Found this place on yelp after seeing many other local brunch places were closed today (Sunday). Waited in line for about 10 minutes and grabbed seats for two at the bar behind the grill. The cooks at this restaurant definitely know what they're doing, the food was quick, tasty and cooked correctly. We had pancakes (fluffy and delicious), hash browns (perfectly cooked, seasoned and a good crispy outer layer), scrambled eggs, homemade hash (so good with one of their homemade hot sauces), eggs Benedict that had perfect hollandaise and perfect runny eggs. I LOVE this place for breakfast. They make good, hearty, homemade feeling food. I've never experienced a wait, and the service is quick. I've had their sweet and savory breakfasts, including their seasonal sweet desserts. All of it is delicious, and I've never been able to finish a full meal. Great Mass Hash. Big portion of hash with 2 over easy eggs on top. The server / chef was very friendly and super fast with the order. The rye toast and breakfast sausage were also very good. I have been here plenty of times and have brought my friends and family to this place for breakfast. The hollandaise sauce is delicious but everything else tastes like you could do it better at home. They burn the toast all the time and then look at you with a dumb face, like oh do you really need a new set of toast. Also unfriendly waitresses and the seating needs to be updated. Cushions are totally flat and uncomfortable. I used to go there every Friday for breakfast because it was convenient and on the same route to my job. These place is three stars at best. The food is OK. Nothing is WOW. The portions are average. The service sucks. No one is friendly or even pleasant. Darlene, the older waitress with very short hair has ZERO personality. There's no do you need anything?" Or "how's your meal?" It's just dropped at your table and if you can catch her going by to ask for ketchup or hot sauce, you're lucky. Forget refills or extra napkins. The one ray of sunshine in that miserable place is the kid who sells lottery tickets. The waitresses could take a lesson from him on how to be friendly and hospitable. And they leave the special board up from the previous day, so when you walk in at 10:30 and a pulled pork panini sounds awesome, only for grumpy cat the waitress to say we don't have specials. My ribeye was smaller than i expected but actually proportioned enough to fill your stomach. However i ordered well done and no pink as the desired cooking level for my meat. When my food arrived half of the steak was pink inside. It was not seasoned very well. The home fries weren't seasoned. Diner of choice for Chicopee High Alumni and it's always remained a go to breakfast spot in town. Portions are large and employees usually work fast and always remain courteous. Copperline homefries are in my opinion the best in town but just remember these potatoes are Absolutely not health food, but they taste phenomenal, probably from all the extra bacon fat that finds its way to smother these chunks of goodness. Now I'm hungry... Anyways I've rarely got their lunch since they serve breakfast until close and they do it well (lifesaver for hangovers), plus they usually have some unique specials that constantly change. Just be warned it could take awhile to get a seat on weekend mornings and there isn't much waiting room inside, but the breakfast is worth it. Weekdays usually always have a seat available and there is the small countertop you can sit at as well, but be prepared to engage in conversation with one of the more verbal locals. Delicious home fries and great apple cinnamon pancakes! This place has probably the best home fries i have ever had! I can't put my finger on what they season them with, but I want that recipe! Or just an endless supply every morning. Oh, something to know that I learned my first time there. There are two entrances: one from the convenience store and one from the side. The parking lot is always packed so be careful when entering and exiting, very tight spots. Anyway, when you get in, it's a seat yourself thing so just sit at any table you see and the bus boy will clean up the table from the people before you got there. Not good. My food (Copperline Special -- 3 eggs, 2 pancakes, home fries, toast and bacon) was all good, but the eggs benedict my husband ordered on the recommendation of the waitress was inedible. Hockey puck English muffins and really overdone eggs and an average hollandaise. When we mentioned it, the waitress first brought just a new English muffin, which seemed strange -- was he supposed to reassemble the breakfast? While very fast, the waitress just grabbed plates and disappeared, so we had no idea if she was having it remade or just took it off until she brought the bill and then told us she'd taken it off. Homemade hash was just a golubki without the cabbage.. very strange. The booths (booths and the counter are the only options available) are uncomfortable, broken down and have unsettlingly high sides so you feel like you're in a cubicle or a bucket or something and you have to peek over the sides. We were regular customers. We frequently visited at least once a week, spending around $50 and bringing many friends along. However, at our last visit today, a waitress came around asking tables, including ours, if we wanted fruit bowls. Out of courtesy, we accepted. A table behind us asked the same