I went the other night and felt nauseous due to lack of water, and I went up to a bouncer asking if there was anywhere I could sit. I looked physically nauseous, and he immediately yelled at me to leave. I complied without talking back nor making a scene, and as I'm walking up to the exit, another bouncer pushes me to the side. This is a fun place for a night out with friends! We arrived before it got too busy which I would recommend if you want to have a place to sit. The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations on drinks. We ordered The Mexican Lollipop and Pink Starburst shots. Mexican Lollipop shot- It was a nice combination of sweet, tangy, and spicy. It has a refreshing watermelon base and you get a nice rim of tajin around the glass that ties the flavors together. Pink Starburst- Tastes just like the candy! It was sweet and fruity and you get a rim of pink sugar around the glass. I found this place through tik tok. It was my first time coming here with my friends last weekend, we were trying to have a good time. And the night was completely ruined when my friend got her phone stolen. Someone pick pocketed out of her purse. And this is a KNOWN thing that's been going on, apparently for a few years now (look at previous reviews). There is something shady and sinister going on... these people are obviously professionals. Nobody has been looking into these issues either. Not enough is being done to protect its clientele. read more

PHYSICAL ABUSE. I walked in with 2 friends and asked to use the restroom, we were told by a polite woman that they we couldn't use their restroom so my friends started to head out. I asked if she knew where the nearest restroom would be - before I could finish my sentence a bouncer was aggressively shoving me and telling me to leave- enough so to where I almost fell, could've hit my head on the stairs behind me. I was shocked and I asked him to stop, I wasn't doing anything I was happy to leave. But again before I could finish he aggressively shoved me two more times. This isn't legal. I work at an establishment close by and we were just grabbing street tacos after work, and didn't mind leaving when asked but there was an abuse of force. I'm 5'2" and this man was definitely 6'2"+ and atleast 2 times the size of me. Another bouncer realized this man was being aggressive and stood in between us, and asked me to start heading out. I was in shock and started to do so, reminding them that I hadn't done anything wrong and there's no way it's ok to shove or push somebody who is complying. I hadn't been in the building longer than 5 minutes before all of this happened. Another bouncer came - he looked like he was the manager and it seemed like they knew they had done something wrong but said "it was their job". I was exhausted- I feel traumatized I am never going back and I would never recommend any person to ever step into this building ever again. read more

On August 12, 2025, I got kicked out because some girl must have mistaken me for someone else... she blew up on me when i was just passing through the dance floor nowhere near her. I had never made any contact with or seen her or her friends before in my life. She told security to kick me out and then as they were walking me out I asked security what i did and they said "i dont know, just keep walking out". I was having fun buying drinks and dancing by myself. Security doesn't listen to both sides of the story, they just make whatever the laziest decision is. That ruined my night. In all transparency, I'm writing this review as a millennial grandma whose clubbing days are long gone so I'm a little out of my element. My friends and I were in DTSA and we stumbled across this place. It had a line so we thought it might be a good spot for some drinks, music and dancing. Sad to say we were so wrong! The bouncers were cool but the female staff taking the cover charge were not the friendliest. It's INSANE to be charging girls an entry fee ($15 pp) but we were already there and no signs were posted letting us know. Crowd was soooo weird. Some were dressed up in costumes like it was Halloween. It's AUGUST people! There were your usual creepy dudes who came alone just watching girls dance, your GNO girls etc. There was a good balance of male to female ratio. Drinks were just ok, not the strongest or tastiest. They also have a little alcove selling shots, right next to the bathroom which is just gross. This place has sent this grandma back into retirement. Thanks for the mems. read more

We decided to check out this club since it was just next door to where we had dinner. They told us the cover would be free and that we would also get complimentary champagne, so why not??! We were escorted in and got a booth all to ourselves. It was cool to have hot girls bring us our champagne! It was pretty chill in here and not too crazy. There was also a pool table, but it was reserved. We didn't spend too much time here, but it was fun to just listen to the music, dance, and people watch. read more

I was trying to block my cards on my phone but security dude was hella rude, that i couldnt stand on the side were i was,explained what had just happened and his response was I DONT CARE...the following day I tried getting a hold of management in case my wallet was not stolen or to try checking the security cams, but I still have yet to hear back from them.. definitely will STOP going there. read more

