Disclaimer: I didn't stay in the rooms, but I can tell you, the people saying it was loud and impossible to rest or sleep were telling the truth. Rooms are right up next to the pool with no protection AT ALL. On one side, you have regular oldies playing, on the other side you have the DJ playing, resulting in total cacophony. But I can't tell you if that makes staying there worth it or not. I stopped by to see the infamous pool area. It's pretty cool, but fairly underwhelming. Just a small-ish pool, though surprisingly not overcrowded on a Saturday August afternoon. The area was pretty clean and uncluttered. The bar area was dimly lit, retro, and pretty empty. Very few things to choose from. Mostly well drinks/cocktails and frozen margaritas. Laid back, unproblematic service. I spent some time sitting outside, just admiring the aesthetic and taking some photos. There is a Photo Booth outside. A food truck selling tacos and hot dogs. A 38 plus dollar day pass for the pool seems expensive for what you're getting. Guests get a couple hours in the morning before the public is allowed in. For a certain demographic, young and bored, this spot would probably be fine. But I wouldn't pay another 38 bucks to visit. read more

I reserved a room here during a road trip and instantly knew I'd fall in love with the ambience and retro aesthetics. Upon arriving, the room we reserved wasn't available but they accommodated us and offered us two separate rooms instead for the price of the original reservation. It turned out even better which I appreciated. The retro decor in each room varied but we were able to get two rooms next to each other facing the pool. While they were under a bit of construction, I didn't seem to mind much because the place was so cool. I originally saw them featured on an article highlighting the countries best divey hotels and I'm glad I booked it because the disco theme was a perfect way to bring in my birthday night. The bar was open reasonably late offering an option to pregame before dinner. The plumbing is sensitive here as when I showered the water didn't drain well but that's probably related to the upgrades they were making at the time so I allowed it. It's certainly a groovy spot and the rooms are not anything like your average motel. Parking is on site and it's pet friendly. Plus, tbere are ashtrays outside on each table for the smokers. read more

Ah, The Dive Motel...Have you been looking for an 80's Retro style Bar + Motel + Swim Club? Well, if so, then look no further than The Dive Motel! Situated on Dickerson Pike, The Dive Motel gives off old school Dickerson Pike vibes, if you know what I mean...but this is only if you do not know what is behind the doors and gates of this place. If you do, then you know that The Dive Motel is a rad spot to grab some cocktails, do a little dancing, sleeping or even some swimming! While we have never stayed here, we do drop by for cocktails and a dip in the pool/hot tub on occasion. Every inch of this place is outfitted in retro-chic starting with the bar, which features wood paneling, an old school box TV, a disco ball and walls adorned with an impressive collection of 70's/80's style artwork. The rooms are just as retro with each of them being "themed" and featuring the same wood paneling, along with old school lighting, artwork and even appliances! While most folks that stay are from out of town, they do have an onsite ask only special that includes a room + beer for $99, based on availability at the time. The swimming club is just that, you can join for the summer or pay per day. This is also an option for the hot tub after the summer months. During the summer, they have a small food stall that is open where you can get a little grub whether by the pool or at the bar. Service has always been stellar here. Bartenders are friendly and chill, happy to share stories of the place with those willing to listen. Overall, The Dive Motel is a complete vibe. Had a great stay this weekend at The Dive! They treated us and our two pups so well. There's a big grass area on the premises to let your dogs do their business and the pool and overall ambiance was great! The BBQ truck on the property was popping too. 4.7 stars for this motel. I loved the aesthetic and would gladly stay here again. We did not take advantage of the pool as the temperature dipped off this weekend but we did have the opportunity to lounge by the pool. It was a quiet motel even with the singles event going on in the bar area. The only things I'd recommend to the establishment is a place to hang towels post shower, better shower heads, and an overhead light that was brighter. We were in room 6 and the only good lighting we had was from the window but it was difficult to do my makeup. Other than that we had a great time and would return anytime. read more