waitress why, and she told them they were trying to get rid of them, which made sense because the fruit was dried up and the grapes were shriveled. To our surprise, when we received the bill, they charged us $2.50 for those fruit bowls. It wasn't about the money, but because we were never told there was a charge and that it was presented to us and other tables as a treat on the house, like restaurants sometimes do, we felt strongly that we should not have been charged for it. I brought this to our waitress's attention, and she removed the charge. Shortly after, another waitress came to our table and said that they had changed their mind and that the owner said we will still have to pay, embarrassing us loudly in front of other patrons, and telling us not to come back. This has not been the first time we had encountered unprofessional behavior at this place. On several occasions before, the owner threatened one of the nicest waitresses we had encountered there in front of a full restaurant. The food is ok, but the overall vibe is beyond trashy. I understand that this place, for some reason is unreasonably busy. I have literally never been to a restaurant where they don't check in with you after they drop off your food. She left our food, didn't check in once, then just left the check. I literally couldn't eat more than a couple bites of my breakfast and the coffee is horrible. I don't understand how this place is so busy. If I could give no stars I would. I am happy that most of our bill wasn't covered by a gift card, otherwise this terrible dining experience would have been a lot worse. read more

The line at the door and service was fast. Everyone there is very kind and is always checking on you. Even on a very busy Sunday, everything was hustling! As far as food goes everything was amazing! Really great selection choices on the menu, unique specials and good portions for the price! Everything was cooked really well and nothing was too greasy or slimy like a lot of breakfast places can be. I gave 4 stars only because the restraunt is very small and so is the parking lot so it's a bit cramped in some ways. Great breakfast joint, well at least for the food. We arrived a bit over an hour before closing time, and unfortunately had a bit of a struggle finding our waitress at times. Odd, since place is tiny. Clean-up, breakdown, and set-up was in full force, and obviously the focal point of the staff. Why couldn't they wait to mop the floors, and especially the entryway moments after the final customer left and not before? Nothing like doing the bob and weave dance with a waitress and a bucket of soapy water. Nothing settles the stomach better. Onto better things - the food. Honestly it's great breakfast/diner type food. Preparation was good, taste was great, no complaints there. Quirky Keno window inside the restaurant that is open to a convenience store. I'd like to review this using 2 different approaches. Depending on your perspective it is a 3 or 4 star place. As such: 3 stars: If you are not reasonably close 4 stars: if you are in the neighborhood already Basically if you're here, it's a cool little breakfast place, greasy spoon-ish, where the service is old school, they cook the food in front of you, it's reasonably priced and things happen quickly. But if you have to drive more than, say, 20 minutes or so to get here, it's really not that amazing and I can't say it's worth the time to go out of your way. We were right in between the 2 when we were in town. Solid enough place, and we didn't have to drive too far. But I'm glad we didn't go out of the way to get here. Coffee was decent and filled up rapidly. I got the corned beef hash omelette and it was decent. I can't say it was amazing because the hash was off. They claimed it was homemade but I see others say otherwise and to me, it had a taste that wasn't quite right. I felt like canned hash tastes better. Not that I'm an expert on hash, as I eat it 1-2 times a year. But it wasn't right to me. Maybe that's what homemade is? Anyway, it was decent and the homefries were fantastic. Toast was fine. D got just some eggs and toast with hash browns and said my eggs are better. The hash browns looked better than they were but they were ok. I don't think the "cook only 1 side" approach is best, but it's not my place so I don't make the rules. Her meal was ok, and she liked my hash better than I did. We sat at the counter and watched the cook do his thing. I highly recommend that as it will turn the decent experience into something a little better. This is a great local spot. The service is great. It's not very big but has that diner food flavor going. I've only ever eaten breakfast there, so can only say that their breakfast is spot on. I never order French toast when I eat breakfast out...except here. It's soft and fluffy and not soggy at all. The kielbasa is also a favorite with my family. This place only gets 3 stars because the coffee SUCKS!!! For me coffee is essential so, while the food is great my hot beverage is not. My husband and I eat regularly at the Copperline Eatery, the staff are always friendly, and the meals from breakfast to lunch are always great. On July 11th We gave our grandson a graduation party, we had approximately 40 people here, our food was catered by Jeff and I believe Glen, the food was outstanding, they set everything up and came about three hours later and cleaned everything up.
