Shared my pastrami burrito. Simple coffee.

PASTRAMI BREAKFAST BURRITO!!! Located right on the side of PCH this breakfast place opens early and gets busy early as well. It's a small place with very minimal outdoor seating. We love coming to this place before we hit the beach. We always get the pastrami breakfast burritos but my son just tried the carne asada burrito and he loved it! Always a must will in town. BREAKFAST BURRITOS SERVED ALL DAY!

My first time here. I ordered the sausage burrito bowl with the tortilla on the side. I should have taken a picture. Anyways it was so delicious! Crispy potatoes and eggs scrambled perfect. I loved the sausage too I recommend this for a filing delicious meal.

BREAKFAST BURRITO....enough said? One of the best ones I've ever had and would highly recommend you check them out. I ordered the ham, bacon, egg, and cheese and asked them to add peppers and jalapeños which took it to the next level -- you have to add these when you order one (if you can handle a little spice). The service was great and the chefs make everything fresh to order, so expect to wait 5-10 minutes for your food to be prepped. All in all, totally worth the price of admission for how good it is and the generous portion sizes!!

Definitely a hole-in-the wall hidden gem. Country Kitchen is located right off PCH and is literally an outdoor quick service window. There 2 tables and some chairs to eat out in front (outdoors, no shade other than the tree it's under), but oftentimes people grab it to go. They have burgers, sandwiches, breakfast/lunch burritos, omelets, chicken tenders, and sandwiches-a great variety! Since things are made fresh to order, there can be a line/wait and parking may be tough at times. PARKING: Limited spots in the strip mall where it is located. SAUSAGE, BACON, POTATO, EGG, & CHEESE BREAKFAST BURRITO: It was so yummy and made fresh upon ordering. The green salsa that it came with had a decent kick to it. flavorful and had a nice kick to it. Just make sure to ask for it if they forget to give you a serving with your burrito! Recommend it if you're in the area and want to grab some goodness to go!

I stopped by Country Kitchen and grabbed the potato, sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. It was really good. The sausage was amazing, you could tell it was a big link cut into pieces, juicy and flavorful. The hashbrowns were crispy, the eggs were fresh, and the cheese and tortilla was warm and soft. The salsa verde on the side was outstanding and tied everything together perfectly. I make the drive to Malibu every once in a while, and this spot can be easy to miss, it's right off the road without a huge sign. But if you're in the area, it's definitely worth the stop.

Solid hole-in-the wall breakfast burrito spot. The ingredients are fresh, well layered, and most importantly, tasty. Well priced relative to others in the LA area. The burrito itself is simple. I would have appreciated a more stacked burrito and more ingredient options. I eat a lot, and wasn't quite full when I finished my burrito. From a quality standpoint, no complaints. Very tasty. I just wanted more quantity and diversity inside my tortilla. Others might appreciate the fact that Country Kitchen sticks to the basics (and does the basics very well). Overall, a very good option for your breakfast burrito cravings in the LA/Malibu area.

Solid little hole in the wall for a hearty, piping hot, breakfast burrito! We had the bacon, sausage, potato and egg burrito. It was a solid size and the cooker perfectly with fluffy eggs and crispy potatoes. The sausage was whole and I wish it was sliced up for more even distribution but everything else was layered well. We had "hot" verde salsa on the side, it was just the right amount of kick but not spicy. Definitely recommend this addition!

I would say there was nothing substantially great or substantially bad about them, kind of run-of-the-mill beers. For food, we got the Southwest salad, which I would say was big enough to serve the entire shared table of about six people. We also got the seared Ahi tuna sandwich, which I would say was delicious but I suspect it may have been the culprit of about three days of stomach issues. I also had the sweet potato fries with a couple of different dipping sauces. So either the tuna or the dipping sauces definitely carried some bacteria that caused issues for a couple of days. I sincerely hope it wasn't the ahi tuna sandwich because it was tasty. Overall, I have some mixed emotions on this place, but it was pretty good so I am willing to give it another chance.

