came here after hiking in malibu, and it didn't disappoint !! we got 2 of the sausage, egg, & cheese breakfast burritos but the menu is extensive ~ burritos, sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. you name it, and they probably have it. overall, the food was solid but nothing too crazy. the salsa that comes with it is really what makes the burrito shine. however, it wasn't as filling as i expected it to be. we went around 4pm on a sunday and were 1 of 2 people there, so there's no wait !! there's a small parking lot to the right of the shop. you can sit on one of the few tables they have and enjoy your food !! read more

You can never go wrong with a breakfast burrito from Country Kitchen. It's a Malibu/LA staple, and rightfully so. I think they use mashed tater tots in the burritos so there's a delicious crisp to the burritos, and they sauces they have are sooo good. Pretty neat little spot that does have good burritos specifically breakfast burritos. They are also not massive, thus not a gut bomb! Price ranges from about 8-10 bucks for one so not too bad price wise either. Staff was nice and quick as well. Of note there is only outdoor seating so it's more of a dip in and grab a bite and eat at one of their three outdoor tables or trek down the road a little bit and hang out by the beach. Hidden gem. Locals in Malibu know and love this place. They're famous for their cheeseburgers but I had a tuna wrap which I liked a lot. My kids got burgers and enjoyed them. It's more of a stand than a restaurant. Order your food at the counter and then sit on one of the few tables outside. And it's right on the Pacific Coast Highway, which offers a beautiful ocean view. read more

5 stars must be contextualized. This is a food stand; a walk up window with a kitchen behind it. Seating is limited, outside, in a lot, but pleasant given it is Malibu. As food stands go, this one is excellent. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The menu is broad and yet quality is consistent. Service is prompt, polite, and no nonsense. The only thing making me consider lower than 5 stars is the setting, but 4 stars would by a lowball. Which brings me back to context. My crew and I are working in Malibu after the disaster, we only get a 30 minute lunch, on 3 different occasions we've called in our order for pick up but when we show up 15 minutes later to pick it up it's not even ready, once it does come out we get 15 minutes if that to cram our lunch down our throats so we can get back to work in time. Love the breakfast burritos at this spot. I usually always get the bacon or sausage one but I tried the Al pastor one this time- it was good but a little dry and I would stick with bacon next time. All the burrito ingredients are evenly dispersed and the burrito comes very hot every-time which is nice. Great hole in the wall, all of their food is really good. Make sure you pick up salt, mustard, salsa, and ketchup to make your food how you like it. The tuna melt and the chicken melt are great but I always add mustard. I like the way they don't add it for you, they leave it to you to add the salt and mustard as you like it. Same with the fries, they are not very salty so I add more salt. They have fresh orange juice on the weekends. read more

The Country Kitchen breakfast burrito is one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. This place might not seem like much from the outside, but the little hut on the side of the PCH is a must try. My favorite burrito is the bacon potato egg and cheese with salsa & avocado, but you can't really go wrong with any of the breakfast burritos here. I've heard the burgers are also incredible. The seating area is not open right now because of covid, but I highly recommend grabbing one of these burritos to go and having it on the beach in Malibu. The perfect way to start any day! read more

When I received the burrito, he didn't even respond back when i said "thank you, have a great day." When i realize there is no sauce, i ask for the red sauce. He literally didn't respond and picked up the phone. After asking again, he said 50 cents. After telling him, i've received red sauce for free in my multiple and multiple purchases prior. Came here to grab a breakfast burrito for our morning drive from malibu to LA. Saw all the great reviews and had to try one! It was tasty but nothing amazing. I got the bacon breakfast burrito and got both green and red salsa. I liked the red salsa better than the green. The burrito wasn't mixed well enough. I would get a bit of all egg then a bit of all bacon. The eggs were also a bit watery. It's a window where you order. There are picnic tables outside but I would recommend ordering to go. I was a little worried that the expectations were growing a little too much, but when we got there, I was nonetheless excited. It's more of a burger-counter type location...only a few tables that seat no more than 4 people and you literally order from the counter. I ordered the bacon, sausage, potato and egg, easy on the potatoes. Dude, it was so so good, totally satisfied my craving. So simple, and just really hit the spot. With the spicy green salsa, its mm mmm pretty much gone in a few minutes. I've since gone thrice, always to get the bfast burrito, though I've really really wanted to try some of the other items, but it's hard to drive all that way and not get it. That's one of my faults, not trying new items when I already love what i love. But isn't that the safe play? Service - always been great and friendly with us...they prob recognize my face by now.