So it is in a part of town that is a bit shady. When we arrived the music was ridiculously loud! A young man with his girlfriend lifted her onto the top of a giant dumpster and was very affectionate. So we checked in, which was quick and efficient. We were given two keys and two coin looking things for a free drink. We walked out of the bar/check in area. The very loud music was actually from the pool area. The room was significantly smaller than the pictures. They must have had professional pictures done and shot a specific angel's . The room was clean and the floors were finished concrete. They did have a mini fridge with drinks, snacks above along with condoms and an adult toy to name a few. Strange but fine. The bed was VERY comfortable. They told us there would be live music at 8. So we went. I would not call it live music. Only12 people in the bar listening. The artist forgot the words to her song and I think she sang maybe 5-7 songs. A bit disappointing. So why 3 stars? As I said before the room was very small, one night stand, no TV, no place to put you luggage besides the floor. concrete floors, very dark, poor lighting loud all night, and security/safety concerns. Other guests would walk by the room all night talking and you could hear every words. Sleeping was more than challenging. I was concerned about security. Would are vehicle be safe and secure? The rooms do have key insert and a chain lock. However the chain lock is attached to the trim around the door which was pulling away from the wall. Which means it was not helpful and would not provide any additional security. The pool was unusually small. We did not use the pool or spend anytime using that amenity. Online the motel seemed like a step back in time. A fun little niche motel/hotel. However I think they just did not want to do upgrades and renovation. It could look 70's with two night stands, a place to put your stuff, a tv, lights that were helpful for seeing, a secure door and better insulation and walls with insulation. So, it was ok. Not a place I would stay again. And the owner seems to be aggressive with responses to online reviews. Not a good look. So don't come for me. read more

I love The Dive Motel...and I didn't think I would! When my husband told me he'd booked this place that looked straight out of the 60s and had no TV, I thought I was going to hate it! But the retro vibe is really cool, and I, honestly, haven't missed having a TV. I love music so listening to Dive Radio is fun. And I love the channel names. Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n Roll and Sleep. So many good tunes! The Dive Motel has a reputation as being the place to party. One night when we came back, the bar and lounge were packed with people! There was a dj playing too. So, we decided to hang out and have a couple beers! We haven't stayed here when it's warm and used the pool, but I really want to. I bet their pool parties are epic!! What can be said about The Dive Motel other than it's ....party central! My looort! I planned a girls trip for me and three friends to Nashville! I had no idea it's like the bachelorette capital and referred to as Nash-Vegas. As you might guess...not my speed but I wanted to do it up. The Dive has those seventies old California pool vibezzzz. If you are staying here, you can claim your lawn chair by the pool before the crowds can come in at noon. The passes are included with your stay so that's a total bonus. The pool is huge and there's even a hot tub. The staff comes to the pool to take your drink orders. So tip your staff! They're hustling! There's bathrooms by the pool and closer to the bar. If you stay here, you can also ask for towels. Our room was a double Queen! It was huge with large beds. My friends went nuts for the disco ball, crazy lights and music speaker genres called "sex" and "drugs" for examples. I was hoping the bar served some fun bar food or brunch. They do not. There's a food truck. The Uber driver who took us here said the neighborhood was not so safe. I'm from NY and didn't believe him. I made it like 5 minutes out before the weirdos started crossing the street for me. So don't leave unless it's via Uber. Make sure you stock up on essentials, sunblock, water and booze (only for your room, not allowed at pool). One night we did come home and the bar was still hopping. Eventually the bartender grew tired of us and tried to scare us off with some Whitney Houston. Very good times. Saturday is the day to come! Hands down! There was a super cool drag show when we went and our DJ John Stamps was killing it! Hot tip to Dive Motel- sell sun block! Give ppl tips on where to go in the area. I wish I could give zero stars for this place .the pictures do match what's in real life .apparently well known to locals ,as a craphole .when we arrived after driving 26hrs we arrived to a place that was disappointing .the room smelled like a musty basement and I have asthma and it was triggering it . I talked to the owner she offered another room . The bar/office smelled musty like the room so I figure the whole place smells . I asked for my money back but I went through hotels.com so ,it was good luck on getting your money back . Threw my wife a birthday party here and everyone had a blast. We rented a cabana, with included some carafes of mixed drinks, table side service, and good vibes. I came into Nashville for my 40th birthday with my partner. We made a reservation for what we thought was $40 each for the cabana via Dive's website. The reservation was set through Resy. When signing in the morning of the reservation we see below in the description that the cost of the cabana was 395 for weekdays and 495 for weekends. When I called to see if we can cancel due to the cost that was not clear we were told we would be charged $80 for cancellation. We decided to go to the pool anyway and not use the "cabana". When we got there I was shocked to see what I would have been paying $300 for. It is just an overhang with chairs. I tried to talk to the staff letting them know we were still coming and still paying the $25 entry each as well as eating and drinking which would more than cover the $80 fee. They were unwilling to waive it . It's unfortunate because we had a great time at the pool, but this was a negative experience that could have been avoided by having clear prices in the checkout on resy and clear explanation of what you are getting with the reservation. Even so, it's poor business to charge a cancelation fee for someone who is still coming and spending money at your establishment. read more

