Hot Lobster Roll and Fries (amazing fresh and hot and crispy fries!)
    Elizabeth C.

Friendly and responsive staff. This is important in an airport establishment. Nice menu of food options featuring local favorites. Plenty of bar seating and option to seat yourself anywhere. TVs with Closed Captions. (Mostly watched The Simpsons while there!)

So happy to finally have other options at BDL. They are open early, decent breakfast and lunch menu. Service was on point, sat at the bar. Recognized quickly and order placed fairly least as well. Had loaded fries so not much to review but they were good, hot, served fast and a large portion

The staple of almost any restaurant in the country is a burger and fries. Beercode Kitchen in Terminal A at Bradley Airport serves a fantastic burger! Cooked medium rare, huge with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions on a terrific bun. The fries were plentiful, crispy on the outside and a soft center. If you're hanging around Terminal A and hankering for a burger, check out the Beercode Kitchen

So I never thought I'd say airport food is good, but the lobster roll at Beercode was legit good! I knew I was going to have a tight connection, so opted to get a takeout order here and best decision ever! The lobster roll was perfection and the fries held up well too. Price wasn't terrible for airport food either. When I'm at Hanford airport I'll be back!

Beercode was really good!! Forgot to take pics, but I had the lobster roll and my husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. They were tasty and the fries were well made. Service was friendly, quick, and the prices were alright. This was a nice surprise given that BDL doesn't have many choices for food. I will definitely come back the next time I'm looking to eat at the airport!

Sat quickly but took the staff a few minutes to get to me. After 4 others sat at tables next to me... With that said, the waitress assisted me quickly and food and coffee came out quickly and tasted ok. Needs seasoning... We are in New England though and there are times where I really miss the south, where food is always seasoned.

So often airport food is a disappointment. This meal was PERFECT. A cold lager, Connecticut Lobster roll and fries. The lobster was fresh, tender and generous. The fries look like nothing special yet they were just right! The server was friendly and quick. I'm so glad I decided to grab a bite! I don't usually eat bread OR fries but I have zero regrets.

I don't remember what occupied this space before the renovations, but I do know in all my years traveling to BDL there were very few restaurants or bars that I would go out of my way for at this airport. I was told by Isabel the amazing bartender they have only been open for about a week or so. As you'd expect with any new location this place is spic n span clean and beautifully decorated and the bar and seating area are well thought out. I got here early and with a day of travel ahead of me I definitely wanted to grab a bite to eat before my first flight, but past experience has shown that the food at the airport bars not only here but across the board are just microwaved or of poor quality most of the time, yes there are exceptional but unless your at a major hub the choices just aren't that good - I asked Isabel about the food preparation and she was excited to tell me it's all made fresh so I could order anything on the menu the way I want it. Well after ordering fried eggs over medium, bacon, hashbrowns and toast it was all exactly what she stated and served hot and delicious and after pairing this with a few top shelf Bloody Mary's it was definitely a winning combination - as with all airports it's not cheap to eat, this ended up costing around fifty dollars without the tip but it was all of good quailty as were the pours. I know going forward this will be my hangout when waiting on flights out of BDL - all the staff was friendly and professional and Isabel is a gem...

Well, staff was excellent. Food arrived in a timely fashion. My breakfast was good and filling. I had an omelette. Few options there. Mine was with a Brie and a side of bacon. Bacon was extra. I did like the bar tender's friendliness. She was profesional and customer oriented.

I'm not how to best say this, but it didn't feel like an airport restaurant. Kindness , waitress checked on me , food was amazing , great spot to check out. I had the Prochuito, Brie, and pesto omelettte...yum yum . I needed to be in and out due to my flight time, and they were happy to help and tell me how much time things would take. Check it out if you are at Bradley. It's a really pleasant experience.

The staff was friendly & helpful but clearly very busy during our visit. We ordered a spicy meatball pizza, a cheese and mozz sticks. The pizza was definitely sauce focused with lighter cheese than you'd expect, but it was packed with flavor. The mozz sticks were a great starter. Our bill for the above with 1 soda & water came to about $70, not bad for 3 people. Overall it was a nice dinner out & some good zza!

So, when I clicked into Sally's website, I was bowled over to see they now have SEVEN locations with ELEVEN more on the way, including Garden City, NY and Boca Raton, FL. That's pretty impressive. Sally's thin crust New Haven style pizza is a state treasure and I've always enjoyed it wherever I've had it. And today, I had a few slices of their fantastic pizza in a new location for us -inside the West Farms Mall near Jordan's Furniture of all places. Our lunch experience was great, starting with Bianca...our exceptional server. She was so outgoing and attentive, and checked back on us three times without ever being intrusive or an annoyance. We had a simple lunch, splitting a salad and a ten-inch pizza. The Wedge Salad ($14.75) was a big portion of three big iceberg lettuce wedges, charred tomato, Grana Padano cheese, crispy pepperoni, red onion, and a creamy Italian ranch dressing. We decided to skip the grilled bread croutons. What a nice salad! Super fresh lettuce, tasty tomatoes, a healthy sprinkle of pepperoni crisps that reminded me of crumbled bacon, and a great creamy dressing. Our 10" pizza (also $14.75) came with two toppings and we added meatballs and onions. It was thin crust New Haven style perfection. The sauce, the cheese, the cardboard thin crust, the toppings -everything was great. Late in our meal, a young father and his son came in and sat down in front of us. The boy seemed to be 5 or 6. Bianca impressed me again with the way she interacted with the boy, engaging him in conversation, and just being so nice and sweet with him. Well done, Bianca, Well done, Sally's.

