Half the women's bathrooms were out of order. Family's coming in with lots of little children and only two women stalls working?? How hard is it to get your plumbing up and running!

Before leaving lovely downtown Greenville on a beautiful Monday afternoon, I met up with 2 of my friends for lunch at The Commons. It's so cute! There's a parking lot, which is a huge plus. There's huge playground next to it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I love that it's bright and airy. There are a several options for food. We chose Methodical, which many people had told me about over the last 2 days being in G'ville. One of my friends and I had the avocado toast, and our other friend had the smoked salmon smorrebrod. The avocado toast was super delicious and I was told so was the salmon smorrebrod. The drinks were delicious too. I loved the vibe at The Commons. Cool place to hang out alone or with friends. Nice change of scenery to get some work done. I loved it.

Bridge over the stream that parallels Swamp Rabbit Trail in Unity Park

This is a nice place to stop along the Swamp Rabbit trail just past Unity Park if you need a nice cold beer or select from a variety of food vendors. I ordered a couple of craft beers from The Community Tap that were about average. Their soft pretzels were pretty amazing though.Friendly service , but it's all about the beautiful view seated on the deck outside and watching people walking by on the trail.

My family and I went to The Commons with family this past weekend on Saturday. The park is amazing and huge! As you get to the par lot it was a challenge to find a spot for a few minutes but we finally did. We walked in and we saw a lot of places to go and choose the food that you wanted. Awesome choices. Indian foods, spanish food, bbq ect...We sat outside and enjoyed the day! Highly recommend.

Great variety of food and beverage situated next to a river and park that is a superb utilization of recreation and "common" space. If we lived in this town, we be here all the time.

I am SO excited that Clare's Creamery now has a permanent spot in the commons in downtown Greenville! Open from 4pm-9pm seven days a week. I hadn't tried Clare's ice cream before, but everyone kept saying it was their "favorite." So here I am! You can get a junior (one scoop) for $3.50 too, which is super reasonable for the downtown area. There are only about 6 flavors as this is a pop-up location in the evenings, but I tried cookies and cream and Reese's peanut butter cup in vanilla. Both were creamy and had a very smooth texture. The peanut butter one had full peanut butter cups in it and the cookies and cream looked like straight chocolate ice cream because of how many cookie chunks it had. And I am SO here for that!! Staff was super nice and it was the perfect way to cool off during the ridiculous 100 degree heat wave we've been experiencing. Can't wait to go back!

The Commons Greenville, SC is located at Unity Park. It has a food court, specialty shops and office space. I was treated to lunch for my birthday on my first visit. Food options include Automatic Taco, it use to be a food truck, but has been at the Commons since 2019. Serving fresh tacos, snacks, drinks and some sweets. Their food truck is parked at their spot at the Commons. Food option #2 is Bake Room a bakery serving breads and pastries. Food option #3 GB&D/Golden Brown and Delicious is American cuisine like burgers friend chicken sandwiches, mac and cheese and fries. Drink options include The Community Tap and Methodical Coffee. The Community Tap is a beer and wine store. Methodical Coffee also has a full menu serving food and gourmet freshly roasted coffee. The Commons is a nice place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, a snack or dinner with free wifi.

I will say the commons it a great place to bring your out of towners. Across the parking lot they have a nature preserve. My in-laws really enjoyed it. Once you make it across the parking lot you get to strolls from one establishment to another. Ordering beers and snack. It's also along swamp rabbit tail and you get eyes on the river which is also beautiful. It was packed for the holidays and was just a good time.

Second time I've been here and both times have been awesome and I always leave saying how good it is and how big the portions are. Let's be real, a good burger is expensive these days... So if I'm paying $16 for a burger I'm looking forward to a decent sized, tender burger. Perfect burger sauce, crunchy Bibb lettuce, and a huge side of fries. Cute industrial interior with lots of open space and seating both inside and out. I like that they have different food/drink vendors so you and whoever you're eating with can get whatever they are in the mood for... I'm pretty sure all the vendors are order at the counter and you get a table # card so they can bring the food out to you. Food came out swiftly and the drinks were great! Overall such a good lunch experience.

Loved this place while visiting Greenville! Everything we tried was really good! Great coffee at Methodical, delicious pastries at Bake Room, we had a AM bun, croissant and peach cream pastry. The taco place was delicious as well! My favorite taco was the Korean pork belly! Get it you won't regret it, it was so flavorful and the pork belly was cooked perfectly. The fish taco with mango pico was delicious as well. Love the outdoor seating area, drink selections and the fact that there's a trail you can walk there and a beautiful playground for the kiddos!

A nice local ice cream store that's great for a family outing…read more Clare's is in a small convenient area on East North Street. This good ice cream shop is in proximity to other restaurants that's ideal for dessert after a meal. Personally, I'd go in the summer time after a haircut (Julio's best barber in Greenville). Prices aren't bad at all. In 2025, anytime you can get ice cream for well under $10 is a win in my book. Quality of ice cream is good. Not the largest variety, but they have a seasonal menu. The honey lavender flavor is one of my favorites and one that I'd get the next time I go back. My only complaint is one time I went and they closed at 8:20pm when the sign says they close at 9pm. Perhaps it was a one time thing that it happened. Every time I've been, I've consistently seen young family present with their children. If you're looking for a family orientated place with well priced ice cream, this place is for you.

We came in as a party of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream here. The entire space is clean, cute with simple but aesthetically pleasing decor, and the service here was great. We got a variety of sundaes to single and double scoops in waffle cones, sugar cones and in a cup. My sister and I shared the Banana Split and it was truly my favorite Banana Split in a long while. There really is nothing you cannot love at Clare's Creamery!

A woman called us to the other end of the counter and took our order...finally. Our drinks were mediocre and overpriced - plus my husband's hot latte was served iced. It wasn't even busy! Although it's a cavernous space, one man decided it was his office and was making a lot of sales calls, so we were treated to hearing that unless we moved to the back side of the business. Next time, we'll save a few bucks (and our sanity) and go to Starbucks across the street! We like to support local businesses, but this was abominable.

Then I sat down to do some work, one of the staff was talking so loudly and complaining about work and cursing etc... that I had to finally just get up and leave. His voice was so loud, shrill and inappropriately loud for an employee that it was hard to concentrate . He was so loud over the rest of the staff that customers around be were putting in their earphones to drown him out. Didn't seem to be a manger on site unless that was the person in charge, which would explain the lazy, uninspired vibe of the staff. At least the coffee was hot.
