I am so impressed by this restaurant. This was our second dinner here in the last year and both experiences were 5 star. Our waiter, Tyson, was phenomenal. We were celebrating our son's first birthday and Tyson was SO accommodating. He brought food for the baby to feed the koi fish, which was so sweet and fun. All of his recommendations were excellent. The service really put our dining experience over the top, but the food is also A+. The yellowtail carpaccio was as beautiful as it was delicious! The French onion soup -- next level. The ribeye was fantastic. And the A5 was an experience in and of itself. The perfect way to wrap up the meal was with the banana pie (all recs from Tyson). Can't recommend this restaurant enough. A group of associates plus the owner of a local retailer on Third Street in Naples recently went to The Continental for dinner.  The owner of the store called ahead and requested a specific corner booth to enable all of us to have our business discussion and hear each other easily.  We got to the restaurant early for our 6PM reservation only to find the requested booth occupied.  There were two tables with diners - one in our requested booth.  The owner was very upset and asked to speak to the manager.  His answer to her concern?  "Well, clearly that's not happening."  WOW!  Not an appropriate reply from a manager to a party of six!  It's off-season in Naples.  Any restaurant would have been happy to accommodate our group!  In his very arrogant tone, he said he will set up another table.  After waiting for 20 minutes (!!!) we finally got a table that was not at all conducive for everyone to hear our conversation.  After quite an extravagant meal that included two bottles of wine, one would think the manager would stop by to 1) ask if everything was ok, 2) offer an after-dinner drink, or, at the very least, 3) send over a dessert as a good-faith gesture.  Not only did he do none of those, he never came over to apologize or, on our way out, to say 'Thank you'.  We all found his behaviour unconscionable!  We will never go back to The Continental.  There are too many other fine restaurants who will be all-too-happy to accommodate us!  This manager is more equipped to sell socks at K'Mart than work in what we thought was one of the best restaurants in Naples! read more

My husband and I stopped by on a whim without reservations. At first, they told us they were booked but squeezed us in! We actually got a great two person table right by the pond so we had a great view of the fishies. The food and service were great as well! I got a caesar salad and hubby got steak tartare. Both were delicious. We then shared the ribeye for two, side of fries and corn, and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. SO SO GOOD. read more

This was a great experience... We were made to feel special not rushed and the food was delicious. I called late in the day for reservations and was able to secure them.. we sat in area with a great view and comfortable chairs out of the sun or it's glare.! Our drinks were great.. real and not full of sugar.. And the bread was homemade fresh and accompanied by butter and small bowl of coarse sea salt. An interesting but delicious combination! Our heirloom tomato salad- see pics-- was delicious! Super tasty thin sliced tomatoes, cucumber, red onion and a ricotta cheese .. tasty light and delicious We both ordered the snapper....fresh and hot. We ordered ala carte carrots and spinach...all went well and there was plenty to share.. see the "side"plate of carrots picture!. ( (Bugs Bunny- could have joined us and been happy) Finally our coconut cake was super tasty a dense bottom and fresh whipped cream on top. Now this is a dining experience and not for a quick meal or someone on a tight budget.... This was a special meal while on vacation.. And as an FYI..go here a little dressed up...no t-shirt or sandals.. and this is really not a place for kids-- in my opinion ( and I have kids).. leave them at home or go somewhere else. Such a beautiful ambiance and vibe. It's a very large and spacious restaurant. Definitely book a reservation in advance; we went on a Saturday and they were BUSY. Food was spectacular, surprisingly the zucchini cannelloni and Japanese A5 Wagyu was my absolute favorites! I'm never someone that goes for a vegan dish but this cannelloni was so rich and creamy - the almond ricotta and the cashew butter were a nice touch with the pine nuts, it gave it such an earthy flavor. AVOID the PERILS of a 6pm reservation!!!!! Risk being seated in the UNDESIREABLE tables. Out of 35+ patio tables there are 4 that are UNDESIREABLE. We are early diners and have dined here 8 times in the last 6 weeks and twice experienced this. We were NOT walk ins, we had long standing reservations. Our tabs for two are always $400+. I can only attribute this to our 6pm