Pups in the dog friendly room

Had a great stay this weekend at The Dive! They treated us and our two pups so well. There's a big grass area on the premises to let your dogs do their business and the pool and overall ambiance was great! The BBQ truck on the property was popping too. Leo and Bruce just wanted to give a shout out to the staff for the love and pets too (pictured below). Long Live The Dive! We will be back P.S. if you have a problem with a couple bugs it sounds like the south in general is your issue not the motel. Our room was very clean

4.7 stars for this motel. I loved the aesthetic and would gladly stay here again. We did not take advantage of the pool as the temperature dipped off this weekend but we did have the opportunity to lounge by the pool. It was a quiet motel even with the singles event going on in the bar area. The only things I'd recommend to the establishment is a place to hang towels post shower, better shower heads, and an overhead light that was brighter. We were in room 6 and the only good lighting we had was from the window but it was difficult to do my makeup. Other than that we had a great time and would return anytime.

I love The Dive Motel...and I didn't think I would! When my husband told me he'd booked this place that looked straight out of the 60s and had no TV, I thought I was going to hate it! But the retro vibe is really cool, and I, honestly, haven't missed having a TV. I love music so listening to Dive Radio is fun. And I love the channel names. Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n Roll and Sleep. So many good tunes! The Dive Motel has a reputation as being the place to party. One night when we came back, the bar and lounge were packed with people! There was a dj playing too. So, we decided to hang out and have a couple beers! We haven't stayed here when it's warm and used the pool, but I really want to. I bet their pool parties are epic!! The rooms have always been clean, and any question or request we've had has been responded to or taken care of quickly. Not to mention, the staff has always been super friendly and helpful!

What can be said about The Dive Motel other than it's ....party central! My looort! I planned a girls trip for me and three friends to Nashville! I had no idea it's like the bachelorette capital and referred to as Nash-Vegas. As you might guess...not my speed but I wanted to do it up. The Dive has those seventies old California pool vibezzzz. If you are staying here, you can claim your lawn chair by the pool before the crowds can come in at noon. The passes are included with your stay so that's a total bonus. The pool is huge and there's even a hot tub. The staff comes to the pool to take your drink orders. So tip your staff! They're hustling! There's bathrooms by the pool and closer to the bar. If you stay here, you can also ask for towels. Our room was a double Queen! It was huge with large beds. My friends went nuts for the disco ball, crazy lights and music speaker genres called "sex" and "drugs" for examples. I was hoping the bar served some fun bar food or brunch. They do not. There's a food truck. The Uber driver who took us here said the neighborhood was not so safe. I'm from NY and didn't believe him. I made it like 5 minutes out before the weirdos started crossing the street for me. So don't leave unless it's via Uber. Make sure you stock up on essentials, sunblock, water and booze (only for your room, not allowed at pool). One night we did come home and the bar was still hopping. Eventually the bartender grew tired of us and tried to scare us off with some Whitney Houston. Very good times. Saturday is the day to come! Hands down! There was a super cool drag show when we went and our DJ John Stamps was killing it! Hot tip to Dive Motel- sell sun block! Give ppl tips on where to go in the area. I recommend Red Headed Stranger for grub. Thanks to the free morning coffee! Will recommend this place to all my party ppl.

The Dive is more of an aesthetic than nightly accommodation. There has been an immense amount of effort into transporting the 1970's to this quickly gentrifying area of Nashville. The effort to make this seem like a cleaned up crummy motel (down to the selectively burned-out lights on the sign) were appreciated and definitely set it apart from any chain you're going to find. The assortment of room themes, the long colorful lines around the pool, the kitsch in the bar/lobby are all very fun and seemingly designed for Instagram backgrounds. The place looks amazing! All rooms face the pool area with fountains feeding into it, a hot tub beyond and even a little sloped area for sunning yourself while staying cool. It was too cold during our stay to enjoy the pool, but the fountains never turned off, so if you like the white noise of a waterfall, you're in luck. The music that pumps out around the swimming area thankfully turns off at 10. The rooms are not particularly insulated against the sound and with their concrete floors and spartan furnishings seem more like the doors are meant to be opened up for a large pool party where people come and go than anything else. A color-coordinated mini-fridge is ready, but the compressor was very loud so that got unplugged at night. You trade out a closet or any type of dresser where you could store luggage or clothing for a large disco ball with a Party Switch and in-room stereo with three musical selections: Sex, Drugs, or Rock & Roll. I'm not sure I fully grasped the nuanced differences in song selection for each of these stations, but it was cute. Surprisingly, the mattress provided one of the best night's sleep I've had in years; so much so that we pulled back the sheets to find the make/model (Wright W1-27) to look into buying one. Despite COVID, the bar had a few people visiting on the weekend. The drinks were good and service was excellent. It did have a heavy cleaner smell, but the bourbon helped. It was a fine night, but my assertion that it was more of an aesthetic than anything else was reinforced the next morning. The lobby/bar was locked up, so hopefully tossing my key card on the comforter was OK. The small parking lot was nearly empty, aside from one guy who asked if we were there for the music video shoot. I'm not sure when he was able to get inside with everything locked up, but I'll bet the finished product looked great!

