We had a real mess when the public sewer line broke and raw sewerage came up through our toilet. It was a disaster! The Contents Specialists carefully sorted, photographed, packed and stored everything that could be saved. They took the remainder away. David was very nice to work with.....everybody was nice! We had a very difficult time dealing with the Sewer District's insurance carrier. As I read some of the critical reviews it seems that many of the problems are related to insurance coverage. We had a flood, I ended up throwing out more things then I should have! Boxes were mixed wet stuff turned to mold in their boxes. Look for a professional company this is not it! I will leave a 1 star because you have to. Billing takes 2 weeks to return calls. read more

I would truly not recommend this company to anyone. In January 2019, a tree fell on our home, damaging our bedroom and living room. Contents specialists responded rather quickly, but the entire experience with them afterwards was a nightmare. We were out of our home for 10+ months, and had to ask on multiple occasions for a list of items that were deemed total loss so we could ask for reimbursement from our insurance company. We received a list back with only a lampshade deemed as a total loss. I had to actually ask, "how did you possibly clean asbestos and ceiling material out of our mattress?" So then, they added our mattress to the list. We were under the impression just those two items were total losses and everything else could be cleaned. Fast forward to us moving back in last week (October 14). The delivery guys come one day for 4 hours and get some of the furniture moved back in. Then, they inform us that our entire entertainment center hadn't been cleaned and needed to go back for cleaning. They assured me all would be returned next week clean and in tip top shape. They also informed me our couch and box spring was a total loss. I'm not sure why the delivery guys had to let us know that, and why it took 10 months to add our couches to the list of total loss items. We had to call the office and request this update. They then show up this week 3-4 hours late and all of the remaining furniture that wasn't ruined by insulation was broken by them. Our dresser, entertainment center, our headboard, and various other smaller items. See attached photos. Of course, none of our exact furniture is in stock any more so we send over links to similar items purchased at the same store. They proceed to argue with us that the ones we sent over are too expensive and want to compromise. We paid 500+ for our entertainment center and they offered us 149.00. Keep in mind they were supposed to 1. Keep our stuff safe. 2. Deliver it to our home. 3. Provide us with a comprehensive list of damaged items. 4. Put our furniture back together. They did none of that. And are now trying to cheap us out of money. Not taking into account that we will now have to spend additional time and money to shop for new furniture, pay for it out of pocket since we have to move in this weekend, rent a truck to haul the stuff or pay delivery fees, and assemble it ourselves. We now have to miss work to try and furnish our entire home since our temporary lease ends this weekend. So here we are on move-in weekend, no furniture, no reimbursement money from our insurance (because they waited until the last possible second to tell us what was actually damaged), and no money from contents specialists. They are supposedly repairing our dresser and there is no expected return date we are aware of. Still no word on when and if we can expect a check for our other items. I am so disappointed in this experience and can't help but feel like we were treated like garbage during a time when we were displaced from our home overnight with no belongings. They took all of our money and have not been prompt regarding a response to our rightful reimbursement. I hope nobody experiences the loss of access to a home, but if you do, you would be better storing your shit in someone's garage. read more

Content Specialist were hired by Restoration 1 of Bonney Lake to pack up my house after a house fire. They did a good job of packing up my house. I watch them the first day they were here to see how the cleaning process went. They took down the pictures & took a dry rag to the frames & then put the pictures back. The walls weren't ever cleaned. They got all my rugs, some of the window furniture down, so they could go out to be cleaned. In the months to come they cleaned the inside of the cabinets but never the outside of them, nor did I the counter tops or windows get cleaned. Never vacuumed or swept the floors. The carpets got cleaned by another company. Furniture was never cleaned, which was supposed to be shampooed, blinds were never cleaned or sent out. Missing a whole drawer of new kitchen cabinets and wash cloths. My custom cabinets have a big chip out to one of the doors, dented by freezer door of my freezer, couch & love seat are damaged with spray & splattered marks on them & bleach marks 6 inches high on the whole bottom of my love seat & my outdoor flower garden was backed into taking out a 12 foot lilac bush & never called to tell me that it happened. David the owner disrespected. I will say that they did replace the lilac bush, as far as the damages to my cabinets, freezer door & furniture, they won't own it. The only thing they offered to do was buy me new kitchen towels but won't admit to ruining my furniture, chips in the cabinets or the dent in the freezer door. read more