reservations. BTW, this never happens at Campiellos and they have far less tables and dont shove tables into Busser's areas or hallways. The first time this happened was unfortunately very unpleasent because we were hosting birthday celebration for 6 people and despite checking weeks in advance to ensure a nice table we were relegated to the WORST table tucked behind the bar next to a Busser's station. The area was so off putting that even my guests reacted; not to mention having them trapse back and forth twice. The second time was last night and it somewhat spoiled our experience. The area they sat us in is just off the hostess stand and has zero air flow, no white table cloths and poor lighting. It almost feels like it was once a table Busser's station. Our server Adam made up for it best he could with excellent service. I witnessed every other person who was seated after us smile just fade off their faces as they were seated in this area. One such couple broke my heart because it was a young man on a date, both nicely dressed but DISCARDED in the UNDESIREABLE area. I suspect this young man's hope of treating his lady to a special evening were somewhat LESS than expected. Hopefully upper management reads this message and turns a Lemon into Lemonade and converts these areas to a more pleasant experience for all or just avoids using them for dining patrons all together. we come for the atmosphere and the FOOD; last night Continental failed on the ATMOSPHERE. read more

Went to The Continental for our five year anniversary. It was outstanding. Bracken? Was our waiter. When we arrived the hostess was very warm and welcoming and said she hoped we had a wonderful dinner. We had steak and lobster and it was delicious. Then the Continental gave us a celebratory dessert to add to our surprise and gratitude. Strongly recommend The Continental. We had such a memorable evening and hope you do too!! read more

Took over an hour to receive our meal, it was hard getting a hold of our waitress and since our meal ran late we ended up getting rained out. Was looking forward to going back to this restaurant. I have been there multiple times with a good to decent experience. What happened? Well let's consider the prices first of all - a burger that is 26 $ should come with hand cut fries ( not frozen- BK quality). The portions were minuscule. They gave me enough mash potatoes for a toddler. Charging 5$ for a below average bread basket was criminal. My steak although only 6 oz - came out looking like a hockey puck and wasn't even cooked to my specifications. No one asked how it was , so I just ate it. Which brings me to the service. It used to be good. I would describe it as borderline deplorable. I am concerned that they are understaffed. Did I mention my daughter who vomited later that night possibly due to the Piedmontese steak? I am giving it 2 stars because it was solid in the past. It could have easily been 1. I was so excited to try this restaurant maybe I had too much high hopes. We were a party of 12 and although we had made a reservation in advance they put us at a table that should have been for 10 people but we snuggled close together and endured. Despite that we were a large party the service was wonderful! I wish I could say the same about the food. It was Restaurant Week and 3 course meals were $39 so we decided to go with that. I started with a tomato carpaccio which I enjoyed. Escarole ceasar salad tasted just like a regular ceasar. The steak tartare was a big disappointment. Chopped up mushy pieces of raw meat just didn't make the grade. I ordered the Piedmontese Hanger Steak medium rare. The presentation was odd in that it was cut and coiled on the plate. I was not a fan of the texture or flavor of this steak. My friend ordered the strip medium rare and it came out raw. Another friend ordered a filet medium and it was raw. None of us experienced that wow factor with our steaks. The mushrooms were delicious but the Twice baked potato was overcooked and dry. I enjoyed the cinnamon donuts with caramel sauce and the key lime blackberry pie was good too. All in all it was a good deal with the Restaurant Week offer but we were really let down in the quality of the food. read more

