They boast one of the best places in America to have breakfast. I cannot dispute it. I haven't had another that beats it.

the food gets a 5 but the reason i give it a 4 is because of the interior of the place. its cozy but it oddly has carpet flooring and almost hindered my appetite. luckily the food was amazing. i ordered the malaysian breakfast and though the meat was very well seasoned and paired wonderfully with the over easy eggs. my friend opted for the mexican breakfast which also was pretty good. he also ordered the smores hot chocolate which was super fancy and fun! read more

The Corner is a cozy spot to grab breakfast or brunch. They use a QR code for the menu, but paper menu's if you need. They are also a cash only establishment, so don't forget to have a few bucks with you. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and home fries, with a side of french toast. Portions were a good size. Food flavor was good, I like a bit more seasoning myself. Staff was great. My waitress was very attentive and made sure I was good at all times. You can sit inside, which is nice and cozy, they have a bar area, or they have a nice patio area out front, with a nice view. I would recommend this spot for sure DC read more

Every few Sundays or so I remind myself that I have to go back to the Corner Resturant for brunch. I've been there about 3 times now and highly recommend it for smaller parties of 4 or less. Yes, I have seen larger parties of 6 or more, but the wait time (no reservations), can be very long. 1. Malaysian Pulled Pork (15) - a good serving of pulled pork (not too spicy) over a crispy rice bowl (see pics). The 4 pieces of sweet flatbread on the side was amazing. The entire dish is then topped with eggs and if that were not enough, it also comes with a side of homefries. The homefries seem a bit out of place, but it's just more food in case you are hungry! 2. African hash (14) - probably my favorite meal here. The hash is a spicy beef dish with eggs over an English muffin with a creamy hollandaise sauce covering everything. 3. Beef Empanada (14) - Not that great. The crust was thick and the filling was pretty much just cheese (couldn't taste the other ingredients at all). I would have thought this was a cheese empanada had not the menu said it included beef and onions. Recommend against. 4. Crab Cake Benedict (14) - Love the crab cakes. And anything with eggs benedict is great. Compared to the other dishes, this one is a bit on the smaller side (see pictures). 5. Side of French Toast (7) - Tastes great. Three thick slices of french bread. Very heavy and it fills you up quickly! Service is great, efficient and the food comes out quickly. I heard about this spot from my brother who lives around the corner. Turns out it was on TV too! There were so many options to choose from. We started with the avocado toast which was on an Italian bread instead of actual toast. The topping was very tasty! I got the French bread with spinach & feta...it was outrageous! My niece got the Mexican torta with chicken which was also magnificent! My boyfriend got the duck that was like a breakfast egg roll. The service was spectacular & the ambiance was adorable! Finally, a breakfast place that's different. Interesting menu here, even the basic menu is different. The specials menu is insane. African, Malaysian, Indian, so many different types of breakfast dishes and the two that I tried tasted as if it came out of a restaurant that is dedicated to that type of food. Very busy when I went on a Saturday. This place is small and cramped but cozy. The staff are all young but well trained. Friendly and accommodating. Now to the special Indian Spiced Pulled Duck with a heavy serving of eggs wrapped in a tortilla wrapped in bacon and a side of homefries. It was amazing. Tortilla was crispy, bacon just tied all the flavors together, Indian spices were accurate, pulled duck was very delicate and tasty eggs were heavy and perfect to get me strarted for the day. Homefries were homefries. It was just so unique and I'm glad I found a place that has so many different and unique options for breakfast. Oh and for my S'mores Hot Cocoa, it was soooooo good. I don't even like marshmallows in my hot cocoa but they made me love it. Marshmallows were torched, hot cocoa wasn't too sweet, just right, so good. Everything here was just right but all the specials can be a little expensive for breakfast. But I'm not complaining as I don't know anywhere else I could get it. I guess this place lived up to all the hype from the Cooking Channel, some celebrity visits and positive feed back from newspaper articles (etc.) and I'm glad it did. It's nice to have a place that serves something so unique. Wow I realise now how weird of a combination the food and interior of the restaurant is, doesn't match at all but I guess it adds to the unique vibe. Anyways, cash only and street parking. If you park on the street directly in from of the restaurant it's free 2 hour parking. We were pleasantly surprised to find this uniquely delicious breakfast/brunch here in Milford. The flavors were wonderfully global - I had the Malaysian Breakfast featuring some spicy pork, fried onions, and eggs, while my wife had the duck (which was a Indian-seasoned duck and egg breakfast burrito, wrapped in bacon, and fried - spicy and yummy!). Our 11yr old son says the pancakes were good and the service from our waitress, Vicky, was great! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town. read more

Great/stellar service at this quirky breakfast shop in Downtown Milford. On street parking and cash only are probably the only downfalls. Our food was very good I had the raisin apple cream cheese stuffed French toast which tasted like a delicious apple fritter, my husband had the Cuban breakfast which came with home fries and he declared very tasty as well. Water is served in crystal wine glasses, our iced teas in mason jars, definitely freshly brewed. It is decorated Victorian early era and older generations would like the old fashioned phone on the entry wall, younger kids were welcomed with high chair seating nearby. Their breakfast empanada with hollandaise on top is great. It is my wife's favorite from their menu, always beating anything else I pick in taste. Their coffees and teas are memorable as well, with cool unique mugs and often cute presentations. The cozy, tiny restaurant ambiance with retro décor is very welcoming. You absolutely feel like a warm mug between your fingers is just the natural thing to have immediately after you sit down. Their spinach and poached eggs platter was okay. It tasted healthy but it couldn't compete with the empanada's flavorful profile. The home fries require mixing with other seasoned elements of their dishes for them to shine. Not everything I've gotten has been great, but their menu is always interesting. However, the breakfast empanada is a surefire hit if you don't feel adventurous. read more

