Friendly staff and delicious breakfasts! I had egg and bacon (extra crispy) on a bagel while my husband tackled a hefty breakfast burrito. I don't like cheese on my breakfast sandwiches but always go for crispy bacon, which they happily accommodated. The burrito-- with sausage, home fries, and more, was filling and tasty. Serve yourself coffee- hazelnut was a nice option to have. The cold case had plenty of options including some classic OJ. We sat upstairs though there was a counter looking out front as well as casual outdoor porch seating. We ordered, sat down-- the food was brought to us upstairs, and then paid as we left. The store was tastefully filled with local items, from maple products to books to hand printed flour sack towels. It was a very relaxing space and good food. We will definitely return.

Great to pick up essentials or a sandwich. A neighborhood gem. There are a few wines to go and house baked sweets.

We had the dark roast and would have thought it would be a little more robust in flavor but it wasn't. It seemed a bit weak like not enough coffee used or the roast wasn't roasted dark enough. The service was great however so that was a plus. Nice and friendly staff all the way around. There were a lot of locals there so it seems to do a decent business. But to be honest, it's the only coffee house in town. The place seemed a bit dark and dirty. The exhaust system must be not working or not strong enough because the entire place smelled of what ever was being cooked on the griddle. We sat upstairs and our eyes watered the entire time we were there. The odor got on our clothes and stuck with us until we got home. Their restroom wasn't clearly marked and was kind of hidden back by the kitchen area. It was also very dark where it was located. A little more light all the way around would be helpful. The concept and decor is a great idea but it felt more like what we use to call a "greasy spoon" restaurant than a quaint coffee house. It won't take much to make it better but as it is, can't say much good about the experience it Iron Coffee Co. I hope they take this review in a positive light as there really isn't much that needs to be done to make it a very special place to go for coffee. Note: We didn't have anything to eat so can't comment on that.

Visiting the Maple Reserve was on my list of places to go while in Vermont this weekend. Touristy?…read moreYes. Worth it? Heck yes! Stopped in on Saturday midday thinking I was going to get a latte and maple creemee. However when I get there, I saw some guys drinking beers at the bar which piqued my interest so I took another look at the menu. Why not get an Affogatotini? Caffeine and a maple creemee all in one! This was DELISH! The girls that work here are so nice. I visited twice in the same day and both times this place was swamped. They took it in stride and still had a smile on their face while working through the line. The Maple Reserve offers ice cream / creemees, coffee, pastries and serves alcohol. They have a little area where you can also buy pure Vermont maple syrup, jams, sauces, small kitchen accessories, etc.

I saw one woman chilling on her laptop who had bought 3 things for herself: a cup of ice cream, some sort of cocktail, and a boba drink. She looked like she was loving life. Made with espresso from locally roasted coffee beans, the affogato with maple creemee was absolutely divine. They drizzled more maple syrup atop the creemee. It wasn't too sweet and just perfectly creamy, as the name suggests. I was pleased to see that there were many gluten free options, including the waffles, which come on sticks like popsicles. Would make the 3 hour trip just to try those one day. The Maple Reserve is definitely Aya-approved.
