I've always had consistently good experiences at First Watch, both in Arizona and Florida, which is why this visit stood out for the wrong reasons. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before our server, Diana, came to take our drink order. After placing it, there was another extended wait before we saw her again. While she was assisting another table, I asked about our drinks, and she mentioned she would be right with us, but it was still quite a while before they arrived. Once we received our drinks and placed our food order, service became very limited. When our food was delivered, both my stepson and I had empty drinks, and there was no acknowledgment or offer for refills. I had to ask, which shouldn't typically be necessary. We also requested pico, which took additional time to receive. Throughout the rest of the meal, there were no check-ins to see how the food was or if we needed anything. The next interaction we had was when the check was dropped off. I understand that restaurants can get busy and delays happen, but attentive service, especially something as simple as checking in and keeping drinks refilled, goes a long way. Guests do notice these details, and they directly impact the overall experience, as well as the tips servers receive. I'm sharing this because I know this restaurant is capable of much better, based on past visits. I hope this was just an off day and not the standard moving forward. read more

First time at this location, but a fan of First Watch over all. Standard cute ambiance inside, plenty of parking outside , also patio available. We were lucky to get seated before Saturday rush so no wait. Fast and friendly service as usual but we didn't feel rushed. My friend and I both ordered off the seasonal specials menu and were not disappointed. I absolutely loved my elote breakfast burrito ! And I tried a bite or two of my friends Strawberry tres leches French toast which was also really good. I find the seasonal/ temporary menu items to usually be a good bet! read more

Came here for breakfast with a friend. It was yummy. I ordered the trifecta - it came with eggs , bacons and a Belgian waffle. Totally worth the prices! They were out of one drink I wanted to try that was on a limited edition menu.. menus all over the place advertising it but it's no longer a thing.. probably the only bad thing I'll say. Service was nice! It did take us a while, towards the end after the server brought us the receipt to ask for a box. We needed up having to ask the host since she never came back. Cute ambiance. What's with this establishment ? Every server has a scowl in their faces. Service takes forever. Sitting for 15 minutes before an unhappy waitress came to take our order. I asked for water , and it took us telling 2 other servers that we need water. And had to wait for the bill too. We had to go to the kitchen area to flag our waitress down. Same experience we had a month ago. Come on management get with the program. Food was good. Too bad I wouldn't come back. *This review is for a visit on 10/09/22* It's a Sunday so everywhere is expected to be packed for breakfast and/or brunch. I called in advance and asked about their wait time and they said 45 minutes which was completely fine with us since other places we tried were over an hour. I joined the online waitlist before we got there so that we would be 15 min in our wait time by the time we arrived. The only problem I had with this experience is that the wait time was definitely at least 1 hour 15 minutes instead of the 45 minutes that was told to us prior to us going. By the time we got seated, it was 12:00 and then it took another 15 minutes for the server to come around to get our orders. We were extremely patient and understanding given that it was a Sunday and this place was packed. By the time we got our food, we were super happy to finally eat and everything was delicious. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which were unreal and so fluffy. I couldn't finish all of it but it was very good. The only other complaint is that the water glasses were a bit dirty so we did not drink water. We stuck to the coffee which was meh also. However, I would go back for the food alone. read more