We used to love coming to The Dive Motel, but were wildly caught off-guard with a $35 per person charge for a day-pass for the pool ($550 for a summer pass). I didn't see this information anywhere on their website. We are already buying drinks and food, that charge is just far too high and clearly meant to attract new-Nashville-transplants and tourists. As a Nashville native, I am disappointed at the constant price-hiking in this area. This place is cool, but not for a day-date +$100 for my boyfriend and I. We got some drinks and sliders from the food truck located inside, Slide Hustle (which I HIGHLY recommend), and will find somewhere else to spend our summer. read more

This review reflects my experience during the entire summer of 2023, with hopes for improvement in 2024. Last year, I purchased a pool pass for my partner and myself to enjoy the Dive. The pool season started promisingly in May but had turned disappointing by June. The water was consistently unclean, and the level was often too low for the filters to function properly. Attempts to refill the pool with a garden hose were ineffective, especially since they were done midday when it was too late to make a difference. Drink service from the outdoor window was infrequent and, when available, both limited and unfriendly. The pool's condition was generally poor. This season, I sincerely hope that management has budgeted for professional pool service and plans to maintain the pool in respectable condition so it can be truly enjoyed. Don't disappoint us, Dive Motel. You can do better. read more

The Dive is more of an aesthetic than nightly accommodation. There has been an immense amount of effort into transporting the 1970's to this quickly gentrifying area of Nashville. The effort to make this seem like a cleaned up crummy motel (down to the selectively burned-out lights on the sign) were appreciated and definitely set it apart from any chain you're going to find. The assortment of room themes, the long colorful lines around the pool, the kitsch in the bar/lobby are all very fun and seemingly designed for Instagram backgrounds. The place looks amazing! All rooms face the pool area with fountains feeding into it, a hot tub beyond and even a little sloped area for sunning yourself while staying cool. It was too cold during our stay to enjoy the pool, but the fountains never turned off, so if you like the white noise of a waterfall, you're in luck. The music that pumps out around the swimming area thankfully turns off at 10. The rooms are not particularly insulated against the sound and with their concrete floors and spartan furnishings seem more like the doors are meant to be opened up for a large pool party where people come and go than anything else. A color-coordinated mini-fridge is ready, but the compressor was very loud so that got unplugged at night. You trade out a closet or any type of dresser where you could store luggage or clothing for a large disco ball with a Party Switch and in-room stereo with three musical selections: Sex, Drugs, or Rock & Roll. I'm not sure I fully grasped the nuanced differences in song selection for each of these stations, but it was cute. Surprisingly, the mattress provided one of the best night's sleep I've had in years; so much so that we pulled back the sheets to find the make/model (Wright W1-27) to look into buying one. Despite COVID, the bar had a few people visiting on the weekend. The drinks were good and service was excellent. It did have a heavy cleaner smell, but the bourbon helped. It was a fine night, but my assertion that it was more of an aesthetic than anything else was reinforced the next morning. The lobby/bar was locked up, so hopefully tossing my key card on the comforter was OK. The small parking lot was nearly empty, aside from one guy who asked if we were there for the music video shoot. FUN! The Dive Motel was such a fun experience. The 70s theme is carried throughout. It's an easy and accepting place that will just make you smile. If you have any connection to the era of peace of love The Dive Motel is a must visit. The location on Dickerson Pike is not the most desirable however, this seems to be the "East Nashville" of 20 years ago. New businesses, homes, etc popping up everywhere. My two star of the location will surely change in the future. But know that we felt extremely safe and didn't worry about a thing. The whole place is surrounded by a big fence so it's very private for its own guests. The staff were just amazing and friendly. The communication pre and post visit via text was appreciated. The whole place just has a vibe. Themed rooms, bar, just every detail makes you think you've gone back in time. Most clientele we encountered were probably in their late 20s/early 30s. We are a couple decades ahead of that but didn't feel out of place at all. We lived this era and appreciate it! Everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained. Wow, where to begin. Suns out buns out baby. Came here to look at local colleges for my one of my daughters. Needed a place to crash for just myself. This place was so cool. I recently reconnected with an old fling (out of all the cities) her and her friend couldn't get over the decor and how cozy the room was. You can't hear a peep, it's like you're locked in your own little oasis. Took me back to the the real days of rock and roll. The memories I'll have. Thank you. 10 outta 10 recommend. The Dive Motel is a bar/club and hotel with a swim club that has a killer fun dance floor complete with disco ball and amazing DJ! My friends and I went to celebrate my friend's birthday and we never got off the dance floor except for water breaks and feet breaks. I can only comment about the bar but everyone was friendly. Drinks were great. They had a water station that you could access any time you pleased. Security was present and they had someone check IDs at the front door. They have an outdoor space and a food truck. Smoking is allowed outside. Can't wait to go back and dance the night away! read more

