The Crepe Club in downtown Mesa is sooooo good. This is a fairly small, quiet restaurant. It is always spotlessly clean and welcoming. It is never busy, so it's like having a personal chef and the crepes are amazing! It's a bit off the beaten path, so you have to go find it. It's on the ground floor of the ASU building. Try it. Why did I just take a bite of my pastry and it's rock hard and stone cold? You would think if I am getting a pastry and coffee that it would be warmed. Very disappointed in this spot, now I have to walk around with a rock hard pastry until I get home and warm it myself and that defeats the purpose of my wanting to quickly stop in and get a pastry to get me by until lunch. I would leave a zero if I could. They open at 9: 00- we showed up this morning a couple minutes before 9 and was told by the guy working the front that their skillets had not been turned on and it would be 15 minutes until they warmed up. Waited 15 minutes and then he told us that he didn't have any batter to make crepes. All the chairs were still on the counters- nothing had been prepared to open. I hope management sees this and addresses- I wouldn't want to depend on this guy to operate the daily functions of my business, which clearly he isn't. Really unfortunate!!! I went here Saturday before attending a book festival, and they were open a bit earlier than advertised which was nice. The Atmosphere was amazing. The food was to die for, I love going around and finding good crepes and this was amazing and I also like trying to find a good hot chocolate since I don't drink coffee and this was going to be my second try for hot chocolate and it was amazingly made. First time I finished both in a long time. The owner is so amazing and sweet. His customer service is on point and is very thoughtful. I will go here every time I'm back in the area.
