*** CASH ONLY *** Normally I would go to this mom-and-pop Asian salon for an inexpensive haircut, but this time I decided to give this barbershop a try because most places are closed on the Labor Day. The Cutlery accepts walk-in and a haircut is $20 plus tip (or $30 with appointment). I got here at 5:45 PM and I didn't have to wait at all. My barber was very friendly and asked what style do I want. The setting was very relaxing (with a TV to keep you busy) and we had a good small talk about sports. My barber wasn't rushing (I will admit that it could be an issue when you are in a hurry and there are few other customers waiting ahead of you) and meticulously trimmed edges using warm shaving cream and razor at the end. After my haircut, not only did I feel like a new man - I actually smelled good after I walked out of the shop! I like the cut I got and it was well worth $20. P.S. - Street parking only, but it shouldn't be that difficult to find one in this area.

Recently moved into the area. Hard to find a good barber for my 5 yr old. First time I took my boy, it was packed but they had like 6 chairs working. We're usually down to wait and save the extra $10 for appointments. First time, we got lucky I guess cuz Henry whipped my son's hair up something proper! With younger kids, its hard to find barbers that can do smooth blended low fades on their small heads. Then half the time, when you find someone who's fades are slick, they might not know what to do with the top for like a "gentlemen's cut". They end up clipping everything on the sides w a comb and end up with the Navy/Cop look lol. Second time wasn't quite as good. Henry couldn't take my son and the rest of the guys were booked til closing w appointments. So I knew I couldn't really complain, being that (1.) Another homie reluctantly said he'd stay and hook it up for my little dude and (2.) My son had school pics the following morning so even a rush job was better than nothing. It wasn't a hack job, just kinda rushed and went up higher in the back than I asked. So he ended up with that military look rather than the more current "gentlemen's cut" steeze. Definitely gonna go back, just hope we can have Henry hook it up on a slower day/time.

Tommy did a great job cleaning up my son and giving him a fresh look! I loved that he took his time to make sure he looked great. All the Barbers there are extremely professional and great at what they do. We will definitely be back.

I came as a walk in for my 2 year old son. They did a fantastic job. Exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely be back.

Tommy did an awesome job, very happy.

I guess I never wrote a review? I've been going here for maybe 5 years now…read more They do a great job for the price. Men cut $20, cash, and credit, venmo or zelle. Best to call or text to make an appointment. Ronnie does a good. Because I don't know vietnamese I usually just show a picture and says lengths and they can get it. Often they will shampoo and style your hair but I usually shower after any haircut. They usually have music playing and something on the TVs, I'm not a big fan talker so it's nice not having to make small talk while getting my haircut.

Background On Visit: Looked on the yelp app. to find another place to get a haircut…read more The things that drew to me this place was that: 1) It was close to home. 2) Haircut rate was cheaper ($20). 3) Lastly, the reviews were quite solid. Payment Type: They accept cash or venmo/zelle. Promotion: Currently, they have a promo for men and womens' hair. $15 for Men, $20 for Women, and they charge $5 if your hair is long. Last day for the deal is September 1, 2025. Reservations: Reservation is preferred, but you can also them to see if there is an opening. The times that I've patronized the shop, I just called in. Waited about 10 minutes Visitation Rights: 3 times and many more visits to come. Location/Parking: Located in the SW corner of Valley and Rio Hondo. Parking can be found either on Valley or on RIo Hondo, and in the shared parking lot in the back. Ambiance/Decor: Small little barber shop with hair salon type of decor. There's a couple of chairs in the front to sit while you wait your turn and a tv to keep yourself entertained. Service: Service is good. The price of the haircut also includes a hair wash and gel/style if you need it. The barbers take their time. No rushing here! Haircut Of Choice: Just a simple 1 1/2 inch on the side and trim on the top to do a comb over is good for me. Dat DG Hair Salon For Thought: Don't mind coming back to get a haircut.
