The food is amazing but used to be way better however... $72.64 for pancakes, French toast, goat cheese medallions and breakfast empanadas. 2 coffee and 2 chocolate milks... cash only so bring extra. Bathrooms smelled funny, lack of servers and the owner is just talking it up without serving to help with short staffing. We used to go here a lot, but with the increasing prices and obvious shortness in help we may wait til next year to go back. I got takeout from here today after getting off the train. After a miserable night being stuck in a storm in New York, I was starving and needed to pick up something on the way home. I used to take my 4 kids to breakfast there every Sunday before the new owners and it was always top notch. A simple "I'm sorry our business did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback" sends a strong message that while you appreciate the feedback and are sorry the customer was dissatisfied, you stand by your business practices. Best Brunch EVER!! Such a unique menu with food options from all over the world. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. I have been here a bunch of times and tried half the menu and have not found a bad dish. Everything they do is excellent. The Spiced Indian Duck Tortilla is to die for. If you are a 1st timer that is my recommendation. You will not be disappointing The only negatives would be there usually is a line but I have never waited that long and I expect there to be a lot of people there when you go to the best place. You can feel the love in the air. We have tried pretty much everything on the menu and was never disappointed. Their peaches and cream French toast is to die for. I was looking for a sit-down breakfast and this quaint storefront near a park and pond looked inviting. As I walked in, I was greeted by everyone there and sat at the counter. I was the only customer at the time this mid-morning Tuesday. NOTE: A sign in the entrance says something like "No Credit Cards Accepted. There is an ATM". The place is only open for breakfast and lunch. The phone never stopped ringing for folks seeking reservations. The duck breakfast is apparently a specialty. It is a spicy (i.e., pepper hot) confit-like duck preparation in a croissant with delightfully creamy scrambled eggs and a flavorful cheese. I thought the menu said there was smoked bacon, but I did not taste or see any. An ample portion of home-fried potatoes with green/red peppers was a side. I did enjoy the breakfast and it upheld me for 11 miles of server-suggested walking destinations in Milford and other nearby beach towns. They serve traditional and other unique breakfast fare which looked delicious as it went by. I will say this is not an inexpensive place; the duck specialty was $16. With coffee and a nice, well-earned tip the total was $25. Try this place in Milford. I would certainly return, but maybe go for something less exotic. read more

Kept seeing all the reviews that said, 'Go to the Corner Restaurant', 'Go to the Corner Restaurant'. Usually when I hear this type of hype, the place is a major let down. Luckily for the Corner Restaurant, this joint lives up to all the chatter. The decor is a blast from the past....it brings me back to grandmas (which is a huge plus btw). Now onto the main act, the brekkie. I ordered the South Indian Spiced Pulled Duck breakfast and my mouth literally had a foodgasm. Apparently this dish was featured on the Food Network & it 100% makes sense why. To explain this dish, it's eggs & Indian spiced pulled duck en croute then get this, it's wrapped in bacon! It's a flavor explosion in the mouth and I scarfed this puppy down so fast. The Indian spices were the perfect flavor & maybe better than any flavor I have had at an actual Indian restaurant. This place is the real McCoy & definitely worth the visit. Also, on the way in/out there is a celebrity picture wall and Milford native Christy Carlson Romano is on there. I go just for this. But everything on the menu is incredible and anyone who is passing along 95 or route 1 and it is near breakfast time, well you "need" to stop and have breakfast here. Simply the finest breakfast I have found anywhere! Over the years I have tried every dish on the regular menu, and every one has been superb. My favorite is the blackened eggs. They also have some healthier menu choices; since I have been following a vegetarian diet lately, this has come in handy. I have always had great service; the staff are like a family (in a couple cases literally family members of the owners). The decor is cute and gives the restaurant a "home" feeling. This is absolutely my favorite brunch spot in Milford! I have never been disappointed by the food or service and the decor is also very charming--warm and cozy like a living room of a old house. Breakfast is served all day, so quite often I order off of the brunch menu at lunchtime. The stuffed french toast is amazing, the flaky flatbread is also another favorite of mine. They have several variations of eggs benedict and all are fabulous. The fact that this place has a wait every weekend tells how great it is. I work nearby, so luckily my weekday visits have little or no wait. Apparently, word has definitely gotten out about this place, as I learned during my recent visit that the Food Network paid a visit and will feature it on an upcoming show. I've had this place bookmarked for a while. This past Sunday we visited a church in the area. We decided brunch was a perfect idea after church plus it would be our first time eating out with the baby. Of course I turn to Yelp and search "kid friendly restaurants" and here we are. When you first walk through the doors there is a cozy space resembling a foyer and then a small seating /waiting to be seated area. While waiting you can take a look at their wall of fame and accolades. It was packed when we arrived. 3 parties were in front of us. Surprisingly it didn't take as long as I expected. By the time the I reached the "wall of fame" the line was out the door and on the side walk. However, before I forget, this is a CASH ONLY establishment. I always wonder what's the reason behind being cash only especially since this is the technology era and cards are the norm nevertheless, there is an ATM on site. We were seated and our waitress Erin was amazing. The restaurant is cozy but they utilize the space very well. They also have a few seats at the counter (a couple 2 parties behind us were seated first) if you don't have a table preference. The menu is so unique. I have not seen anything like it. Firstly, they have a drink menu that is whimsical yet seasonally appropriate. The Spicy Chai Latte comes with chocolate covered sunflower seed, a Belgium cookie and don't forget the whipped cream. I couldn't make a choice even though I was leaning toward the Chai Latte; I ordered a hot cocoa and hubby had an orange juice; oh excuse me...freshly squeezed orange juice (love this place). Like my drink I couldn't make a choice on what to eat. If I chose one thing I felt like I'd be missing out on something else...lol I decided on the french toast trio (strawberry banana stuffed, apple raisin stuffed and a vanilla cake soaked in sweet cream) and hubby ordered the apple cinnamon raisin stuffed french toast with a side of bacon. As soon as we made our order I saw this beautiful plate being brought to another table. They say we eat with your eyes first.....whatever it was I wanted it. Erin, our waitress came back with the orange juice and I inquired about the dish and that I wanted to change my order.She ran back to the kitchen and then came back with a menu just to be sure I knew what the dish actually was. Shout out to the chef and the kitchen staff; our order came out rather quick. The Malaysian pulled pork with eggs (I asked for scrambled I believe it comes with over easy), crispy fried onions and ginger cradled in a rice wafer bowl that's surrounded by pita bread( just perfect to soak up the delicious gravy) was amazing. I've never tasted anything like this, it was so different yet so good! This dish was beautiful, loaded and tasty!!! Lets not forget it comes with a side of home fries. I was completely stuffed and happy with the last minute order switch. This place is such a vibe! You feel like your in someones home. The plates and cups are not uniformed but they all have artistic designs on them so you find yourself looking at another table like...oh cool cup. We even had friendly conversations with other patrons; some about the food the other about how good the baby was. The tasso, beef empanada, and crab cakes benedict are my faves. My husband loves the pulled duck. You may have to wait a bit for a table because this is a popular spot. OMG this place is truly amazing. I haven't been there for a while but will definitely not make up for lost time. Had the peaches and cream stuffed French toast. Words cannot describe how good it was. Also the Samoa hot chocolate is to die for. The owner took care of us and she couldn't have been more friendly. We said we had an appointment and put your brush the order it was literally out in 2 minutes Also had the toasted almond coffee.
