I actually enjoyed the interior of this restaurant. It made me feel like I was outside, even though we were seated inside. You would have to see it to understand. I ordered the chicken Cesar salad, which was incredible! The chicken was grilled, but tender, and the dressing was so good. I also ordered the creme brulee, which was beautifully presented. Would recommend this spot on a nice warm day.

Walnut Creek location- parking is over behind macys- The staff is nice and we were seated quickly for lunch. They have these huge garage doors to let the beautiful day in. Huge tvs on the bar side - bar side then dinner side - it has a nice flow. The food is good and there is something for everyone . It's been a minute this is a late review - we came for brunch and we were happy we did

Was in the area. This place is across Original Joes. So ofcourse we came here right after brunch time for a few drinks. Customer service was great, bartender was awesome. I'll definitely be back for drinks and maybe try out their food as well.

The decor is modern and sleek. The noise level is moderate making for a comfortable environment to have a meaningful conversation. The menu has a good variety of options so that each person in your party can find something they want. The service was typical. I was disappointed that my $24 salad was on a bed of cabbage. I expected a more visually appealing and tasty base. My companion ordered the Nicosia Salad which had a beautiful presentation and was on a bed of arugula.

This was our first time in this restaurant. Almost everything was perfect and we have fond memories of the prior places in this space. Service was excellent. Very friendly, fast and attentive. The food was great with one drawback. My father-in-law liked his fried chicken and mashed potatoes. My wife and mother-in-law loved their salads. My burger was mostly awesome, cooked well and great flavor. The issue was with the grilled onions on it. They were mainly onion skin that somehow got left in the batch used. Unfortunately that ended up being a chewy, stringy mess that I ungraciously had to pull out of my mouth. Other than that, everything was great and we will be back to try other things.

This is a great new version of The Cooperage in downtown Walnut Creek. We came for dinner on a perfect spring day and loved the open air concept that offers a seamless transition between inside and outside with the sliding glass walls in good weather. The large, attractive space felt like it could accommodate a lot of different seating preferences. They delivered on friendly service and great food in pretty large portions. I'd highly recommend our appetizers of Garlic Cheese Bread and Green Eggs & Ham, the latter being a clever pesto twist on deviled eggs. The Ahi Burger which I ordered for my main with a side of fresh vegetables was perfectly prepared and delectable. I feel like restaurants impress me most when they do a fantastic job on things that people don't often order, such as fresh vegetables. These were garlicky, al dente perfection.

Food 50/50 the chicken (wings and grilled chicken on salad) was right and not seasoned at all. If you are looking for food that is not flavorful & don't mind adding salt to your food give it a try. The place was clean and the customer service was great. 5 starts on service Will I go back? For fries and a cocktail, why not.

Great place for some yummy food and good drinks. I've been here around lunch time both the times I've been there and it was good, not too busy and service is great. I enjoy their margaritas there and the burrata is also really good with the pesto. They have grilled fish tacos but you can always ask them to make it fried with their fish and chips fish - it's great. Love the salad here too. Overall, always a great experience, nice chic ambiance too.

We came in with a large family group and no reservation during brunch, and Sonia was amazing. She welcomed us warmly and made outdoor seating work for us. Our server, Brian, was also so kind and attentive. Wonderful service from the whole team -- thank you, Sonia and entire team! Ferda Ela

Came here on a Sunday for lunch at 12. They only had the weekend brunch menu. We were given then option to seat at a table or on the bar side. We sat on the bar side which was empty so we got a nice booth. Even thought it was empty the service was kind of slow because the poor bartender was making drinks and servicing us. We ordered the chicken and waffles and prime rib Benedict. The chicken and waffle was not bad. It was a unique wheat tasting waffle. The chicken was a thigh and juicy but needed seasoning. The prime rib Benedict was good but also needed seasoning. The potato's were hard. It almost tasted like they were undercooked but burnt at the same time. We asked for salt and pepper and hot sauce but it took so long that our meal was almost done. Probably wouldn't come back again based on the price and service and food.

Fast and friendly service. Good selection of whiskey, great cocktails, and tasty food. To be honest, came to the Cooperage because Original Joe's was going to be over an hour wait. We tried the tuna for appetizers (was ok - could do with less of the sauce), shrimp and grits was interesting with a curry flavored twist to the sauce, and I had the burger which was delicious. Huge portions and overall good place.