This place is super retro. It's got a freakin' awesome vibe! We intended to do a cabana day out by the pool, but unfortunately a thunderstorm got in the way. Instead, we ended up chilling in the bar room all day. The drinks were tasty and moderately priced, the staff was very nice, and no one gave us a hard time about refunding us for the cabana! Let me first say that I was SO excited to stay here. They market this place very well. Upon my stay, I found out the hard way what a horrible place to stay that it actually is. Our first room had cockroaches and tiny spiders all over it. lamps didn't work, only one nightstand, no luggage rack, no dressers to put clothes, body wash dispensers broken, the plug outlets were so weak it wouldn't charge an ipad, and the shower drain was completely clogged. They switched us to a new room and it wasn't quite as bad but that bathtub was still clogged (drained a tiny bit faster) the lamp still didn't work, but the worst part was that they moved us to a room right next to the outdoor dj booth (for the pool area) and the DJ music was so incredibly loud that even with the door and windows closed sitting on the bed next to my boyfriend, I couldn't even hear what he was saying to me. I truly wish I was exaggerating. The window blinds would shake with the bass. I could feel the bass shaking all the way in the bathroom. It was so excruciatingly loud for HOURS. You couldn't hear anything besides the music. My boyfriend and I would literally have to yell at each other or just walk up and yell in each other's faces to even communicate. It was awful. Don't get me wrong, I love loud music, but if you are going to have your music that loud then you need to have double pained windows or soundproof rooms to make sure that your paying hotel guests can at the very least, hear each other talk!! The photos for their place are extremely misleading. You will absolutely not get a room with a hot tub inside it like the pictures show unless you book the penthouse specifically. (which are $500 a night) All the pictures that they show with the hot tubs are the upgraded penthouse rooms. The rest of the rooms are located right beside the pool and are TINY. The "restaurant" is a food truck they pulled onto the property with only one woman working it. We ordered a smashburger and fries and it took her 2 and 1/2 hours to get us our food. and they don't allow outside food on the premise! They are severely understaffed. Honestly this place has the potential to be so cute and nice but the owners just need to put a little (more like A LOT) more effort into the building that they own. It is SO run down and you can tell that nobody really cares about all the broken and missing items that a hotel room should have. They don't even have the basics. I thought that I was booking a modernized hotel that was maintained to look vintage but what it actually is is an old, broken down, unloved vintage building that needs more attention and BASIC updates. It really is a shame. Whoever runs this place severely lacks the attention to detail quality. I've never been so let down at a hotel before. Hotel pictures don't match the actual experience. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I for sure feel like I got catfished. read more