If I could give zero stars to this company I would! The experience started out ok. They were very quick to respond in our emergency and were there to pack and store the contents of 3 rooms in our house after our hot water tank flooded our condo. However this is where the pleasant experience ended. Issue #1- They stored our items for approximately 6 weeks while we dealt with the other contractors. In the beginning we are not sure who they got authorization from, because 3 weeks in we were told the insurance company of the owner was not going to cover this. We were lucky our renters insurance company was great and covered us. Issue #2 - We were told that one of our dressers was deemed a total loss item. It took days to get the paperwork required to get to our insurance company. Then when they were redelivering our contents two dressers were missing, even after telling them we wanted them back. We were then told that both were deemed total loss! It took another week plus to get the paperwork for the additional dresser. Issue #3 - During the pack back they did not have all of our items on the truck! The two mentioned dressers as well as a large chair from the living room. They had to go back to their warehouse and pick them up. Issue #4 - Our entertainment center was damaged in the move. Not sure if it was during the pack out or pack in. They took the entertainment center back to their warehouse to "fix" it. After 2 weeks and MANY emails they finally brought it back to us. It was "fixed" using bondo on the back support leg! This was not acceptable to us. When we finally got a response to an email from the manager, after again multiple emails, he ultimately told us take it or leave it. Issue #5 - We had to unpack our items even after we were told they would do it and put everything back as it was before the pack out. During this process we found many items missing! (Large tote full of designer handbags, electronics, money box, power drill and who knows what else we haven't noticed) After days of these items being missing, Demario (their ONLY shining star) located some of them still on the truck under garbage and personally drove them to our house to make sure they were returned! Issue #6 - We determined a box was missing from our bedroom closet that was full of hundreds of dollars in change. We immediately emailed the management for a resolution. (This items was clearly in the photos provided by them prior to their packout). The manager Lior ultimately told me that they told my husband to take anything valuable out prior to them packing things out and that they aren't responsible. Even though they packed everything out, stored and brought "everything" back. After multiple emails back and fourth I was finally at the point of getting an attorney involved and they said they would pay us $100 but nothing more. The customer service of this company is horrendous!!! Do not use this company if you expect to get all of your items back, items in the same condition they were previously or if you want good customer service!! Absolutely appalled! read more

Property damage and dealing with insurance claims are never a good experiences, but we felt like Contents Specialists (CS)did their best to help get us thru our incident. They coordinated pack out, inventory, cleaning, pack back, piano cleaning and tuning, on-site pod storage, etc for us spanning the last 6 months. It was a total learning experience for us, but CS answered all our questions and did their best to return our home back to normal. They photographed and documented everything, every step of the way. Our job mgr, David, was always reachable and typically responded to us either immediately or within an hour of phone calls. They even coordinated with the textile/electronic cleaners and insurance claim rep whenever we needed them to. I'm happy to recommend this company if you are moving in or out. I had to have all the furniture moved out of my family room and it was placed in a "Pod" stored on my driveway. Yesterday they brought it back into the house and knew where to put everything because they take photos prior to moving it out. The Contents Specialists came to my house after an overflowing bathtub led to a flood on the bottom floor. A team came to pack up every single item in the flooded area. This took several days and extraordinary attention to detail was taken. All workers wore masks and were very polite & diligent. Later, after all of the repairs to my house were finished, a team led by David & Drew arrived will all my possessions. They were polite, professional, and efficient, and they assured me that they would unpack and organize my stuff according to MY needs and directions. I have to give this company a FIVE star rating. I recently experienced a flood in my basement from a pipe that burst. This is my first experience dealing with anything of this nature. From the moment that that Contents Specialist showed up I immediately felt a sense of relief. The manager walked me through all that they were going to do, handed me paperwork and a folder to hold all my important documents and reassured me that everything was going to be ok. With so much care and attention to detail, they wrapped and packaged up all my belongings, labeled all boxes and kept me in the loop as they went through the process. I am very pleased with Content Specialists. After a basement flood, when I was stressed and unsure of how to deal with it, Content Specialists really simplified the process for me. They packed everything out, inventoried everything and shared photos online so I could review it all. But what really impressed me was how the team went above and beyond to help me. They took the time to repair an armoire that was broken before the flood, they went to home depot to buy parts for a bed, and they were so patient with my asking tons of questions.