FUN! The Dive Motel was such a fun experience. The 70s theme is carried throughout. It's an easy and accepting place that will just make you smile. If you have any connection to the era of peace of love The Dive Motel is a must visit. The location on Dickerson Pike is not the most desirable however, this seems to be the "East Nashville" of 20 years ago. New businesses, homes, etc popping up everywhere. My two star of the location will surely change in the future. But know that we felt extremely safe and didn't worry about a thing. The whole place is surrounded by a big fence so it's very private for its own guests. The staff were just amazing and friendly. The communication pre and post visit via text was appreciated. The whole place just has a vibe. Themed rooms, bar, just every detail makes you think you've gone back in time. Most clientele we encountered were probably in their late 20s/early 30s. We are a couple decades ahead of that but didn't feel out of place at all. We lived this era and appreciate it! Everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained. I would recommend The Dive Motel over and over. Just a great experience.

    Cobwebs in multiple places

Let me first say that I was SO excited to stay here. They market this place very well. Upon my stay, I found out the hard way what a horrible place to stay that it actually is. Our first room had cockroaches and tiny spiders all over it. lamps didn't work, only one nightstand, no luggage rack, no dressers to put clothes, body wash dispensers broken, the plug outlets were so weak it wouldn't charge an ipad, and the shower drain was completely clogged. They switched us to a new room and it wasn't quite as bad but that bathtub was still clogged (drained a tiny bit faster) the lamp still didn't work, but the worst part was that they moved us to a room right next to the outdoor dj booth (for the pool area) and the DJ music was so incredibly loud that even with the door and windows closed sitting on the bed next to my boyfriend, I couldn't even hear what he was saying to me. I truly wish I was exaggerating. The window blinds would shake with the bass. I could feel the bass shaking all the way in the bathroom. It was so excruciatingly loud for HOURS. You couldn't hear anything besides the music. My boyfriend and I would literally have to yell at each other or just walk up and yell in each other's faces to even communicate. It was awful. Don't get me wrong, I love loud music, but if you are going to have your music that loud then you need to have double pained windows or soundproof rooms to make sure that your paying hotel guests can at the very least, hear each other talk!! The photos for their place are extremely misleading. You will absolutely not get a room with a hot tub inside it like the pictures show unless you book the penthouse specifically. (which are $500 a night) All the pictures that they show with the hot tubs are the upgraded penthouse rooms. The rest of the rooms are located right beside the pool and are TINY. The "restaurant" is a food truck they pulled onto the property with only one woman working it. We ordered a smashburger and fries and it took her 2 and 1/2 hours to get us our food. and they don't allow outside food on the premise! They are severely understaffed. Honestly this place has the potential to be so cute and nice but the owners just need to put a little (more like A LOT) more effort into the building that they own. It is SO run down and you can tell that nobody really cares about all the broken and missing items that a hotel room should have. They don't even have the basics. I thought that I was booking a modernized hotel that was maintained to look vintage but what it actually is is an old, broken down, unloved vintage building that needs more attention and BASIC updates. It really is a shame. Whoever runs this place severely lacks the attention to detail quality. I've never been so let down at a hotel before. Hotel pictures don't match the actual experience. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I for sure feel like I got catfished.

We got all our stuff, parked and walked back in and sure enough our room was ready. We had the 2 queen beds and it was an okay size room, not much seating for 4 people but it did the job as we didn't hang out in the room much. The pool was awesome! My kids loved it and it was like a volleyball pool (deep in the middle) so you can talk and touch the ground with people who aren't swimming. The spa is huge and a ton of groups can fit in there without touching toes which is awesome. I saw an employee take a PH test of the pool so it's nice to see they take care of it. There is an employee in the pool area at all times (at least what I saw) and she was friendly and nice. The best part??? Happy hour! How cool is it that this hotel offered free food and 3 free alcoholic beverages to every guest (drinks for 21+, obviously and unlimited fountain drinks for kids). It was such a nice treat because then we didn't have to pay for dinner every night. It did get crowded, but the employees kept everything clean and moving smoothly it didn't seem like you were standing in line at all. The breakfast was free in the morning, and free dinner really helps with the price of everything in downtown Nashville. I really wish there was a coffee shop inside the hotel lobby, I think there is one around the corner, but it opened a little later so I had to figure something else out. That is my only gripe and that isn't really one! Definitely book this hotel if you have kids, are on a budget, or just want to hang out and enjoy the pool and food.