This place is SO MUCH fun! We came here on a Saturday night with some friends to enjoy the live band by the pool and some drinks inside at the bar. Let's get it out of the way and address the issue of location...it's on Dickerson Pike. Like DEEP down on Dickerson. At one point this was probably an hourly motel. Get my drift? But when you walk into this place now, you have no idea you're in that area of town. There's about an 8-foot privacy fence around the whole property. When you walk in the front door, you are transformed to another time and place. This place is straight out of the 70's--right down to the wood paneling and etched mirrors. They have a great selection of local beers and a variety of good liquor. If you walk just out back, there's a cute sitting area that's smoker friendly. There's an adorable fireplace, although it doesn't put off much heat. They could use a few of those little heaters out there now that it's cold. Adjacent to the sitting area is their "kitchen," a little food truck they brought in that serves burgers, hot dogs and these amazing things called Disco Fries that will knock your socks off! From what we could see of it, the pool area, the rooms and the outdoor stage area are fun looking and have a ton of character. All of the staff we encountered were very sweet and accommodating. We even really enjoyed the other patrons that came in. All in all, we had an outstanding time and plan to come back to stay the night and have a pool party next summer. I do worry about the shortage of parking once people start hearing about this place!! read more

I fee like this is almost 2 reviews in one. You have the club side, which many of the locals come to, and the motel side. We booked the motel then found out from numerous locals that this was the new place to go for locals. Okay, motel first. If you check in after hours, you will walk through the club and get your keys from the bouncer/security guard. It is so super loud and packed. No fear! Once in your room, you can't hear the party. And, man, is the room cool. Who doesn't love a disco ball? We had it going most of our time in our room. Each room is individually decorated. We were in 13 and it was pink with unicorns! It has everything you need and a mini bar, too. There are no TVs, alarm clocks or phones. But, seriously, didn't even need it. We stayed for 3 nights and the pool wasn't open. I do wish they had the hot tub open. I do wish you had a separate entrance for the motel guests vs nightclub. You do feel pretty hip, though, when there is a line of folks and you can walk in because you are on the list . Parking is an issue if you are staying at the motel. The parking lot is small and the overflow parking is the next lot over. Granted, I hear the area is up and coming (and cool things happening), but I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car over there. It's be nice to have at least 1 designated spot per motel room for easy parking on busy nights. Club part. Super fun. Unassuming by day and a ball of fabulousness at night. It gets crowded but the bar tending staff is so wonderful. You order food from a simple menu at the bar and it's made in the outside food truck. You just have staples such as fries, burgers, hot dogs, etc.. which, after drinking, is all you need! I'd recommend trying the disco fries (comes with cheese and scallions). The burgers aren't big BUT pack a lot of flavor. Overall, pretty great spot to stay. Staff is super nice. It's a short Uber ride downtown or to the strip. I'd definitely come again! read more

We stopped here on a long trip across the country and we're very excited to spend the night at such a unique place. We called ahead to make a reservation and I was sure to tell the staff that we had our baby with us. The man who answered the phone was even nice enough to say he would turn down the music for us if it was too loud. When we arrived, we were told it was a 21+ facility. I understand places like this exists for adults to enjoy adulting however, if you ask if your child is allowed, satay & pay for two rooms ahead of time, you should be allowed to stay. The front desk attendant should have been more apologetic for the mistake. I'm sure this is a great stay but updates to signage , staff training, reception attitude and website are needed. read more

would give this place 0 stars if possible. my fiancé and I booked this place a few weeks ago for our anniversary/babymoon (8 months pregnant) and upon arrival the front desk staff was extremely rude. They laughed in our faces when we arrived and when I asked what was so funny the blonde lady looked me up and down and said "aren't you a little too huge to be traveling?" We honestly had nothing to say because we were in such shock. after getting to our room which was beautiful (unfortunately) we called and asked for the manager on our personal cell phon. upon speaking to the manager and explaining the situation, she simply said "I'm so sorry you beleive she meant that offensively." to which I said how would that not be offensive? and the manager kept reiterating that she "would never mean it in that way." so nothing was done and the manager was trying to gaslight me, a pregnant woman, into believing her front desk staff aren't incredibly rude and condescending. avoided the lobby the rest of the trip for fear of running into that hateful woman or belligerent manager. kinda ruined the trip. read more

