Vanilla square croissant and Nutella pound cake
    Christine B.

Cute new café alert! Discovered this café near me and so glad I did as I already know I'll be here a lot. This café offers a lot of delicious drinks and yummy pastries. And the staff are nice and very knowledgeable/helpful. As one of the employees was helping me decide what I should get, they told me the pastry chef that makes all of the pastries is trained in France and comes up with new pastries often- which means there is always something new to try out and more reason to keep coming back!   I got a pumpkin chai (which was so creamy and soothing) and tried out their vanilla square croissant and a slide of their hazelnut pound cake. My fav was the vanilla square croissant- first of all, having the croissant shaped like a cube is so much fun and love that you can get so much filling inside of it. I was sad they didn't have any of their Nutella square croissants left which is apparently their best seller, but that means I will have to come back to try it out.   In addition to the food, I love the nature-y aesthetic of the place. The vibes are so cozy and homey with all of the wood details, plants, and books scattered around. I can see myself coming here to do work or coming here with friends to catch up.   In case it wasn't obvious enough, I am a big fan of this café and think you all could be too if you come here!

My sisters got a mix of flavors that didn't really speak to me. I got halo halo and guanabana. What a mix! I made my sisters taste the halo halo because it was 10/10 good.

The gianduja crunch hazelnut was what brought me back. I visited on a Sunday afternoon in summer with the family, and it was packed. There was real no space to enjoy the ice cream either. In line, I noticed no one offered samples or took my order proactively until I reached the cash register, by then it was too late to sample. There were two guys manning the ice cream station, a lady manning the register, and a few in the back kitchen. I ordered a pint of the gianduja crunch, a single vanilla, and a single flan. The vanilla was average, it didn't wow me (I was hoping for something less sweet, more like haagen dazs vanilla bean). I think they used too much vanilla flavoring. The gianduja was very good and appropriate with a crunch, and the flan was solid too, glad we went with those. They seemed a bit disorganized when paying/receiving the order (chalk it up to being busy young adults). I had to ask multiple times if they had given my pint since they called my name out to give me the single serving but they were still working on mine but were also bringing out different order pints to other customers so it was a bit lack of communication and clarity that needed polishing. They also didn't have any cooler bags to sell or give out, which would be helpful for a 30-minute drive home in summer. Pricing was fair, not too expensive. I saw the awards the owner has displayed and was happy for them. Overall, the ice cream itself is a bit above average with some really interesting flavors. Glad to see small businesses like this open up. I do hope they can refine the customer service experience a bit more. Their ice cream has real potential to impress the right investors and grow if they can hire the right management team.

The OG location is in Fort Lee, but this little kiosk is just as good. Japanese crepes are similar to French crepes, but with key differences. Japanese ones are usually thinner, crispier, made with rice flour batter(gluten free), and are served in a cone shape. The menu is very straightforward. You can choose between 13 sweet crepes and 5 savory crepes. They all have pre-selected ingredients but you can choose to substitute or add additional toppings as desired. I went with the basic Strawberry Nutella ($11.95). Depending on how busy it is, you might have to wait for a bit because they make the crepes fresh on the premises. You can watch the whole process right in front of you :') I almost didn't want to eat mine because the packaging is just so darn cute. Safe to say, I devoured it within a few minutes. The strawberries were sweet and juicy and the nutella was so rich. I LOVED the crispiness of the rice flour batter. I wanted to order another one... but I'm not God's favorite so I have to watch my weight LOL

The kiosk is on the second floor, and it took me a good five minutes to walk from the other side of the mall to get to Dough Life ( hey, I'm out of shape, but cookie dough is good motivation for a walk!). When I got there, I was impressed with the large variety of dough flavors to choose from: more than any other mall cookie dough dealer I've seen. I was ready to order, but didn't see anyone at the counter. After A minute, I noticed a small sign on the counter. Written in chalk, it said "on break be back soon ." I believe everyone deserves the right to take breaks from work, but I was a little surprised that at 7:30 PM during the holiday season, the company didn't have more than one employee working. Also, the employee was sitting at a table next to Dough Life, wearing her Uniform and playing on her phone. Again, nothing wrong with taking a break or using your phone, but it's really awkward to take your break in front of waiting customers. I Walked away after a few minutes of being ignored.