Overall: I used to go to the Coop when it was in Lafayette, and it was great, but the Walnut Creek version isn't quite on par. Food: Overall, decent, well prepared but portions smallish especially the starters. One negative: one order came out with really burnt buns that we had to send back - really should been prevented from being brought out. Service was mixed. Slow on taking orders, but not terrible. Pricing - $55/person for a party of 5

I had hoped that what I read from a 1-star Yelp review about having reservations, then finding out…read morethis restaurant is closed, was only a rare occasion. I did not even think to alert my friends about what I read because I thought after reading other Yelp reviews and looking up their Instagram posts with beautiful photos and people looking like they were enjoying this restaurant, that what was described in that 1-star review must have been a rare occurrence. Boy was I wrong because to my dismay when we arrived at their restaurant door last evening, it happened to us and I did not want to believe it, but all the evidence was there to show they were in fact, CLOSED. Two other customers and our group arrived at the same time in advance of our 6pm reservation time, only to see their door closed, lights off, with nobody inside. We were confused not only because we did not receive a message notifying us that their restaurant would be closed and our reservation needed to be canceled, but also because the customers who arrived when we did said they had booked their reservation yesterday, meaning the reservation system was still active. What's more is we did not see any signage on their door or windows about being closed, but instead we saw an EBMUD notice on the door stating water service payment was overdue, which we were not expecting to see upon our arrival. Our group needed to quickly figure out a plan B for our birthday celebration dinner, as our friend had planned and reserved The Library Social Club over a month ago. I dine at many restaurants and any time there needs to be a change or cancelation for any reason by a restaurant business, I have received an e-mail, a text, or a phone call alert, as a customer courtesy call, and I have at the very least, even seen hand written notes on restaurant doors and windows as signage alerting customers of their business being closed. Needless to say, we were disappointed and frustrated by this incident today. We drove from out of town to try this restaurant that was not even open when customers had reservations. Fortunately, our friend proposed a different restaurant that we could walk to and they sat us promptly upon arrival. We enjoyed their delicious food instead!

I was the first to walk in around 4ish in the afternoon (they have happy hour!) and I was offered a seat and water quickly. I decided to order the smoked salmon crudo and the gentleman (I think one of the owners?) gave me some pairing suggestions. While that was getting prepared in the kitchen, he offered me a tasting of another white wine on the house, which was so kind! In the picture below... it's most drunk haha but it was a nice amount to taste and sip on. That smoked salmon crudo is SO GOOD. The citrus adds a nice brightness, and I think there was a hint of honey used in the vinaigrette. I was pleasantly surprised and it's easily the best smoked salmon dish I've had in a while! The wine was excellent as well. I was only in for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half before I moved on, but I got to hear regulars come in and greet the owner like old friends. There's a really cool vibe here, with great music and decor, so I really wished I lived closer to visit more often! As I was leaving, I did chat with the gentleman again (complimented him/the wine bar) and he said he hoped that I would come again as he is trying to work with his partners to add more to the menu (the regulars that came in were asking after the gumbo and the brunch, which they were not serving at the time). I definitely hope to visit again and try those other menu items!

When we first arrived we were seated right away and given waters immediately by our lovely host, after being seating it took 15 minutes for our waiter to even look at us and when she did she said "Do you know what you want to drink?", this was our first interaction. It took about 20 minutes to receive our wine and when she brought it to us she never let us taste the wine before pouring it, which I have never experienced at any other winery. After leaving it took an extra 10 minutes to receive our order of French fries, luckily the water machine was right next to us so whenever we needed a refill we could just get up and get it ourselves! We almost asked them to not even bring out the bread because it had been 45 minutes after ordering before it came to our table. I think we would have been more understanding if it was a busy night but it was the complete opposite. I could have driven all the way to Napa, been served, eaten a full meal, then home with my teeth brushed in bed by 8, but instead I'm at Shadowbrook waiting for my bread. Overall the food was great, the wine was excellent but the service was absolutely horrific! We felt overlooked and unwelcome from the start. Our server barely acknowledged us and gave the impression that we weren't worth her time while serving others next to us with enthusiasm. Unfortunately the 20% service charge did it for me, I wouldn't mind paying if it was worth it, if I could tip our waitress less I would.
