My favorite dish is a green chile cheeseburger. I'm New Mexican and I'm an expert. I literally live where green chile is grown and I've been eating it all my life. So I search for who brags to have the best green chile cheeseburger and I saw people talking about this place. I scoffed because it's Texas. What do they know about green chile. I was wrong. Not only was this an excellent green chile cheeseburger, but it was the best one I've ever had. Everything was super fresh from the crisp lettuce and cold tomatoes and onion, soft roll, well season beef cooked to perfection, melty cheese and the green chile was spicy w a wonderful roasted flavor. I'd also like to add how fantastic the fries were. They were crinkle cut seasoned fries, crispy on the outside and steamy, pillowy soft on the inside. Portions were generous, too. Yea, it's a bar, but the ambiance is friendly. There were a few kids eating with their parents and even though there was music playing from a jukebox, it was quiet enough to speak to my friendly waitress in a normal voice. I asked her to put some baseball on the tv and she was more than accommodating. Can't stop telling my friends. Can't wait to go back.

So we went here to watch a game, i read the reviews and had a few items that were recommended. Place was big, not crowded full of locals. It seemed clean, the girls who were working there were cute and you know how some of the are super flirty working that tip in most places? Well they didnt do that here they were actually really nice and attentive. I was not impressed by any means on the rolled tacos, i dont understand why people like these. I got the sweat heat chicken wings, they were alright. The burger was pretty good. If ur in town looking for a local bar with big screens and dart boards then give this place a shot.

Yes believe it or not these tacos are amazingly delicious !!! You gotta do your own comparison to put your mind at ease about these tacos !!! The word is out about their cheese that everyone misses. Not only are your tacos longer, but you get four in a single order. Yes four !! You also have the choice of green or red chile sauce. Or you can get it half and half. Also you have the choice of beef or chicken. Both are delicious !!!!! The Chihuahua Hot Dog and the huge Nachos are also some good choices !!! For drink specials you would have to check their daily specials or check with Shannon at the bar!!! With games such as darts, connect four, and jenga, to entertain you until the evening activities begin such as a DJ, or karaoke nights, country nights, eighties nights and the possibilities of having live music is in the works !!! So enjoy your time at The District !!!

    Half and half.

This was my 1st time here and wasn't sure how to order the tacos. Marina the bartender was very rude and every time I asked her questions about food she would roll her eyes and give short answers. We ordered 3 beef in red and 3 in half and half. 4 tiny rolled tacos in lots of sauce. With them being so tiny, I think they need to add at least 2 more. I like how the half and half came with red and green sauce and white and yellow cheese. It tasted delicious, but it needed to have more tacos included and better customer service.

Great food! Service was fast. I feel like it I stayed for dinner, it would be a great night out dancing or karaoke. Watched the FIFA game! Thanks!!

I was finally able to stop by with an hour wait for some pies up the street and man was I glad I had the time. I got to try out the famous rolled tacos with a half and half green and red split of beef and chicken and I only wish I had taken a before picture because they was amazing ... so amazing I just rambled in a grammatical run on sentence of euphoric satisfaction with all that's left is the fries with cheese and salsa that were way too much for me to finish or my gym time would have been pure guilt punishment for the indulgence of such excess ... not excess by any means on their part it was da bomb and if I didn't care about my diet trust me I would have devoured the entire table . Thank you for a great food experience!!!!

Love love love this place! Can't get enough of the wings! The sweet heat are amazing. Their queso is fantastic and their nachos are a must try. Always consistent. Great service and best bar food in El Paso I've tried so far.