I definitely wasn't expecting to give this place TWO stars based on all of the great, positive reviews. But, I'm beginning to wonder what the draw of the place is? Maybe a pillar in the community being that upon entering you are greeted with lots of photos involving celebrities of some sort. The entryway is very small, thankfully when we arrived around 11:30, no-one else was waiting....although there were two tables empty, no-one came to seat us for 5-10 minutes, which left us feeling a bit awkward. Once we were seated, we found browning roses on top of an off-balance table. The decor of the place was...interesting. I saw that some people described it as being in someone's home. For us, it felt more like you were in a very dusty....attic? The carpet was really dirty and the shelf next to my head had dust building. Our order wasn't taken for about 15 minutes, including drinks. The waitress was pretty vocal throughout our time there about how another waitress had gone home sick and so she was alone. Which seemed odd- don't they have back-up help? The place seemed consistently busy...and very chaotic. We heard the waitress ask other customers, "How much cash did you give me, again?" She seems well-like and although things were chaotic, we appreciate that she came across as positive, despite clearly being stressed. Because of this, we gave her a larger tip. We can understand that having to be several roles in one person is a lot. Cleanliness is super important to us, especially when we're eating. There was a fly and I counted 3 gnats hanging out at our table. My husband was really uncomfortable and suggested we leave several times. It's just kind of...gross...to have bugs flying around your food like that. We stayed because I really wanted to see if the real highlight was the food. My pumpkin spice latte was tasty- I really enjoyed the sweet pumpkin seeds on top. I ordered the eggs benedict- good flavor, creamy sauce and perfectly cooked eggs. Hash tasted of garlic, which I don't mind, but the whole plate wasn't very warm, which was a bummer. My husband ordered the Trio of french toast and thought it was good, but nothing special. His orange juice was watered down. Upon leaving, there were 4-5 people waiting to be seated...including a service dog, lying on the ground. It was like going through a mine-field, trying not to step on the dog or tip over the hostess stand on the way out. Overall, we have absolutely no desire to go back. Truly impressive! I happened across this eatery by chance, it popped up on my screen on Instagram and had a great looking dish in the photo. After looking them up online and reading some of the dishes on the menu I knew I had to try it. I ordered two dishes to sample and shared them both; one was the South African Hash on English muffins with eggs and Bearnaise sauce and the other was the Trio of French Toast. They were both outstanding, I thought the South African hash was surprisingly different, great taste, great flavors and the right combination and portions of everything. The Trio of French Toast was also amazing, great flavor and just the right amount of sweet, not too sweet, just perfect. The three samples were so good that I want to go back and try each one individually; there is stuffed peaches and cream, stuffed cinnamon raisin with cream cheese and one slice of vanilla cake, soaked in sweet cream with fresh strawberries on top. They were all seasoned to perfection. Though I did not eat there, the atmosphere was so comfortable and eclectic and cozy, the staff that I encountered could not have been more pleasant. I can't wait till next time when I will actually eat there instead of taking my order to go. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for familiar feel good foods and flavors to something a little different and pleasantly enjoyable. Next time I hope I'll be able to try something different and not order the same thing again! Either way I'm looking forward to my next visit already. read more

My sister and brother in law are regulars here and recently took us for Sunday brunch. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a table at noon on a Sunday. When you walk in the ambiance is that of your great aunt's living and dining room. It's very homey, laid back and eclectic. Overall it's a little squished and noisy, but it has good energy. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito (with the hollandaise on the side) and it was so good. Very flavorful, a good amount of spice and a big portion of food. I dipped the occasional bite into the hollandaise, but the burrito was very good even without it. My husband had the Malaysian pulled pork meal and said that the contents and flavors were definitely more on the lunch side of the brunch spectrum. He said it was unexpected and enjoyable. I can see why my family members are regulars. Hopefully we'll be back soon! read more

Wow! So glad to have found this place! We were in town for a wedding and looking for some yummy brunch on Sunday morning with cousins (11 adults, 2 toddlers). The staff was great in taking reservations and we had no problem getting the table when we showed up on time. The tasso and the malayasian spiced pulled pork were both great! Large portions, well spiced and flavored...I'd have either again gladly, or try another! The menu is so different- we loved seeing dishes from around the world and it wasn't a watered down dish tipping to a chef overreaching, but an experienced and talented hand for sure. 15 minute wait at 11AM on a Sunday, a bit noisy with loud voices and plentiful laughter. Food arrived in less than 10 minutes after order was placed (on handwritten green guest checks). I had the African hash - great dish! My wife opted for the duck wrap which also received glowing accolades. Ample portion of home fries but you need to open 5-6 ketchup packets to get the ketchup you need for it. That's how ketchup is served to you. I had eggs Benedict with a goat cheese medallion. Sounds great but something off in taste with this goat cheese medallion. The texture is very weird. Chewy and honestly kind of gross. Coffee was comped after I told the server about the meal.
