    Coffee grounds steak
    Tony N.

Typically not busy here because I don't think most people know about it, this is Diamonds attempt at a high end restaurant. Overall the good was good but not outstanding , the coffee grounds steak was good but my wife had to send it back multiple times we always order medium rare and the first time it was well done, second time it was not even cooked, theirs time came out medium well. A little disappointing for a $25-30 steak. Overall the service was good and hopefully we will have a better experience next time.

    Trout Almodine dinner.

It was a perfect place to meet someone who had just flown in to TIA. It's a short drive over from the airport with lots of comfortable booths, and plenty of free parking. Our server Justin, was awesome - super friendly, and understood from the get-go that we would be hanging out for a few hours, waiting for someone else's flight to arrive. The food and drink selections were plentiful, and the place went from being relatively quiet to hopping with customers of all ages, to quiet again. Justin handled all the tables, making sure to check on us, too. Before we left, we complimented his ability to multitask with such an upbeat attitude - always smiling - which added to how much we enjoyed our experience. We ordered the hummus plate, the salmon entree, and the apple pecan salad and all were delicious. Definitely a great place to consider for a meal when picking up hungry travelers, or for a satisfying meal when arriving to Tucson hungry with no idea where to find decent options. ¡Gracias, Justin, and SOL!

Chips, salsa, Guacamole and SOL tacos should take no more than 10-15 minutes. Asking to top off waters was a real test of skills. Salsa is spicy. Don't say you weren't warned. I thought it was good but my friend, not so much. She said the Guacamole was also spicy. The beef on the tacos was crunchy. That was a first. Interesting clientele... I suppose because we're by an airport, in a hotel, that all those things play a big part. Food - mediocre. Ambience - it's a bar/restaurant, not much more to say. Service - well I'll say the place appears to be understaffed.

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

The place is your typical sports bar, well designed with lots of TV's for sports viewing. The beer selection was a bit disappointing, but the beers were cold and reasonably priced. I didn't have any food as I just had lunch with a friend over at Olive Garden. Yes the girls wear skimpy outfits which is the gimmick, and it's not a bad one, LOL. The bartender was quite friendly and service was efficient. Not to mention she was easy on the eyes. Overall my experience here was fine, the music wasn't overly loud, and Olympic coverage was on most of the TV's. Again not sure about at night, but during the day this place was just fine.

Went for lunch but unfortunately I went during a busy Friday when the freeway was backed up everyone trying to get off at the exit to do some holiday shopping. The concept is similar to a few other chains as far as the staff's skimpy outfit choices. There are plenty of TVs everywhere, so there was basketball and football on and able to be seen from pretty much every spot. We were greeted upon entry by 2 friendly hostesses and were escorted to out table. There is a decent size menu of Mexican food choices. I hadn't had Fajitas in a while so I decided to try them out. I was a little surprised that complimentary chips and salsa are not offered to the table. Fajitas came out sizzling along with all the assorted plates for the tortillas and all of the sides (sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, etc.). I was a little surprised that only 4 small tortillas are given to you, and there is no way you can shove all the food into those 4 small tortillas. I asked for a few more tortillas and was finally given 4 more piping hot tortillas and found out at the end when I got the bill there was a $1 fee for the extra tortillas. I have eaten Fajitas at several places and never charged for extra tortillas. The Fajitas and the service were good, 3 star worthy.

We loved the unique menu with many variations to satisfy different palates. Some of the items we had included the rainbow paradise one with an açaí base and the other with a dragon fruit base. The fruit was diced so nicely so that you can taste it in every spoonful. Our littles were huge fans of both and almost finished them (regular size but still shareable portions IMO). We also had a smoothie that had PB, coconut sherbet, banana and cinnamon. It was refreshing and for me it was perfect, one of our littles would've liked it sweeter but I think it was just the right balance so it doesn't leave you craving water afterwards. For one of the bowls we had a choice of mango or pineapple, I asked which fruit seemed to be ripe that day and the person handling the fruit reached out and gave us their suggestion which was great. Lastly, if you're DF this is the spot! So many options that do not include dairy (I believe they use coconut milk). Overall we would definitely come back to this spot and recommend you should too. The interior is very hip and fun with tv's streaming various sports.

After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before our server, Diana, came to take our drink order. After placing it, there was another extended wait before we saw her again. While she was assisting another table, I asked about our drinks, and she mentioned she would be right with us, but it was still quite a while before they arrived. Once we received our drinks and placed our food order, service became very limited. When our food was delivered, both my stepson and I had empty drinks, and there was no acknowledgment or offer for refills. I had to ask, which shouldn't typically be necessary. We also requested pico, which took additional time to receive. Throughout the rest of the meal, there were no check-ins to see how the food was or if we needed anything. The next interaction we had was when the check was dropped off. I understand that restaurants can get busy and delays happen, but attentive service, especially something as simple as checking in and keeping drinks refilled, goes a long way. Guests do notice these details, and they directly impact the overall experience, as well as the tips servers receive. I'm sharing this because I know this restaurant is capable of much better, based on past visits. I hope this was just an off day and not the standard moving forward.

Turning into the parking lot if you're heading south is a little tricky, but pretty big parking lot. We came at 12:45pm for lunch and it wasn't too busy, so not sure how packed or difficult parking is at dinner. Staff were friendly and they let us sit in our booth for greater than 2 hours since my friend and I were catching up and it wasn't too busy. They were a little behind in refilling my water cup, but otherwise, super friendly and you go up to the front desk to pay, at least that's what we did when we were done. Their menu offers a mix of Native American food and Mexican food, primarily a mix of popovers aka fry bread in replacement of tortillas for some dishes. I got the popover sample, which is a sample of their popover with green chile, red chili and refried bean taco. Their chili come with beef. It's a decent size if you're not starving and they also give free chips & salsa, so it was the perfect amount for me. The server said for the sampler, they take what's normally one large popover and split it into 3 pieces, so it gives you an idea of what one large popover size looks like.