I wanted to give them a second chance. Sometimes businesses have bad days and I don't like to judge based off of one experience unless it's super bad. Well, this time was worse. Ordered the chopped salad. All you could taste was dressing and it was soggy and swimming. Barely any meat. Then the pizza came. One half had pepperoni and hot honey and the other had meatball and ricotta. The pepperoni side was literally disgusting. Like the salad, it was completely drenched in hot honey and sickly sweet. It was pooling on my plate. You couldn't taste the sauce, cheese, and toppings. Speaking of the sauce, there was little to none, had no flavor, and it was canned. I know canned sauce when I taste it. This was especially shocking because Sally's is known for their sauce. I'm very disappointed because I usually love the sauce at Sally's l, but this wasn't it. And then there's another problem: the pizza came out burnt and cold. New Haven style is slightly charred, not BURNT. It wasn't just the crust; it was also the undercarriage. See the photos I attached. It also took 50 minutes from the time our order was placed to get our one pizza when the restaurant wasn't even at half occupancy. Service was terrible!! We weren't even offered red pepper or parm with our pizza and weren't asked if we wanted dessert. Not like we wanted to stay after that mess, but it would've been nice to be asked. Our server was never near our table and it took a long time to get the things we wanted. We felt completely ignored all night. I feel like this is totally understandable on a busy night, but the place wasn't packed by any means and there were only a few tables occupied. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes after we finished our pizza before our server came around again and just handed us the check and walked away without a word. Not coming back.

That's the downside and I would give it 3.5 honestly because of it. Service was alright, our waiter wasn't bad, but he told us pizza will be right out and we still waited 20 minutes. All we ordered was a small firebird pizza. Sally's apizza describes it as "Mozzarella, Sally's tomato sauce, oven roasted chicken, diced sweet and hot peppers, onion" The flavor is really good and I do like how thin crusted the pizza is. Next time I would like to try the meat specialty pizzas. Last time we got cheese and pepperoni and it was good. The pepperoni is a but greasy but it's expected.

As a CT native who now lives out of state, I hadn't even been to Sally's or the other since I was probably a teenager. My dad has always gone on saying how Sally's is his number one, and now I finally see why. It has a more rustic, home cooked quality to it. And let's be real, all of the pizza on this street is delicious, so I really don't want to compare too much. After waiting in line for an hour, we cooled inside with some crisp Foxon Park Birch Beer and a fresh Caesar salad hit the spot. I don't usually bother with salad when I'm visiting home & getting my pizza fix, but I would absolutely order this salad again! It was a perfect Caesar. For pizzas, we opted to get the classic New England clam pizza, and it ended up being a favorite of my CA boyfriend as well. We also ordered a sausage, onion, & cherry pepper (the cherry peppers were HOT), and of course we had to get a classic pepperoni. It was a perfect meal, in a nice, cozy old school spot, that I'll definitely be craving until I'm back in town. Yes, it was worth the wait in line.

I ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and fresh peppers as opposed to roasted ones (which is an option) for pickup. The restaurant was nice. If you're a Prince (the musician, not the one stripped of his title -- too soon?) fan you may love the purple hues. The crust was good chewy. I loved the pepperoni. They cupped and crisped, but in a slightly different visual way than many cup and crisp pepperoni. Very cool. Tasted great too. The fresh peppers ended up being red rather than green. This is a personal preference, but I prefer green. I like the flavor of the green juice better on a pizza. I also think the green color pops better since the sauce and pepperoni are both red. I liked the pizza, but I didn't love it. I couldn't figure out why at first. I think the primary reason was the sausage. It wasn't bad. I just didn't connect with the flavor. And also I prefer larger pieces, than the smaller crumbles Camille's used. If I had this pizza without the sausage, I would have liked it better. I do have a favorable impression of Camille's though. I would definitely return. 4.25 Stars

The bartender was fantastic and even shared the secret to a perfect Whiskey Sour: dry shake the whiskey, lemon juice, and egg white first to build that silky foam, then add ice and shake again. She also noted that aquafaba--the liquid from canned chickpeas--can create a similar effect for vegan or egg-free drinkers. We arrived on a Monday around peak dinner time, but there was essentially no wait (apparently uncommon according to my friend -- just a delightful consequence of dining at a college town during the summer). We split a medium pizza (1/2 elote mexican street corn and 1/2 bbq brisket), proving to be more than enough for two plus a more than ample amount of leftovers. Recently, I've gravitated toward thinner pizzas, a far cry from the typical Detroit (foccacia-esque) style pizzas I used to prefer, and BAR's pizza is akin to a flatbread yet very thin, another fallen angel to the GLP's. The undercarriage boasts a brilliant crust, almost cracker-like. However, it should be noted that the pizza is indulgent all the same. The elote pizza is quite possibly the most memorable, unique pizza I've ever had; it arrives almost crimson-red with a generous layer of corn and takis atop. It's still incredibly well balanced despite the hodgepodge of varied toppings. It's hard to pick a favorite between this and the bbq brisket though; while one is incredibly unique the other is simply sumptuous, nothing pedestrian about either of the two. The service is also impeccable, almost rivaling that of southern hospitality. I always thought Californians were friendly but something is in the air every time I visit New Haven. Incredible!
