A little hole-in-the-wall, less than two miles away, and I had never been until a few days ago. Mainly a "to-go" type of place, but featuring Boar's Head products. Numerous specials, including daily ones. I particularly like all the options in the build your own sandwich section. No upcharge for anything except bacon, extra meat, extra cheese, and avocado. What a great spot near the airport. Super local, super fast, super delicious. The chili was meaty and delicious. Not too much tomato and came in a huge ceramic bowl. I appreciate that they specific it was beef as I don't eat pork. I had the Ruben which was delicious. The bread was crispy; plenty of meat and a really good Russian dressing. The egg salad was simple and toddler approved. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a quick bite or a reliable lunch spot. read more

I LOVE this place. I'll start with the service, the staff are always very friendly and attentive. The owner is a great guy, and will go above and beyond to meet your requests. The actual food itself is excellent, I've tried multiple sandwich options (my personal favorite is the Italian). The ingredients are always fresh and you can definitely taste it. Service is always quick, you can also place orders online via their website and set your pick-up time. We also have used them for catering at my place of business and they always try to give us the best options for your budget and work with you. All in all, its a small unassuming location, that is definitely worth multiple visits if you are in the area. read more

Great place to have a true Boars Head sandwich. The quality of the food is outstanding and the service is very friendly. I like it when I see young people providing remarkable service with a friendly smile and respectful attitude. I have eaten there a few times and they do not disappoint. Great menu and meat variety! A bit small for a big family but theres always take out. The prices are fair compared to others places of less quality. read more

Spot is great. Fresh, friendly and clean. Two complaints. A bit overpriced. This keeps me away at least twice a month. I always pay with a card and the square system has an uncomfortable tip procedure. Happy to not have to go to highland park for a great sandwich. read more

We just stopped in for lunch, I don't have any photos of the food because we ate it too quickly. We tried the meatball, cheesesteak and CBR sandwiches along with the gumbo, tortellini pasta salad and potato salad. Highly recommend them!!! The food was delicious! Excellent flavors! read more

Couldn't ask for a better soup and sandwich. The Rueben was fat and flavorful. Kale soup was awesome, so tired of the cookie cutter chains. Price is a little more than the corporate restaurant but so are the expenses. So glad to see a young guy giving it his all! read more

I've lived in WL my entire life and for some reason we never really went here. This place is fantastic at work we order sandwiches all the time and they are prompt and delicious. Love this place! I lived in Windsor Locks my entire life and had always seen it off of North, but never stopped in. A friend recommended it to me after the reopening, so I decided to go. Super cute atmosphere & fantastic service. I got a smoothie and it was just as good, if not better than smoothies I usually get from chain restaurants. I could tell it was made from fresh ingredients & was delicious. I also think it's great that they use fresh produce from other local businesses in/around town. I am for sure going back. read more

We had two 'build your own' sandwiches today. I got the tuna sandwich and it was the BEST tuna salad - very flavorful! The other sandwich was roast beef with horseradish sauce - SO good. The caprese side salad tasted yummy & fresh - nice option for a side. We ordered online and everything was packed & ready to pick up. On April 11, I rushed my family off the plane in order to get to these guys to grab a quick-but-tasty dinner before embarking on the remaining two hours of our long day of travel back to Westport. We arrived at 7:30 PM, 30 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, rather than having great pizza, great fried chicken, and an amazing grinder, we were instead served what felt more like the food that comes off of a gas station countertop diner than it did a restaurant that has WOW'd me in the past with they're fantastic food and friendly service. The greeting we received when we walked in; even though it was 30 minutes before closing, was less than enthusiastic to see us... it was clear right off the bat that everybody behind the counter was far more concerned about having their key in the front door at 7:59 then they were delivering great food and service. The grinder was OK. The fried chicken was pliable, but a couple of the pieces we ordered were dried out and shriveled up from sitting too long. The slices of pizza that we ordered, the guy didn't even bother, warming them up. Just pulled them out of the pizza slice case and threw them into a box... either that or if he did attempt to warm them up, they must've already turned the ovens off, and they threw it into a cold oven. A word of advice for the management of this restaurant, if you want to be out the door by 8 PM, close your restaurant at 7 PM so nobody comes in and bothers you all while you're trying to clean. To be fair, if you're thinking about this restaurant as a great stop for lunch, I would still recommend it as the food is ordinarily pretty good (and fresh at that time ) I've eaten here several times and I've never been disappointed.

My wife and I both ordered from their Lunch Specials menu. She had a Tempura Shrimp and Vegetable Bento Box ($14.50). It included a soup (or salad), 4 slices of California roll, two Shumai dumplings, three small vegetables, a big scoop of rice, and the tempuras - two shrimps, an onion ring, a broccoli floret and a sweet potato wedge. My order was a decent sized bowl of vegetable tofu soup ($4.50) and a Two Roll Maki Sushi Special (Salmon and Tuna Avocado) for $12.50. The rolls were appropriately "lunch sized" and were very good. We were treated very well and all of us enjoyed our food. I'd like to go back and dig a little deeper into their menu next time.
