This is our go-to breakfast spot at the lake, partially because it is close to our condo but mainly because it is always a positive experience. The food is what you'd expect from a diner, but it is consistently good quality. Service is friendly even though the place is typically pretty crowded. That said, we never wait too long for a seat since they turn over tables relatively quickly. I'd recommend getting here by 9am or earlier on the weekends if you want little to no wait. For the money ($5-10 per person), the portions are a great size. The omelets in particular are a large serving and you also get two sides. I typically order the Greek or Veggie Omelet, or the standard Two Eggs with Two Breakfast Sides. Those are all great options in my book. The food comes out quickly, and your coffee and water will rarely be empty. Also, you pay at the counter, so you can eat as slow or as fast as you want. If you are looking for a quick, yummy breakfast at the lake, Cozy Cafe is a good option. While there is no view of the lake (in fact, it is on the other side of 54 from the lake), they will get you in and out quickly so you can get on the water that much faster. This morning I had the best breakfast at the cozy cafe. I ordered the Hungry Jack breakfast in which I got 3 eggs (over medium), sausage, bacon, ham, hash browns, toast, and a pancake. The eggs were good, maybe a little undercooked but I do not mind eggs over easy. The sausage patties were crisp but not over cooked. The bacon and ham we both perfectly crisp with a nice Smokey flavor. The hash browns were cooked through but not overly crispy and went well the the meat and eggs. The toast was crisp and buttered up and cleaned up the breakfast well. Lastly, I finished the pancake, a large fluffy buttermilk pancake. It was excellent. It was not an easy feat finishing this breakfast because the serving size was gigantic. However, it was a pleasure to do so because of the quality of the food. The waitstaff was great, they had a lot on their hands with a packed house, but were able to take great care of us. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend to family and friends. read more

Yum! If you are ready for a breakfast that is allll American get the #1. Two eggs over easy, hash browns, crispy bacon and perfectly browned buttered toast. Orange juice that tasted fresh squeezed. When you have been at lake and up too late this was perfect. Breakfast and brunch. You don't have to wake up early or go to chain restaurant to get a great breakfast! The menu said they have been open since 1994 I'm surprised there were no previous reviews. This is a real nice breakfast and lunch place. Nothing special just good food and service. My wife and I stop in for breakfast whenever we are in town. It's one of those seat yourself kind of places that reminds me of the old mom and pop dinners to in the 70's Don't be surprised when the fire department shows up, this must be a favorite place for them and the locals. One last thing, the service really is pretty good, from the moment I sat down to food being served was 15 minutes tops! Nice small town cafe. Friendly hard working folks, serving up some pretty good breakfast. I had the Eggs Benedict and hubby had an omelet. Both were served fresh hot and plenty of it. His omelet looked so light and fluffy. Big enough to feed a small family and to my surprise he ate the whole thing. Coffee was hot, strong and much appreciated. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. We've been three times now. The most recent visit I ordered a BLT. I was so looking forward to one and so disappointed. The bacon was sitting on the sandwich in little bitty pieces, no strips of bacon. The tomato was not ripe. Service not great. I give up on the Cozy. read more

Awesome food! Can't go wrong here! I've searched for years to find somewhere better than ihops pancakes to only be disappointed. Let me tell you I've found it here as they are amazing! I simply could not stop eating, it was kind of pricey but I think that may be do to the fact I wanted to try it all. The meal lasted all the way to dinner without needing lunch. Went to this cafe on the recommendation of the concierge at the Tan Tar A resort who said the cafe has really good breakfast. Arrived at the cafe - the place was packed on a Sunday morning so we figured it was going to be good. My mistake. We ended up waiting to get seated for about 20 minutes. Once seated, we ordered food which took at least 30 minutes to arrive (we only ordered two meals). Me and my gf ordered the 1-2-3 with French toast. The French toast had no flavor. My scrambled eggs had a lot of shells and no flavor. My gf ordered eggs over hard and they were raw and inedible. The only good part about the meals was the bacon and sausage links. The butter was fake and so was the bland syrup. Lastly, the cafe is very small and loud which means I could barely hear the person sitting across from me. If you're just looking for cheap breakfast, go to McDonalds. Avoid this place. read more

Cozy Cafe is a hidden jewel in the Lake Region. Folks are super friendly. We had breakfast, and what a breakfast it was! The breakfast burrito was GREAT! This was a great find! Cute little cafe with friendly service. The cinnamon roll was as big as a dinner plate and delicious!
