This is my favorite diner in Brick. It has this old school feel and this sense of family...like Grandma's in the kitchen cooking. I am here like every other day because I love the food, their chocolate cake and coffee. The young couple that owns this place really does a great job in making sure the service is pristine. My wife and I go here on a regular basis and always get good food and friendly service at very reasonable prices. The other day I ordered the spare rib special which I thought would be good as everything is ,was I surprised, it was as good or better than any rib place that I'd ever been to. I checked the local Yelp ratings for local diners and we decided to give The Corner Post Diner a chance. I was impressed immediately with the full course dinners they offered. Soup, Salad Bar, Bread/Corn Bread, Main Meal with 2 sides, Desert and coffee... The desserts were real nice fancy desserts not your typical jello and pudding. I am talking about an assortment of Crumb Pies; Apple, Lemon, Cherry to name a few. Plus Deep Forest Cake and many other specialty cakes. Came here today for the first time- always passed by it, but will definitely stop in more now! We had the farmer's omelette, the lox eggs and onions omelette, and the quiche. While everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, the quiche stole the show. I would definitely recommend trying it! Bring your appetite- you definitely won't leave hungry. read more

Very interesting place, a mixed bag of things but from our experiences all have been great! Food is fresh and nicely prepared. Wide selection of items including Delicious Gluten Free options. The food here is good and the service is as well. But, they do these weird theme's every so often. Right now, it's "the roaring twenties"... The place is decorated with bizarre decorations like strange looking feathers , beads, and weird gold things hanging from the ceiling fans. I feel sorry for the wait staff as they make the waitresses dress flapperish, while the waiters wear ugly ties, suspenders and fedora's. They set the mood off further with wacky sounding 20's music. To remember your 20's dining experience, there's a male shift photo both with props you can wear to join the fun. To this, add a bunch of nasty senior citizens, who were probably born in the 20's who are sitting there just as puzzled as I was So if you decide to have a meal during this roaring twenties theme, pinch yourself cause you'll probably feel like you in the Twilight Zone read more

This is what a diner should be. For people coming the first time it will take an hour to order. The omelette and breakfast menu is huge. The food is excellent here. I always split potato pancakes and a toasted croissant. The other day we split the Greek nachos. Amazing! There are great lunch specials and dinner specials. Tried this little diner today and was pleasantly surprised. It's very small and as soon as we walked in, felt like we were in an episode of the twilight zone. Every single patron was a senior citizen, not a bad thing but I couldn't tell if the food was going to be good or just cheap. Well, it was BOTH. Prime rib was cooked as ordered; medium rare. To make it even better it was only $13.99 for a piece that was close to a pound of delicious meat! The salad bar is very, very small but nonetheless good. We would definitely go back if we lived in the area. To us it was a hidden surprise that serves very good food at a very reasonable price. Service was also excellent. Everything from seafood to poultry to meat is well prepared here. Salad bar has a decent spread and the soups and desserts are absolutely delicious. My favorite is the lemon meringue pie. For breakfast, the pancakes are a must. Staff is very friendly and service is consistently good. read more

I'm giving the corner post Five Stars based solely on The BLT I just had. And although it may sound trite I do believe that a diner being able to make a sandwich like this is a very good benchmark. I love BLTs and have been disappointed so many times. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. This sandwich was so loaded it was hard to get your mouth around it. If it's any indication of how other things on the menu are prepared and served and I believe it probably is then this is a terrific Diner/restaurant. I go for breakfeast, and dinner on the weekends, wish they would open a little early during the week, I start work at 630am. Its nice to have a good breakfeast before work. Cant have everything. My mom and I came here on Mother's Day and we're lucky enough to get the last booth available. The waitress greeted us quickly and was very friendly. They have a lot of different and unique menu items. I ended up with French toast, eggs and bacon. Everything was good except the bacon. It just didn't have any flavor at all. My mom said the same about it. French toast was very good and eggs were cooked pretty well too. Often when ordering eggs out you will get that greasy butter/oil burn around the edges of your eggs, I was very pleased to see that mine didn't come that way! Prices are reasonable and there are so many things on the menu I want to try I will definitely be back! read more

I've made my dislike of diner mediocrity known in the past and the Corner Post Diner shares some of the food similarities as every other diner in New Jersey. However, they do it extremely well, with tasty twists on common diner fare and some unique choices that you don't find in every other chain like diner. How about Snob French Toast? Excellent. Homemade quiche selection? Terrific. Not to mention a massive 100 omelet menu! And daily breakfast and dinner specials that are out of this world. But the food is not the only thing that makes this diner stand out from the sea of "same old" diners. Firstly, they make it fun by having various themes throughout the year, from the roaring twenties to the Fabulous sixties. They decorate accordingly and even the staff dress up for the theme of the season. And the staff, well the only thing I can say is they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. From the bus boys, to the wait staff, to the hostess, everyone makes you feel at home. While the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful, my favourite thing about the Corner Post Diner is the understanding and respect they have for the locals. We're here in the Jersey Shore, in a shore town, with many visitors during the summer months. So like other establishments, it can get busy in the summer. However, the respect and kindness they show the local's because of their understanding that it's the local's that get restaurants and the like through the entire year, not just the summer months, is what keeps me coming back for more. Sadly this in many private restaurants has been forgotten. Not to say that they are not friendly with tourists, they are, extremely friendly and welcoming, but when you're a regular it's just like you're good friends. Better than the rainbow diner. You get a lot for your money . I do have some complaints though. Romaine lettuce should be used instead of iceberg lettuce . The salad bar bread is not good . This is still a solid diner if you are in the mood for diner food. read more

Decent little diner, -more of a restaurant, but generally very good.. Generally not my first choice for a Sunday meal, but I`ll go when I don`t feel like driving too far from home.Portions are big ,food is generally good and well prepared, but sometimes the meats can be overcooked.The breads and soups are good, and the desert sizes are killer, with a nice choice of cakes and pies. Good value for the money and still much better than most chain restaurants Be prepared to take home half your dinner, you WILL eat! One review mentioned "bait and switch". I`ve never encountered that here..On the downside- it can be cold in the winter,kind of dark inside , 50s and 60s recorded music with way too many doo wop songs .But the hostess-cashier will make you laugh!. read more