The atmosphere really gives you the flavor of a speakeasy culture. The soft Edison lightbulbs really sets a tone. The long wooden community tables, well guess, what? They are ponderosa pine wood, originally from Idyllwild. My personal favorite are the big soft booths. Those fit about 20 peeps so if you have a party or a birthday party this is it! Look no more and no kids allowed. This zone is for adults only. Obviously it is a bar but strangely enough about ten years ago I ended up in a private party with cops. Anyhow I have come to the cooper doors several times in my life time. Last summer or so they had the MUSE Burlesque's show in the patio area. It was ultra creative and it was a lot of fun. In those days they offered servers with a small menu w food options. This last time around going back underground they do not offer server or menu for food kindov weird. For June 13th they had an amazing show w the MUSE burlesque and I purchased a party booth of ten and as it turned out, no server came, just a bucket of chocolate and other party lace. I do have to admit I was bumbed my guest had to stand inline to get drinks. It was no real big deal because we made it worked but a server service wouldn't be a bad idea especially if we tip well. Does that make sense? Over all the bar has great spirit selection except no gin. From 10 years ago they have grown their sprit selection and not just a beer garden. SO I like that they have returned and they are up and running a business but this time around no food and no server was a bummer. so again, the rules have changed. Last time outside in the patio they offered food w servers. I hope in the near future they can correct the loose ends. I know Covid complicated everything. From the outside if this is your first time. If you walk to fast you might miss it. You can not see the venue driving by you must walk to see it. Please be careful it is only a stairway to enter no elevator. It is a very big venue and dress to impress. Many different events so look out for up coming events because 99.99% I have had a blast. Parking is located down the street in a parking structure near the Reagan Federal Court. It is located in downtown Santa Ana the mecca of OC. Traditional restrooms and cards are accepted. Follow MUSE Burlesque on IG. Super adorable! Fun is an honorable goal. Oh and the cocktails are average prices about $14 a pop. Mask are optional. So I took it off!!!! (yeah I am immunized) PS I hope they get servers soon because the line to get cocktails is kindov lame. But the show is worth a 5 star the venue deserves a 5 star. Especially the performers and I LOVE anything that reminds me of the Speakeasy era. So ladies pull out your pinup dresses and the eyelashes! I've been here several times and tonight went with my cousins who wanted bottle service. They were charging $800 for 6 of us! They think it's Hollywood or something lol. They brought it down to $600 but there was no way I was paying that for a basement in Santa Ana. The girl at the front with pink hair was super nice but when I tried to walk past the entrance to leave, the mall cop Dollar Tree version of Bow Wow grabbed and pushed me back into the line saying I had to wait. I told him why would I have to wait if I'm leaving? My friend also told him I was trying to get out but he just blocked me from going out and said I had to stay there so I told the idiot I was leaving and just made my way back through the line. I visited this place three months ago looking for a night out with good music and dancing. The venue had cool lights and effects that are very up to trend, however for me the music was lacking. To be straightforward the Dj played the exact set of songs three times before I decided it was time to leave. I again visited this past labor day weekend to give it another chance. Unfortunately, after staying for about an hour I was not impressed. Again the same music which can only be entertaining for so long. The venue is usually pretty packed and there is standing room only. So for a "dance club" it's kind of hard to dance. Pros: trendy atmosphere. Bottle service. Lots of lights. Cons: small venue, repetitive music. Unfortunately it just wasn't for me. But it seems to be busy so maybe it will be for you? :) Still looking for a good dancing spot in OC. read more

If I could rate this place ZERO stars, I absolutely would! My friends and I usually have a great time at The Copper Door. it's been our go-to spot for dancing and hanging out. But tonight was a completely different story. We arrived just to have a fun night. no expectations for drinks or free sections, just vibes. Out of nowhere, a bottle service girl (about 5'0", black hair, wearing glasses) approached us and offered to let us join her section for free. We were surprised but grateful. She even said she'd bring us wristbands and drinks. So we said, "Sure, why not?" But she never came back with anything. Still, we were having a good time dancing and enjoying the night, not expecting anything more. Then, out of nowhere, a white security guard came over and told us we had to leave the section as if we had just walked into someone else's VIP uninvited. It was so embarrassing and completely unfair. We didn't sneak in, we were invited. To make things worse, when my friend tried to explain the situation to another bottle service girl who came into the section with a different group, she totally dismissed her. We get that it's a busy night, but that doesn't justify ignoring people or treating them like they're causing problems when they aren't. We tried to find the girl who originally invited us, but the place was packed and chaotic. Eventually, we found another bottle service girl who actually listened to us. She apologized and even offered to move us to another section. That was a kind gesture, and we appreciated it -- but by then, the night had already been ruined. Overall, the experience at The Copper Door was terrible. The staff's unprofessional and dismissive behavior completely changed the energy of what should have been a fun night. We expected nothing -- just wanted to dance and enjoy our time together and somehow we ended up embarrassed, disrespected, and disappointed. We're not coming back.. read more

Just found out they let go of their bottle service manager. We used to get bottles here a lot on a whim because of her. Whoever we ended up messaging this time for bottles had very little hospitality and couldn't even spell. It sounded like they just wanted my money and to move on. The guys and I wanted to pop bottles last weekend but not with that attitude and lack of professionalism. We haven't been here in a few months and the inside is really tacky all of a sudden. Not sure who decorated but it's real ugly. We bought a round of shots and dipped after. I have to shoutout the bartender CHRIS she was working over time with pumping all those drinks during open bar time and she had a smile on the whole entire time!!
