I have been going to Lyons Auto Center for a few years. They have always been great to deal with. But I felt compelled to leave a review based upon their recent service to my vehicle. I brought my van in due to a check engine light. They were upfront with me telling me the time it would take to get some answers. They fixed the issues quickly, communicated frequently, and priced the repairs fairly. The other major distinction between Lyons Auto Center and other auto repair locations I have used in the past, I don't feel like they're trying to take advantage of me. It would have been easy to just sell me a bunch of parts, repairs and service, but they didn't. They told me what they believed that I needed, they offered some suggestions, then gave me honest decisions of what they felt was best for me. Those decisions meant they made less money and I just got what I needed. It felt like friends helping friends. Highly recommended. They've won my loyalty read more

I had an appointment for an alignment at 9 am. I dropped off my vehicle and went do run some errands, I was told 45-1hr. I returned to the auto shop by 10:30 and my vehicle was still parked outside. I walked in to inquire and I was told they were behind in time. My vehicle was not serviced until 10:50, that was because I stayed inside their office! Finally vehicle was done at 11:40 and he gave me a WHOLE $16 discount! Very generous of him. Also the technicians go in and out of Your vehicle without putting a plastics coverage in the drivers seat! It's unprofessional. I took my car in to Harry for a tune-up before taking a cross country road trip. He gave my car a thorough review and made recommendations based on the trip (and intense wear and tear my car is about to go through) and shared his recommendations on timeline and priority of repair. He gave me a fair price and fast service. My car hasn't driven this well since it was new!! (It is 7 years old.) I am so grateful to have found Harry, and Lyons Auto, but also sad to be moving away so soon after! If I could give Harry 100 stars I would. I have lived in Santa Clarita since 2001. I met Harry, the owner of Lyons Auto Center, back in 2005 through a recommendation. Since that time, I have taken at least six different vehicles to Lyons Auto Center to repair. I have never been disappointed. I have two daughters and I have taken both their Honda Pilot, Acura MDX, as well as my Mercedes E-55 AMG, Toyota Land Cruiser and Honda Accord for both minor and major repairs. Harry has always been very honest, fair and quick in repairing my vehicles. I even took him a 1974 Chevy truck and he rebuilt the entire engine for me. I had no problems with any of the vehicle repairs. He is a great mechanic and is also AAA certified and I can see why. Harry is a rare breed of mechanic. Great mechanics like him are hard to find. I have recommended Harry and Lyons Auto Center to friends who have driven 50 miles to see him because of how good he is. I highly recommend Harry and Lyons Auto Center. read more

I was helping a homeless individual get on his feet and offered to pay for the smog of a vehicle that was donated to him and I took it to Lyons Auto Center. Smog did not pass and was told by the technician if he drives over 100 miles it would reset and we can bring it back and test again. He said no charge until it passes smog. We drove it on private property as recommended and took it back the next morning for a 2nd smog test. First his machine was not working, left came back again and he ran the diagnostics and said still not passing smog even though we did what he told us to do. Then he says if we bring it back we have to pay for a new smog. We took the vehicle to another shop and it passed smog no problem. I told him I thought his machine was faulty and he should reimburse me what I paid and he said no. No compassion no empathy and obviously does not care about repeating business. Not accredited by BBB. I do not recommend this shop for any work. read more

If I could dive them negative stars I would . Avoid this place at all cost. They will not honor warranty but instead tell you it's another issue that cost x4 times than the original job . For instance my ac went out . I came here got it fixed . A month later it went out again. Luckily during winter . Fast forward it's getting hot again and wanted to get the issue fixed, Instead of honoring the warranty now it's an issue that went from 325 to 950 according to him . I brought my car to the another mechanic and he said he can do it for a fraction of that. DO NOT GO HERE . Save your money read more

I have been taking my cars to Harry for several years. I have found Harry to be honest, reliable and more than fair. I have NEVER had a negative experience with him. There have been a few times that he has told me that I don't need to have my brakes replaced when it seemed like I did. I am now moving to Georgia and will miss Harry. read more