Saw some videos on social media of their off the menu lobster caesar wrap-- and let me tell you in the video it had huge pieces of lobster but the wrap I received barely had any pieces of lobster and they were tiny pieces about half a penny each piece. It also dripped everywhere-- there was so much watery sauce it was making a pool in my container, all over my arms, and on the table. Not practical for eating and it was super disappointing seeing the large pieces of lobster they give to influencers and what they actually serve. Also it was super underwhelming in flavor. Would not get again. We also got oysters and those were way overpriced for mid tasting oysters. The ones at Whole Foods are better than this. I was expecting mind blowing and sweet oysters if they're going to charge nearly $50 a dozen. The uni was also extremely fishy and not creamy and succulent. It wasn't that expensive but it was mid. Lobster roll also had tiny portions of lobster that were rubbery. I expected it to be amazing for how much it costs-- again disappointed. The clam chowder might as well have been a roasted potato chowder. It was tan/brown colored and not creamy just grainy and full of potatoes. Didn't taste anything like clam chowder. The burger was decent just overpriced. Hard pass on this spot. All hype and not worth the $ to eat mid/disappointing food. Oh they also forgot our ice tea order and took forever to get someone to help us get it. Mehhhhhhh.

Beach day + Malibu Seafood has become a tradition for me…read more A quick heads-up before you go: be patient. Parking can be tight, the line usually wraps around the shack, and everyone is hungry. But don't let that scare you off--the food is absolutely worth the wait. I've been here three times now, and one thing has never changed: the 3-piece fried fish and fries is mandatory. The portions are huge, and I'm calling it now... the best fish and chips in Los Angeles. The fish is unbelievably crispy on the outside, perfectly flaky on the inside, and fried exactly the way it should be. I used to order the fried seafood combo, which comes with fish, shrimp, scallops, and calamari. Everything is good, but the fish and shrimp are the stars, so now I just order the fish and chips with fried shrimp à la carte. One item that deserves way more attention on Yelp is the ceviche. It's ridiculously fresh, loaded with flavor, and served with crispy fried tortilla chips. Honestly, I'd order it every visit. The clam chowder is good too, but the ceviche steals the spotlight. The lobster roll is another surprise. I love Broad Street Oyster Company's lobster roll, but it's over almost as soon as it starts. Malibu Seafood's version is much more generous while still being packed with fresh lobster. Don't sleep on the steamed mussels either. Order a pound for the table and make sure you save the bread for the broth. That broth alone is worth coming back for. I always finish it off with one of their fresh-squeezed lemonades--the perfect pairing after a day at the beach. Seating can take a little patience too, but that's part of the experience. Grab a table overlooking the ocean and PCH if you can. Fresh seafood, ocean breeze, and flip-flops still covered in sand... that's Malibu done right. No reservations. No fancy dress code. Just outstanding seafood in one of the best casual beachside spots around. I'll keep coming back.

The best thing abot Sunset Restaurant, of course, is the stunning view of the beach and crashing surf from the tables closest to the windows. But, the food and service are better than they need to be given the setting. Started with the raw oysters and the grilled octopus. Both were very good. Octopus was cooked perfectly and the oysters were so fresh and briny. Yum! Mains were the seafood linguine, the rock cod, and the wild salmon. Not a fan of wild salmon, so can't speak to that dish, but the rock cod was excellent- served with a tomato-olive sauce, and the linguine dish was absolutely packed with seafood. Our server, Scott, is a hospitality vet and a charming gentleman. We're far from being regulars at Sunset Restaurant, but he gave us the VIP treatment. We'll ask to be seated in his section next time we visit. Scott took extra care to see what my lactose-intolerant daughter could eat and made a big deal out of my wife's birthday. I appreciate when it feels like the waiter is invested in your dining-experience. Valet parking adjacent to the restaurant for only $10. Easy to get in and out, and you don't have to hunt for parking or park far away. So convenient. Just a fantastic return visit to Sunset Restaurant. It's a popular spot for motorcycle riders, and you'll often see dozens of bikes and motorcycle clubs gathering there. Since the restaurant sits right off the highway, it has a lively, unique atmosphere. We ordered the Neptune's Net Sampler, which comes with a variety of fried seafood and fries. Overall, it was good. I've been to quite a few fish and chips restaurants, so I felt the fried fish was good but not the best I've had. The fried shrimp, however, was crispy and delicious. My favorite was the calamari--the batter was incredibly light, soft, and airy, almost like eating a cloud. One downside is that the restaurant isn't very dog-friendly. While there is an outdoor patio, dogs aren't allowed in that area. The website mentions outdoor tables where dogs are welcome, but we couldn't find them, so we ended up eating in the parking lot instead. Another surprise was the $5 parking fee. They didn't charge for parking on previous visits, so that was a bit disappointing and one of the reasons I gave the restaurant four stars instead of five. Overall, Neptune's Net is still a fun place to visit if you're in the area.
