I walked into Joannie's for the first time in over ten years tonight. Wow, what a flashback! The place looks exactly the same! Small and tightly packed full of people. The biggest difference was there was a male bartender; back in the day it was always a female. The biggest surprise was the security guard, Eric! I've known him for years; it was nice to see a familiar face, especially after not going out for so many years! read more

It had that perfect, no-frills neighborhood bar energy. Nothing fancy, just good drinks, good people, and a place you could unwind. Lately though, it's been... different. I'm all for an owner being hands-on, but there's a fine line between being part of the atmosphere and becoming the atmosphere. When the loudest, most distracting person in the room is supposed to be running the place, it makes it tough to enjoy the night. Look, it's still got potential. The bones of a great dive bar are there. But maybe the focus could shift back to what made this place special to begin with: the customers, the bartenders, the vibe... not the drama. read more

This place has the bones to be a great dive bar good drinks, decent pool tables, solid crowd. But one thing really drags it down: the nonstop oversharing. Last time I stopped in, I got to hear all about Lacey's upcoming tummy tuck on July 31st way too much detail for people just trying to relax with a drink. I genuinely wish her a smooth recovery, but I'm not sure if the bar will be better or worse without her for a while "sarcasm." This place could be so much better if the vibe stayed on the drinks and the games, not someone's life story on repeat. Strong drinks, good music, and less unsolicited drama would make this place an easy five stars. Here's hoping they figure that out. read more

Joannie's is a long time staple of old town Murrieta, so much so that they are grandfathered in and can serve drinks beginning at 6am. They have THE best Bloody Mary's! With or without horseradish, their mixes are made fresh with their secret house recipe. The staff is super friendly and you can always strike up a conversation with one of the regulars if you are so inclined. They have 2 pool tables to keep you entertained. Pulling up a stool feels like coming home after a long day at work. The ambiance is great and so are the cocktails. read more

We just love our hometown bar! Everyone we run into loves this bar. The bartenders are wonderful, the regulars are regular, and the all around vibe is welcoming! Sometimes we enjoy karaoke and pool. I can't sing or shoot pool but its nice that its available and people watching gives us so much entertainment! With all that being said, why so much hate in the past month? About 5 different reviews, with only 1 review each (reviews of Joannies) are so vindictive. Almost seems like fake accounts. Looks like someone was 86'd and is really really upset. Wondering when this person will get over it and move on. There's another bar down the street, you can always try again there. In the future, Be kind, because wrongful revenge is unbecoming. Great little spot, you can play pool and they have a good selection of beers. Definitely has that local water hole feel. The bartender was extremely accommodating and got our drinks to us quickly. And they give you the ability to queue some of your favorite bangers over the speakers. read more

Definitely a dive bar with limited seating . They have only 2 beers on draft however they do have a variety of bottled beers for those who do not drink coorslight or budlight. There is also 2 pool tables in this establishment . I would not say this is my go to spot to hangout , it is more like you end up there cause someone from your group wanted to go there to check it out.
