almost wanted another serving. The grilled cheese was oily, kind of like it was already cooked and they re-heated it with more oil. I couldn't get into it. Such a cute hole in the wall restaurant that is BYOB and has an unlimited menu of options! From pancakes to french toast to eggs to sandwiches to burgers I did not know what to choose. Fries were crisped and crunchy and burgers were done really well. I liked that the salad actually had other veggies besides just the usual lettuce that side salads are. The brie and fig burger was a unique sweet flavor but not too overbearing and you can sub any burger for turkey or veg! The service was exceptionally fast- food came in less than 10 min. Our group of four arrived sunday around 3PM. There was no line, and they told us it would be 15 minutes for a table, so we ordered food to go. As we signed our receipt, a table outside opened up. Even though there was still no line, they refused to seat us by saying that "the food was already being packaged". It ended up taking 10-15 more minutes. The take out bags did not include utensils until we noticed and asked for them, and also didn't include ketchup for the hash browns and fries (though I saw them grabbing ketchup packets for other orders). They did let us use their restroom while we waited, which was great. We ate across the street in the park, which was pleasant. The pork roll was a sandwich with a stack of ham slices, and a bit too salty. Did not feel like they were committed to the pork... The waffle fries were quite good, but really could have used ketchup. In retrospect, the cheesesteak food truck at the park would be a better bet. read more

As a [self-proclaimed] taylor ham connoisseur, I'd say this place is the bomb dot com. The servers are always friendly and I love the small, rustic atmosphere. While admittedly a little pricey for what's essentially diner food, you're getting what you pay for -- the portions are ENORMOUS (all the burgers come with two paddies, standard) and the food is always delicious. I know the orange juice is especially pricey, but I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best orange juice I've ever had in my life. This is a great spot for a boozy brunch with a few friends or a casual meal. There was a decent wait, and we walked around until we found a little liquor store to pick up a bottle of wine since it's BYOB - yeah, we're classy like that. That was a couple of years ago, and with that positive memory in tow we decided to stop in again before a show at the Mayo. The first time I had the Burgernut (delicious meat smushed between a glazed donut bun). It was amazing and yummy and so super greasy. In an attempt to be different, this time I tried the Burger of the Week and wasn't disappointed. The Loaded Potato Burger was enough for two meals, and left my tummy super satisfied. For those wondering, the Loaded Potato Burger had two beef patties, a hashbrown, sour cream, chives, and onions. Paired with waffle fries and a pint of beer (we brought our own since it's BYOB), everything was nearly perfect. Better yet, there was absolutely zero wait on a Thursday night in January. Recommendation - give it a try, but try to avoid the weekends if you want to be seated right away. visited this place for the first time. The people working here are very annoying. I ask the girl at the desk to NOT sit me and my two teenage children by the door because it's freezing out. She sat us there anyway and said that's all the seating that's available because of social distancing. She clearly had an attitude. You could see seats everywhere. I later told her it was very uncomfortable sitting by the door that I felt the very cold breeze every time someone comes in or goes out. She offered to move us to the "back" in the middle of eating. Some people are just spiteful and horrible. That's how I felt. Everything is not RACE motivated but we, as the only black folks in the restaurant are sitting by the door where it's FREEZING. We really wanted to like this place, really, we did but words cannot even begin to express how disgusting the food at this place was today. We came here because all of the reviews raved about how good the food was--top notch burgers made with Pat LaFrida beef... well, the reality of it is that the burgers were GREASY--not juicy--and thin like a McDouble cheeseburger (which by the way would have tasted better and cost $1). The burgers themselves were flavorless without some sort of condiment or salt and pepper. They were so greasy that the bun was soggy and falling apart. Believe me, we're not food snobs or anything, this was simply disgusting. We hand sanitized our faces until we could get home and use soapy water and had some Tums after leaving here. Stopped here last minute to enjoy some lunch with my boyfriend. There was a 30-45 minute wait for the table so we walked around until our table was ready (40 minutes later). We started with the fried pickles and it was definitely the right choice. There was a good amount of pickles, batter was thin and even and the dressing was delicious. I ordered the Fig-N-Brie grilled cheese. It was very good, a balance of savory and sweet and came with a side of fries that were eh. I don't know how filling the sandwich would be without the appetizer but I was full! My boyfriend ordered the Pig Mac. Really disappointed in our brunch experience today. My first choice was the fig and Brie grilled cheese but I was told that they didn't have any fig jam. Ok... so I opted for the croque madam which is supposed to come with a fried egg. My husband choose a good morning burger that is also supposed to come with a fried egg. The food came pretty fast (one positive) but both sandwiches came with scrambled eggs plopped on top. When we questioned it, the waitress said that they ran out of real eggs so only has liquid eggs and if we wanted, we could send it back and order something else. We asked why they didn't tell us up front. She said that she didn't know until the food came out. We decided to just keep our food instead of having to start over but the woman next to us told us that they let them know ahead of time. Very frustrating and just disappointing and the food didn't taste the same either with the scrambled eggs that fell right off the sandwich. I know that it is more costly to do so but both eggs and fig jam can be purchased at the Kings down the street. It's their business decision but a happy customer comes back. I was meeting my brother in Morristown and we choose this restaurant for lunch for it's convenience and the menu. I am very glad we did. We were sat relatively quickly and the food came out fast. We started our meal with the gravy fries which were absolutely delicious. He had a fig burger which he loved and I had an avocado grilled cheese which I had never tried, but is now my new favorite kind of grilled cheese. Attempted to come here on a Friday night for dinner since I had this place bookmarked for a while but the wait was too long, decided to try again on a Thursday night and there was no wait! Definitely come during non-peak hours if you want to try it out. Our server was so friendly and the food came out relatively quick. We ordered the Chipotle Bacon Burger and the Jalapeno Popper Burger with a substitution of dinner appetizers (for a few bucks more) instead of fries - we got the Pig Fries and Mac & Cheese. The burgers were excellent - very tasty and juicy. I was very pleased with the quality of the meat - it's a blend of hanger steak, short rib and brisket. The Pig Fries were to die for! However, we weren't too crazy about the mac and cheese, it was good but we've had better. The Pig Fries are waffle fries drenched bacon and gravy... need I say more? I really do want to come back very soon, but I'm a little scared. The food is excellent but it put us in one of the biggest food comas afterwards. I asked for a beer menu and was told, we don't serve beer but its BYOB. (I would have stopped if I knew.. ) The menu touts the burgers are made from a Pat LaFrieda blend. Interesting, lets get to blending my burger! I ordered the Chipotle-Bacon burger. The burger has Muenster cheese and chipotle bacon mayo. Along with a side of waffle fries makes this one great dish! My only issue? (Besides serving no beer....) was the onion ring that topped my burger was so over cooked. It was actaully a rock hard! Was on a long weekend road trip through NJ. Looked up a place to go before leaving and found this place. Wow. With the proliferation of "upscale" fast food burger joints (5 guys, Bobby Flay, Smashburger, shake shack, etc), burgers have become trendy. But none of those places can even come close to this place's burger patty. Wow. So good. My chipotle burger was excellent, and my friend literally did not speak while eating his jalapeno burger--it was that good. My wife loved her brie burger and the garlic grilled cheese was also a hit. The omelet wasn't a hit for my friend, but that's more because she ordered the least of all evils (she was hoping for a more healthy menu). My wife tried a piece of her omelet and she liked it, for what it's worth. Almost forgot: the deep fried oreos in red velvet batter. (Note, not red velvet oreos, but regular oreos deep fried in red velvet batter. I make this distinction because Oreo has a red velvet oreo cookie that's quite gross). These oreos were phenomenal.