Quoted me $1300 for an alternator for a 2013 Nissan Sentra. Bought one for $160 on eBay and installed it myself. This guy will overcharge you if he thinks he can get away with it, and it seems many others have had the same experience. Stay away. read more

I have been bringing my vehicles to Harry at Lyons Auto Center ever since I moved to the SCV back in 2012. I left behind my last favorite car place in OC and it was scary finding a new place to trust my cars with. Harry has been amazing- he is patient with all of my questions, tells me when things are about to go out and if I have time to olan to make repairs if it's not needed immediately. Costs are competitive and reasonable, but the trust I have in knowing I would never be charged for frivolous repairs is priceless! read more

Called and asked for alignment. They said they were available. I asked how much and they asked me what car I had. When I told them it was a Mercedes they quoted me $185. No reason to ask what kind of car I have when I need a basic alignment with no issues. Cancelled and went to Firestone. Firestone offered me $200 for lifetime alignment. read more

Our mechanic here got us out of a real tight spot. Our car broke down on a road trip, and we dropped it off there in the middle of the night. They were ready to go in the morning, and had it running before noon. Our mechanic even gave the car a drive to make sure it was in working order and gave us instructions on what to do in the future. Plus, he did it all for free. Update: When we left the mechanic, the car ran for roughly 45 more minutes before breaking down again. It was the exact same issue, and his suggestions to keep moving didn't help. read more

Waste of time and money. Brought my car in for an alignment as it really pulled hard to the side. Charged me $110. I don't think they did anything. The problem was still very much apparent. I brought the car to PACC awhile later. They said virtually all aspects of the alignment were out of spec. They fixed it. For $89. Huge difference in how the car steered. The owner of Lyons said they are always busy. I would say 1/3rd of the bays were empty when I was there. Now I know why. read more

Absolutely the BEST place ever. In December 2018 I was told by my old repair shop that my AC pump was bad. They quoted $2,500.00 and needed the car for 4-5 days. Harry did it for $800.00 and I was out the door in 4 hours. I had also been told by the same prior repair place that I needed new rotors and I thought I needed shocks. Harry checked everything and told me that my rotors were at 80% and shocks were fine. Charged me $65.00. Seriously, he turned away a nice fat job!! Who does that? Harry does!!! This month, I was in a car accident and my electrical system kept blowing through batteries. I walked in today, credit card in hand. He fixed the problem and went above and beyond. Charged me $125.00 for the diagnostic testing only. I highly recommend this place. Harry is awesome. read more

Good job with my smog check as my first time coming here. I had them replaced the all four brakes on my work truck that I taught was fairly descent. But when I took my personal SUV to get the same brake service, they didn't flush the brake fluid as promised. read more

Wish I could give more stars!!! I've prolonged writing this review cause been caught up with life but this is the best shop ever! Harry not only fixes my car but he explains everything and breaks it down so I'm able to learn. 1st time he saved me was when my car battery was eroding, took it to the shop and they wanted to charge me over a thousand claiming it had wiring issues... it was just getting a new battery. He later fixed my air filter and engine and once again saved me money and headaches. & today he saved me by fixing my tire and making sure I was all set to get back on the road. Harry and Robert have always done me right over many years, since they first opened. It had been a few years since my cars were running so well. Had to come in for radiator replacement on a 2010 Infiniti, completed in less than a day. They have AAA discount, and one of the only AAA garages in our area that I am aware of. I pushed my moonroof control button into my dash, with the roof stuck in the open position. Harry is awesome - he fixed the problem without charging me and told me to bring it back whenever I get the chance. He quoted me a very reasonable price. The people here have the most terrible attitude, and maybe no wonder....there is never anyone here! The owner was the partner in the Lyons Car Wash (adjacent) for some time, and dissolved the relationship. Or, SOMEONE dissolved the relationship. I took my car to have a SMOG Check done last year, and you have never seen so much fumbling around by the service technician. Took an hour and a half. I said I'd never even walk in there again, but was at the car wash and was looking for someone. I got such a horrible answer to my question, I thought I needed to have a FLAK jacket on. Before you even consider this awful place, go and meet the people, and decided for yourself. Sorry, but I do not believe any of the reviews here :( read more