Eeeee! This place is so fun! First, the vibe and decor is perfection. Second, the staff were the absolute best humans, consistently offering waters and drinks. Huge wink to the pina coladas with the extra rum shot on top! Third, the pool, bar, lounge area, were all exceptional. Food truck was on property. Parking was easy. I've been following The Dive Motel on Instagram for a while and have been a big fan of its aesthetic. When I visited Nashville, I knew I had to visit the motel. I went to the Dive bar and the drinks were good; however, I have a word of caution. The bartender, younger girl with blondish hair, overcharged me and my friend. I went on Halloween, so I had gotten one halloween special drink (A blood bag) which was advertised for $12. Also, I had gotten one screwdriver in which, judging from their typical drink menu, it should have been $12 max for the drink. For the two drinks, she charged me $44. Also, when she gave me the iPad to pay, she put her own tip in and only put it to the screen where I had to sign-which is unacceptable. Also, my friend got charged $66 for three drinks (1 old fashion, 2 blood bags) and the bartender did that same thing with putting her own tip in. I tried to email myself a receipt, but it gave me some kind of error. So, if you come to visit the Dive bar, be prepared to be overcharged. Don't start a tab there because they will take advantage of that. Instead, pay for each drink with cash and choose the tip based on the service. Honestly, I wouldn't want to tip someone that's trying to take advantage of me and steal my $$. Just my two cents though. Other than that bad experience, I enjoyed seeing the motel in real life. Holy smokes this place gets down on it. Every last detail was perfect. We got in late Friday evening and the bar scene had a DJ spinning some funky fresh tunes. There was a mix of hotel guests and locals bouncing around which gave it life but was not too crowded or a touristy scene at all which I loved. The room itself was soooo awesome. As you will learn when you do stay here, every room has some epic wallpaper, an old school radio (that bumps), a disco ball and a party switch. You truly feel like you just bounced back in time. As soon as you hit the party switch, a light hits the disco ball, the music comes on and you are in your own personal Studio 54. Right outside the room was the heated pool and hot tub. It was nice getting back to The Dive after a day on Broadway and to sober up just a bit in the pool before a nice night out. All and all this place was perfect. Kind of disappointed in my stay this time. I specifically chose this motel as I stayed from out of the state back in February and wanted one of my other friends to experience what I did because it was so great and I loved it. I've emailed the motel twice in the last week and have yet to hear anything back...Yes this motel is amazing and I love the vibes. But this time the vibes bummed me out. I picked this motel for the amenities and the super cool rooms and to not have to leave and stay there for a relaxing night with my friend. The jacuzzi water was extremely low so the jets wouldn't work (we were basically in a bathtub which I could have down in my room) lol we asked an employee and she said she couldn't do anything until after hours... we tried the sauna and there were so many dead bugs in which like I get it it's the Dive Motel lol butttt kind of gross and turned me off. When we asked the hostess about turning it on she didn't even know how to turn it on... Also, the food truck they have on site we were told had been closed for a little while so there was no food. Just kind of bummed with this stay and the no communication when I kindly emailed them and followed up after a week. This place is great aesthetically and the drinks and taco truck were good. But that said, the actual motel/hospitality part of it is very lacking, especially for how much they charge. First, no TV in the rooms. I don't watch a ton of TV on vacation, but I want the option to tune into the local news/weather. Also, for what they're charging there should be a dang TV in the room! To add to that, the wifi signal in our room was non-functional and cell service was also bad. If I can't turn on the TV, I should at least be able to get on the internet from my room. There's also a hidden $60 "resort fee" that isn't listed on the initial receipt. It was just charged to our card with no warning. It's not illegal, but definitely shady. Also, our room had terrible lighting and there was barely any room to put our stuff because there was artisinal, hipster amenities for sale taking up all the counter space. Worst of all was the bad hospitality management. The bartenders and front desk people were nice enough. But when I emailed the motel with questions prior to arrival, I didn't get a response for days. I tried calling them during business hours and nobody picked up. It wasn't until I DM'd them on Instagram that I got a response (what a shock lol). I also emailed them after our stay to get an itemized receipt for what we took from the mini bar (I was concerned we might've been overcharged). Again, no response. I get that places are short-staffed due to covid, but this place seemed to be teeming with young, hip employees. Overall, I didn't exactly feel safe or taken care of by the staff. It feels like there needs to be an adult in the room. Someone who knows how to run a motel. A lot of messed up things can happen in motel/hotel. If you can't even manage answering your phones or emails, I'm worried about what else you can't handle. And for almost $300/night, that's unacceptable. Definitely will not be returning! read more