My go to breakfast spot! I always get the Tri-Fecta and it's always so good.There's something in this specific waffle that's so delicious. It's very soft on the inside and the perfect amount of crispy on the outside and it tastes very lightly of a churro. Plus, the jam they give you goes great with it. The Iced coffee is also good. I've never had any problems with the service. They're always so fantastic and friendly! And the food arrives fairly quickly considering how busy they usually are. First of all I want to say that my son and I went to dine in for my birthday a few weeks ago and everything was delicious. 5 stars for sure. Today we ordered through UberEats. Some of the potatoes were underdone and the biscuit was missing from the traditional. The food was in 2 bags and one of them was unsealed and it looked like the food had been shaken up by falling off the car seat or something. I am super happy about this breakfast place on Irvington! They have a pretty good breakfast menu! There is also seating outside if it's too packed inside! It's a small chain in both the Phoenix area and Tucson area and I like what they're trying to do. I think they have expanded even into California I'm not sure. This restaurant is conveniently located off a main highway. It's inside a shopping center area. Enough parking so that should be an issue but the lot can fill up. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. This restaurant has high ceilings and open space. They have lots of wonderful breakfast, lunch or brunch fair. They try to emphasize healthy food. They do juicing and have some healthy type juices. And they have some special twists on classical breakfast from eggs to pancakes to waffles and of course bacon. They also have breakfast burritos, salads and sandwiches. They're really trying to appeal to a modern young customer with fresh items and things like avocado toast, super food bowls, steel cut oatmeal, breakfast for athletes, and traditional stuff like, four types of Eggs Benedict, four kinds of hash, six different types of omelets, All of them have some interesting twists. They also have pancakes and waffles which also have some interesting aspects too. They have a variety of healthy salads and sandwiches as well. They don't say exactly where their goods come from that'd be one minor criticism I would have of them to actually list where farms they get their goods from especially their meat, It will take there restaurants up to a different level. Even if was a list of local farms, and organic suppliers. I enjoyed their lemon ricotta pancake in their bacon You get your choice of either a Belgian waffle or a multi grain pancake. It's really a humongous pancake I don't know how anybody could eat 2 of them. I wanted to try something different I'm sure other things are good good. The lemon Ricotta with fresh strawberries over the pancake was wonderful. I had a little of the Maple syrup as well. It There are plenty of other dishes that I could imagine trying to working my way through. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. I always like to mention the bathrooms, they were clean and well stocked. The staff member who waited on us was wonderful she did a great job. Like I said my only criticism is being open about their food sources. It could be a selling point that further differentiates their restaurant.. Dare you to get in this Irvington location on a weekend!! This place is jam packed, all the time! Why? Because the management here, the packed staff and the overall menu are a smash-hit. The second reason this place hits is it's the first, large scale Family breakfast style restaurant in the west side of the valley that isn't a Denny's. Unfortunately, Cracker Barrel seems to misunderstand these metrics here in Tucson and doesn't seem to build beyond the ONE restaurant... No worries, First Watch is here to pick up the slack and the profit! First Watch is a fantastic, fresh, welcoming, decor appealing restaurant. The bar has hooks underneath the counter to hang your purse or hat on and cast iron bars are you feet rests. The large ceiling environment is urban/rural with perfect touches of colors and accents with country style touches and barn doors. Where both of my daughters are a bit picky of other breakfast style restaurant chains, they love to eat here. Their menu is filled with clashing styles of foods which is a pleasant change of style including their adult beverage drinks to ward off the hangovers. Seriously. Honestly, I have been to different First Watch locations and I am not sure what is so different about this specific location. For starters, the service was pretty subpar, as was the food. Paying $8 for 2 regular cups of coffee was also pretty steep, I would understand it more if they were intricate lattes but it was just a pot placed on a table. Our food was not only underdone potatoes but just overall lackluster. Also for our server to check in just once was quite rough. When the server brought out his plate, the eggs were VERY undercooked...the white was runny! Not a problem, until the server proceeded to ARGUE WITH US about what "over medium" eggs are. We went back and forth and I pointed out that the whites were still liquid- she insisted that it was cooked correctly, not wanting to take it back. My daughter and I go out to breakfast every other Wednesday and although we have our favs, we try to throw in a new place every now and then. Today we decided to try First Watch. Every time I drive through The Landing, there are new businesses open and I've been wanting to try First Watch, especially since I've been craving eggs Benedict. I can't say we are excited to return sadly. First for the positives... The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, so A+ for service. We were seated promptly and our food didn't take forever to cook. The portions were also plentiful. So on to the negatives... My eggs Benny and my potatoes were rather cold when they arrived at the table. That's a big no for me. Everything on my plate was barely above room temperature. I was also disappointed in the dish altogether. The potatoes were tasty but someone needs a lesson on making good eggs Benedict. Some of the egg white was runny. That's a huge turn off for me. I can't stand runny, slimy egg whites. Poached eggs shouldn't have runny whites. Blech. Secondly, the hollandaise sauce was way too lemony. Unpleasantly so for eggs Benny. I also didn't notice on the menu they added sliced tomato to the traditional, tomato-free dish. If the tomato would have been ripe, it might have been good, but it was a very bland tomato. My daughter ordered an acai bowl, which came with almond butter toast. She also ordered a kale tonic. She said her breakfast was ok. She didn't really care for the kale tonic but at least she finished it. We both drank coffee which was neither bad nor outstanding. Considering between us we drank maybe 2 1/2 cups of coffee, the almost $7 seemed a bit excessive. All in all, disappointing, especially for the price. Breakfast plus a 20% tip came to just over $50. It's probably the most expensive breakfast we've had thus far in our breakfast adventures and we often eat breakfast downtown where prices usually run a bit higher. Sorry First Watch. So my sister was in town and today is her last day. wanted to take her out to brunch before she leaves. this wasnt the original place we wanted to visit but my husband dispises driving anywhere remotely further than he wants to go if he doesnt have to so we ended up coming here since it was closer to us. I knew the wait for this place normally is long so i did their online line wait so our spot is secure before we arrive. when we did arrive, we were told we are the 5th group in line. after them calling a few groups in, we were told we are now the 3rd group. but somehow we kept seeing other groups get seated before us and we were like if we were the 3rd we should be seated by now. but we kept waiting then i checked my phone n got a text from them saying we've been removed from the line. so i got up and asked one of the workers who does the line check in and she had went to ask another person that our group is here so y is it removed. after talking to her she didnt update us but we saw a few more ppl get seated then after about 10mins more, we finally got seated. my husband was already irritated at this point but we sat down, ordered. It wasnt a long long wait for our food. I got their chickachinga, my sister got their farmhouse hashbrown plate and my husband got their salmon egg benedict. So for mine, i thought it was good except the potatos were a bit salty. Same with my sisters. Her's was a bit salty too so she couldnt finish it. Told her to bring it home n just mix it with some greens to help spread those saltiness, hopefully. My husband's egg benedict, he was kinda upset cause the egg yolk is supposed to be running but it was a fully cooked egg. so therefore it was a hard boil egg on top of the salmon and bread with the hollandiase sauce over it. He also got their berry booster drink which was actually pretty good. overall, the food was ok. This time at least. the 2 stars deducted is for wait in line issue and the saltiness of the potato and the egg benedict not being made correctly. would we come back, i might, with friends, to another location, but my husband says he wont be returning. he never really liked this restuarant. this isnt the first First watch we've been to and even the first one he didnt like much. read more

She was quick, flattery, and most of all, attentive. I would love to go back to this specific location but it's so far away from me. I live about 45mins away from it. I was on that side of town early AM and wanted breakfast so I stopped in...best decision ever! The food was really good too...only complaint I have is that the potatoes were 'raw'...they were well seasoned but that first bite of a stiff potato was not pleasing in anyway.