The Caucasian gentleman you have working night shift (2 am) has the worst attitude and the African-American lady is no better, throwing her hands up saying I don't know what to tell you. He told us to go back out to the 6th and 7th level out of the lobby door and to find our truck and hotel keys and come back. He obviously has a lack of comprehension skills as we told him we couldn't not find our truck off of Broadway . Our cousin had two rooms in this hotel and got ours for us as a gift and he acted like we were asking for a kidney when we asked him to call their room. He stated they have multiple rooms (only two I might add) and he didn't know which one to call. I said ours is on the 9th floor. Please call the 16th floor number. Our phones had died and we were all suffering from heat exhaustion. We had blisters on our feet and his snobby and cranky attitude was anything but what I consider the customer service your hotel should be providing. I said what's with the attitude? To which he stormed off afterwards and told the lady to handle it. We had your wonderful breakfast in the morning and had nothing but sweet interactions with housekeeping, the ladies working on the 8th floor and day staff. I was thankful for that, and changed my reviews for that reason. Would have loved to give your hotel 5 stars but unfortunately two bad apples ruined that.

For a hotel charging around $300 per night, the condition of the room was extremely disappointing. The bedding was worn out and overdue for replacement. The bed sheets were dingy, stained, and looked unclean. The air-conditioning vent blew directly onto the bed, making the room uncomfortably cold throughout the night. Combined with the paper-thin duvet, I spent the night freezing. The bathroom was equally disappointing. The walls were dirty, stained, and clearly in need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. Overall, the room felt neglected and poorly maintained. Given the nightly rate, I expected a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained room. I was able to book our 4 nights through a combination of Hilton Points and my annual free night off my Amex credit card. Such a deal! And as a Diamond member, I had use of the Executive Lounge and a $30 food and beverage credit. We all had a very pleasant stay. The room was roomy and comfortable, the shower water was hot and strong, and we slept well. Our window faced towards the Hockey Arena, and there was selective Broadway-related noise in the evening. That became background noise soon enough that really didn't affect sleep. However, I suspect that this Hotel is due for some refurbishment as the armrests on the couch were worn and at least one cabinet molding came off. Housekeeping sometimes came late in the day, and after they skipped us after the first night, we made it a point to remind them. As for the $30 food credit, we used the convenient coffee kiosk by the elevators often. Fruit, cookie bars, coffee, and other snacks were often available at the Executive Lounge, although I found this to be one more basic offerings that I'd experienced with Hilton. We didn't really figure out how to have a proper breakfast here, but there were plenty of excellent choices within a short walking distance. The Italian restaurant (separate review) was a pleasant surprise one night for dinner, in terms of value, good food, and excellent service. Then there were the 3 elevator banks, one of which was out-of-service, and required knowing that there were 2 call buttons to keep track of. Parts of the day did require some waiting as every floor (of 10) was often in play. As we headed back to the airport yesterday, I agree with my brother-in-laws comment that with all the location and room positives, this hotel lacked a certain character. Maybe it was size, maybe it was good service without a lot of personality, or maybe because of where they are, they can mail it in occasionally. Or maybe the little things we noticed started to add up. I'm a loyal Hilton Honors member, but if there's a next time for Nashville, I might look at some of their other nearby options.

This place sports a a coffee shop, merch shop, hotel lobby bar, rooftop bar & a really cool speakeasy. The hotel is right smack in downtown and easily accessible to Broadway. Right behind the hotel you'll find Printers Alley, music bars! The rooms were a nice size, clean with just beds that were not favorite. They make up for it with a really nice Nespresso Cafe station on every floor of the hotel. Water and ice too. I ordered room service one morning. Everything was tasty, thick bacon, plenty of potatoes and three words "BISQUITS , BUTTER, JAM" Must have!! Order two or 6! I'd definitely stay here again! One thing. The picture of our lovely Renata " Very scary at night!" =)-

