A good spot if you want to grab a drink by the water. The bar is right by the pool so it can get a little noisy during the day but the view is great and they have tvs in case there's a game you want to watch. Plus I really enjoyed my chicken bowl.

Service is very inconsistent and quality of food is also inconsistent. I ordered the same drink twice and got it made completely different both times. Ordered the Caesar salad, which I thought was below average. Breadcrumbs and pickled onions are a bit weird on a Caesar salad. The nachos were very bland and I'm not sure what kind of cheese they used, but it had the consistency of a fake nut cheese. Also got the mahi-mahi tacos, which were may be a 6/10. My husband got the cheeseburger and said it was below average and didn't have much flavor and then he also got the poke bowl what she said was OK. Every time we ordered something from the pool deck, they delivered the food or drinks, but then never came back to check on us .

Good food, friendly staff. A bit pricy for what you get but I guess "it's the island". Drink menu is a bit limited on beers but the bar tender can make you about anything, and with a sense of humor!

Great food and great views! This place was at the resort my husband and I were staying at. The chicken wings were crispy and the seasoning was amazing! The hurricane fries were full of flavor. This was hands down one of our favorite meals in Hawaii.

We came here while waiting for our room which took longer than expected. 1 calamari, 1 virgin pina colada, and 1 lime in coconut cost $50.26. The calamari took forever to arrive and while it was good was very small for the price of $18

Maria and I really enjoyed our visit today and our food was delicious

Generous portions, prompt and friendly service, amenable to all my special requests. Btw the generous portions were really generous. The seared ahi on my Caesar salad was a huge slab, and the salad itself was huge.

Great service, drinks, and food. You can't beat the beachside view. It's a little spendy but since we're staying at the hotel, it's convenient. I recommend it!

So, I think this is the same place as the Fire Hen, but I'm not sure. That was part of our confusion. You just kind of sit down at a table in a vaguely defined area and hope someone comes by. Eventually someone did and we were able to order food and drinks. The cheeseburger, which I dont think is on their regular menu, was amazing. One of the best I've had in a long time. My wife liked the chicken tenders she ordered as well. Its fun to sit there poolside close to the ocean. Nice vibes. I just wish it was a little clearer what you're supposed to do. The tables dont get bussed very often so it's likely you'll have to sit down at a cluttered table until someone comes by. Yeah, kinda strange but overall we had a great experience. The server was very friendly.

Eh, not too good. Especially not for the price. I don't usually mention price but my $24 burger was not the quality of burger you deserve for your 24 bucks. . . Here is the deal. It is in a hotel at the pool in front of the beach. They have a captive audience and the view is pretty. It is. There is some live music in the evening and it's the islands and I get it. Things are expensive but the quality is just not there. Crappy patty, overcooked. The fries were good and crispy and the Taro bun was very good. The beef just wasn't there for me. It wasn't just the burger either. I thought the drafts were a bit warm and the whole menu was expensive for what you get. You are paying for convenience. I have been staying at this hotel for years and I feel like the quality has been on a slow and steady decline. I haven't reviewed before because this is "just a pool bar" but I am hoping a few reviews wakes the management up. It's a sad little pool bar that probably rakes in some money on marginal food and uninspired service to a captive audience. I'm here for work. I eat here sometimes, I may even come back but this place is just a sad place. I would actually be a little depressed if I was here for a meal on vacation. This part of the island is not known for its food offerings but if I can I will probably try to go somewhere else next time I'm in town if it's not raining.

Stayed at this resort and had several dinners at the Crooked Surf. Their BBQ Beef and Macaroni Salad was delicious.

A waiter came around and then offered to take our order. Then when time went, another girl asked if someone already came by and helped us. We ordered a few things off the menu it being our first time back after two years. This time, everything was delicious! From the appetizers, to the salad, to our entrees. They have really came a long way! The wasabi Caesar dressing, delicious! Bao bun, soft and tasty! The scallop appetizers, sauted in bacon and bacon fat... oh my goodness! Our filet mignon cooked to perfection! The poached lobster and squid ink noodles with lobster bisque.. my favorite! Our waitress, which she didnt even tell us her name, did a mediocre job. We really tipped her more than she deserved, but I hope the bartender got a good portion of that tip we left. Thank you Stephanie, our bartender! All the kudos to you for making us feel welcomed, and really making our experience all the more better! This is our second trip to Kauaʻi, and without a doubt, this has been the best restaurant experience we've had on the island. Every dish we ordered was incredibly flavorful and generously portioned. My fiancé couldn't stop talking about the mussel and shrimp pasta--he said it was the best pasta dish he's ever had. My mom ordered the catch of the day with risotto and said it was the best risotto she's ever tasted. The flavors of the fresh fish and risotto complemented each other perfectly. I had the teriyaki ribs, and I absolutely fell in love with the teriyaki sauce. It had the perfect balance of savory and sweet without being overpowering, making every bite delicious. The owner was one of the sweetest and most hospitable people we've met. She went above and beyond by personally making my mom a custom mocktail, which she absolutely loved. That level of genuine hospitality made our experience even more special. 10/10--we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kauaʻi. We loved every minute of our meal, and my fiancé kept saying he wishes we had a place like this on Oʻahu. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!

When we pulled up around 7pm, there was just 1 other party that was there and they were seated outside. There was live music and we asked to be seated right in front of him. Boy, that was a big mistake as the speaker was right there and it was very difficult for me and my wife to carry any kind of conversation. That was mostly my fault and I should have asked to be seated a few tables back. But it was fine as the musician was great the whole night with his soothing voice and relaxing tunes. There were only 2 servers at the time so getting my drink refilled was a little slow. We ordered the fried enoki mushrooms. Not sure where they were going with this dish as enoki mushrooms don't really have any taste to them. Plus it's a little stringy. I thought it was a little oily. Not sure if the oil was hot enough when they fried this, but it was a bit greasy and since it didn't have any taste to it, the tartar sauce pretty much carried the dish. My ribeye, however, was great. It was cooked medium-rare with a lot of mashed potatoes. The peppercorn cream sauce was a nice touch and didn't overshadow the meat. The one thing I would suggest is that the ribeye was on the thin side, so it didn't get that char crispiness that you would be able to get on a thicker steak. Since I asked for it to be medium rare, getting the desired texture would not be possible. I would have liked to be thicker as the bite would be more substantial. I normally associate a thin cut to a cheap or budget steak. Flavor-wise and temp, it was perfect. There was so much mashed potatoes that I ended up leaving half of it on the plate. It's a garlic mash and really tasty. The Osso Buco was tender, fall off the bone. I did, however, find it to be a little too salty though. You also get a lot of Risotto. They do not skimp on portions here. Great find.

The buns are baked fresh in little skillets with the most amazing butter! Soft and hot, slightly sweet and yummy! The lentils have a strong cumin flavour, making them taste more like curry but the spinach is non existent or cooked down into the sauce but I didn't see any and the tomato cream holds it all together. Fresh fish of the day, tomato couscous, sun dried tomatoes and fresh cherry tomatoes. This was delicious! Highly recommend! Finally the pizzetta with pork belly, pineapple jam and pickled peppers was also very tasty. The crust is thin but not flimsy. Just enough to hold the toppings. I wouldn't have ordered the brioche had I known this was an actual pizza! It's about an 8" pizza. The portions are generous sized for sharing. The waitress suggests two per person but only if you have a big appetite. I think three would be just right. We took the rest of the pizza home. Ambiance is great, staff is also very nice.
