Stopped in for breakfast. The previous occupant of this location left big shoes to fill. I believe those shoes are properly filled. The Copper Crust already has an almost cult following in the area, and this new location can't be anything but a success. The food is beyond good. It's counter service and I believe there was someone being trained when we were there, so it could have been better, but not a big deal. We will be back as often as we can. We came here yesterday for breakfast when visiting a church in the area. Breakfast was great! Had the Swank and the egg and bacon sandwich. Also had the poblano Mac n cheese and the mocha espresso cheesecake. What impressed me the most were the three young ladies working the tables. They were so genuinely pleasant and happy! Oh, my, goodness, the savory pies are amazing, and if eaten "in" rather than take-out, served piping hot with a small salad that offsets them perfectly. The croissants are so buttery they melt when you bite-in. I read about the new location in the newspaper and was dying to try it out. We were just going to get dessert "to go", but the sandwich menu looked too good to pass up. I had the Italian and my wife had the Blackened Beast. Both were excellent, but filling enough that dessert will have to wait until we get home. I am so pleasantly surprised by this gem, right in York. I'm not from the area but live a couple hours north and drive through occasionally. I wasn't sure what we'd find when I realized the place was in a food court/farmers market but everything was outstanding. All made from scratch, local ingredients, no hydrogenated oils. My daughter-in-law and her husband took us here and told us as Foodies that we would enjoy this tremendously. She was absolutely right it was amazing there were so many choices and having breakfast there was the highlight of our trip before heading on to another state. I had never been to Central Market in York, but on a visit to the Mudhook Brewery (also in the market building) we happened upon this wonderful little bakery. Luckily it was open because it just so happened to be First Friday. This is the cutest little bakery! It glass cases were full of beautifully crafted baked goods, but were advised that items go extremely quickly. I'm not surprised as there was a steady line. For ease of transportation, we selected a variety of cookies. The cookies are MASSIVE! We had Peanut Butter Meltdown and a Chocolate Caramel cookies. They also have scones, huge muffins, real-deal croissants and a variety of fresh-baked goodies. The owner was incredibly nice and clearly has a true passion for her baking business. If I lived in York, this would be definitely be one of my regular spots. read more

We were rather confused by this place ... We went today for brunch - because its hours are 7-2 and it's listed as a "brunch" restaurant here on Yelp - but they only sell brunch on the weekends? Which was strange. But we're from NYC and we acknowledge that this is a small town business, so we took that with a grain of salt and ordered from their lunch menu. I got their Jerk Chicken "sandwich" and, I'm so sorry to say, I threw it in the trash after the first bite. First, it was a wrap (though nowhere on the menu did it say it was a wrap) and I don't like wraps. But the chicken was cold and flavorless, the grilled pineapple was smooshy and watery, and their "cool cucumber sauce" tasted like mayonnaise. Really really gross. I went with a group of friends and my friend raved about his smoked salmon bagel the rest of the day (a lunch menu item) so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the environment was cute. Based on these factors, I'd give it 2 stars. Because my sandwich was definitely a 0 star. read more

SOoooo good. a little bit pricey but hands down the best croissant ever. i had the spinach and feta croissant and dont even like feta cheese. best croissant ever. now i have to go there every time i'm in york when they're open. which includes sundays!!! their quiche was also very good as well as all of the other pastries and pies that i tried. they had a special beef (stew?) hand held pie for restaurant week and it was equally amazing. amazing grab and go treats. i havent committed to any sitdown meals there but they look and sound amazing as well. read more

Just moved to the area and saw the Copper Crust when we visited the market. I tried my first cronut and am absolutely in love!!! It was hands down the best pastry I've ever had!!! I'm hooked and will totally be back to try more. My husband had the Paris Bun, and we loved that too. Absolutely amazing pastries, and the texture is so unique and delicious. Stopped in on our way to Washington DC. The staff was very friendly. My wife got the 2 egg platter with bacon, which she seemed to enjoy. I got a quiche which was not good at all, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, which lacked in salt and flavor. The bagel chips were tasty. We got some vegetable cream cheese which was chock full of peppers. I think they should have called it pepper cream cheese. The bacon is quite good. read more

I have not had a decent bagel in forever in Maryland or around Pennsylvania, but this was just as good as any I have had in NJ or NY. I am from NJ originally so that says a lot! Set in a market, this place is missing it's calling in a bigger city (i.e. metro DC) as the food & desserts are that good it could be a staple. The food is good, but kitchen is slow, prices are way too high and day old bagels are not day old. I love their meatball sub- but for a $11 sandwich it's a very rare occasion. We would love to visit more- the poblano Mac and cheese is our favorite! We say the food is better than their pastry. read more

WOW!! The best breakfast I have ever had! We were traveling from jersey to DC and came across this fabulous place in York, PA. We were at the crosswalk and by chance ran into Nicole the owner!