A Love Letter to Noelle Hotel - Where Nashville's History Meets Modern Luxury…read more Some hotels simply give you a place to sleep. Noelle gives you an experience. Located at 200 4th Avenue North, just steps from historic Printer's Alley and only a short walk to Broadway and the Ryman, Noelle occupies a beautifully restored 1929 landmark that originally opened as the Noel Hotel. After decades serving as an office building, it underwent a remarkable restoration and reopened in 2017, preserving its architectural soul while transforming into one of Nashville's most beautiful boutique hotels. From the moment I walked through the front doors, I was completely smitten. The first thing that caught my eye? The gorgeous one-inch mosaic tile floor spelling out NOELLE at the entrance. It instantly reminded me of the grand historic hotels I've wandered through in Europe. Every detail feels intentional. The soaring ceilings. The original marble. The stunning Art Deco and Classical Revival architecture. The plush emerald velvet furniture. The dramatic lighting. The oversized artwork. Every corner begs you to stop, admire it, and take another photo. It's truly a feast for the eyes. The location couldn't be better. You're tucked just far enough away from Broadway to escape the chaos, yet close enough to walk to all the music, restaurants, and nightlife that make downtown Nashville so special. The valet staff couldn't have been friendlier, making arrival and departure completely effortless. Even if you're not staying overnight, Noelle is worth visiting. Inside the lobby is Drug Store Coffee, a gorgeous café with beautiful design, an incredible pastry case, excellent coffee, and a menu that made me wish I'd arrived hungry. It feels more like an upscale European café than a hotel coffee shop. I could have happily spent an entire morning there. Downstairs you'll also discover Lona, one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in Nashville. Outstanding food, beautiful décor, exceptional service, and a hidden speakeasy tucked away nearby complete the experience. Honestly, Lona alone is worth making the trip to Noelle. What impressed me most is that Noelle doesn't feel manufactured. It feels authentic. The restoration honors the building's nearly century-long history while embracing modern luxury, art, and Nashville's creative spirit. It's sophisticated without feeling stuffy and elegant without losing its warmth. I didn't stay overnight this visit, but after spending several hours exploring the property, I already know where I'll be booking my room next time I'm in Nashville. Hotels like this remind you that travel isn't just about checking destinations off a list. It's about finding places that make you slow down, look around, and appreciate great design, thoughtful hospitality, and the stories held within historic walls. Noelle is one of those places. Life's too short not to eat well, travel well, and sleep somewhere with a story to tell. Noelle lets you do all three.

I was charged extra for the strawberries and champagne when I had already paid for it by purchasing the "With Love" package to begin with. I was charged an additional 56$ for in room dining that I never even purchased at all. I also didn't receive my $50 credit that the "With Love" package is supposed to come with. I brought these issues to the staff's attention upon checkout when I received my bill and saw so many things wrong with it. The person who answered the phone (night auditor) was leaving around 7am and told me he couldn't help me and that I needed to call back later to speak with a manager. He did not take notes or pass my issue along to anyone, so when I called back later, no one was aware of what happened. To make matters worse, it took a manager 1.5 hours to resolve the issue after my initial phone call at 7am. I called the front desk 3 times and after 1.5 hours with no call back or resolution, I had to go down there myself and demand to speak to a manager. This was my first wedding anniversary with my husband and we will never forget it because of how bad the service was. Even with the additional charges being removed and the manager refunding us about $100 in bar charges, it wasn't enough to make the situation better. We should have been refunded for the entire "With Love" package and charged a standard room rate for our entire stay since the entire "With Love" package was not delivered as promised on the Omni website. The manager tried to help us and did what she thought made sense (removing the charges and comping some bar drinks from our tab), but that doesn't make up for ruining our first wedding anniversary. I NEVER should have had to follow up on any of this. The "With Love" package should have been experienced as advertised and if they couldn't do that, I shouldn't have been charged for it at all. It changes your nightly room rate to a higher cost than what standard guests are paying. I still paid "extra" and didn't receive what I paid for.

Shana was the one who helped us upon arrival and my gosh she was amazing. So polite, inviting and overall gave us such a good experience and feel that we ended up cancelling our other hotel to continue our stay at JW Marriott for the remainder of our stay in Nashville. She really needs a shoutout by the way she treats people! Exceptional. Room was great and pool was fun too!

The bar on the top floor the host or whoever he was said there closing and no service at the bar. May we just look around for a second? he followed us to the bar and the bartender asked if we wanted a drink uh sure but I thought you we're closin. No sir you have 15-20 minutes I turned and looked at the host who said they were closed and I asked if we could sit and the end of the bar and he said that section is closed. so we ordered our drink and stood there drinking it and the bartender said we could have a seat at the other end of the bar where the host told us no. I've had better service at Fairfield Inn in Arkansas coming and headed back home than the stay in Nashville. Never again will I stay at the JW Nashville. Tried to let a manager know how their service is below Marriott standards and he could care a less Why shouldn't he care when we're paying 800.00 a night.