The portions are big and so is the bill. Service was an overwhelming 10/10. If you have Conner at your table consider yourself in for a treat. The creamed corn is cream-less but delicious and succulent. I enjoyed my salad the dressing had a bitter aftertaste but the lettuce was easy to fold and the perfect portion. The chocolate silk is DENSE and beautiful, I didn't see a single table of 2-3 people finish it. If you like like a decadent amount of heavy cream, oooo that baby was THIC! The table bread is DELICIOUS, perfect combination of soft, moist and crunchy. The butter was fittingly gourmet. I was very happy Coniker (our exceptional waiter) was quick to refill the bread. The mushroom toast was delicious but too rich. The regular mushroom side was bit overwhelming, but so savory. Place is worth every bit of the price. We tipped 25% and I think you will feel compelled to do the same if you get to interact with Jeanette and Conkier. The inside seating is nicely by the thick vines on the sidewalk. It would be a dream location for a rehearsal dinner. Small detail: I dressed like I was picking up 100 chicken minis at Chick-fil-A and nobody was mean to me. We've been to this restaurant for date night 3 times. First two times not great. First time was a few months after Ian. The hostess was very rude when we showed up with no reservation. Told us it was two hour wait so we had drinks next door but we looked at open table and they had a spot in 30 minutes. When we returned she was surprised and still Made us wait. Strike 1..... but at least food was good and so was our server. Second time we came for the early dining special. Food was good but server was not very friendly and seemed bothered any time we asked her for anything....strike 2.... We never got around to writing a review. This past weekend we just wanted a drink and snack on a Saturday after we saw sunset. We've always loved the bar area there but usually it is full so we popped in to see if it was open this time being that it was end of summer and it was. This visit The Continental totally redeemed itself thanks to an AWESOME server by the name Kelvin at the bar. We had drinks which were great and he convinced us to stay at the bar and at least try their sizzle menu. Boy are we glad we did!! Food and service were 5 stars. Sizzle menu had great selections and we opted for the hanger steak which Kelvin highly recommended. It was amazing. After dessert he finished things off with an espresso martini which was perfect! Haven't been there in a long while and won't again. Years ago the burgers came out perfect med rare. And were great. Asked the server if they will be cooked med. rare for both our burgers. We're done with this place. Years ago came here a lot. No longer can. The last two times were like this. If you want your burger cooked a certain way, forget it!!!Makes me angry at these prices. My husband and I ate lunch at the bar on Wednesday with our daughter.. Your new bartender, (not sure of her name but she said she was from Serbia) definitely needs reprimanded. It was an irritating experience to say the least for all of us. She spent so much time talking to her friend who also was from Serbia, chatting it up and slow to pay attention to any of the other customers at the bar in addition to us. People wanted service and she was distracted. We, as customers, all looked at each other throughout the bar because we all felt the same way. She couldn't be any more inattentive. All she did was talk, talk, talk, cutting up fruit so it appeared that she was working, but never once looked around to any of us to check how we were all doing as customers because she was so interested in visiting with her friend. If she wants to spend time talking with a friend, she should be doing it outside of work. The friend was there well over an hour, probably more like 2 hours. In fact, she was still sitting there talking when we left. The season is quieter now and I can't imagine if you were really busy how she would've handled things. It had been quite some time since my family and I had eaten at The Continental but we finally got back there for dinner and it was fabulous. Not only was the food as good as we had remembered but we had our daughter with us who is a vegan and was craving the impossible burger from the lunch menu. Came here for our anniversary dinner while vacationing in Naples. There were very heavy rains so downtown, including the Continental, were fairly empty. We were seated promptly and given a nice card acknowledging our celebration, valid for a free dessert. We did the tasting menu, opting for the steak option, and it was wonderful! I'll just start by saying this place is a 10/10 across the board. It is and has always been my favorite restaurant in Naples and I can assure you, after being down for awhile from the storm restoration process, they are back like they never left. The food: the quality of the ingredients, the absolute attention to detail in not only the cooking, but the plating and flavors is what really sets them a cut above the others. The service: I don't even think there is an accurate number scale to depict how extremely accommodating and efficient the staff members are in this restaurant. You will truly feel like royalty when you are a guest here. The atmosphere: a good mix of formal dining (in the inside) and a more casual courtyard experience often accompanied by live music. I've been coming to D'Amico's The Continental steakhouse for about 5 years now; during