Weekly Specials, definitely check out the good prices & wide variety menu

SPEAKEASY ON THE SURFACE WORLD The definition of a district is a part of a city or country that stands out because of a particular characteristic. When you arrive at the front door for the first time (up until 2AM), you just don't know what is on the other side. Step inside and you are comforted by a neighborhood bar on the right, plenty of tables on the left, a darts board, karaoke area, and screens & projectors of football games in every direction that you turn. The screens literally follow your eyes so that you dont miss any second of action and makes this place an ideal spot for the big game. Not that I have your attention, lets talk about the food and why this place is your next destination for game day. The FOOD: TASTY PUB FAVORITES WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK Note: Check out their Weekly specials in the picture below: Monday: $0.75 traditional wings Tuesday: $1 tacos Wednesday: $5 burger, $3 for 3 rolled tacos Rolled Tacos (Half & Half- Chicken & Beef in Red & Green Sauce): ROLLED UP EL PASO COMFORT Four rolled up chicken & beef tacos in a bowl of red & green sauce topped with a generous portion of cheddar & Monterey jack cheese. What else can you ask for, especially after work on a chilly day. The chicken and beef were a bit underseasoned (-1 star), but the red & green sauce gave them bold Mexican flavor. The red sauce supplied tangy tomato goodness, while the green sauce provided the fruitiness of the chilis. The side of green salsa in a cup packs actual spicy heat; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The cheese supplies the queso comfort that cuts the spiciness of the salsa and makes this a cult classic. Honestly after 4 rolled tacos and the sauce, you wont know whether it was these tacos or the alcohol that put you to heavenly sleep. $0.75 BONE IN WINGS ON MONDAYS: MAKING MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GREAT AGAIN The wings in general come hot, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. What's really cool is that for $0.75 wings, you can order as many or as little as you want. The waitress said she was cool with me ordering 1 of each wing if I wanted to, but maybe she just liked me? Try it out if you're interested. -Hot Serrano: GREEN WINGS NEVER LOOKED THAT GOOD: Hot and dry serrano heat with a garnish of cilantro. Spicy, creamy, crunchy, and everything else you could hope for. -Sweet Heat: SWEET & SPICY LIKE THE EX-GIRLFRIEND: A little of bit of sweet honey mixed in with the desert heat is enough to get you addicted. Each bite satisfied my craving for sugar and tempted by addiction to heat. -Garlic Parmesan: THE ITALIAN COLLABORATION THAT WE ALWAYS WANTED & NEEDED: Like a portable chicken parmesan without the tomato sauce. Each bite filled your mouth with garlic and sharp, salty parmesan with an additional crunch. Definitely worth going for in all situations except for a first date. -Buffalo Lemon Pepper: SPICY & SOUR LIKE THE EX-GIRLFRIEND Deja vu (feel like I have used this title before), but a different kind of vinegary heat with lemon pepper. The flavors were everywhere, but reminded me of a mini spicy, lemon pepper rotisserie chicken. The VERDICT: YOUR SEARCH IS OVER, THE LAST DISTRICT OF EL PASO From the great music selection, affordable & diverse food options, and the 360 degrees of screens all throughout the place, District Pub and Kitchen is the place you need for Monday game days, after work destressing, and the meeting spot to see old friends and make new ones. The Rolled Tacos are filled with that bold, homey El Paso comfort & enough to satisfy the biggest eaters. The meat is a bit underseasoned when you eat them without the sauce, but definitely try them with the sauce & cheese & the actually spicy green salsa on the side. $0.75 Bone In Wings on Monday are no limit and open to your imagination. Definitely recommend the Hot Serrano, Sweet Heat, Garlic Parmesan, and Buffalo Lemon Pepper. Try a few of each and definitely leave home with some for the post-game/post-meal snack. I get good vibes from this place and will definitely be back for those game days, time after work, or just to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones along the way.

It's a little hard to find tucked back in a little strip center. The inside is interesting decor with different theme walls. What was nice is that the staff was very friendly. It was close to closing time so we ordered fast and got our chips and salsa quickly. Loved the homemade chips and that they were still warm. Salsa was ok. I liked my fajitas but I wasn't as blown away with the taste as my co-worker. I had a few pieces of meat that had grizzle when I bit into them. It wasn't as seasoned as I was hoping too. The beans and rice were ok but didn't appear scratch made.

Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

About 8 large chile toreados, grilled onions.and plenty of corn tortillas. The charro beans were mostly bean soup. I actually poured some of the bean soup into a bowl so we could serve ourselves to avoid some spilling. The baked potatoes were generously bathed in butter. They did not provide any other toppings for the potatoes. Personally I think some sour cream, or Mexican crema de la Mesa, some chives, some other toppings would have been nice. The queso fundido was good but also a disappointment. It was missing the chorizo that I had paid extra for. The meat was very good. Well done but not dry or hard to chew. I was pleased to see that the chicken was not cooked into dryness. We did come across a couple of meat grisel or what in Spanish is called "nervio". Looking back, El Cometa is what started my taco obsession. Their tacos al pastor con queso are so good. The marinated pork is perfectly seasoned, a little greasy in the best way, and topped with melted cheese. One thing I love is their salsa bar. I always grab the red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole. I pile all three on my tacos, and every bite is amazing. Their tacos remind me of my favorite tacos at the resort my family visited every summer in Cancún. Even though it has been years since I have been there, El Cometa brings those memories back with every bite. The staff is incredible. Last summer, the hostess recognized me right away and seated me immediately. She even remembered my order. I order the exact same thing every visit: tacos and two cans of Sprite.
