None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.

Now I pass what I know on to my clients so they can enjoy new windows without the sticker shock. The waiting time can be long-it was at times during and right after the pandemic, due to material shortage, but that was the same everywhere else. The wait was always worth it. Customer service is excellent, as is the communication. Quotes are thorough and easy to understand: please note that you need to provide the rough opening size, and they will make sure to select the correct window size. Pick-up is simple and everyone is helpful and giving a hand to get you loaded. I do need to mention that the contractor I work with does the installation. I have only ordered the windows, never had SW install them. This is my go-to for anything window-related.

My project was complicated because my 1980s drywall shafts were the wrong size for modern solar blinds. Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. Replacing the roof took only one day, the crew arrived early and worked very hard. I also had the gutters replaced, opting for 6" gutters.
