I loved this place back in November 2024 Now The vibe now feels Dj play same songs so boring , same theme nights, and less of that creative underground energy The space itself is still cool and nice but the spark that made it special no more

Dirty filthy fans that need to be cleaned or replaced lol

I enjoy going here so much... been here 3xs lol but besides the point Lmaoo PLEASE CLEAN YOUR FANS! This is beyond disgusting! Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. Once the fans are clean I will come back & update my review :) Anyways see ya'll next weekend hope to see the fans clean :)

We decided to check out this club since it was just next door to where we had dinner. They told us the cover would be free and that we would also get complimentary champagne, so why not??! We were escorted in and got a booth all to ourselves. It was cool to have hot girls bring us our champagne! It was pretty chill in here and not too crazy. There was also a pool table, but it was reserved. We didn't spend too much time here, but it was fun to just listen to the music, dance, and people watch.

The atmosphere really gives you the flavor of a speakeasy culture. The soft Edison lightbulbs really sets a tone. The long wooden community tables, well guess, what? They are ponderosa pine wood, originally from Idyllwild. My personal favorite are the big soft booths. Those fit about 20 peeps so if you have a party or a birthday party this is it! Look no more and no kids allowed. This zone is for adults only. Obviously it is a bar but strangely enough about ten years ago I ended up in a private party with cops. Anyhow I have come to the cooper doors several times in my life time. Last summer or so they had the MUSE Burlesque's show in the patio area. It was ultra creative and it was a lot of fun. In those days they offered servers with a small menu w food options. This last time around going back underground they do not offer server or menu for food kindov weird. For June 13th they had an amazing show w the MUSE burlesque and I purchased a party booth of ten and as it turned out, no server came, just a bucket of chocolate and other party lace. I do have to admit I was bumbed my guest had to stand inline to get drinks. It was no real big deal because we made it worked but a server service wouldn't be a bad idea especially if we tip well. Does that make sense? Over all the bar has great spirit selection except no gin. From 10 years ago they have grown their sprit selection and not just a beer garden. SO I like that they have returned and they are up and running a business but this time around no food and no server was a bummer. so again, the rules have changed. Last time outside in the patio they offered food w servers. I hope in the near future they can correct the loose ends. I know Covid complicated everything. From the outside if this is your first time. If you walk to fast you might miss it. You can not see the venue driving by you must walk to see it. Please be careful it is only a stairway to enter no elevator. It is a very big venue and dress to impress. Many different events so look out for up coming events because 99.99% I have had a blast. Parking is located down the street in a parking structure near the Reagan Federal Court. It is located in downtown Santa Ana the mecca of OC. Traditional restrooms and cards are accepted. Follow MUSE Burlesque on IG. Super adorable! Fun is an honorable goal. Oh and the cocktails are average prices about $14 a pop. Mask are optional. So I took it off!!!! (yeah I am immunized) PS I hope they get servers soon because the line to get cocktails is kindov lame. But the show is worth a 5 star the venue deserves a 5 star. Especially the performers and I LOVE anything that reminds me of the Speakeasy era. So ladies pull out your pinup dresses and the eyelashes! Sexy is Back! ps the happy hours are dark and private you can almost study too especially when it is around dinner time. I know I am strange bird but sometimes I need to relax. lol

When we arrived, we were helped by a very kind server named Vivi. She was attentive and even changed the channel so we could watch the baseball game we came for. When her shift ended, we closed our tab with her and waited to open a new one with Katie, who was starting her shift. Unfortunately, once Katie began her shift, the music and the television channels were changed, even though we were clearly there to watch the baseball game. In hindsight, that may have been a sign that the experience would not go well. It took approximately 23 minutes for her to come and take our order I asked for a michelada and a ginger ale. This was extremely disappointing service. I would understand a delay if the place had been busy, but as you can see, the establishment was fairly empty at the time. Because of this, there was no clear reason for such a long wait. Overall, this was the worst service we have experienced here, which was surprising given our previous positive visits. That said, I would also like to highlight one of the servers who consistently provides excellent service. If possible, I would recommend visiting Thursday through Sunday when Naidelyn is working. She is always attentive to customers, provides great service, and greets everyone with a smile.

After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future.
