    Coffee grounds steak
    Tony N.

Typically not busy here because I don't think most people know about it, this is Diamonds attempt at a high end restaurant. Overall the good was good but not outstanding , the coffee grounds steak was good but my wife had to send it back multiple times we always order medium rare and the first time it was well done, second time it was not even cooked, theirs time came out medium well. A little disappointing for a $25-30 steak. Overall the service was good and hopefully we will have a better experience next time.

    Trout Almodine dinner.

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This is great to provide you with options when you decide to switch up your order. I believe Black Rock's service is amazing. Their baristas are consistently friendly, quick, and efficient from getting your order to making your drinks. The service is laid-back, where I don't feel pressured to hold a conversation or talk about my day (you know what coffee spot I'm talking about). Sometimes I'm still trying to start my day and just need my caffeine fix before talking to people, this is why Black Rock is great! As for their ambiance, the interior/exterior of Black Rock is modern yet cozy. It's always clean and have plenty of natural light if you would like to hang out with friends or study for school. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before our server, Diana, came to take our drink order. After placing it, there was another extended wait before we saw her again. While she was assisting another table, I asked about our drinks, and she mentioned she would be right with us, but it was still quite a while before they arrived. Once we received our drinks and placed our food order, service became very limited. When our food was delivered, both my stepson and I had empty drinks, and there was no acknowledgment or offer for refills. I had to ask, which shouldn't typically be necessary. We also requested pico, which took additional time to receive. Throughout the rest of the meal, there were no check-ins to see how the food was or if we needed anything. The next interaction we had was when the check was dropped off. I understand that restaurants can get busy and delays happen, but attentive service, especially something as simple as checking in and keeping drinks refilled, goes a long way. Guests do notice these details, and they directly impact the overall experience, as well as the tips servers receive. I'm sharing this because I know this restaurant is capable of much better, based on past visits. I hope this was just an off day and not the standard moving forward.

I'm so happy to have found this place ! You order at the counter and there is plenty of seating. I ordered the tri-color Vietnamese dessert called Chè Ba Mau, which translates literally to tri-color dessert. Chè is a traditional category of Vietnamese desserts that can range from sweet soups to puddings, and it often combines various beans, jellies, and fruits with coconut milk and shaved ice, traditionally. This particular one here consists of coconut milk, pandan agar jelly, red beans, and water chestnut coated in tapioca. The hubby ordered the grass jelly and coconut milk dessert. The grass jelly has a mild herbal depth and it is balanced beautifully by the smooth, lightly sweet coconut milk. Both are equally refreshing and sweet, with quality ingredients that really make it satisfying on a hot Tucson day. I absolutely will be returning here for future Vietnamese desserts!!

Because they are only open for breakfast and lunch, friends who have been here told me you just have to go and brave the wait because "it's just that good!" I needed to find out for myself, so we decided to go on a Sunday for brunch. I think luck was on our side! We must have arrived right between the first and second brunch rushes because even though the hostess quoted a 15-20 minute wait, we were seated in just five minutes. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. We had only been sitting for a couple of minutes when our server came over to bring water and take our drink orders. She was super friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. For my meal, I ordered the Chile Relleno Corn Tamale. Wow!