After a long drive from Florida, we didn't know what to expect upo first glance at the parking lot... We thought we made a mistake: it seemed so unassuming and old-motel looking. Boy were we in for a surprise! Once we walked in the front door it was like we entered a time machine back to the 60's! The bar was quite the hipster experience , the young lady bar tending was a pro at customer service and the ambiance was soooo retro - it was fun/funny (a disco ball in our room lol) yet seriously comfortable. I've been wanting to stay at this motel since I first saw pictures of it a couple of years back. It hits all of my brain's happy spots, and I know people who've had a fantastic time here, so I was thrilled when a conference was taking me close enough that I could take a one night trip to Nashville just to stay at the motel. Due to unfortunate circumstances outside of my control, our plans changed and I wouldn't be able to make the trip to Nashville, so I had to cancel. I followed the instructions on their website and sent an e-mail regretfully canceling, before the 72 hour time frame for receiving a full refund. By the next evening, I realized that I had not received a response from them, so I gave a call. The person who answered was very nice and as helpful as she could be, but working with reservations was not her job and no one else was around, so she really didn't know how to do everything necessary to cancel and refund my stay. I was told that someone would be in touch with me to complete the process, but I never heard from anyone. I sent several e-mail and even used the form to contact them on their website, but still no response. I finally filed a claim with my credit card company to get reimbursed for this charge, something I've never had to do before, but this is exactly why I like things in writing. The next day - 10 days after I initially canceled my stay - I received an e-mail that simply said "Sorry for the delay. I've taken care of processing the refund. We hope to see you soon!" This would have been an appropriate response within the first few days, but not after 10 days and getting the credit card company involved. I'm a reasonable and understanding person who is willing to look past a lot of things for a special resort or hotel, but you can't drop the ball on both the basics of running a motel (reservations/cancellations) AND customer service (acting like it's no big deal to charge a customer for a stay that was properly cancelled and then ignoring their communications). read more

We stayed here for my husbands birthday. It was such a fun and unique place! Clean, all the amenities were maintained impeccably, our room was great and the staff could not have been friendlier! We absolutely will be going back! For a small place, it really was done well! read more

THIS PLACE IS THE ACTUAL WORST!!!!!!!!! We had a bachelorette party and spent THOUSANDS of dollars on a cabana, drinks, & food. We showed up and it was storming yet we still stayed and hung out in the cabana not requesting a refund. When the weather finally cleared up we went to the pool as one does that pays for a pool party.... But us in the pool was too much for the lifeguard with green hair. She immediately had an issue with our presence. We were all hanging out playing innocent games and she put that to a stop immediately, followed up with the telling us we weren't allowed to hug/touch each other. A hidden gem! Doesn't look like much from the outside with semi limited parking BUT on the inside is the most spot on vintage vibe equipped with a bar and nice sized pool open to the public! It was $25 for a weekend day pool pass and you must be 21+ . It is also a motel and they do have an Instagram you can stalk! Truly worth it on a hot day looking for some fun in the sun! Side note: arrive early due to limited seating, they do not allow outside food/drinks, bring your own towels and a nice sized container to hold the water they provide. read more