the first couple of years, the food and service was normally pretty good.... but the last 2 years, the steaks they're serving seem to be declining in quality and have not tasted very well at all. For a pricey high-end steakhouse, the owners of this restaurant should really be ashamed of themselves for serving such poor quality OR poorly cooked steaks. I don't know if more people are complaining about this, but it's really bad, and if anything, more customers should be speaking up! I've come to the point where I've 100% decided that I'll never dine at The Continental, and I will make it a point to let as many people know that it is Not worth going to this establishment anymore. I thought my dining experience the past couple of times might have been 'one-off situations' here & there in the kitchen, because our steak dinners were so subpar, but it is definitely not 'one-offs', the steaks are just bad!! (My Usual Steak selection:: Filet Mignon, Skirt Steak & Filet Mignon "Waygu Gold Label") This bad review has kind of been a long time coming; I really do hate to leave a bad review, but I had to post this 1 Star review after my last visit to this restaurant, last week.... As previously mentioned, I'd already been unhappy with my steak dinners here for some time now, so when I was ordering our dinner last week, I was expressing these concerns to our waitress ((that we also ate here about a month ago, and we cannot understand why the steak has not been too good lately))... this is where myself, my wife, and our waitress began to speak about the Japanese Waygu & proceeded to "their best steak on the menu".... The Problem is, our waitress neglects to tell us, that we just ordered two 8oz Japanese Waygu Steaks that happen to cost $200 per steak!!! NOTE:: There's NO price listed for Japanese Waygu Steak on the Menu ... (Additionally we had ordered one drink, a soda and 3 sides euqlling ONLY $44)... So, unknowingly, when our bill comes to the table, the bill is $500, plus tip, which comes to $600. So, I'm in complete shock now, I had no idea that this outrageous bill was coming my way...... Here's the worst part; the 2 steaks that were given to us, had to be thee worst steaks that my wife and I had ever tried to eat in our entire lives; my wife only took 2 bites and was nauseous and did not finish her steak!... We regularly dine at many high end steakhouses in New York, California, and Scottsdale Arizona, (especially Scottsdale, where there's nothing but steakhouses in that town) and we have never, ever come across such poor quality meat or horribly cooked steaks, I WOULDN'T EVEN CONSIDER FEEDING THIS MEAT TO STRAY DOGS!!!!.... SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! UGHH!!! For a meal that we basically threw away; if it was delicious, I'd still be unhappy that the bill was unknowingly so high, but feel a little okay with eating a delicious meal, but this was such an extreme disappointment, I'm completely disgusted about the entire situation. I've never spent $600 on dinner for 2 in my life, and if I were going to, it had better be the best tasting food in the world!!.... I am going to make sure everyone I know and everyone they know and so on, knows this experience and how bad the food is there. IM PISSED!!!!!! And in all fairness, You would be too! read more

They gave us a reservation and the hostesses were super nice and helpful. We were quickly seated and received complimentary bread and water. Love this spot! Has a very cute outdoor area and the service is amazing. We went for dinner on a Friday night in December. A reservation was easy to get on open table. They are known for their cocktails. My family tried the Church Key and a tequila watermelon concoction. Both were excellent. Unbelievable. We had such a wonderful time. Our service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. We started our meal with salads, I had the Caesar and it was great (probably my least favorite or the meal if I had to choose) Next up, our waiter, Atilla, suggested trying the A5 Waygu as an appetizer and that was a wonderful suggestion. This is my first time trying it, I have NO WORDS. It was AMAZING. Melted in your mouth. This needed no seasoning, the flavor was wonderful by itself. We ordered 6oz which was the minimum and plenty to share. It is very rich. I'm glad we didn't get this as a meal, appetizer was perfect. Then we shared the Chateaubriand, which was lovely and so flavorful. It was 18oz I believe, meant to share. To end our meal our waiter suggested the doughnuts (phenomenal) and the favorite way to end a meal - coffee with a liquor creamer, 5 farms. The presentation for the coffee was so fun! I'll add pics of our dishes. The ambiance was so beautiful. We were seated in a covered area but the walls were open to the courtyard, which I loved (love people watching!) The service was TOP NOTCH!
